Everything we ordered was fantastic! Catfish sandwich with BBQ black beans, brisket, wings and collard greens. We are from Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi so we love this kind of food. Service was fast and efficient. 5 stars!!

We found this location on Instagram and definitely wanted to try. I'm so happy we did. We were greeted with top tier customer service! We were provided with recommendations on favorite dishes. We ordered fish, bbq baked black beans (THEY ARE MY FAV!) , yams, Mac and cheese and grilled wings (too good! Omg!). This place is truly a gem! I encourage you to stop by for some good eats and great customer service! You won't regret it!

Was very excited to find this black owned barbecue restaurant minutes from my home. I was greeted when I walked in. They have a nice amount of seating inside the restaurant and a nice patio area outside, perfect for when the weather is nice. Although I wanted to order everything I started with just the Catfish sandwich and two sides. The fish was very well seasoned and came with a bag of chips. For the price I wish it included a little more like lettuce, tomato or cheese as options for the sandwich. I also got the Mac n cheese when was pretty good and the yams because they were out of cabbage. I will definitely be back to try the bbq soon!

What a welcomed replacement of Woodrow's! I hadn't been in the area for quite a while and was unaware a new place nestled into this location! Decided to check it out! Service was friendly. Their frozen drinks, absolutely amazing! The size for the cost is awesome as well! I had a kiwi apple and we got the strawberry I think watermelon it was. Very very tasty! We grabbed a 2 meat item with sides and a brisket sandwich which was good but for me personally, I like a leaner cut of brisket. I may see if that request can be satisfied next time. The place is similar to Woodrow's with the chalk board and the overall layout! I will most definitely return!

5,5,5! We were out and about visiting customers and did not know where to go. I went on Yelp! And looked around. I saw BBQ, my favorite food. So we headed over. The location of this spot is great. It's such a cute little area for a couple blocks that have all types of trendy stuff. Like a little triangular neighborhood. Guy at the counter that served us was super friendly and helpful. Love the decor here and the outdoor tables are great. The food was absolutely delicious. If you like BBQ you gotta try it. I got pulled pork and my coworker got the brisket. The BBQ sauce was perfect. I'm a sauce guy. So I know.

Simple, straightforward BBQ joint where it's done right! Tim is awesome and the food is wonderful. Ribs are amazing, pulled chicken, cabbage if they have it, broccoli....baked beans! It was all fantastic! Cornbread muffins too! It's small, and does a lot of carry out but we enjoyed a lovely meal on the porch, even though it was raining.

Decided to come here for my sister and I monthly lunch date. The customer service was great! There's limited seating inside and also outside. Now onto the food. The catfish was delicious, seasoned and fried just the way I like it. The Mac and cheese had great flavor and cheesy. It's made with shells instead of elbow pasta. It held the cheese sauce well. The cabbage was good had a down home flavor. My sister said the pulled pork was good but she liked my catfish more. She also liked the candied yams. They also have slushies and my sister got the peach one which she really like. Overall it was a great choice. Will definitely be back.

When the previous bbq place at this location closed, I was fairly sad. There's not a lot of good spots to pop in for lunch. So, I was really excited when this place popped up in that location. It honestly looks identical to the old restaurant, and I suspect someone just took it over. The menu is seemingly the same. I ordered a pulled pork bbq sandwich platter, with fries and mac. It also comes with pickled veggies and a bag of crisps. The sandwich came quickly and was slathered with bbq sauce. The sauce is a bit sweet for me -- honestly it reminds me of "sweet baby ray," and I would not be shocked to find out they're using it -- but it was tasty. The pork was flavourful, though I do wish there was something else on the bun, too. The mac was fantastic, and you can taste the cheeses in the mix. Gouda, I think? Whatever, it's good. It's really rich and I couldn't finish it. Wimp. The pickles are the best part, though they're spicy. Overall, a nice addition to the Mt Wash area.

I checked out this newly opened bbq spot for lunch today with a friend. It's a very small operation in which the owner both takes the orders and cooks. He was extremely kind and greeted my friend and me as soon as we walked in. Our food came out pretty quickly (in about 10-15 minutes). I ordered the brisket sandwich with mac and cheese as a side, and my friend ordered the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese. The first bites of our meals were heaven. I found the meat to be well seasoned and extremely tender. I loved the bbq sauce and wish I had ordered a little extra for my sandwich. It was quite warm in the restaurant, but the heat is honestly miserable everywhere right now so I'm not sure how much of that is on the owner. All in all, it's a great spot for a delicious meal, and I would come back!

And I'm back! And you know it wouldn't be a full service trip to Baltimore without a trip to Chaps!…read moreMy husband and I made our usual stop and got our pit beef sandwich's and I swear every time it's better than we remember. This time we were also notably impressed by the fry's too; nice and crispy and didn't get soggy with a hefty amount of malt vinegar. The servings are big and a regular to a large is usually only a $1 difference... get the large! They were having a special on jerk chicken and my husband got a whole chicken which we took to go and snacked on the rest of the weekend; it was amazing! The lobby and dining space were also nice and clean, fully stocked, and had lots of seating. I love the indoor picnic tables and the condiment choices (I'm a sauce boss!). We then had our flight delayed... by a whole day! And after our general annoyance we realized we would get to squeeze in one more trip to Chaps, blessing in disguise. See you guys again sooner than later, we'll be thinking about you till then!

So good! The Pitt beef was cooked medium rare (my request) and was very good! Loved the baked beans (have meat in them and green peppers and just had a good flavor! The fresh cut fries were also good! They also have pickles available too! Hubby enjoyed the triple d sandwich! Service: Service was excellent! The woman who took our order was great at answering questions and made sure we knew what we were ordering! They also have help staff in the dining room refilling condiments and wiping down tables. Also didn't take long for the food to be ready. Ambiance: Picnic tables, table and chairs as well as booth seating available. Not too large of a place but we found seats at noon on a Sunday!

They come with a marina sauce but I swear you don't even need it. Their normal Detroit style pizza is bready and yummy, but the New Haven style is thin and so crispy. You can't go wrong with either. They also have good salads and super crispy chicken tenders. I only wish the breading was seasoned as they taste a little bland. Was in Baltimore for a show at Creative Alliance (highly recommend checking out Get Mortified --…read morefantastic show!) and stumbled across Pig & Rooster... and wow, what a find. This is the kind of neighborhood bar you instantly want to make a staple every time you are in the area. Chill vibe, and absolutely phenomenal Detroit style pizza. Our group tried four different pies and every single one knocked it out of the park: crispy edges, great toppings, perfect dough. The bartender was awesome too, super attentive and even shared a good laugh with me about a couple of the signs around the bar. It made the experience even better. Highly recommended if you are in the neighborhood, or honestly, even if you are not. Pig & Rooster is worth the detour.

Everyone agreed their chicken is outstanding - people were actually talking about it. Native Baltimoreans were saying it was the best chicken they had had in B-more. The gentleman who coordinated my order (Vernon?) was patient and made the order easy. He helped me figure out how much to order and how to get and use the Sternos. On the day of the party, the food was delivered right on time and tightly wrapped to prevent spills and keep the hot food hot.
