My boyfriend and I were on a week long road trip and stopped in because the menu sounded good, despite the reviews, but were extremely disappointed after our experience. I got the rime rib (which only comes cooked medium or higher) which was decent, and a side salad which was pretty good minus the stale bread crumbs (ew). Sadly, his great tasting burger gave him FOOD POISONING which he felt as he proceeded to get sick that night and continue to be ill the following day. Overall, the service was eh, and the food wasn't anything to write home about. 12/10 would not return if we had the opportunity. read more

The beer was neutral and okay. The food was terrible for a brewery. This place feels like it was redone early 2000 brewpub. The menu is too large, therefore the food is mediocre in order to keep food available for each item. They need to completely redo the menu. Also, been all over and this part of the country, $5 for a pint seems expensive, especially from the source. This was one of the few places open but I wouldn't waste my time. This is coming from someone who has been to 200 plus breweries over 35 countries and 49 states. They need to figure out what makes most sense for the menu and specialize in those items. I ordered the chicken burrito and although reasonably priced, it was just stewed chicken in a cheap flour wrap. The owners should be embarrassed to serve this. The staff/bartenders should also be embarrassed to let anyone even order this. If another brewery were to open up fitting with a new concept, it would shut this place down. read more

I don't understand the good reviews about this place. My husband and I ate there last night and we had to sent back his chili verde burrito. The pork was boiled completely tasteless over a bed of precooked rice and some overcooked veggies and bean that look just out of a can. My fish tacos were OK, the cod was good but they were served over the same sad veggies and rice. He got a burger instead which was edible but not that good either. Lunch for three of us....Greek pasta, ravioli and the meatball sub special. The service was great but the food was just ok. The ravioli was over cooked but the sauce was good. My Greek pasta was lacking taste (add garlic!) and my daughter barely touched her meatball sub it was "just not very good". We went on a Hummer tour and our guide recommended this place. For the first time, we were not home for Thanksgiving.....yikes! We decided that we needed to find a place that was serving a Thanksgiving dinner so that we could at least feel like we were celebrating the holiday (and seeing nothing but turkey pics on our Facebook and IG accounts was just a tease!) I emailed several restaurants a couple of weeks before and Moab Brewery was actually the only restaurant that actually emailed me back, thanks Shar. I was told that they would be open and details would be posted on their website one week prior to Thanksgiving. I kept checking and nothing was posted, even the day of so we called to make sure and were given the thumbs up that they would be serving Thanksgiving dinner. So happy we chose Moab Brewery!! The place is huge, busy, had really cool outdoor stuff hanging all over the walls and ceiling, obviously popular and they did an amazing job! Our server Kelly was super busy but friendly and we never felt like she forgot about us. The fiery furnace wings were spicy enough to satisfy our need for heat, the Thanksgiving dinner came out quickly and we were so pleasantly surprised with the taste, portion size and quality of everything. We really felt like it was Thanksgiving as our food coma began to set in. With our eyes glazing over we packed up some left overs and stumbled over to get a cup of gelato to-go. We got 15% off by showing our receipt and then proceeded to enjoy blueberry creme brulee gelato - hey it has less fat than ice cream, don't judge!! Every single employee was friendly, the hostesses, server, food runner, the guy selling beer and the woman working the gelato counter. We left feeling so full and happy. The IPA was excellent! The food was very good and service exceptional. I was very impressed with the vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. However I was very disappointed that their veggie burger option was the Impossible Burger. Most people eating a plant based diet do so for a health conscious lifestyle. The Impossible Burger is loaded with GMO Soy. A better alternative would be the Beyond Burger which contains no soy or lectins. We enjoyed our meal but I would have ordered a burger and fries had it not been GMO soy. read more

While this is a brewery I didn't order any beer. I ordered a burger with onion rings - great choice. The burger was juicy and done the way I like it. The onion rings were crispy and crunchy. The other person in my party ordered the nachos-OMG! When the nachos arrived, it was a huge mound of chips completely covered with chicken and typical nacho "stuff". The nachos were amazing. The place was packed when we arrived. In retrospect, I don't understand why. We came back on a week night and waited about 30 minutes. The large retail part at the front of the store should have been a tip-off. This is a tourist destination for sure. Normally I'd expect a brewery to have OK food and decent beer. The food was not impressive. The chicken was overcooked, the tri-tip was dry; at least the fish tacos were OK. The beer was disappointing. The stout was rather thin and lacking in flavor. The hefeweizen was a slight improvement on Coors Light, but hey at least they gave us a lemon. The Lizard Ale was light and refreshing as advertised. Our friend ordered a glass of white wine that could have come straight from a Capri sun pouch. read more

Really good micro brewery, nice cozy atmosphere, and really good beer. We shared a sampler and then took a long time mulling over which once we each wanted pints of b/c we loved them all. Better than average (I am SO sick of brewpubs that just open sysco packages!) barfood with lots of options for my vegetarian self. I ended up with a veggie burrito, which was great. Unusual, in a good way. If they tried to make it authentic it may have fallen short due to all the great mexican I'd been having in Utah and Arizona, but they didn't, they made it wacky with pineapple and walnuts, and it really worked. Our waitress was nice and the food and beer came out pretty quickly. My only complaint is that they didn't have any nice sweatshirts! I'd been borrowing my bfs spare since I forgot to bring one (when I was in utah in june it didn't get quite so cold at night!) and was hoping to buy one here, but the two designs didn't really speak to me, in general I'd rather buy a souvenir with the breweries name on it than with the name of one of the beers. Well this place was very good, but not strong, yet I found myself there everyday. I realize you can get the stronger stuff in can in the front, but I hate the flavor of beer out of a can. We ate here twice in the two days we spent in Moab. The first night we were craving vegetables, so I had a vegetable wrap and he had a vegetable burrito. Portions were very generous, and i was really happy about the quality and quantity of the vegetables in my wrap - all the advertised components were present in very satisfactory amounts, real nice dark greens were used, and the onion rings were plentiful and crispy. I had a brown ale (near-beer) that got me drunk and was generally unremarkable. The second time we went for lunch after returning from backcountry camping. Got good and primed on an imperial stout from a bottle that approached 8% abv, and then went with a chicken wrap of some sort (I don't remember exactly) that came with an INCREDIBLE lime vinaigrette that was so good I asked for extra to take home. BF had a burger that he enjoyed. The beer ended up being surprisingly expensive, like $15 for a bottle (big bottle), but that's ok! Neither time permitted me to try the gelato, but that's ok. The food was great and prices were very reasonable, service was pretty good, and I'd recommend the place to anyone looking for a nice bite in a casual atmosphere. read more

To be completely honest, we had low expectations when we walked into Moab Brewery. Although it was crowded, it looked like a kitschy tourist trap: decorated like an old West TGIFridays with a ton of t-shirts and merch (and gelato?) on sale up front. We figured it was going to be a meal of greasy fried food and watery beer, but we were totally wrong. To start, the wait staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. We asked our waitress and two others (a busboy and another waitress) what they recommended to eat, and they each gave enthusiastic recommendations -- no wishy washy "oh this is good, that's okay" type stuff. Our waitress also made excellent beer recommendations, and both the brews and the homemade root beer were delicious. Now to the food. It wasn't expensive, yet it was well-prepared and delicious. We had the smoked tri-tip (such a great smoky flavor and the beef was super tender) and the turkey sandwich (fresh sprouts and Dijon spread with a kick). We finished with a brownie sundae, which was big enough to share. Overall, a totally satisfying meal with no flaws. We would definitely come back again! Also of note: they serve full-strength beer, not the low alcohol brews you'll find at other places in Utah. read more

They had a good selection of their beers on tap; yes, all were the 3.2% variation. I tried the sample of the Red Rye IPA. They charge $.69 for samples since they can't give away beer by law, much cheaper than other 4oz pours that I've seen, so no complaining here. It had a good flavor, but was missing something. Maybe that something was alcohol. The hubby and I opted for their regular alcohol content bottled/canned beer. I was very happy to see a few creative non-meat dinners to choose from. We got the Veggie Burrito and the Veggie Wrap. The helpings were plentiful. The Burrito had a lot going on, it worked but needn't try so hard to be everything to everyone. The wrap had 'house roasted eggplant;' I would love to see the roasting. They were tiny breaded sadly soggy things; a bit frightening really. The rest of it was your basic veggie wrap. The onion rings had a higher onion to batter ratio which I love, a bit on the oily side. For the price, it was in yelp terms "A-OK." Service was adequate and polite. My first time in UT, so excuse my nativity, but after reading about their alcohol laws, I was expecting some women in long skirts frowning at our ordering the bottled beer. But the wait staff in the bar area were...how shall I say this...bad a$s, punk with spiked hair stripped green, piercings, and unique facial hair (on the guy). Like they have been around the block. They didn't blink an eye at the drunk at the bar talking loudly, cursing up a storm. The place was not uptight at all! Illusions are shattered. read more

I'm giving 4 stars for a couple reasons. The food was pretty good and you get a huge portion size for your money. Second, the beer and drinks were great. I was SO surprised with two entrees, two beers, and a mixed drink came out to 33 bucks, and it was a LOT of food. The only cons are that the place was crowded beyond belief, and we went on a Wednesday night. Took 30 minutes to get a table, and when I tried to grab a beer at the bar to pass the time some locals who seemed to know the bartender totally cut me off, rude. Also, the service at our table initially took several minutes to arrive, usually I barely know what I want to drink when they first show up, but this time I knew drink and entree by the time we finally got service. Overall this place is fun. Good atmosphere, affordable and large entrees. I would come back again to try more of the beer! read more

Stopped in an hour before closing on a Sunday night and the place was still 1/2-3/4 full. There is a small gift shop at the entrance and many pictures, props, etc. that coincide with the outdoor lifestyle of Moab. The decor fits the area perfectly. My BF and I were not overly hungry so we decided to share a chicken burrito. The burrito was massive. We were unable to finish it between the two of us. It was a huge tortilla she'll stuffed with loads of chicken. Unlike most burritos that have a little meat and lots of fillers, this thing was probably 2/3s chicken. The sides of rice and beans were also massive in portion size and were of good quality. The food ranks as a 4.5-5 star experience for Moab. We had chosen to sit at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and helpful with both the drinks and the food menu. They cannot give you beer samples without charging you for it because of some lame Utah law. My BF and I both had one of the breweries micro brews (I had a lighter beer and he had a stout) We both thought the beer was very good and filled with flavor unique to the brewery. Upon receiving our bill we discovered that the pints of micro-brew were only $2.50!!!! Probably a good thing we didn't realize that earlier. Anyways, I would rank the beer as a 5 star and the service as top notch as well. This was my favorite place to eat/drink in all of Moab. read more

In Moab on vacation and our love for craft beer forced my fiancée and I to give this place a try. So glad we did! I tried the Over The Top Hefeweizen and my fiancée had the Porcupine Pilsner. Both were excellent. For appetizers we ordered the bar pretzel with beer cheese dip and jalapeño fries. Both were good. The fries, as you can imagine have a kick, so stay on your waitress to keep the beer flowing! For dinner I had the Jack Daniels burger and my other half tried the patty melt. Again both were very good. We returned two days later for another round. This time I had the jalapeño turkey melt and she had a salad and beer cheese soup. Both were good. Service was pretty good and the atmosphere is great. Definitely a great sports hit in Moab. read more

Stopped in here for an appetizer while waiting for Paradox Pizza to open at 4. This is probably the best strip mall in Moab. Great bike shop (Chile Pepper), great pizza (Paradox) and a solid brewery all right next door to each other. First of all, if Utah wasn't totally ass-backwards with their alcohol laws, this place would be even better. As it stands, no kids in the bar area (bummer on a Sunday if you wanted to watch any football), and only 3.2 beer on tap. Meh. We ordered some pork nachos and buffalo wings. Thankfully, they are able to serve real beer as long as it comes from a can or bottle. Ordered a bottle of their house brewed Trippel, which was a bit tame, but not bad. Nachos were great, and wings were very good. Everything came out quickly, too. Service was very good; service was attentive and knowledgeable. Decor is nice, atmosphere is very relaxed. A nice chill spot for lunch. Prices are a little higher than they should be, but it's a vacation destination, so I guess that's to be expected. They also sell a ton of different gelato varieties in the front of the restaurant, too. Thumbs up from my girlfriend and her daughter, so I'd say they're solid. read more

It's usually not so jam-packed, but this is one of the more popular places, so if you're in on a holiday weekend, be prepared for a wait. Food: I would compare it most to a Red Robin - the food's nothing to write home about, relatively overpriced when you consider that you could probably make it yourself, and straight American. We've been to Moab Brewery three times now. On the first day we had lunch. Hubby had an awesome burger with HOT fries and I had the chile verde burrito. Both were excellent. On our two subsequent visits we just had beer after hiking for several hours. Hubby loves the Porcupine Pilsner and I've tried Johnny's IPA and the Red IPA. If you like IPAs, try Johnny's in the can. Nothing special, but perfectly acceptable bar food and decent beer after a long day in the parks. Being the tourist town that it is, be aware of you get any of the beers on tap, Utah law keeps the ABV lower than you may be used to. Stick to cans and bottles. read more

My hubby had the Moab Pilsner and I had the Red Rye IPA- both brews were to our individual liking and we would certainly order them again.
