I will never go back to this location. I went in on the verge of an IBS attack. I went back to the bathroom and it required a code. I asked if I could get the code and the extremely rude person said, no you have to order first. I explained it's an emergency and I'll order after and she refused. So I'm rushing to order, doing my best to not have an accident, and she's taking her sweet time. Once I've paid, she shouts out the code and throws away the receipt. I finally get to the bathroom (emergency averted). Then, they just sit my food on the counter and don't tell me it's ready. I look over wondering where my food is from my table and it's just sitting on the counter while the staff sat to the side playing on their phones. Do better!

Absolutely horrendous excuse for a taco spot, our 6 tacos were all cold and tasted like dog food. The staff was also so confused on how to take an order I'm surprised they got it right. Definitely go across the street to the other Mexican food spot

This establishment is clean and the workers are super nice. The reason jm giving them 2 stars only because we tried 6 tacos and one was dryer and colder than the one before. We ordered the following: Street asada taco - dry meat & cold Street polo taco - dry meat & cold Barbacoa - Dry meat & cold taco Norte taco - flavorless meat & cold Bandera - dry chicken & cold We have tried so many tacos spot and some have not been that great but this is by far the worse we have ever had.

I've been to a few times to OneTaco @ Anderson Mill and enjoy the pastor tacos. I also like the quesadillas. They don't have eggs in the evening, apparently, which was a bit frustrating for some picky kids, but now I know. Still great tacos.

Dishes I ordered were nut allergy friendly. Review is for order via Postmates when they had a buy one get one free on some specific tacos. Out of our order, I ate two Tacos Al Pastor, one Taco Pollo Asado, and one Agua Fresca Horchata. Service wise, they forgot our chips and queso from the delivery. The Tacos Al Pastor were dry, but the pineapple added good flavor and texture. I enjoyed these with the green sauce and lime. The Pollo Asado tasted like day old chicken - dry and flavorless. I wouldn't order it again. I had to put extra sauce on it to get any sort of flavor. The Horchata was quite sweet and a good way to clean my palette. Overall a mediocre taco experience that wasn't anything unique. I've gotten better and cheaper tacos from unnamed trucks.

    Pretty interior.

TLDR: It's meh, pales in comparison to other outlets of this chain. I'm a OneTaco fan, and I love their other locations. This one, not so much. Which is surprising given that it's very clean, plenty of parking, lots of natural light coming in the windows, and a Mexican wrestling theme to boot! Tried two staples of this chain, the Taco Bandera and the Carne Asada. Both took a long time to come out (and we were literally the only people there) and both were underwhelming. The Bandera was bland, and the Carne Asada was lukewarm! How long did they let this sit out? Overall, it was kinda meh...not what I'm used to getting here. I might try it again sometime to see if this was a fluke, but again we were the only people there and the ladies behind the counter seemed more interested in whatever drama they were talking about than making food. This place scores a 2 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere... it is refreshing to go someplace that takes you away from the usual American vibe... Simple decor, outdoor space for kids, delicious margaritas and yummy food.

Forewarning, I am a bit of a taco snob. With that said my favorite part of the actual taco was the corn tortilla. One bite in & you almost instantly taste an unmistakable home made corn tortilla. The carne asada meat was okay but not memorable. The hottest salsa which was the lighter green taquero salsa was labeled "hot" but I'd say more on the mild side and was tasty. The restaurant itself was clean, lively with good Spanish music in the background, tables were spread out nicely, and lots of natural light coming in through all the windows. They had a good selection of Mexican beers and evidently margaritas as well. I think this is a proper taco restaurant to dine at and judge for yourself.

I like the mask on the door.

My first time trying One Taco won't be my last. My boyfriend and I ordered the I Bacon breakfast taco which had scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheese and more bacon. It comes on a flour tortilla or you can request a corn tortilla. We added beans to our tacos. It was a FAT taco full of yumminess! I hate skimpy breakfast tacos but don't order breakfast burritos because they are too much. After ONE bite, I was hooked. It tasted like the breakfast taco my Momma makes and she is an authentic Mexican pro! We asked for red and green salsa and both were good. We ordered at the drive through so no comment on the interior but the cashier at the window was helpful and gave us extra napkins and salsa without us having to ask. The times I do have to eat in my car, extra napkins are appreciated. Will definitely return to One Taco and order more than one taco! 4/11/2021

    Barbacoa and Buenos Dias tacos
    Rolando N.

The tacos are simple and outstanding. On the weekends you can get Barbacoa tacos which are perfect. The Buenos dia taco with chorizo, egg, cheese, and black bean is fantastic. Add a little avocado for a truly outstanding taco. The jefe taco is also perfect. The menu is only a few tacos but the quality and attention to detail is spot on. Prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly and cool.

Cold food! Rude service. microwaved the queso & it was still cold , food sat for too long..no matter gross food & service

Local taco cabana vibes. The nachos are the only thing worth getting. It's also a bit overpriced, for the portion size.

She noticed I was ordering dairy items on side and asked about if pesto in guacamole was ok. So astute and kind of her. Also on my friends second drink remembered she didn't want salt or her rim without even asking - Everything tasted so fresh and high quality - Brisket tacos: packed with flavor--maybe it was the wagyu meat or the black magic oil. Freshly made corn tortillas were awesome. Usually corn ones and pretty throwaway meh, but these added to the greatness of the tacos. 5 stars - Duck flautas: crispy covered in mild mole. Loved the mashed potato addition inside for some mellowness and texture. 5 stars - Guacamole: so fresh and that dollop of pesto on top was lovely. Served with crispy masa dippers were impressive almost a 8x11 page size. It was fun to crack off into pieces, but hard to stop eating it. 5 stars - Sweet potato: friend loved these long charred wedges. 4.5 stars - Cocktails were stellar. I got the Don Dario which was a play on a marg and delightful - $12 of a few drinks during lucky hour (Mon-Fri 5-6pm, Sat-Sun 3-5pm) - High energy vibes in a clean, open, tan colored space - Had their bottle water on the table in a champagne bottle which speaks to my heart Midlights: - In East Austin so have to Uber if you are staying more central - Tacos come in orders of 4. Wish it was less so we could've tried more variety. Lowlights - No food discounts for lucky hour - Didn't have time to try the choco taco which looked amaze - Large gap of time between items first few items coming out and the rest

I thought it was different from other quesabirria tacos I've had in the past, but this was different and perfect. I ordered the brunch cachetada and wasn't thrilled. The suiza chicken and runny eggs diluted the flavor and made the cheese crust on the tortilla soggy. I had to add a lot of hot sauce. It needed more texture and flavor. Overall a boring dish. I would definitely return and order something else, however.

So we were thinking of tacos or Mexican food and my daughter suggested this spot as she had come here with some friends and really enjoyed their sopecitos. I had never had a sopecito! What is that! So we had to try... We were lucky to arrive at the right time (9 pm!) where we got their last table!! Make reservations or something because this is another one of those places that fills up! I've only been once and it's definitely not gonna be the last time. In fact, we've got an upcoming reservation that's been on the books for quite sometime. They've managed to remain delicious, relevant and in demand 50 years! That's saying something. I'll tell you what that says...it says they rule! Reservations can be tricky to get but oh so worth it. The bar & atrium are fantastic and they boast a generous happy hour. The restaurant area and entire space are decorated wonderfully. Amazing artwork adorns the walls, they've got extensive art all about, vaulted ceilings and more. It's kind of like being in a hacienda. It feels like you're in Mexico. Truly. The restaurant and food are upscale without being pretentious. How refreshing! Speaking of refreshing...they've got cocktails and mocktails that will knock your socks off. I'm a big fan of the Nojito. My boyfriend loves the Mexican martini (it's primo). Let's talk about food. Wow-wee is it everything and then some. This is the kind of Tex-Mex flavor that sends your tastebuds into a tailspin of goodness! On our visit we did a salsa flight (we did 3 salsas), the queso (melted muenster and Oaxacan), Wagyu beef tacos, and chicken verde enchiladas. We did a spread like that in order to share everything. Food so good I'd give ten stars if I could. I can't put my finger on it but there's just something so special about the food, the taste of it, and the quality. It's just incredible flavor explosion bite after bite. If I had to guess, I'd say the food has been made with love, skill, and attention to detail all these years. Hence, their amazing reputation. Service is beyond compare. Hands down some of the best I've experienced in all of my worldly travels. Fonda San Miguel (Tzintzuntzan) is a dream come true!
