Very tasty! Satisfied my beef cravings for the day. This place is going on my regular list. Can't wait to try their other meats too!

Yard bird, brisket, turkey, cornbread, and collard greens
Adrienne N.

The food, the service, the ambience, the cleanliness, and the staff. They're great, the food was phenomenal. This is the kind of experience that I want when I choose to go outside of my home to eat. This is the kind of place that I can take my family to and know that we are going to have a wonderful time and enjoy in the partaking of good food. The manager I did not get his name but I went on August 30 just looking for somewhere to eat and I happened upon Mission barbecue all I can say is wow! wow!wow! wow! The manager came over to every table that had someone sitting at it, and had a conversation asked how our food was, and he asked did we need anything. The young lady who was taking care of the dining area was so attentive. The Customer Service is immaculate. I just loved it. I will be returning.

Brisket sandwich
Sarah A.

I only got the brisket sandwich and it was perfect for what I needed. The meat was cooked really well and it was just a good classic sandwich. I came in at the end of night so I got super fast service. The only thing that I would've liked differently was a little bit more clarity on what all the barbecue sauces were. They have so many sauces, but the descriptions for them were not quite visible anywhere so I didn't really know what I was getting. The food that I ordered was takeout so I didn't eat in, but they had a variety of places that you could come in and sit to eat if you choose. It was a very casual vibe as well. This is nice spot if you want a quick bite to eat or if you want to sit down and have casual barbecue.

The DELICIOUS FOOD! The STAFF!! The Whole Nine Yards!!! 5 stars is really Not Enough. From the warm and welcoming ambience the decor and celebration of our service people to the HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL yet Friendly staff I didn't want to leave. Brisket! Shrimp! Collards! Mac n Cheese! EVERY item was Delectable... But the FEEL of BEING amongst the "family" I'd choose if I could, ABOUNDED...I left Completely Satisfied physically and Full Emotionally because I know I'll be treated Exactly the same way when we return. The portions were Generous but not Obscene and we were treated to their scrumptious strawberry shortcake and gifted with "coupons" for complimentary sandwiches for our next meal...COURTNEY, you're going to be the Very Best R.N. and I pray you'll have a few hours a week to Bless MBBQ with your spirit between classes. JERMAINE what a charming Mgr and Gentleman. Last but ABSOLUTELY not LEAST the STAR at the counter CORA (?) You made the menu come to Life as you meticulously described every item we inquired about. You're personality is a Vibrant as your Gorgeous red hair!!! The Best dining experience from door to table that I've had in years. BRAVO to the Whole Team! See you for my Birthday dinner!!!

This is always a solid place to eat. The food is really well-made and flavorful, the service is great, and it just has a fun, rustic ambience that I enjoy. The black plate special is always worth trying. Sometimes it's a seasonal item but is often something like a smoked prime rib. Fantastic. Good portions. Great value.

Half pulled chicken and half brisket
Shadarra A.

I got the half and half. The chicken was a little salty but it had a good flavor. I got the lean brisket. It was a little dry taste a little like beef jerky. One of my sauces looked old it was like jelly texture. The Macc and cheese was good it was a small portion. It came to 17 dollars. The meal also came with cornbread. No drink. The service was decent I didn't wait too long for my food. I went around lunch time. The ambiance was laid back. Texas theme . Area Not great for close parking , was hard to get close to the building. Had to walk from the target parking lot.

Not too much to say here that I've not said about other Mission locations. Service was great and the food was excellent per the usual. I went before noon so I didn't have to stand for the anthem. All win.

Mission BBQ A little lunchtime yumminess @missionbbq with #thoseWilliams ‍ before we get Alyse from school. Shhhh don't tell her . I had the half chicken  with the sweet & tangy BBQ sauce with cole slaw. I was only planning to eat half y'all ! But that was a lie!  Donell had the BBQ brisket sandwich with baked beans AND a half slab of ribs! Everything was Delicious! Where to next?!!

Chopped brisket sandwich in Memphis Belle sauce with a side of mac n cheese.

The food is always consistently good when I come here. They have a lot of choices for sauces and meat. The Mac and cheese is great.

I'm a pescatarian so I haven't tried their BBQ meats (the friends I've brought have raved about their brisket) but they do have a vegan jackfruit sandwich that's solid and I love their Mac and cheese. I normally go to sit at the bar and enjoy their cocktails and whiskey selection which is one of the best near me. They have a great selection of some of those hard to acquire bourbons and quite a few exclusive barrel picks. The last time I was in, my buddy and I finally tried their Buffalo Trace and Rittenhouse picks on their own (as opposed to my standard Manhattan) and I ended up taking a bottle of their Rittenhouse home.

Service was friendly and welcoming upon walk-in, but that was the best part of our experience. The food sadly did not match the reputation. EVERYTHING came out lukewarm, the brisket was overcooked and dry, cornbread was burnt and hard, greens had no seasoning, and the baked beans were overwhelmingly vinegary. The bratwurst was underwhelming with no real snap, and even the B-side drink was way too sour. The mac & cheese and coffee BBQ sauce were the only good items of our entire meal. I really hope the kitchen staff was having an uncommon off-day, because this visit didn't reflect the recognition at all. Our meal was a compete letdown, so I hope they improve for future diners soon. PS - There is an upstairs and a downstairs, but if you sit upstairs, you have to order your food downstairs - they do bring the food up to you though.

If you're talking Baltimore pit beef, Chaps Pit Beef has been a staple for years, and after coming here for over a decade, I can confidently say it still delivers every single time. Their new location, just a stone's throw from the original humble shack, is a huge upgrade. You get the same iconic food, but now with a much larger dining room that actually makes it easy to bring a group without fighting for space. It's the best of both worlds. Same old school flavor with a more comfortable setup. On my most recent visit, I stuck with my go to. A loaded hoagie absolutely packed with pit beef, corned beef, sausage, and turkey. It's massive, messy in the best way, and exactly what you want when you're craving something unapologetically Baltimore. I paired it with a large order of fries, which were piled high and perfect for sharing. Decided to switch it up a bit and try the Holy Cod fish sandwich too, and that ended up being a sleeper hit. Huge portion of crispy fried cod, topped with fresh coleslaw on a soft bun. Not something you usually go to Chaps for, but honestly worth ordering. Everything came out crazy fast, which is always impressive considering how busy they can get. Quick stop at the condiment bar is a must. Load up on the free pickles, onions, Carolina Gold mustard, and that tiger sauce. The horseradish and mayo combo just hits different on pit beef. Bottom line, Chaps might not be a hidden gem anymore, but it doesn't need to be. It still outperforms most spots in the pit beef game and continues to be one of the best sandwiches you can get in Baltimore.

It didn't even have the smell or feel of a proper pit beef place. Customer service also needs improvement. Literally drive 90 min from PA to Halo's because the food is THAT good…read more Halo Hawaiian in Maryland is one of those places you go to because you're hungry, not because it looks flashy -- and honestly, that works in its favor. The space is basic, but the food is what keeps people coming back. The portions are big without feeling sloppy. The chicken katsu is solid: crispy on the outside, still juicy inside, and not drowned in sauce. The BBQ plates are dependable -- sweet, smoky, and cooked well -- especially if you like a mix of meats. Nothing feels overdone, and that's kind of the point. The mac salad deserves a mention because it actually tastes like mac salad, not some watered-down side. Creamy, simple, and it pairs well with everything else on the plate. Rice is cooked right, which shouldn't be a big deal, but it is. It's not trying to be trendy or upscale Hawaiian food. It's just straightforward comfort food that fills you up and tastes good. If you're looking for a reliable spot when you want something hearty and familiar, Halo Hawaiian gets the job done.

I also got some teriyaki sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because the pork definitely needed a little sauce. There were onions in the pork that I wished were cooked a bit more, they basically steamed. The flavor was delicious but the takeout bag leaked pork juice (?) all over my other groceries so that kinda sucked. That's the only reason for my 4 stars this time, but the food was amazing as always!
