A fun meal with good cocktails Located on the mezzanine level (there are only stairs in the front and an elevator in the back), Moody's can get crowded. The cocktails are creative. The staff is helpful.

Surprised my girlfriend with a visit to Grand Junction and we decided to check out Moody's....so glad we did! The atmosphere is cozy and dark with a cool, intimate vibe. From the moment we walked in, the staff and our bartender were super welcoming and attentive. We kicked things off with cocktails. I had a Cosmopolitan and my girlfriend had a Hibiscus Margarita. Both were perfectly made, flavorful, and honestly some of the best we've had. We weren't planning on a full meal, just a few bites, but the food tempted us. The curry lamb eggrolls were outstanding.....packed with flavor and cooked just right. We'd 100% order them again. We also shared the calamari, which was delicious, and ended up ordering another round of drinks because everything was just that good. Highly recommend Moody's for a great drink, tasty bites, and a chill atmosphere!

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and service! It wasn't exactly a very hidden speakeasy (I recommend reservations) but I would call it a very classy cocktail lounge. Loved every drink we got. The food was very good although it was priced at high end, it didn't overly impress. Overall it was a great experience and I will be happy to go back again!

Medium rare steak. Grateful they know what medium rare is! Lol.

I had been in the road for 5 hours, & the whole time I knew I wanted steak for dinner. So happy I found Moody's! I went for the filet and swapped out the roasted fingerling potatoes for the truffle mash. There could've def been more truffle, but still delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the service was on point at the bar. The ambiance is dark and... moody. Lol Definitely recommend coming here for a lovely and lively vibe.

Honestly, I love a good speakeasy but aside from the great service and the bread, this place had no redeeming qualities. The lounge area ambiance far outweighs the dining area's so don't bother getting a reservation. Do NOT use their bathroom under any circumstance and do NOT get the steak... The bathroom was dirty, old, and smelled like raw sewage. The $50 ribeye steak was completely inedible. Also, their drinks were subpar and very expensive. I wouldn't go back if you paid me to.

Great atmosphere, from the paneling to the giant black-and-white prohibition-era photos to the lighting! And the staff fit right in, both in style and service. We had lunch here, and the menu was suitably fun. They offer a little bit of everything, from chicken to steak to salmon to burgers--each with a little twist to take it beyond average. I enjoyed the truffle fries. They weren't over-truffled, which was lovely.

Moody's Lounge was an eclectic sort of feel. You walk upstairs from a clothing store to get to the entrance of the restaurant. There's a lounge area to sit while sipping or a bar - a place I would probably grab a drink. But the restaurant portion itself just felt off. The door to the bathroom is right there in the space. And the way it was laid out just felt like that were trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. It just didn't work. The food was good but not outstanding.

My partner and I came for dinner and drinks the other night while we were in Grand Junction and had a good experience! The cocktails we got were tasty and the food was out of this world good! This is probably the best food we had in GJ! We ordered a calamari appetizer and split the chicken piccata. The chicken piccata sauce was buttery and silky. It paired really well with the crispy chicken cutlet. The calamari was so good too with a caper dipping sauce. The cocktails were solid. Overall they were well balanced, and not too sweet. I didn't try anything unique but then again they were out of the one I really wanted. Be aware that this spot is extremely dim (speakeasy feel). There is a little lounge in the front and then tables in the back for dining. I'd definitely recommend making reservations if you're coming to eat. Overall, good experience, excellent food!

Was in Grand Junction over the weekend and stumbled upon this place. Awesome atmosphere and food. The Burger was legit and the cocktails even better!

"House cut fries" are really coated fries.

The drinks are amazing. The wagyu burger was delicious. The server was awesome, the manager...meh. The fries, well they suck so bad. The menu says "house cut fries". I must be nuts because what showed up were not house cut fries. Google a picture of house cut fries. You tale a nice big potato, wash it, remove any eyes, slice it (I don't want mine peeled), cut it, fry it, season it, serve it. That to me is a house cut fry. I got some coated wimpy BS fry covered in mascara. I asked the manager who had been yapping to the bartender for 10 minutes in front of me how these are "house cut fries" and she says "oh yes, we cut them amd fry them and then coat them in corn starch and refry them. That is not a house cut fry. You've got a great place here. Please change your fries or fix your menu.

"VIP areas" are clearly marked by loose pieces of printer paper with "VIP" in Times New Roman. The lock on the bathroom stall door doesn't lock, and there is unfinished wood screwed to finished wood in the construction. Not even a mirror. Dirty. The staff seems friendly. Not a fan of the music mix. Top 40 from 5 years ago, plus country music here and there. A little dubstep. There is nothing extreme about this place. It looks like they stopped halfway through the remodel and just went for it. Probably isn't a terrible place to go if Infinity is too far. They had a free limo ride promotion, but I don't expect that will last. Every time I've been there it never seems to get very busy , and the demographics of the clientele are all over the place. Some rough biker gang types, and what looked like someone's parents were in there last time I was there. On the bright side, the taco truck next to the entrance has decent pork tacos for $2.00, so it's not a total loss. I've heard that Latino Night on Sundays seem to have the best draw for them. It's not close to anything, and they seem to have absolutely no web presence whatsoever. I had to create the location to write this review. Their Facebook page is Shock After, for example. They have a nice big stage, but to date they have this strange go-go cage up there that no one dances in. They've been open for about a month or two at the time of this review. I wouldn't recommend this place above other places doing the same thing. I think if it were trying to be just a bar, they'd probably be a decent one, but the nightclub focus kinda keeps it from being great at either one. If you want $10 at the door, you'll have to do a lot better than that.

Well, she rents a car and makes that 4 hour drive to the small hole in the wall venue to see them! I saw Pepper play here on a Thursday night. As expected for this band, there was a line up to get in at least an hour before doors opened! This venue was perfect for me to see an amazing band up close and personal! When you first enter the building this is where the bathrooms and bar and merch sales take place. Then you walk down to where the music takes place. There are no seats (at least I dont remember there being any). There were sort of three levels to it. The most lower level we'll call the "pit" because really that is where you go to be as close as possible to whoever it is that you are seeing. Then there were two more levels with a handfull of bar tables to put a drink or two on. Each level was separated by railing. It does seem like an older building, but I think that really just adds to the ambience of the venue. :) There are plenty of eateries in walking distance if you want to grab a bite before a show. Parking is street parking. I didn't see a garage in the area, then again I am not a local, so I can only state what I saw as I was driving around looking for a spot to park. I'd see a show here again if the opportunity arrises.

The chips and queso ended up being the best part of the meal. My husband ordered the fried chicken sandwich, and he described it as cold, soggy, and way too sweet.
