Great ambiance. Great music!! So glad I made it here. I had the papaya pico de gallo with chips as an appetizer. So delicious!!! Did not disappoint. Huevos Ranchero was BOMB!! Sunnyside egg on some corn tortillas with beans and sauces. So yummy!! There were so many choices on the menu, can't wait to return to try something else. All the food looked good. We were sitting next to a table with about 7 people on it and I was able to see a variety of dishes. All looked appealing to the eyes. Very interested. Came to Miti Miti with a large group, and despite our endless ordering and raucous behavior, the staff handled us pretty effortlessly! The atmosphere is so lively and fun, and the house music when we came was all over the place in the most entertaining way possible (was that mariachi music? Mariah Carey singing "All I Want For Christmas"? Coldplay's "Yellow"? what. is. happening. here?! #ilikeit) The drinks are delicious... and strong, so don't be scared away by the price for the pitcher. FACT: you cannot go wrong with their basic margarita on the rocks, but if you like 'em flavored you can do that too - you can even mix and match your flavors for an additional $1 (pineapple-jalapeno, anyone?). For apps, you'd be a fool not to get the roasted cauliflower with tahini and pomegranate molasses. I could have eaten a bowl of it by myself and was truly sorry we had to share it with the omnivores who were destroying their own mountain of BBQ chicken nachos. The fried cheese taco meal is where it's at: two huge tacos each FILLED with an enormous slab of fried cheese AND avocado AND cilantro salsa, as well as a bowl of rice, beans, and maduros on the side? If you're looking to get loose with a modern Mexican feast of epic proportions punctuated with pitchers of margaritas and more, Miti Miti is an excellent choice. Here's my advice: 1. Get a group of good people together, and make a reservation. Boozy brunch is a winner, but dinner is just as good. 2. Order a pitcher of booze for every two people if you're taking it easy (I like the mojito in addition to the margaritas...both are stronger than you might think, and quite tasty), chips and guac (both are nice and fresh) and all the nachos (one for each side of the table at a minimum). 3. Put more money into your 401(k). Compound interest is a beautiful thing.* 4. If it's brunch, roll with the chilaquiles, the huevos rancheros, the arepa benedict, or whatever you want. I'm not your mother. 5. If it's dinner, get some tacos since basically every day is Taco Tuesday (al pastor for sure, and crispy fish too), the hanger steak with chimichurri, and/or the fajitas if you really want to be in pain from eating way too much food. We were excited to try their chorizo breakfast burrito. We arrived and realized that we've been to this restaurant. It wasn't memorable the first time and can't decide what was wrong so we gave it another chance. This time, I have to give a review to remind myself that we've tried it twice and it's only OK. I had the all day breakfast taco with chorizo, the taco was a bit too sweet - maybe it was the guajillo sauce? The chorizo breakfast burrito was a bit disappointing too as we were hoping for a ground chorizo but instead it was diced up sausage chorizo. Miti Miti is a solid 4 star choice. Located on the iconic 5th Ave in Park slope, there are an abundance of food choices- but you won't regret making a reservation here. The chips and taro app with queso, guacamole, and pico is perfection (and enough to feed 4 people). The coconut shrimp tacos are delicious. The only thing that kept this place from being a 5 star were the jerk chicken tacos. They weren't bad. They weren't great. We couldn't really taste the jerk. Tacos are actually really good, I ordered the mango wings and calamari as appetizers, then the Lobster Taco and Coconut Shrimp Taco for entree. My boyfriend had the same + a Jerk Chicken Taco. We had Passion fruit margaritas to drink! Both the food and the beverages were amazing however I am extremely disappointed in the service and will definitely make sure I pay close attention to my bill if I do dine here in the future. There was a 20% gratuity charge of $17.50 on our bill of $95.27. I asked our server why we were charged a 20% gratuity for a party of two when the menu says 20% is charged to parties 5+ His response was "We charge 20% because it is COVID and nobody tips here" (I googled this and if there is a COVID surcharge, it's 10% and will also be labeled accordingly) ... we never received the receipt to sign/add tip so I'm sure he will take care of that himself. 20% would be a fair tip however adding gratuity for a party of two is wrong and not giving us the receipt to sign/tip is sus. -- food was really good just want to make that clear. read more

Miti Miti is one of my favorite brunch spots in the neighborhood! I have come twice for brunch, and if you ask me their extensive drink menu is unmatched. For $20 or $25 you can opt for their 1.5 hr boozy brunch or VIP boozy (more drink options) that include mimosa, Bloody Mary, sangria, sangritas, classic or frozen margaritas or beer. They have tons of mimosa flavors (Hibiscus, Tamarindo, Mango, Passion Fruit, Guava, Coconut, Pineapple, Lychee, Jalapeño, OR Lavender). I haven't been since making the decision to cut meat from my diet, but I have had their fried chicken sandwich that was very good (I can never pass up anything that comes with aioli sauce), and their crispy fish tacos. Overall the food isn't what would keep me coming back (average), but one thing to make note of, is it definitely does not disappoint. They also have churros (my favorite)! Everything came out perfectly. My favorite was the lobster and fish Taco. I will definitely be back again. The only thing I didn't like was the 20% gratuity added to the bill. There is a short list of phrases I've seen, on signs, menus, webpages, etc., which have acted as the flame to my moth. Past phrases have included: - $1 frozen margaritas at lunchtime - 32 rooms of books - duck hash Allow me to present the latest "flame" phrase: lobster guacamole. Evidently that is a thing. Who knew? I didn't until I visited Miti Miti. It wasn't quite what I was expecting. I thought the lobster might be mixed in, but it was flaked on top. That allowed you to dip your chips (warm and delicious, by the way) into either the lobster, the guac, or both. And that guac had a strong, lime presence, which I liked, as it also did for my margarita and my huevos rancheros. The huevos rancheros were a bit unique to me with the layers of, I believe, fried tortillas. That added a nice and interesting texture to the dish. I loved everything about this place - the food, the friendliness of the staff, those cool T-shirts they wear, and the decor. It's definitely a place I could see myself spending several hours with food, drink, and conversation. I can't be miti miti about Miti Miti. It's all todo todo! read more

Had an amazing experience at Miti Miti. Went for a solo lunch and the staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. I came towards to tail end of their brunch hours but they still gave me the option to participate in the deal but honestly I didn't need the bottomless because the drinks are nice and strong. I had the lychee margarita and really enjoyed the flavor, wish I couldn't tried others as well. The guacamole was really good as well and was really flavorful and on the smoother side rather than chunky. Also got the crispy chicken tacos that came with rice and beans on the side. Get your individual drink instead, you get more and tasted better. Had Long Taco FLight, 10 tacos for $69 ($7 per taco) unless you're getting the $7.50/8 tacos not worth it. We were told we can choose 4,3,3. So we had 3 Grilled Shrimp (the best) 3 Steak Chimichurri (the meat was tough and chewy) and 4 Lobsters ( was good). Our waitress was barely serving us, taking care of everyone else. After that all that, our bill came with 20% tip included $30+!!! We talked to the team leader a very nice man who understands after explaining to him what we went through. Reservations were easily made online and given it was prime holiday season and our reservation was for a Saturday brunch, I give kudos to this place for not charging us a deposit to hold a table for a large party (13 of us). Thank you for that! The main negative I take issue with is being rushed through the entire meal. I get you have to flip the tables and we're a large party, but did you really have to do a countdown reminder every time you swung by? We heard you the first time and we understood. WOW. The food was great and drinks were amazing. My wife ordered a couple of tacos, and each taco was beyond delicious. I had the burrito bowl which was also delicious. We had a couple of lychee margriats and the sangritas...which did not disappoint. Only complaint is the music was a bit too loud and we had to scream over the music to talk to each other and the waiter. And the drink service was a bit slow. Hoping they can improve on this. Our server, Benny, was absolutely incredible! He was kind, attentive, relatable, and gave us great recommendations, as it is our first time in Brooklyn.
