I perused the menu and found pleasure in the platano based dishes. I asked the señor in the window in perfect, broken Spanish what the best plato was on the menu. The response? Todos. Typico. After I wagged my finger he recommended the carne asada which I promptly procured. Price was a bit more than I anticipated: $8 but the portion was huge! Strips of steak, pickled onion, cabbage, plaintains, beans, and a block of cheese. The carne was quite good (except a bit salty) as were the plaintains and onions. I found the beans and cheese just too salty for these buds. Kudos for the large portions, friendly delivery, and Hondurenness of it all. I will definitely volver.

Just scrumptious. We also had the platano plate, featuring perfectly friend plantains, black beans, and crema. Also delicious. Yes, the price was a bit high considering you aren't getting table service. BUt the food is prepared when you order (as opposed to be lumped onto a plate from a holding tray), and, the servings are generous. Plus, if you think Tex-Mex is the food served throughout all of Meso-America, you will be pleasantly surprised by the differences on this menu. They offer picnic benches under a canopy, complete with fans and lights. Very comfortable.

The staff were two women who spoke excellent English and Spanish. They treated me and my friend like family, offering extra salsa and literally anything else to make us feel more comfortable. The chicken fajita salad they custom made for me was so dang good. The rice was perfectly cooked and the ratio of everything was on point. They were really careful with my lactose intolerance! I did try a bite of the steak quesadilla my friend got and it was spectacular. There were a bunch of school kids that passed through and that was so cute. This small yet unassuming food truck packs a food flavor punch. Mexcita has fresh ingredients, handmade menu items, and authentic Mexican flavors. Today, I purchased two tacos - bacon, egg and potato and al pastor (pork taco...grilled not fried). Both tacos were quite tasty and hot of the grill. In addition, the salsas add just the right amount of heat to the taco profiles. The tacos tasted homemade, made with care and were reasonably priced.
