I've got to tell you, Bob really spent a lot of time helping me with my computer. There were so many problems from six years accumulations of viruses, malware, and everything out there that found it's way into my computer. He had to get rid of over 4,000 items, download the data I wanted to save, like pictures, music, and files, and then reset the computer back to the way it came from the factory. He spent the day with me replacing the operating system and setting me up with programs I needed to protect my computer in the future. He is easy to work with and is extremely competent when it comes to computers. Now, because of Bob, I know what I need to do to keep my computer up and running. I was a first time customer at ICU. I was impressed with the owner, Bob Plourde, and his computer shop. I had brought in a new Pc with Windows 11. I needed Bob to transfer all my data from the old Pc to the new one. He is very pleasant, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions thoroughly. He gave me a written service quote which I felt was a fair price. I left his shop at 9 a.m. Then 4 hours later, he called and said the data transfer was finished. My Pc was ready to be picked up. When I arrived back at his shop, he helped me setup some of my programs, and he gave me a visual tour of my new Pc. He explained many of the new features of Windows 11 to me. Bob has saved me many times! Computer literacy is not my strong point. I bought my wife a new Dell Computer, followed set up instructions and it quit working. Brand new computer!! I have owned numerous Dell's over the years. Bob looked it over and said simply, return it. I did. Followed set up instructions and wahoo. But I did take it to Bob and doubly made sure I had transferred everything from the old computer so my wife would not kill me for losing grandchildren pictures. I went in with a broken (frame) bezel(?) and a computer that was running slow. He was very understanding and helpful. He fixed the frame while I was standing there. And then we decided to clear out the computer for a new user. After I went home he went on to verify my needs and turned out it was going to have to do a complete clear out and start up. When that didn't work, thanks to my lack of malware and a couple virus's, he ended up going back to factory settings and installing windows 10. This was so much beyond my ability and I'm sure the Best Buy fix would have been adequate. Bob was extremely patient, courteous, and helpful! We found out about ICU from a friend after we were victims of a scam that rendered our computer ruined. Bob Plourdet took it and worked wonders, completely restoring the computer to be as good as new. We joined his remote service and now enjoy being able to make a phone call, have ICU take temporary control of the screen, and solve the problem in minutes! I needed a new computer battery. Bob was so easy to work with! He sent me the link to order a new battery at the lowest price. I dropped my computer & battery off at his shop, ran a quick errand, and 30 minutes later, my computer was ready to go. Bob came to my home and was able to network my computers and printer. I was constantly having issues with Quickbooks and my computers communicating with each other. He also gave advice and installed a router that would help strengthen my internet and run computers faster. He was reliable and honest. Bob was absolutely incredible! My computer would boot up but not connect to the internet. Bob took the time to run diagnostics while I was there to see if it was an easy fix.
