I can say right here and now... I ran out of power on my phones right before enjoying a beer at Copper Club. So alas I have no pictures to share which I am not amused by but it is what it is. I did really like the space here though as it has a nice, spacious outdoor seating area which is perfect to enjoy on warm (but not overwhelming) summer days. Definitely a nice place to relax... and it looks like special events such as bands or things like a Geeks Who Drink type of nature is popular here. I got their Hoocheweizen. A Hefeweizen if you put two and two together which was a nice, refreshing beer. Flavor highlights with this beer are typical of that of this beer style with banana, clove, sweetness and some sour. It is very well balanced however and the clove and banana are not too overpowering to make their presence on the more unpleasant side... I have had Hefeweizen's that were heavy handed with both but not the case here. The place is friendly and fun and is located right downtown Fruita so you can stroll around and take in the amenities of downtown with ease! read more

Copper Club is a special place. Yes, they have a wide array of really great beers. If you can't find a brew you enjoy, you probably aren't a beer drinker. While food is not served, you can bring your own, or have any one of many local establishments deliver. However, Copper Club is more than that. It's the cultural epicenter of town. The staff has worked really hard to keep customers safe during COVID. They will also deliver (yay!) While some places haven't taken the pandemic seriously, these guys have, and will always win my dollars, as they have gone above and beyond in this weird time. We all look forward to the day we can go back to a crowded noisy taproom, laughing with friends and meeting new people over a excellent beer. read more

The owners are very personable and are always there running the place. Dan is the Brewmeister and this man knows how to brew beer! Excellent beer and the bartender was friendly and efficient / no other wait staff present and he took care of a crowded room (and patio) on a wonderful sunny afternoon. We ordered a flight- The IPA was great, but the Decapitation Red was a delightful brew that nudged it out for the growler fill. It's perfectly balanced. Amber, Rye pale and double IPA were solid. Writing this review as a local. Copper club use to be located on the Main Street of Fruita. It was welcoming and fun. It since has move a block away and the new open space is great. The outside seating and activates that entertain both adults and kids is inviting. However, the service has turned as well as the quality of the crafted beer. To my disappointed my party and I were treated rudely due to us having an empty growler from another restaurant/brewery. We were told we could not have it there. It was empty. They served only single glasses of beer, no pitchers and growlers I was told was only for to go. Upon checking out the bartender came over and I asked for my bill. The tender said ok and it will be a second. She finished helping her current customer next to me and walked away to the corner and conversed with her friends in a corner for 15min while I stood at the bar waiting. I was the only other person at the bar. Lucky I could express my frustration with the customer service with a low tip. As a local I don't plan on returning as the place has become very "clique" and if you are not part of it you seem to be an inconvenience to the staff. Beer was meh as well. Other places that are have better beer and even better service. read more

This is a great place to hang out. Usually a mellow vibe. Perfect to have a couple drinks and talk with friends.

My husband and I were visiting from San Diego with our 8month old, when we snuck into this brewery early one evening. And so far it's been the best brewery on our visit. The atmosphere is super welcoming as people sit around and nosh on pretzels and take out, their dogs by their sides. A view of downtowns Main Street. Locals at the bar. Kids playing video games, board games all around and a hat rack full of fun hats (interesting conversation starter for sure). The bartender was super kind and informative. She was excited to share her love for Fruita and the surrounding area knowing that we were visiting. And let's not forget the beer. Like I said, this is the best brewery on our trip! My husband had the seasonal maple beer (I'm so bad w names) and I had the coffee porter. I wish we had more time just to go back and enjoy another beer. read more

ASH! ASH! ASH!!! Hands down the BEST beertender I have ever met at a brewery. She was engaging, knew her beer, we swapped great stories, and totally made our visit here downright perfect! We came right as they opened, the kids (4 of them) picked sodas, grabbed a table and started playing chess/checkers that are at each table; also have darts and board games. The grown ups (4 of us) sidled up to the bar to sample Copper Club's offerings. The space is rustic and cozy, with room for only about 6 people at the bar but plenty of tables. Started with a flight, Ash listened to my feedback as I described to my friends what I liked and didn't like. She then offered me tastes of a couple others I hadn't chosen for my flight to make sure I got a rounded experience :) Their El Guapo stout was perfection!! The 18 Road IPA was hubby's favorite. All of their beers really stood on their own. We were the only ones there, so at some point I expected her to fade away like most beertenders, but she stayed and chatted with us the whole time. To be fair, we were the only people there short for a quick stop by a couple who grabbed some bombers, but she didn't have to chat us up, she could have pretended to have work to do elsewhere. But so glad she didn't! She is truly one of the most interesting people I have ever met! She is well-traveled, active, entrepreneurial, has an endearing perspective on family, and literally can talk about anything! Thanks for making our visit memorable Ash. Listen the beer is trash. I'm tired of people Telling me it's good ...: it isn't. Maybe for fruita Colorado you can have your nips blown off by beer that isn't pbr but for the rest of us that's not hill billy bumpkin trash we know what good beer is. It's laughable that they say any of their beer has won awards. I could brew better in my garage. The inside is meh. Rustic, industrial, and homey, mom and pop brewery, with good beer. No food here, but I saw someone receive delivery, with gleeful excitement. I think we had an ESB, and an IPA, I liked both. They had around 10 choices on tap. A few locals were enjoying a pint, and relaxing, which I would recommend you come in and do to. read more

Man, I really, really wanted to love this place, but alas, It just didn't happen for me. I don't know if I just hit it on an off night, perhaps it was just my mood that day I dunno. I thought the beers were not great, the hoocheweizen was probably the best. I sampled all of them. I don't recall an imperial IPA being offered perhaps it wasn't available that night. I did try an IPA and it just didn't cut it. There was an older gent strumming away with his acoustic guitar and carrying on conversations over the microphone with a couple right by the stage. It was kind of sad. I know it's got to be hard to find decent local musical talent in Fruita, and sure, everybody's taste is different, but this really put a damper on my mood. I will probably go back when we hit Fruita again, because I really want to give this place another shot. Getting food from hot tomato and eating here is the way to go. read more

I really like Copper Club. Their beer is good enough to carry this place even if it offered nothing else. But it does! A cozy, intimate, craft-brewery-esc setting complete with board games, REAL darts (the danger makes it exciting!), and small seating area denote this establishment as a Western Slope treasure. They do not serve food, so I'm confused about at least one of these reviews... It's really cool that they allow people to bring in food from outside, though. Could some nice food truck people park outside occasionally? Thanks. The prices are excellent for a small brewery. I stop in to fill my mini-growler whenever I'm in Fruita. read more

Walked into this place and thought - where am I and why am I here. Ambiance is beyond casual. LOVED the hoocheweisen beer. So flavorful - you really could taste the spices. The hat rack of all sorts of hats and scarves encourage dressing up, all manner of board games, friendly people. I can really see hanging out here. They have a monthly pot luck - otherwise, bring in food from the sushi next door or pizza around the corner. But - try this if you are a beer drinker and don't let the first view put you off. I was looking for a drink to celebrate a great day. Unfortunately, they didn't have a full bar, but Daniel was sooo friendly and helpful and chatted with us for a bit! A patron and local, Mark, actually offered to escort us to a nearby bar that served hard liquor. He was terrific, too. This town is amazing, and the people are some of the nicest I've ever met anywhere. I do hear their beer is the best, though!! Walked into and right back out of Copper Club last night. As soon as our party walked in the older lady pouring beer at the bar was extremely rude and started yelling. I understand that everyone has a right to refuse service to anyone regardless, but there is a way to do it professionally. She was extremely unprofessional and yelled in front of other customers because two people in our party didn't have their masks on yet and pointed very aggressively. Regardless of what type of business you are in you should be treating people professionally unless someone is getting out of hand. This was my first time there and I will never go back and will never recommend it. read more
