braved the line at like 230pm on a Saturday which wasn't that bad tbh? bonus star for the prices but like if I'm literally just reviewing the drinks & desserts it's just sugar like do you like sugar? here have some sugar (got everything at 50 sweetness & it was still soooooo sweet) ig it's some chain in china all the merch on the wall was fascinating tho
Mixue your service is horrible. I don't usually give 1 star reviews but when you have over 6 employees standing behind the counter and not a single one is helpful why even offer a service? Mind you customers have to place their own orders at a kiosk. All kiosks were busy. And to top it off the one girl standing at the register was sipping a drink with a blank stare on her face and when we asked can we place an order at the register, we basically had to ask twice as if we were bothering her mid sip with her mediocre answer of, "I guess so". Forget it...we are already off to a bad start. And to think we were taking our son here as a celebratory treat! A few more cons: - older lady towards the back with the RBF the whole time giving customers dirty looks. She either doesn't want to be there or doesn't like her job. Put her in the back because she leaves a bad taste seeing someone like that when you walk in. - ordered a combo with a mini stuffed toy and was already in the parking lot and realized what I paid $10.49 for was missing half the order. When my partner walked back in and asked, two employees had no idea what the combo was. They had to look up on the screen. Interesting since youre establishment is advertising it you should know the menu. All you have are drinks, toys, and ice cream! - order took forever. Two drinks and I was able to go next door, standing in line, pay for snacks and walk back to our order still not ready. First and last time here. Not spending money on a place that doesn't seem to care. If they survive with this type of service it'd be a miracle. I would highly recommend spending your money elsewhere where you would be valued.
Well welcome to the SF Bay Area Mixue! Mixue is a Chinese restaurant chain that offers affordable ice cream and tea-based drinks. In 2025, Mixue opened their first location in the USA. There's at least three locations planned for the SF Bay Area. On a warm Tuesday afternoon, I drove down to Sunnyvale to try their matcha soft serve. Mixue is located in a shopping plaza. It was near 5pm, and I got a parking spot in the shade. As soon as you walk in, there's three ordering kiosks on the wall. My order was very simple. Matcha soft serve cone, Price $1.99, tap to pay. You give your name, and a phone number for a receipt. Service was fairly quick. There were people ahead of me, but different staff operated different stations behind the counter. The soft serve guy held up my green cone and called out my number. I took a seat at one of the tiny tables along the wall. The place has a colorful and playful decor. Yikes! This is a fairly large ice cream cone for $1.99! It had a mild matcha taste. There was no weird after taste. What was kind of odd was this ice cream didn't melt right away. So, I tried to devour it quickly before it began dripping. I'm guessing Mixue will be fairly popular with their affordable prices. I should return and try a sundae.
Finally trying the matcha! I've been here since so many times because everything from service to ambience is up to par affordable, and delicious treats!
I love Mixue for their fruit drinks! They use real fruit bits and are so refreshing. Their drinks run on the sweeter size so I always get 30% or no added sugar. I also love the taro boba. Drinks are always fast despite the lines on the weekends. My only critique of Mixue is that they sometimes overfill the drinks with ice (over 50%).
Incredible value I mean where else are you going to get a huge soft serve for $1.50? And also a fresh lemonade for a little over $2? Despite the long line, things moved pretty quickly - they are pretty efficient here. I enjoyed both the ice cream and the drink. Wasn't crazy special or anything, but it was really good for what I paid for it. will be back to try the other things
Checked out Mixue ever since I heard they opened in Cupertino, had to try their value soft serve cones. - Matcha Soft Serve - smooth, creamy, light matcha flavor, not overly rich; my number got called even before I finished ordering, pretty much soft serve on tap there; the cone was light and airy too Service is pretty much only interacted with when you pick up your order, and ordering is done through a tablet at the front. The place was quite busy even on a Saturday night before closing, with a bustling, stimulating ambience and the iconic Mixue snowman adorning the walls alongside figurines, keychains, and bags. There are a few tables, but it's so loud inside that it's pretty much a grab-and-go spot. These Chinese brands sure know how to cater to the American consumer, we ordered four items for the group and it came out to under $15. What a steal, we'll be back.
Oh my gosh this place is so amazing I came twice in a month! The prices are so great (think 2012 Quickly prices) and the quality is comparable to iTea, T4, and other similar chains which would be way more pricey! The drinks were amazing and the boba was chewy. Loved how we could pick ice options as well as sweetness options. The line goes by so fast even though it might look long and you're usually in n out in 10 minutes. Can't wait for them to open more locations; hopefully one in the East Bay!!
the hype is real! delicious ice cream and tea shop at unbelievable prices . portions are ginormous too. really cute interior and friendly staff. You order at the kiosk and they called out your number. It gets busy so come during non-peak hours . I like the flavors of the vanilla soft serve, and Matcha soft serve. I thought the soft serve sundae had too many flavors going on and better to keep it simple. Parking is easy, in a private lot
Parking is plentiful. The interior is nice and is an average size but pretty busy. However the line moves pretty quickly and service is fast too. I got some soft serve. Man was it delicious. Creamy and not overwhelmingly sweet. Price was very fair too. Tap to pay is accepted. I would come back here. Overall, Mixue is a delicious place for soft serve.
I've had this chain in China and it was pretty good! However, I felt that this location really fell short, especially when it came to the milk tea. Very bland and watery tasting. I got the jasmine milk tea at 30% sweet and it had barely any tea taste. My friend got a float and the ice cream tasted like white rabbit candy which was nice. My other friend's "banana shake" was not a shake at all but more like an artificial banana milk. Very misleading name and photo. The only drink I liked was the mango drink with taro balls. They are pretty quick with orders here. All ordering is through kiosk. The inside is clean and decorated plenty with their mascot. The best part about this spot are the prices, but I personally wouldn't come back here if I was craving boba milk tea. Ice cream? Maybe. Overall: 2.8/5
Nothing completes a brunch date like sipping on something sweet after. And the prices are soooooo affordable. The insane economic inflation keeps me at home because my wallet says: NO. But here... Here my wallet shouts: YES THANK YOU! Got a banana-something, but it was so good. I had a massive headache from the salty meal prior, and this totally fixed me right up. The flavor reminds me of say, a banana tapioca pudding? but liquified format. And the bobas here have the perfect textures: soft & chewy. This place gets pretty busy once 1pm hits (on a Friday). Lunch rush perhaps. Service is quick, place is clean, and quality is great (as great as artificial flavors can be anyway). Definitely get more than just one drink!
It's great that there's a mixue in the bay. I really like their drinks ever since I tried it in HK! It's cheap too! Everything is so cute inside, and ordering was fast. Drinks came out in less than 2 min. Peach oolong was rlly good, & so is the strawberry jasmine. Both fruity & refreshing. Bummer that they don't sell the blueberry tea like I had in HK! That was the best one followed by the grape tea.

Got the cocoa soft serve on national ice cream day. The place was clean and bright with merchandise for sale on display, decorating the room. There was a small line around 7:30pm on Sunday. It took 10 minutes to get to the front, where guests order on one of three self-order kiosks. Then one minute later, my name was called. Interaction with staff was minimal. The chocolate soft serve was simple, creamy and delicious. I wasn't a fan of the cone, it had a cheap taste to it. But that's how the soft serve comes... on a cone. I still ate it, but I'm not sure I'd return. I'd rather get a frosty from Wendy's since it comes in a cup. I still enjoyed my sweet treat from Mixue. Not bad for two bucks. read more
Popular new place offering nice treats like boba tea and ice cream at very good prices. Ice cream cone for $1.40. Fruit tea for about $4.00. Definitely going to be a come back too but lines could be pretty long. I came on the afternoon around 3 and had a short wait. Drove by the other night about 6 and there was probably about an hour long line. Non place to sit so get and go. Operation was pretty fast though. Decor inside like a toy store actually. read more
MIXUE! So excited to have this in the bay! Lining up to order at the kiosks took the longest time, but getting drinks and ice cream was very quick, even on soft opening and grand opening weekends. The employees have been so nice and helpful for answering questions. However, there's not many clean tables available for sitting and it's too loud to want to sit and chat anyways. My favorite item was the ice cream! The vanilla is so creamy and had a great sweetness that wasn't too sweet. The lemonade was also very good and refreshing. Definitely recommend. The milk tea was not good though. The milk tea wasn't creamy, was very light, and not something I would ever get again. read more
Wow are these prices for real? Yes they are! Dessert should be this price! Affordable desserts that taste good! Yaaaaas! The soft serve on a waffle cone for under $2 that is un heard of! Also other desserts that are $5 and under and bobba drinks and other soft serve with toppings on! Still new so there is a line to get the dessert... so try to go at odd times to avoid long lines. Came here at an odd time so the line wasn't too long! read more
Mixue! Super Affordable! And in my experience super quick to get the order to you! The only way your time at Mixue will take forever is the line to order at the kiosk! I came here multiple times already. Some times it was just very few people and sometimes it was super busy and hectic. Even then when they have the longest lines, i would say the total time from you waiting to order to receiving your order is about 20-25 minutes. But when its just a few people it only takes about 3-6 minutes to get your order! Their matcha soft serve to me is 10/10! I can taste the matcha I even compare it to matcha cafe maiko at valley fair, it tastes just the same to me. Their regular soft serve you can really taste the milk. Although the quality of the taste of all menu items are obviously lower quality, if you just want a quick fix on soft serve or the basic oolong milk tea with a superrrrrrr cheeeap price!! This is the place for you! read more
Mixue has come to the Bay!!! I've heard about them for so long and have always wanted to try. Now I finally can and have!!! I bought a jasmine tea float + oolong spring milktea and they were ~$7.50 total. Super cheap compared to other boba places! The drinks were definitely worth the price they were. Service was fast. The store itself has seating but it's not a lot of seating. There was a line out the door but the workers are pretty fast and efficient. I was in and out ~10min. Probably 5min waiting in line and 5min waiting for my drinks after I ordered. Overall, I would recommend Mixue if you're in the area. It's cheap boba and ice cream and worth the price (: read more

Just got on the Mixue bandwagon and I can say I truly understand what the hype is all about! Great quality desserts and drinks at unbeatable prices! I got the affogato and it was pretty good. Go on a weekday afternoon if you want to skip the long lines. Will be back! read more
Came on Sunday afternoon and the line was long. Ordering is through a screen which was convenient. I ordered a soft serve cone and a peach oolong tea. Everything came out quickly and I didn't have to wait long! I liked the soft serve. I couldn't taste any tea in my drink at all. I probably wouldn't come back for tea drinks. read more

ordered 3 drinks on doordash since i knew it was grand opening weekend. came out to around $20, which is pretty reasonable. there were two long lines when i got there, one for pickup and one for the free soft serve with a drink purchase. i skipped the soft serve line just bc i was on the move! it did look yummy though! i got the peach oolong tea with boba at 50% sweetness and it was still pretty sweet. i'm guessing because they use canned fruit that it came with the syrup as well, so i'd probably do 25% next time. you get what you pay for. if you're looking for a strong tea flavor, this probably isn't the spot. but if you want a quick drink that's budget friendly, i'd come back. read more

Pros: The boba in my spring oolong milk tea had good texture. The line on the weekend early afternoon I was there moved fast and the order was fulfilled very fast. It was cheap. Cons: My drink had no added sugar but still tasted somewhat sweet. I would thus recommend that you specify a sugar level 30%-50% lower than what you would normally get at other boba places. It had no option of not having "milk" (their creamer) so I didn't really have a choice. Tea flavor/aroma is lacking and/or artificial but it's not unexpected given the price. $2 matcha soft serve looked good but I didn't get it. Many things can be inferred from that price point. TL;DR: If you're in the neighborhood and want a cheap fix for boba or something sweet, it can be acceptable. But I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more
Can't beat it. $3.50 for boba and the quality of the boba is actually really good?? Can't be beat. Flavors are good and the boba is fresh. Throw back to 2008 Tapioca Express 100%...flavor and cost!! No $10 boba drinks here! New favorite spot for sure. read more
Wow, I can't believe how cheap the prices are for both fruit/milk drinks and sundae ice-cream which is a rarity with the high cost of living as it is. Heard so much about Mixue a Chinese multi- international brand that is making its wave in the South Bay. Bro and I came by on a Friday morning with so few customers best to avoid coming out here on the weekends. We were greeted with such enthusiasm and they have three self-service kiosk and you can customized tipping on how much you want to tip. I got the affogato latte an Italian dessert drink with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream creamy very refreshing 30% less sweetness comes in one medium size for a unbelievable price of $3.49 and Bro choice cherry green tea with boba toppings 30% sweetness large size for a price of $4.99 definitely a real bargain far cheaper than its competitors. Dine-in is very limited though they have an array of merchandise and products. Can't missed the snowman mascot that's a real eye-opener. Definitely be back so support your local business. read more
We went before noon and there was no line. We ate our soft serve there. When we left, a line was forming. Snow king is cute! I bought a couple of the insulated bags, one of each size and they cost $.40 and $.30. We ordered at the kiosk and tried the soft serve in the matcha and original flavor. The original flavor was good. The matcha flavor was a little strong. You can't beat the price! We would've ordered boba drinks too but the boba topping wasn't available yet. I think they are still working out some operations here. There were 8 employees in the kitchen and some seemed unsure about what to do. I hope they improve. If in the area, would stop by again if no line. Plenty of parking. Their song was on loop, basically "Oh Susana don't you cry for me" but their lyrics "I love you and you love me". read more

Their matcha soft serve is tasty, and has a soy milk flavor. For $2, it's a great value! The ambiance is also fun and cute with the snowman mascot. Can't compete with the matcha maiko, but it's slightly better than the 99 ranch matcha ice cream, and less sweet than Haagen-Dazs. The texture is good- not icy; creamy. The cone isn't real waffle, but dense with a nice crunch. read more

Was crowded inside and there were lines everywhere. We ordered at the kiosk but I think there was an option to order with someone at the front? We got 2 drinks (~$10). I got the peach oolong tea with coconut jelly. There were bits and pieces of peach, as if it was shredded, at the bottom of the cup, which I didn't care for. The person I came with didn't seem to like their drink either, as they threw out half of it. They got a milk tea with boba and there was a huge clump of boba that would stick to the end of the straw. It was hard to watch and made me question the quality. I wouldn't come back. I hardly ever drink boba and they don't have many flavors of the ice cream either. read more

very affordable drinks and ice creams for sure. we got matcha soft serve and vanilla soft serve and a lemonade. i didn't try the lemonade but the soft serves were OK, very mid. match is better than vanilla as the vanilla didn't taste vanilla at all. def white rabbit more artificial flavor. someone said it's better than McD, have to strongly disagree lol. glad at least tried it and see what the hype is all about! read more

Matcha ice cream was pretty good, I don't quite like the taste of the ice cream cone but overall, I liked it. As for the drinks, we got 100% (boba oolong milk tea) and 70% (jasmine milk tea) sweetness, the 100% was like pure sugar so I suggest getting 70% or less. All in all, it's good for the price, it's like 2014-2015 boba all over again. Note for management: it's way too hot inside the store. read more

We came in on a Monday afternoon and since it's still fairly new, it was a bit busy but not that bad. The wait time was decent and we didn't have to wait for long as there were tons of workers in the back. The table was a bit dirty, but we understand that they were probably busy so they didn't have time yet. Overall, we would love to come again as the price is really cheap especially in the Bay Area and the quality is good too! Super cookie sundae(4.5/5): You really can't mess it up with ice cream and cookie crumbs with chocolate serve. It was good for the price and we both enjoy it! Peach oolong tea (4/5): It's really refreshing and we got it as 30% sugar and we can taste the tea a bit better. The topping on the bottom gives it a nice extra sweet too. Personally for me, I wish the tea was stronger but my boyfriend find it perfect for him. Matcha Latte (4/5): It's smooth and creamy, but it's a little more generic compared to a matcha enthusiast place. read more

Finally got to try Mixue! I went right after they opened in the morning, so there was almost no line. Definitely the best time to go! The prices are very reasonable, and the tea flavor is surprisingly rich. It tastes fresh and natural without that overly artificial fragrance you sometimes get. It honestly doesn't seem like they use any flavor-enhancing additives. Overall, it was even better than I expected! read more

The Good: - Line moves fast, even if the line is mega long it took like 15min to reach the front of the line. - The ice cream is served instantly the moment u order it. - Its cheap The Bad: - You get what you pay for. The food and drinks are Quickly's tier aka I dont taste any tea in the tea or matcha in matcha ice cream. read more

place is not that big and very crowded. order from kiosk and later they will call your name once ready, cannot rely on the monitor ~ seems the systems not well connected yet. anyway, order few drinks and i will say all just ok and tend to be watery ( cannot taste the tea well, suggest to put more tea though ) and very sweet even though has put sweetness at thirty percent. cannot believe that you can adjust up to two hundred percent for the sweetness ~ ooopss!!! the price is quite cheap, about half that other stores so may be this is why. three stars from me... read more
