California natives trying the mmmpanadas UT campus food truck location! We tried both the chicken chile verde and the soy chorizo/Brie. The warm, flaky crust was perfect on both and the empanadas were filling! The chicken empanada was our favorite, especially because it was a little spicy but not overpoweringly so. Mmmmmm. Not big fans of the soyrizo they used, but we masked the flavor with their delicious chipotle mayo sauce. As chorizo/soy chorizo lovers, the three of us agreed it could be better with a different type of soy chorizo. We'd be willing to come back to try new flavors and their salsa! First timers: you can choose chipotle mayo or salsa for each empanada. So get multiple empanadas and try both! ;) Great price.

My gosh, these are so filling!! It's like eating an overstuffed pot pie without the sauce. I had the Argentinian and the Green Chile Chicken. Both were excellent! The Argentinian is filled with delicious ground beef, olives, and some diced boiled eggs. If you don't like olives, avoid this like the plague. The olives are quite strong (thankfully I like them). The egg is nice to counter the heavy flavor of the beef and olives. The crust on all their empanadas are crispy and what you would expect from an excellent empanada. The green chile chicken was quite delicious. The shredded chicken inside was decently cooked but maybe a tad bit on the dry side. The chiles weren't spicy and just added some nice flavor to the empanada. All in all, a good place to grab a cheap quick bite to eat.

Hurry! Sometimes they sell out of certain items.

The only empanadas I've ever consumed are here at mmmpanadas. That's right. I've never had another empanada anywhere else but mmmpanadas. I've tried nearly all of mmmpanadas empanadas at this point and I've never been disappointed with any of mmmpanadas empanadas. Are mmmpanadas empanadas the best empanadas ever? I have no idea. Regardless, I will give mmmpanadas five stars for their empanadas. There may be better empanadas somewhere else other than mmmpanadas, but I don't know where else they sell empanadas. You may aim to seek out a better empanada then let me know where to go, but until that day comes, I shall only eat mmmpanadas empanadas!

One small slice of deli ham, folded in half, is all you get!

We were very disappointed by the dryness of the empanadas and how little filling was inside. One small slice of ham for a $5 empanada, really?!

Everyone raves about the green chili chicken so I started with that, adding a spinach and feta option to the main course. The spicy sauce complimented the flavours and put a pep in the pastry that sticks in my mind and mouth. The Argentinian was complex and had a great textural mix. I still have my desert empanada in the fridge, so filling were the three I scoffed. Truth be told, you could serve fried bricks wrapped in tires at the Browning Hangar, and by virtue of its location, I'd go there and eat it and love it. This morning I walked with my daughter and son to mmmpanadas on the way to the park. I was delighted to find that the food was not remotely connected to fried bricks, and actually both tasty and filling.

The service was really quick, and the food was very hot (temperature wise) right off the bat. When I asked the guy how hot the samosa empanada was, he said it wasn't spicy at and that there was barely any spice in it. However when I took a bite into it it was pretty hot, objectively! The empanada in and of itself was good quality, the taste wasn't bad. But each empanada is $5 and for the price i think there should have been a bit more flavorful. The empanada was packed full of potato, but it wasn't as flavorful as expected. Still was pretty good though. Would I come back? yeah, if I was on a time crunch in between classes and needed something fast.

Dissapointing! Got them delivered for a seminar and I got to try the soy chorizo with brie and the Chile chicken. Other than the crust, which was great, everything else fell flat. The spy chorizo and brie are a weird combination imo. The brie chunks weren't melted and some still had the rind which lefr a weird flavor. The chorizo was heavily spiced but they weren't balanced and it came off flavorless. The chicken chile verde was the worst, I literally scraped off the filling and ate the crust. The chicken was bland, thought and bleh.

I ordered three pieces that all tasted like empanadas and proved to be empanadas. Empanadas really aren't my favorite dish I guess.

They're $8 each which is a little pricey but not unreasonable in this economy. $6 would have been right. Maybe $7 bc Farmers Market. $8 is high for the size. I got the BBQ Brisket, Conquistador (diced beef), Peruvian (Aji de Gallina) and al pastor (pork w pineapple). The name Yapa has a meaning (you can rea the sign yourself) and when I asked about it they said the chimichurri that already came with it was that. Lame. Don't name yourself after a gift and don't give one. Or don't say the sauce is included. Brisket was good. Sweet. Gouda would have been nice in it. 7.5/10 Conquistador (diced beef) was also good. This is the traditional stuffing for a papa rellena. Very tasty but could have used a salsa criolla instead of the chimichurri. 8/10 The Al pastor was fine, but didn't taste at all like Al pastor. Zero pineapple flavor. 4/10 Haven't tried the Aji de Gallina yet. Will update when I do. The chimichurri was tasty but HOT. I like spicy - this was hot so proceed with caution. The dough was a little thick for my liking, especially around the sides Overall it was okay. I spent $50 on 6. Would probably go back and get the BBQ one for walking around the market. The Conquistador is better as potato stuffing and the Al Pastor was just a miss. Offering alfajores as a yapa would be a nice touch
