Great experience here! I absolutely love that they have a toys for the kids -- it made the visit so much more relaxing and truly family friendly. The burger was delicious, the beer was super refreshing & cheap, and everything was beautifully set up and displayed. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which really made the whole experience even better. Overall, this place is a gem. We will definitely be coming back!

We were visiting downtown Grand Junction, CO, and happened upon Trail Life Brewing. It caught our eye because they were jammed with people. Also because my husband and I are big outdoor nature people. They have a nice craft beer selection including two of my favorite beers of all time, Oskar Blues Death by Coconut , and Left Hand Brewing's Milk Stout. We got there right before they closed, so unfortunately we missed out on their food. Next time we will have to try some. The menu looked great.

Located downtown. They have inside and outside seating. You order at the counter and then find a spot to sit. They bring your food out. I ordered a beer and a slush for my drinks. For my food, I had the Brussels sprouts and the katsu banh mi. The Brussels sprouts: definitely a must. So good. Perfectly seasoned. The portion is shareable. The katsu banh mi. I made mine vegan. They replaced the chicken with tofu steaks. The do tofu steaks were thick. The French bread was soft. The flavors were great. It came with a side of fries or a salad. I opted for the salad. The salad was a good size. The Mexican lager (porch pounder) is made by them. It is light. They did offer a lime which I recommend. The slush was bourbon type. It wasn't overly sweet. Parking is street parking, but you may have to walk a few blocks. A lot of their dishes can be made vegan or vegetarian. The outside is dog friendly. Everyone we encountered was helpful.

What a fun and cool place!! We walked up to the counter to order and the staff was super friendly and upbeat. We ordered two beers and a burger and Massaman Katsu curry. Both were delicious. The burger was thick and juice, with all the accompaniments. The curry was ridiculously good. Pretty much located in the heart of downtown. We sat at the raised table top bar, looking out at the passersby-ers. Neat place! Will be back!

Casual and outdoor seating during the summer. Fantastic brews and great food. Kitschy outdoor theme. Looking forward to trying more options when we have time

I ate the CHICKEN KATSU with side Salad. I have to say, this is one of the best salads I've had in a long time. The KATSU burger was great too. Lots of good ingredients. I wish they had soda on the tap. Bartenders check on me periodically. Nice group. I recommend stopping here if in Grand Junction.

Selective craft beer menu and creative cocktail menu. Burgers and sandwiches with an Asian/American/Mexican Fusion Great location lots of shops and nice place to walk around before or after grabbing a drink or bite.

I've now eaten in and ordered to-go a few times, and I can say these people consistently provide tasty meals! The options are classic-with-a-twist. My most recent favorite is the Chicken Katsu sandwich, but I also really enjoy The Patagonia sandwich. Each hits a different sweet spot for me! They're also usually pretty accurate with their time estimates for to-go orders, which is really nice. You don't end up waiting or with cold food, either.

Four of us shared the following: Vegan Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts, Vegan Hummus and Kwarma with Falafel, Vegan Katsu Bahn Mi with side salad, and Vegan Falafel Wrap with fries These are way better than the average bar food. Much of it is stand alone restaurant level great food. The dishes weired best were the Falafel Wrap and Katsu Bahn Mi. The tofu cutlets in the BahnMi were substantial and satisfying with tasty other items in the sandwich. It was my favorite item at this meal, with the falafel being by next favorite. I really liked that the menu is clearly marked which items can be made vegan on request, and when placing the order theircrew is happily accommodating of such requests. I would gladly eat here again the next time we are in the area.

This was an on the whim restaurant and oh boy was it worth it! Trail Life is DELICIOUS! I love how you order at the front and sit anywhere makes the wait time much faster. The environment is super welcoming and safe especially if you're on a first date. The curry is a must try, it's so good, it's got a little spice but is creamy and delicious. The Patagonia sandwich is a sweet and savory with skinny fries.

A drink for lunch on vacation? Yes please! This was the winter cider they just started serving. It was delish!

Stopped in on our way over to Moab and so happy we did! The food was great (seriously great burger) and the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely go back and recommend it to others.

I drove in off the highway which burned a little bit of time but I'm so happy I did! Amazing food at this place! The veggie pakoras were out of this world. The house-made falafel was also outstanding. Almost all menu items could be made with meat, vegetarian or vegan. Brilliant! I'll definitely be back as I cross Colorado. Thank you!

We ordered the " Chicken Katsu" sandwich and it was really good. One of the best sandwiches we have ever had. The chicken was cooked close to perfection and the sauce had the perfect amount of spice. Really excited to have learned about this join.

Ask the Community - Trail Life Brewing

    Are dogs allowed here?

Due to City Health rules, because we have a kitchen, we do not allow dogs inside our building. They are allowed on the patio if they are quiet, well behaved, and on a leash. Thanks for asking!

We decided to drop in without a reservation. The host was honestly pretty weird about it. He told us he had to go ask his waiters if they would even agree to take us. Truth be told, that is a bizarre way to welcome paying guests. They ultimately found a spot for us. Then they abandoned us for a solid fifteen minutes before anyone even approached the table. We finally ordered our drinks and watched another twenty minutes tick away. I went with the CMU Centennial Manhattan. It is built with a Colorado bourbon, sweet vermouth, local hot honey, bitters, and a bordeaux cherry. A proper Manhattan needs a careful balance between the whiskey and the sweet vermouth to round out the bite. Honestly, they were just way too heavy-handed with that hot honey. It was so aggressively spicy that it just wasn't enjoyable. My wife ordered the Lavender Lemon Drop. Hers was actually perfectly balanced with a really nice citrus kick. We put in an order for the Deviled Kitchen Eggs. Another twenty minutes passed before they hit the table. They make them with a tempura fried egg white and an herb yolk. I appreciate the attempt at a crispy texture. They were decent but ultimately nothing special. My wife ordered the Bison Tip Pappardelle. I decided on the Roasted Dirty Hippie Half Chicken. They use a local Palisade beer marinade for the chicken. I ordered it with duck fat potato dippers and truffle yucca on the side. Another thirty minutes crawled by before the main courses arrived. Both dishes were just huge letdowns. The pappardelle noodles were completely stuck together in a starchy clump. The wild mushroom cream sauce was overly sweet and cloying instead of savory. The bison meat was tough and tasted exactly like plain boiled beef. There was absolutely nothing enjoyable about that pasta dish. My chicken wasn't any better. It had a terribly rubbery texture. It felt like it was roasted three days ago and lazily reheated. The skin was soggy and gross instead of crisp and properly rendered. The duck fat dippers were completely missing that deep, savory richness you expect when cooking with animal fats. The truffle yucca was actually pretty tasty. A good side dish just can't make up for a terrible main course, though. We didn't bother asking for a second round of drinks. The food was so poor that we skipped dessert and just asked for the check. The panoramic view of the Colorado National Monument from the rooftop is fantastic. A beautiful sunset just isn't enough to excuse a bad dinner, though. We expected a much higher-end culinary experience. What we got felt like a bunch of college students running a very disorganized experiment. I would definitely skip this spot.

A month ago I got the ham and cheese croissant and it tasted like something from a gas station. But I wanted to give them one more change. And the stuffed French toast sounded yummy. I was wrong. The menu claims "Thick‑cut Texas toast filled with sweet cream cheese, and topped with seasonal berries dipped in cinnamon‑vanilla batter, and grilled untill golden". The only thing that had flavor was the berries. The two slices of bread was like what you got at the grocery store (not thick and definitely not Texas toast) the cream cheese was bland and was put between them like if it was a PJ and J sandwich, and the toast was just bland no vanilla or cinnamon flavor. The only flavor came from the syrup and berries. Also it was soggy, I started to eat it like less then 3 minutes after getting it and even waited for it to be done made (so it wasn't sitting there for a while getting soggy waiting for me to pick it up). Definitely not worth the $13.
