I went to Scott and he is wonderful! My kitten knocked over my coffee and it went all over the computer completely shutting it down. I was panicked because so much is in this computer for my work. Very little had been saved to the cloud. I had a new computer that had not been used much so I took them to Scott hoping my drive was not damaged. Within 24 hours I had my new computer back with all my data. He was super kind and patient and VERY RESONABLE. read more

I got messages that my hard drive was maxed out. I have an old Dell desktop that I don't want to replace. I took my computer to Scott at Geeks In Phoenix, he quickly told me what the problem was, explained what needed to be done to correct it. Keeping what I needed and costs in mind, Scott recommended a larger hard drive. He had one in his stash, cloned my hard drive so I did not lose any of my stuff which made me very happy. Had my computer back to me the next morning with a larger hard drive and working perfectly. Prices are VERY reasonable and I highly recommend Geeks In Phoenix for computer repairs. read more

1st time, some years back, data recovery (laptop), very happy with service. 2nd time 2024, I returned as one would due to the 1st encounter. New fan (same laptop.) No, no, no. In my ignorance I should've checked. The replaced fan didn't fan, but went into it's own personal world. I did not return, found somewhere else. read more

Scott does a great job, I needed help where my motherboard fried on my laptop and he was super helpful in getting me back up and working again, highly recommended. read more

What a freaking gentleman. I showed him my laptop and asked what was wrong with it and in the span of 5-10 minutes he told me what was wrong. Also had the humility to tell me that was something he can't fix and referred me to somebody else. Also answered all of my questions thoroughly and politely. What a Chad read more

Scott did an excellent job fixing my laptop. He asked critical questions and produced ideas I had yet to think of. He was also swift, with excellent communication on how far he was from the process. If you have computer issues, the best in the west is Scott from Geeks in Phoenix! Prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, fast, reasonably priced and just a real nice guy! What a successful package he is. I called Scott at Geeks in Phoenix after a previous computer company did a lot of work on my computer because I was getting BSOD almost every day, and they basically didn't fix anything. Scott ran a diagnostic on my computer and noticed the fan was not cooling the compter well enough. He determined that the fan was probably the cause of the BSOD, replaced the fan, increased the RAM and SSD size (at my suggestion, not his--no upselling here!) and voila, everything was fixed. He is an Intel certified expert, he listens to his customers, and he gets things done. His pricing is fair and he is extremely responsive. Doesn't do any unnecessary work, and he is upfront and honest. He runs a great business and I will use him again if I have any issues in the future. read more

Computer went down due to a bad motherboard, Scott helped us recover all the data and put it back on the new computer and for a super reasonable price. Would definitely go back for future computer issues. read more

Front office guy was very kind and humorous. Job was completed on time and was very well done. He also cleaned my computer and helped fix my speakers for free. Was a bit pricey at 150 dollars but worth it if you want quality and a good experience. read more

Great service. I have a complicated setup with six 28" monitors, zillions of connections to devices, NAS, bridge, switch, etc. Scott originally built my system in 2018, but only a 256GB C drive on one of two m2 slots, which were getting full. I researched and got a 2TB 970 EVO, increased memory from 32GB to 64GB, had a bad fan to replace, and replaced a 2 TB HD from 2011, starting to throw SMART errors with a new 8TB drive. While I researched to find compatible parts, I am very uncomfortable in the case physically replacing stuff and especially using a Macrium recovery stick to reload the registry, Windows 10 and get back all my layouts/fences/shortcuts on six large screens. Scott normally has us bring stuff to him so can work on his workbench with all his tools etc. I use PC extensively for business and didn't want to be down any longer than needed and am very unsure about getting all the cable connections back right. I did take pictures and put labels on them in case he had to take it to his shop. Scott did everything at my home in about an hour. All worked!! I can hug my computer again! Very reasonable cost and I had the satisfaction of a computer expert install vs. me trying to fiddle my way around. read more

Scott was great. Had a problem with a loud buzzing in my new PC i bought from iBuyPower. He diagnosed a faulty liquid cooling system and replaced the system with a new one in a few hours. Couldnt say enough good things! read more

Fast and efficient troubleshooting! Appreciate Scott's help over the phone and I am back up and running! Highly recommend!!

I found Scott on Yelp, based on his reviews. He works out of his home and is very professional and really seems to know what he's talking about. My computer has been running very slow and he did several diagnostic tests to see what was going on. After all of his time, and basically deciding that it's just time for a new computer, he didn't even charge me a fee (I did tip him). I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs computer help. read more

Can not recommend Scott and Geeks in Phoenix enough! He went above and beyond throughout the whole process to fix my laptop- communicating whenever there was an important update or asking what course of action I'd like to proceed with, price matching a part to get a lower price and even making sure I had all the information for the warranty of the new part so I wouldn't have to face any hassle in the future. It was also only about 24 hours that my laptop was fixed! It's running like new now and I can pretty much guarantee I would have paid an arm and a leg more at a different place. Thank you for your awesome service Scott! read more

Scott really saved me! My computer was completely locked out with ransomware. Thought I was going to have to buy a new system and just lose everything. Instead he got it cleaned up and running again without losing one thing. And since I forgot to write this review for about a year now, I can say the repairs have held up! Highly recommend and would definitely use again! read more

Scott, I cannot thank you enough. You got straight to working on my PC after it had a booting issue that I would normally be able to fix but you went above and beyond to diagnose my PC and find every issue with it! I would recommend this to any friend with a PC issue, everything is done with patience, with accurate diagnosis, and to perfection. My PC runs like brand new now! I will definitely have this business as my go to spot for any of my PC issues! read more

If you need your computer fixed in record time, Scott, the owner of Geeks in Phoenix, is your man! After shutting off the power to replace two ceiling fans, my desktop PC (HP Pavillion) would not power up. Over the phone Scott diagnosed it as a possible faulty power supply and asked me to bring it in, so I did. Scott was able to see several swollen capacitors on the motherboard...not good! I needed a new motherboard and power supply. I decided to buy a new computer and left for Fry's Electronics. I bought my new desktop and brought it to Scott the next day. He installed my old hard drive and CD/DVD writer in the new PC and had it ready for pick up the same day! Thank you, Scott for such a painless transition to my new computer. I hope I never have computer problems, but if I do, I will certainly call Geeks in Phoenix again! read more

I took my PC in to Scott at Geeks in Phoenix because one of the fans in the case wasn't working. He handled my computer with care and was able to intelligently diagnose that it was simply a faulty fan and not a power supply issue or something else. Since he unbundled my wires, he gave me some replacement cable ties, and when all was said and done and he put my computer back together, he wouldn't even take payment for helping me diagnose the problem. All in all, he is a great guy and also great with computers and I won't hesitate to go back to him if I have issues in the future. read more

Scott has helped me with repairing my gaming PC in the past. He was incredibly helpful, nice, and happily explains every step of the repair. He even tidied up my disasterous cable management. Recently, I moved from AZ to OR and had to try my luck with a local shop when my laptop crashed. After a miserable experience with the local Oregon shop that failed to fix my laptop problem (and lied and charged me anyways), I turned to someone I trusted and e-mailed Scott asking about remote assistance. Scott the miracle-worker was able to successfully diagnose the issue and provide a me an affordable solution remotely just based on the brief description of the problem I had given him via e-mail. Voila, his solution had my laptop back in action! He fixed my computer immediately without even looking at it when the other shop failed to repair it and had it for over a week! Seriously, Scott is the man and I always recommend him to anyone who needs help with computer problems. I'd give him more than 5 stars if I could! read more

Easiest, fastest, friendliest service. I had a simple repair to my laptop that I could not figure out for the life of me. Scott fixed it no problem. I found this shop on yelp and needed a quick repair of my laptop hinge coming apart. Geek Squad and Data Doctors said they needed to send in to fix, but I couldn't bee without a computer so needed an in-store fix. Called and spoke to Santos and described problem and he said he would need to see it first, but would be happy to try and fix with parts he had and worst case would need to order parts. Brought it to him and before he let me open the laptop, he said turn it on it's backside first and within 20 seconds he found a missing screw and replaced and fixed the problem...no charge...he said just spread the word! So there you go...I'm a fan! Thanks Santos...great job and customer service! read more

All I have to say is.....thank you Scott. I have FINALLY found someone that I trust to work on my computers. I will never take them anywhere else. The desktop and laptop I took to him are running 100% better than they did before. Scott took the time to explain to me (in English, not computer) what problems I had and what he had done to fix them. About a month prior to finding Geeks in Phoenix, I took my desktop to the Staples computer repair, the computer came back to me even slower than it was when I brought it in, it wasn't fixed AND it cost me $100....and don't even get me started on the Best Buy Geek Squad (many bad, expensive experiences with them). Scott fixed everything right and did it quickly and very reasonably! Very satisfied customer! read more

If you are looking for someone who is honest and knowledgeable about computers this is the guy. My laptop was acting strange and giving me all sorts of problems one night after downloading a movie thank heavens for this expert he saved me from a host of problems which turned out to be nothing since the laptop just needed to be cleaned out and a new virus software system installed. What is awesome about this guy is how he charges and their is no other company out their utilizing his system he actually only charges you when he working on your computer so if he has 5 systems in front of him he has a timer on when he starts and stops working on yours. This would of cost me $75 dollars or more but in the end it was a simple $20 for diagnostic and software updates. Excellent and highly recommended my computer works better than before. read more
