We've loved the food for a couple of years. But I was recently injured, and am not able to get in and out of my car without help. I called the Downers Grove, IL location and talked to a very friendly server named Danielle. She readily agreed to let me get curbside delivery, and she was the person who came to my car with the food. She was all smiles, and super nice. A great BBQ place has come to the Aurora/Naperville area! Before this place, I would have to drive 20 to 30 minutes to go to a great barbecue place. This place offers you everything on a typical barbecue menu but they give you the option of lean or wet. The meat is extremely tasty, but my favorite are the jalapeño sausages. Those are to die for. Another great thing they offer is there mac & cheese. Their mac & cheese is some of the best in the area and this alone is worth the trip and the cost. Let me say this.... The ribs are incredible!!! I began to question what are all other people in the world making? Even in the south. Their smoker is EVERYTHING. Then add the blueberry cobbler side note, the lack of diversity on the walls spooked me & almost made me leave, I will just have to order online going forward. Shockingly small portions for the price. Everything a la carte. Left feeling unsatisfied and taken advantage of. Won't be returning.

I tried their baby back ribs and was disappointed. The outside "bark" or surface of the ribs was very hard and not edible. Under this was a moist soft rib meat with a nice smoke taste but for what I paid there was a lot of waste so for me it's one and done. Not too far to the east of them there is a much better bbq joint that never disappoints. read more

Came in today to get some dinner with my boyfriend, ordered a half yard bird and it looks like I ordered the last one but it was a little too small for their standards. They let me pick something else on the menu and gave me the other item and some fries WITH the chicken that was a little small. Best place to eat at, management looks like they treat their staff very well and it's a really welcoming environment. I would have been fine with the smaller chicken but they went above and beyond. Loved all the sauces, and I think the owner or manager must have noticed that I was really digging in because when she asked how we were enjoying our meal I exclaimed how wonderful everything was and she ended up bringing us 2 of their seasonal desserts! Mission BBQ provided excellent service from start to finish. Their menu was similar and fair priced for the portions you get. Service was very helpful and checked on us often. The food we got was 3 meat platter with baby back ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. The baby back ribs were fall off the bone and very tasty with any sauces. The pulled pork was well seasoned and moist. The brisket was good but I used some sauce to add flavor. After our meal our server gave us their iconic blueberry cobbler which was sweet and delicious. I would recommend anyone this spot if you are looking for awesome ribs! Their sauces were okay but they have a variety to match your taste. Awesome spot overall! read more

Sorry, I realize this restaurant has a good cause, but I must say it's the second time we've been there: first and last,,,,, We ordered Baby Back Ribs (10 bone) - 2 orders, my wife and I, one order each. They didn't look tasty at all and they were not tasty too. It's not the typical barbecue bone, when you take it to your hands and feel a more consistent meat. Not the meat it was served there. And it didn't taste fresh at all. My wife, didn't even touch the meat, she ate the fries and I ate half of my ribs. This place was so amazing the food was so good and the amount of sauces just tied the whole meal together. My favorite was the Smoky Mountain followed by the KC Classic. On top of that, the customer service was 5 stars, by far the best I have ever experienced. We told them this was our first time here and they gave us a complimentary dessert (caramel bread pudding) and a free sandwich coupon next visit. The staff was so warm and welcoming and walked me through each and every option I could have on a gluten free diet (allergy) - even walked me through the rubs and sauces. We order pick up about every two months at the Mission BbQ in Naperville. Good food but they have forgotten one of our items every single time we have placed an order so three stars. Last time it happened I decided to finally call to tell a manager about the missing item. I was friendly and let her know that every time we visit something is missing but their food is great. She got my address and said she would send a coupon. Never got it. Tonight I had to remind the server about the coleslaw and failed to notice we were missing our fries. Be sure to thoroughly check your order before leaving! They dont seem to ever reference the order receipt so you have to! read more

I was excited to try some takeout at mission in Naperville since we have tried DG prior, however, I unfortunately walked in and immediately saw an older blonde lady who may havr been a manager along side a dark haired lady both with no masks anywhere on their face or neck in the food prep area looking like they were going over instructions. During a pandemic, this is surprising. They lost a $50 customer and don't think we will be going back for our monthly treat of bbq at this place, with these loose practices.
