You get consistent and authentic Honduran food because the same staff is there every time I go. The baleadas are as close to what you get if you travel to Honduras! The horchata isn't from some powder mix, it's awesome! Support this business! This is the same food truck that was at 6917 N. Lamar under the Quirky Tattoo sign! They moved and this new location is easy to miss, it is on the west side of Lamar between Clay Imports and Faris Tires and across the street from On The Green Apartments.

Food takes way too long to get ready and it's not that good. Too greasy for my taste. Not coming back.

I do remember the warm sweet plantains. I have become addicted to them. Also had the shredded chicken empanadas and oh, so, good. The other ladies ordered a wrap and an arepita which I didn't try because they ate theirs so fast.

I've ordered from here many times befor but today I stopped in and ate "in house."…read more When u walked in I wasn't greeted , after a couple minutes I decided I would go to the restroom and come back as there seemed to be one waitress who was busy, and no host. I came back and waited about a minutes before I was acknowledged, I was sat and the waitress was attentive. I wanted to try the arepita appetizer which is normally served with shredded beef/pork or chicken on the side- to get a side of plantains instead of meat, it was going to add 3$ to the 14$ appetizer so I just opted to omit the meat all together and still had to pay the $14 ...which I don't feel is appropriate- people always wanna add money to sub a veggie for meat but never reduce the price when just removing the meat all together. Anyways, Ordered my food which was out promptly, the veggie bowl was delicious as always and the arepita appetizer (no meat) was good- reminded me of a fried potatoe cake, I used the arepitas as a vessel for my veggie bowl ! I brought the remainder of my bowl home where I bit into something very hard , once pulling it out of my mouth I discovered some beef snuck it's way into my dish- disappointing forsure but it is the first time out of about 10 times this has happened here. Prices have gone up over the last few years my veggie bowl was 18$.

The outdoor tables are covered with blue umbrellas to protect you from the pesky sun. So I walk into Lima with a food blank slate. I was not super hungry, but I wanted something to quench my hunger. I ordered the Aguadito soup (chicken soup with rice and cilantro) and plantains along with a Alfajores cookie (made with dulce de leche). The soup came with chicken on the bone along with fluffy rice, peas and carrots. OMG...this soup was amazing!!! It tasted like something your grandmother would prepare. I am a picky when it comes to plantain (no green, hard plantain for me). The menu stated, "golden, caramelized sweet plantain, fried to perfection). Lima had me caramelized. My ideal plantain is sweet with a crispy edges. Lima's plantains are my new favorite! Don't tell anyone, but I ate them with my hands...like a little kid. The cookie was also baked to perfection...really enjoyed my cookie. When I walked in, I was immediately escorted to a table by a friendly hostess and server. She was quiet-spoken and super nice. This was an excellent dining experience...will definitely be back...sooner than later!

My husband ordered their tacu tacu limeno which was 19.95, came with garlic rice, few pieces of tomatoes, and beef in a watery stew. My pork was cooked well, and it was really juicy, and the sauce was flavorful and paired really well with the rice. My husband's beef was tender and cooked well too. His tasted similar to a filipino dish. Servers were nice and attentive. Prices are a bit steep for the amount of food they give you, but it could just be the area they're in. Next time we come, I would like to try their ceviche! Overall, it was a good restaurant. Parking can be a bit tough since parking spaces are tight and there's also a boiling crab in the same plaza; people can definitely park better too.

Normally, Glorias gives all its guests complimentary chips and salso along with black bean dip. The Domain location is spacious and with modern chic. We sat at the bar as that was the only seating available. Service was great as there are multiple bartenders attending to your every need. We did not have drinks...only water with ice and lemon.

We celebrated my dear friend Christina's birthday here, and everything was on point from start to finish. Let's talk food first, because whew. The Verdes--three chicken enchiladas smothered in green tomatillo sauce, topped with queso fresco and fresh cilantro--were flavorful, comforting, and perfectly balanced. Served with Spanish rice and pinto beans, and every bite showed care and consistency. The Red Snapper Tacos were fresh, light, and delicious. Three generous tacos with pickled slaw and chipotle ranch, paired with refried pinto beans and Spanish rice. You could taste the freshness, and nothing was overpowered or heavy--just done right. The Churrasco Típico? A full plate of joy. A 10-oz top sirloin cooked beautifully, Spanish rice, black bean soup, fried plantain, yuca, and chimichurri sauce that tied it all together. Hearty, flavorful, and satisfying without being overwhelming. And the birthday girl was treated to a complimentary slice of flan--creamy, Spanish-style custard with vanilla and egg. I've had flan before, but this one? Top-tier. Smooth, rich, not too sweet... absolutely perfect. Beyond the food, the service was excellent--our server and the bartenders were attentive, friendly, and clearly knew what they were doing. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and yes--the bathrooms passed the test (and that matters). Even better, Christina brought her daughter Gracie, and the baby enjoyed herself too--always a win. Great food, great service, clean space, joyful atmosphere. This was a night well spent, and we'll absolutely be back.

As a Texas native & Austinite, my boyfriend has been going to Fonda for years (they've been around…read moresince 1975 after all). I've only been once and it's definitely not gonna be the last time. In fact, we've got an upcoming reservation that's been on the books for quite sometime. They've managed to remain delicious, relevant and in demand 50 years! That's saying something. I'll tell you what that says...it says they rule! Reservations can be tricky to get but oh so worth it. The bar & atrium are fantastic and they boast a generous happy hour. The restaurant area and entire space are decorated wonderfully. Amazing artwork adorns the walls, they've got extensive art all about, vaulted ceilings and more. It's kind of like being in a hacienda. It feels like you're in Mexico. Truly. The restaurant and food are upscale without being pretentious. How refreshing! Speaking of refreshing...they've got cocktails and mocktails that will knock your socks off. I'm a big fan of the Nojito. My boyfriend loves the Mexican martini (it's primo). Let's talk about food. Wow-wee is it everything and then some. This is the kind of Tex-Mex flavor that sends your tastebuds into a tailspin of goodness! On our visit we did a salsa flight (we did 3 salsas), the queso (melted muenster and Oaxacan), Wagyu beef tacos, and chicken verde enchiladas. We did a spread like that in order to share everything. Food so good I'd give ten stars if I could. I can't put my finger on it but there's just something so special about the food, the taste of it, and the quality. It's just incredible flavor explosion bite after bite. If I had to guess, I'd say the food has been made with love, skill, and attention to detail all these years. Hence, their amazing reputation. Service is beyond compare. Hands down some of the best I've experienced in all of my worldly travels. Fonda San Miguel (Tzintzuntzan) is a dream come true!
