A fun meal with good cocktails Located on the mezzanine level (there are only stairs in the front and an elevator in the back), Moody's can get crowded. The cocktails are creative. The staff is helpful.

Cheeseburger medium / well with triple seared (almost burnt by design) bacon, outstanding cheese and bun.

It's rare to sample a cheeseburger that leaves a thoroughly positive impression. This one did. Why? Ingredients are often average or even sub par. Preparation can suffer, with key elements (tomato, patty, onion, etc.) sliding around each other, invariably slipping out. Excessive grease and an overall unhealthy result often ensues. Here, it seems that extreme attention was paid to everything. From the meat itself being grass fed black angus, to the tasty char / charbroil taste present in its preparation, to the cheese that seemed to perfectly complement the patty, to the unique approach that they used to triple sear the bacon for me-- it all worked perfectly tonight. This was not only a delicious cheeseburger, but the quality of ingredients, likely proving beneficial to your health. While I skipped the French fries as they use canola or vegetable oil (seed oil), making them a problem for me, the dinner salad was substituted. But with the side salad, the chef's attention to detail also emerged. It was replete with interesting and somewhat unusual, but healthful and rewarding ingredients as well. Service, pricing and atmosphere are all great. I'd say that for the $22 charged, you end up with a truly memorable cheeseburger. Worded another way, this tasted homemade. To buy these ingredients and prepare them with care, as they did here, doesn't happen by accident. While there are far more exotic and interesting "high-brow" items on the menu, if this is representative, the restaurant has some great offerings and genuine talent in the kitchen. I look forward to returning.

Surprised my girlfriend with a visit to Grand Junction and we decided to check out Moody's....so glad we did! The atmosphere is cozy and dark with a cool, intimate vibe. From the moment we walked in, the staff and our bartender were super welcoming and attentive. We kicked things off with cocktails. I had a Cosmopolitan and my girlfriend had a Hibiscus Margarita. Both were perfectly made, flavorful, and honestly some of the best we've had. We weren't planning on a full meal, just a few bites, but the food tempted us. The curry lamb eggrolls were outstanding.....packed with flavor and cooked just right. We'd 100% order them again. We also shared the calamari, which was delicious, and ended up ordering another round of drinks because everything was just that good. Highly recommend Moody's for a great drink, tasty bites, and a chill atmosphere!

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and service! It wasn't exactly a very hidden speakeasy (I recommend reservations) but I would call it a very classy cocktail lounge. Loved every drink we got. The food was very good although it was priced at high end, it didn't overly impress. Overall it was a great experience and I will be happy to go back again!

Medium rare steak. Grateful they know what medium rare is! Lol.

I had been in the road for 5 hours, & the whole time I knew I wanted steak for dinner. So happy I found Moody's! I went for the filet and swapped out the roasted fingerling potatoes for the truffle mash. There could've def been more truffle, but still delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the service was on point at the bar. The ambiance is dark and... moody. Lol Definitely recommend coming here for a lovely and lively vibe.

Honestly, I love a good speakeasy but aside from the great service and the bread, this place had no redeeming qualities. The lounge area ambiance far outweighs the dining area's so don't bother getting a reservation. Do NOT use their bathroom under any circumstance and do NOT get the steak... The bathroom was dirty, old, and smelled like raw sewage. The $50 ribeye steak was completely inedible. Also, their drinks were subpar and very expensive. I wouldn't go back if you paid me to.

Great atmosphere, from the paneling to the giant black-and-white prohibition-era photos to the lighting! And the staff fit right in, both in style and service. We had lunch here, and the menu was suitably fun. They offer a little bit of everything, from chicken to steak to salmon to burgers--each with a little twist to take it beyond average. I enjoyed the truffle fries. They weren't over-truffled, which was lovely.

Moody's Lounge was an eclectic sort of feel. You walk upstairs from a clothing store to get to the entrance of the restaurant. There's a lounge area to sit while sipping or a bar - a place I would probably grab a drink. But the restaurant portion itself just felt off. The door to the bathroom is right there in the space. And the way it was laid out just felt like that were trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. It just didn't work. The food was good but not outstanding.

My partner and I came for dinner and drinks the other night while we were in Grand Junction and had a good experience! The cocktails we got were tasty and the food was out of this world good! This is probably the best food we had in GJ! We ordered a calamari appetizer and split the chicken piccata. The chicken piccata sauce was buttery and silky. It paired really well with the crispy chicken cutlet. The calamari was so good too with a caper dipping sauce. The cocktails were solid. Overall they were well balanced, and not too sweet. I didn't try anything unique but then again they were out of the one I really wanted. Be aware that this spot is extremely dim (speakeasy feel). There is a little lounge in the front and then tables in the back for dining. I'd definitely recommend making reservations if you're coming to eat. Overall, good experience, excellent food!

This is very much an American version of an Irish pub - basically an American bar with all sorts of green everywhere. The hostess was welcoming until she went to seat us at the table right next to the door when there was tons of open seating. So I asked for a different table and she seemed put off by the request. Our server was Brittney and she took our order. I ordered the Highlander Sliders and hubby ordered the Irish Stew and the Malted Vinegar Chips. I checked to be sure the sliders would be well done. When our food arrived, it all looked fairly good. The sliders were burnt, though. Well done doesn't equate to charring the outsides. They were dried out because of that but the sauce they use helped. They sliders came with fries. They were good. Hubby liked his stew but the chips didn't have any vinegar on them and were overly salted. They were served with French onion dip so that was good. Overall this was somewhat of a let down. I was really looking forward to a good dining experience but they missed the mark.
