Absolutely horrendous excuse for a taco spot, our 6 tacos were all cold and tasted like dog food. The staff was also so confused on how to take an order I'm surprised they got it right. Definitely go across the street to the other Mexican food spot

Street Pollo & Norte

This establishment is clean and the workers are super nice. The reason jm giving them 2 stars only because we tried 6 tacos and one was dryer and colder than the one before. We ordered the following: Street asada taco - dry meat & cold Street polo taco - dry meat & cold Barbacoa - Dry meat & cold taco Norte taco - flavorless meat & cold Bandera - dry chicken & cold We have tried so many tacos spot and some have not been that great but this is by far the worse we have ever had.

I've been to a few times to OneTaco @ Anderson Mill and enjoy the pastor tacos. I also like the quesadillas. They don't have eggs in the evening, apparently, which was a bit frustrating for some picky kids, but now I know. Still great tacos.

Taco Al Pastor

Dishes I ordered were nut allergy friendly. Review is for order via Postmates when they had a buy one get one free on some specific tacos. Out of our order, I ate two Tacos Al Pastor, one Taco Pollo Asado, and one Agua Fresca Horchata. Service wise, they forgot our chips and queso from the delivery. The Tacos Al Pastor were dry, but the pineapple added good flavor and texture. I enjoyed these with the green sauce and lime. The Pollo Asado tasted like day old chicken - dry and flavorless. I wouldn't order it again. I had to put extra sauce on it to get any sort of flavor. The Horchata was quite sweet and a good way to clean my palette. Overall a mediocre taco experience that wasn't anything unique. I've gotten better and cheaper tacos from unnamed trucks.

Pretty interior.

TLDR: It's meh, pales in comparison to other outlets of this chain. I'm a OneTaco fan, and I love their other locations. This one, not so much. Which is surprising given that it's very clean, plenty of parking, lots of natural light coming in the windows, and a Mexican wrestling theme to boot! Tried two staples of this chain, the Taco Bandera and the Carne Asada. Both took a long time to come out (and we were literally the only people there) and both were underwhelming. The Bandera was bland, and the Carne Asada was lukewarm! How long did they let this sit out? Overall, it was kinda meh...not what I'm used to getting here. I might try it again sometime to see if this was a fluke, but again we were the only people there and the ladies behind the counter seemed more interested in whatever drama they were talking about than making food. This place scores a 2 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere... it is refreshing to go someplace that takes you away from the usual American vibe... Simple decor, outdoor space for kids, delicious margaritas and yummy food.

Forewarning, I am a bit of a taco snob. With that said my favorite part of the actual taco was the corn tortilla. One bite in & you almost instantly taste an unmistakable home made corn tortilla. The carne asada meat was okay but not memorable. The hottest salsa which was the lighter green taquero salsa was labeled "hot" but I'd say more on the mild side and was tasty. The restaurant itself was clean, lively with good Spanish music in the background, tables were spread out nicely, and lots of natural light coming in through all the windows. They had a good selection of Mexican beers and evidently margaritas as well. I think this is a proper taco restaurant to dine at and judge for yourself.

I like the mask on the door.

My first time trying One Taco won't be my last. My boyfriend and I ordered the I Bacon breakfast taco which had scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheese and more bacon. It comes on a flour tortilla or you can request a corn tortilla. We added beans to our tacos. It was a FAT taco full of yumminess! I hate skimpy breakfast tacos but don't order breakfast burritos because they are too much. After ONE bite, I was hooked. It tasted like the breakfast taco my Momma makes and she is an authentic Mexican pro! We asked for red and green salsa and both were good. We ordered at the drive through so no comment on the interior but the cashier at the window was helpful and gave us extra napkins and salsa without us having to ask. The times I do have to eat in my car, extra napkins are appreciated. Will definitely return to One Taco and order more than one taco! 4/11/2021

Barbacoa and Buenos Dias tacos
Rolando N.

The tacos are simple and outstanding. On the weekends you can get Barbacoa tacos which are perfect. The Buenos dia taco with chorizo, egg, cheese, and black bean is fantastic. Add a little avocado for a truly outstanding taco. The jefe taco is also perfect. The menu is only a few tacos but the quality and attention to detail is spot on. Prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly and cool.

Cold food! Rude service. microwaved the queso & it was still cold , food sat for too long..no matter gross food & service

Local taco cabana vibes. The nachos are the only thing worth getting. It's also a bit overpriced, for the portion size.

I've driven by El Alma many times being in the Austin area, but I never went until last Thursday, and after surviving a brief monsoon, I was glad to get a few drinks and eat some good TexMex with my large party just before a wedding. The best way to describe El Alma is that it is TexMex that is Austinified. Everything feels a little more unique and special than your classic TexMex options. I started off with a Mezcal Margarita that put a little hair on my chest and got me going. My group ordered two of their Nachitos, which were these nice nachos. For my main entrée, I got 3 Al Pastor tacos on corn with a side of their rice and beans. Their pastor was served with pineapples, onions, and cilantro with limes on the side. They were great and I immediately crushed them all. I thought their rice and beans were pretty good as well and a step above the typical TexMex rice and beans. The server was pretty attentive throughout our whole visit, and I honestly have no complaints about what they had to offer. Pricing on the meal and drinks was pretty standard for Austin, and I didn't think anything really took me out of the experience. On top of that, for being in Barton Springs, there is quite a bit of parking. I would love to come back at some point in the future and hang out on their rooftop bar because that seems like a lot of fun. Shoutout to El Alma for being a TexMex oasis saving me from the MoPac traffic. RIYL: TexMex, but better than your average

I have not found a taco place that was phenomenal until I tried this place! The vibes take you back to Mexico with authentic tacos served simple, straight forward, and let the taco speak for itself! We were downtown for a concert at the Moody Theater and were hungry so we decided to walk a short 9 mins to Taqueria De Diez! The best decision made! Full disclosure... the establishment is located down a very DARK creepy alley (the kind in the movies where you shouldn't go down to get) but after overcoming that fear... this will be the best decision you make! Your tummy will thank you! Follow the outside "TACO here" sign. Go through the door and walk straight... this will get you through the line. Lucky for us on a Saturday night at 10:30pm there wasn't a super long line. We managed to grab two seats to chow down our tacos. You will be able to see the chefs cook the carne asada on the grill and the Al pastor on the spit roast being cut to be put in tacos. The smell was amazing and you know you're at a legit place! Ordering: -Check out their menu while waiting in line so you know what to order when it's your turn. -place order at register. They accept visa, Mastercard, Venmo, cash, but does NOT accept AMEX. - grab your drinks if you purchased some. Mexica soda, horchata, jimicama drinks, water , etc - give your ticket to the expeditor and tell them to go or dine there. The expeditor will ask you cilantro, onions, and salsa on a taco? Say yes. It's a must. The expeditor will tell the chefs to assemble your tacos. (I'm seriously so impress with how efficient and quick their service goes. We waited maybe 5-10 mins and got 5 tacos and chips/salsa. There was about 8 ppl in front of us but the lines go quick. If you ordered chips and salsa then you will get the chips from the cashier and the salsa from the expeditor. * 1 Al pastor taco on flour 4/5: love the fresh pineapples on it! The Al pastor had crispy pieces and was super tasty! It was really tasty. There were pieces of meat that was dry but the salsa helped and pineapple. Season was really good! I was in awed with how tasty it is! Definitely best Al pastor in ATXi had! * 1 Campechano on flour 5/5: wow best of both worlds! I had this taco second and loved the combo flavor! Juiciness of the carne asada and crispy frol the Al pastor. * carne asada on flour 5/5: juicy perfectly seasoned and love the green sauce on it! Sauce was creamy and paired well with the taco. It was so so freaking good! The flour tortilla is super thin and let the meats stand out. Loaded Smokey taco and was differently the best carne asada I've ever had! After trying the carne asada I definitely think it's better than Al pastor! I'm glad I tried the Al pastor taco first before the carne because I think the carne asada would have outshine the Al pastor if I had it first. It was a great end to the last taco! * 1 VOLCAN- couldn't try because it was sold out * chips and salsa 4/5: chips crispy and not oily. Salsa was super spicy but good. All tacos come with onions cilantro and salsa with no additional cost. Overall do I recommend this place? I truly wish I tried this place 5 yrs ago when I moved to ATX! I truly highly recommend this place! Do not wait 5 yrs to go try this place or you will be full of regrets! It's a simple taco but made right with complex balance and flavors! I love love love it and now will be thinking about these tacos! Highly recommended! Prices are reasonable and the tacos are made with love!

We all ordered drinks and asked for water at this point. The water was brought, but we waited and waited for our drinks.
