Love this store. Has tons of bolts, nuts, screws, joints, hinges, you name it from literally for every era. And the staff are so knowledgeable in what they offer and know exactly what aisle to help you find that one thing. The staff are oh so friendly and very helpful and one staff that stood out is CHELSEA!! you know it girl! Help me in a bind...literally. As promised, I would write a compliment to her assistance today and it is well deserved. As with each staff member, I hope others can give a compliment to how staff has helped you. I love this neighborhood friendly hardware store!! read more

Went in looking for batteries and after 10 min decided to ask a cashier where they were. The cashier motioned with her eyebrows that they were right behind me. I proceeded to tell her I couldn't read her facial expressions and could she please show me. Since I had never been to this location I looked and didn't immediately see the rack. She again lifted her eybrows and said "see? Easy peasey " Sorry I didn't know exactly where you were referring to ma'am.. she proceeded to tell the next few customers in line "I'm nice to ALL My customers, I'm having a great day!" As I was shopping for the batteries she told me "you're making a bigger deal out of this than is necessary". Take your business elsewhere, even if this place is convenient to you. They don't deserve your business. read more

Wonderful experience ... helpful staff, friendly atmosphere, good inventory. Their hours are beyond reasonable! read more

Mission Ace has the best employees and customer service of any of the larger stores. Andrea and Sarah, to name a few. All of the staff are helpful and knowledgeable so I don't have to scrounge around trying to find somebody to help! read more

I've been going to this Ace for a few years and always have a great experience. The staff is friendly and always asks if I need any help locating anything as they have quite a large inventory. I especially like how they have the smaller and harder to find fasteners that the big box stores don't have. They have also been great about special orders on larger items, or items not in stock. Also a great selection of bbq and smoker items! Never a long line at checkout or at paint; defiantly a worthwhile place to shop! read more

Only reason this location gets 4 stars is because it always has inventory. Staff can be rude depending on who you get and what there mood is. read more

Great Place Greeted with a smile and a hello as i walked in the door went only to get a bucket and was surprised at the assortment of BBQ s and smokers they had. Not to mention rubs and sauces i have not been any ware locally that has near there inventory. If you looking for wood pellets this is the place for traeger pellets nobody has all of the different blends not to mention the price was great. You don't have to go online they have it all read more

This place is great! The prices are a bit higher than HD, Lowe's and Harbor Freight bur their service and knowledge is far greater than the other three. I always come here for nuts and bolts because they are well stocked and organized. read more

I can tell you why Ace hardwares keep shutting down. We went into this store after checking stock online on a grill planning to drop $1500 on this thing and take it home. The sale price was not marked so we asked the nearest associate about the price. He gets on his earpiece to ask about the price. All of a sudden we are surrounded by like 6 workers trying to figure out the price of this grill. They start making this big deal about if we get the sale price then we won't get the starter kit with a cover and spices in it. That's fine we say, we would rather get the sale price. I asked can you try to ring it up and see if it's just on sale? Lo and behold, we get it to the register and it rings up on sale. The next issue was all 6 employees didn't feel it would fit in our car. After measuring and figuring out it will fit buying it there just didn't seem worth it. It just seemed like they'd rather argue about stuff than sell it so we got in the car and ordered it with free scheduled delivery from Home Depot without any hassle or judgement from any store employees. read more

OK let's just say in a world where customer service is fleeting, here it is thriving! Jeff is the man! He actually greeted us in the parking lot and helped me unload my grill and processed the return with a smile! This ACE has a customer for life!!!!!!!!!! read more

Every time we go in this store, we have received the best customer service ever! Doesn't matter what it is, electrical (or lighting), painting supplies, safety locks/key replacement, cleaning supplies (they have De-solv-it - IT WORKS!), nuts/bolts, to our most recent visit. Needed tiny batteries for a couple things...air conditioning remote, etc. Our problem was solved by Arron (sp?, - don't know last name), he went far above what was expected, got it opened (we couldn't), and reset it. Little (or big) issues that cause big problems, are gladly tackled by this Ace Hardware store, and it's VERY proficient and helpful employees. Arron could've easily said, I can't do that or you'll have to do that yourself (like Home Depot, etc. would've done), but he went the extra mile to make sure our problems were solved. You may save a few cents elsewhere, but you'll never regret the great customer service, which is fading in this society. Thanks, again, Aaron. We so appreciated you! read more

I love having this store so close to home. The staff is always super helpful and I can just walk in with a part, show them what I have and they take me where I need to go! Anytime I go in I can have 3 to 5 employees ask me if I need help while I wander the aisles looking for crafting ideas. If I explain a new item I'm trying to design they will frequently help me find a part to make it happen, I love that! The staff is super friendly, they recognize me and acknowledge me accordingly, that is much appreciated in this age of crappy service anywhere else I go. The store is well-stocked and easy to shop. Special orders and services are available for many other items. This is my go to hardware store! read more

Mission Ace Hardware - Hardware Stores Near Me - Glendora, California

I too am pretty sick of rude people! I loved the store and was impressed with the inventory, but it went sour, yes you guessed it, with the cashier! What the hell ever happened to "Hello and Thank you sir"? This B never said a word to me and just put my Change on the counter. Won't be back. read more

I was happy when I saw this "red hot buy" on storage containers! Unfortunately, this misleading ad was only for the $3.99 containers. I asked to speak to a manager and John (no title on his badge) was very short and told me he would not honor this ad and said I could call corporate. I have never felt more dismissed. What happen to customer service? From now on, I will only use their mailings to line the bottom of my birdcage. read more

Mission Ace Hardware - Red Hot Deals? More like Red Hot Lies! - Hardware Stores Near Me - Glendora, California

Great local hardware store. Great selection, friendly, knowledgeable staff. We have been shopping there since they opened. Customer service ladies are very friendly, and helpful, especially the tall blond lady. I think her name is Reyann. Recommend them to all of my friends. read more

My husband had an unpleasant experience with store employee. One employee took him to restroom and another employee was so rude and disrespectful. As he was leaving the restroom he became confrontational and tried to prevent him from using the restroom even though a coworker was there and had escorted him. As an adult there was a better way to address this issue. If restroom is not for customers there should be signage. At the entrance to restroom is Not right time to pursue the issue. Good customer service is let customer use, discuss with management and make sure all employees are on the same page. I never would have shared this publicly if I had received acknowledgment from Ace after contacting them. Just wanted public to be aware of unkind treatment at store. Better customer service would have been Ace apologizing and letting customer know what policy is for store restroom. Have yet to have a response to communication sent via email. Previously had always had good experiences at Ace in Glendora. read more

No exaggeration the workers here are friendly, helpful and knowledge--aka perfect. They are the main reason I shop here instead of Home Depot or Lowe's. While it is a little bit smaller store they almost always have what I need. I'm clueless when it comes to certain projects but the workers never make me feel stupid for it. I have also had certain people tell me I need to talk to another employee about my project because they are the most knowledgeable in that area. I appreciate their honesty!! I also like that it's a franchise so this shop is owned by locals! Always great to shop local when you can read more

I recently shopped at Mission Ace Hardware one day ago. This store is a great small business. Everyone is so friendly! The sales associates in paint really know there stuff. Better yet there keys are only .50 cents! The big box stores are double that. Also, don't believe the negative posts on here either. I used to work in retail and dealing with the public is not easy. There is tons of crazy people out there. It seems like people need to relax. I always say every single person should work two weeks in retail. If that happened people might think twice about being difficult. Anyway, back to the review. If you like a warm friendly old school hardware store Mission Ace Hardware is the place for you. read more

Went here the other day to get a specific lightbulb and to see what kind of large moving boxes they had. They didn't have the exact bulb I was looking for but I got one that was similar and as far as the boxes, they have limited sizes. BUT the associate gave me suggestions on places to look for bigger size boxes. Now that's great customer service. I will definitely stop by here first before going anywhere else for my hardware needs. The staff here is extremely helpful and attentive to your needs. Highly recommend everyone check this place out first before going to Home Depot or Lowe's. read more

I know that Ace Hardware stores are locally owned and I would truly like to see all local businesses flourish in these difficult times. I've made the trek to this store on a number of occasions even though I have a larger chain hardware store in walking distance from my house. I was disappointed on my last visit, where I went for a new o-ring for the stopper in my bathroom sink. I was told that putty would work much better for that application. While this sounded a little strange, the guy told me that he had installed dozens of sinks and knew what he was talking about. It turns out that putty works great for sealing immovable joints, but for a stopper that raises and lowers, the o-ring is really the way to go. I was pushed toward the putty in spite of the fact that I had a picture on my phone that clearly showed where I was trying to put the o-ring. After experiencing total failure with the putty, I resigned myself to getting a generic o-ring from the warehouse store whose signature color is the same as that of the outgoing president that their former CEO is buddies with. read more

I decided to visit Ace Hardware in Glendora, Ca after not finding what I needed for my project. Ray was very friendly and helpful in finding the product that I asked for. He had the greatest tips on how to use the product. He was extremely patient in answering my questions. Can't find that kind of service at a big store. Because of Ray, I will visit Ace Hardware for my next project. read more

I always thought of this as my neighborhood hardware store until today. We have been here 3 times in the last couple of weeks to get Weber Charcoal. When I asked an associate today, he walked me to an aisle and said, "up until 2 months ago, this aisle was lined with grills, now we're out of stock ." I said, "OK, but I'm looking for Weber charcoal." He told me that I was out of luck because shipments come on Wednesdays and Fridays and oh, by the way, since they don't limit quantities, people are buying 4 and 5 bags at a time and one guy comes in and buys 12 bags a week. Really??!!! If you are a neighborhood store, you should limit quantities especially with how stupid people are with hoarding issues due to the pandemic. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Will avoid shopping here in the future. read more

Have lived in Glendora for many years and have shopped at Ace Hardware for years. I preferred to pay more and drive further to Ace because of their service. But the new employees are rude and not helpful, the women are the worst of the bunch, surly and have no hardware knowledge. I now get better service at Home Depot. read more

Decided to take matters into my own hands a fix a cracked irrigation line. Giles greeted me in an aisle with a smile and asked what project I was working on. I explained and he said "easy!" and reassured me I could do this all by myself and save a lot of money by doing so. He made sure I only had what I absolutely needed and explained what to do. Giles was right - I repaired my sprinkler line by myself and didn't spend much to do so. Thanks Giles for helping this single female feel empowered!!! read more

My into Ace Hardware today to buy the window fan before you can't get them anymore but to other fans looked around very pricey in there got up to the register they're selling the same hand sanitizer 8 ounce bottle same exact brand $7.99 that you tell me if this is in price gouging $3.99 at 7-Eleven the exact same item I am extremely upset with Ace Hardware they have gotten nerve and a time of pandemic they're trying to make money off people that's sick that's twice the price gouging should be illegal and Wyncott they should be fined that should be against the law we have laws to protect us and they're not protecting us just because it's in demand doesn't mean you can charge twice as much as what the value is it's probably worth $.50 but they've got the nerve to charge $7.99 a bottle won't be frequenting Ace very often unless you need a quick item or a key made!!!!! read more

Visited this place recently on a Saturday morning. While I was looking at light bulbs, a female store associate walked in front of me (turns out it was a cashier) and it was like someone rubbed a dirty ashtray in my face. I was so disgusted! I walked into this store this morning with batteries and used florescent bulbs, looking for the recycling bin. The female checker yells out, "We don't recycle light bulbs! We never did." I just called to see if they have gypsum products and the person seemed clueless on what gypsum is. I had to explain it was for loosening clay soil. won't ever shop here or use the ship to store feature. Got a call that my order was ready. I went to pick up they said no because they were closing and they would have to look for it. Now I need to go find my item at another store and come fight with these people to get a refund on an item I paid for already because I can't get back to this store for a week now. The customer definitely does not come first read more

I have commercial accounts at Lowes and Home Depot. I find their prices pretty competitive unless I am buying high priced items or large quantities. Staff always helpful, but the window screen is sub-par. Ads are good, but I find other Ace locations run better ads then this Ace. Also, why cant you access your ace rewards if you have an credit account. They dont give you a discount, so why use their credit when you cant earn points. That just doesn't make sense read more
