This is a GREAT place for one of a kind unique not so common gifts for any occasion. Trinkets and holiday decor galore. It's so hard not buy everything up! Def stop by during Christmas time because you feel like you've stepped into a chic fancy Mrs Claus work shop! Except no toys! I do wish though they'd greet everyone with the same warmth and enthusiasm. It would make everyone feel welcome. Have gone in a couple of times and notice a discrepancy between how I'm welcomed vs others who look different than me are welcomed. But it hasn't stopped me from shopping because I wasn't treated rudely or anything like that. Plus I'm a sucker for their darling decor. read more

I wanted to support a local small business, but my experience was disappointing. I've visited this store 3 separate times to see if this was an isolated issue, and each visit felt the same. Employees did not acknowledge, look at, or even say hi to customers of color and only seemed to engage with white customers. Everyone deserves to feel welcomed and respected while shopping. I followed them on Instagram & saw something I really liked so decided to head over to buy. I was not acknowledged at all. They made me feel so uncomfortable. I walked around the store & waited until I decided to walk out. Never again. I don't know what was going on. They were too busy talking cheese with one another. They finally stopped and got to work for a few minutes. Still no one talked to me. It's a cute little store but they would have some customer service issues to fix. read more

I read a recent review on Lorisa Gardens FB page and I just had to post. My husband and I have been shopping at this beautiful store since they opened in downtown Glendora. The women that own and run this store are beyond amazing. When my husband and I had our homes in Big Bear and multiple homes in the desert they never faltered by making our homes look like something out of an architectural magazine. I continue to shop here because of their attention to detail , kindness and the wonderful service we've gotten from them over the years. When I read a recent negative review I found it completely out of character and not at all the store or people I know . Attached are just a few of the incredible items in my current home. In these trying times of COVID 19 and everything else perhaps the distance was that of giving an individual respectful space. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but mine is this is the best shop to open in Glendora in all the years I've lived in the valley and everyone in Lorisa Gardens has always been very kind and helpful. Love this store and their staff. I used to work on Glendora Avenue and would shop their quite frequently. They have such beautiful things and you won't find better gifts anywhere else. I went in recently to pick up a custom item and I needed to get teachers gifts. I asked the person helping me and she immediately had some great suggestions to go along with the Target gift cards that I had already bought. She wrapped them up beautifully as well. This shop is actually very beautifully decorated. Have quite some rare pieces. A little overpriced. My experience was definitely not welcoming at all. Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't allow me to give them 0 stars! My aunt and I walked in this morning to shop, not look around...there were 2 ladies chatting away.. My aunt and I were never acknowledged, as a matter of fact I greeted by saying "hello" and making eye contact and was ignored. I don't think I've ever felt so unwanted in a store..I'm Unsure as to why we were ignored when my aunt had shopped there previously purchasing one item that cost over $300.00.. My aunt warned me that they were unpleasant, I therefore asked her why she continued going in?? She replied by saying "the store is beautiful and I like going to see what new things they have".. I just couldn't shake off how rude these women were...my aunt begged me not to confront our being neglected, we were the only customers in the store. We finally decided to leave and I accidentally left the front door cracked open, one of the ladies who remained sitting the entre time we were in the store, got up to close the door from behind us shutting it in such an abrasive manner, such an Unpleasant person. We proceeded 2 doors down to to "Emporia" where we were greeted by a very pleasant worker, we shopped and bought a lot of things there because it's what we went out to do, to shop!!!Kindness and inclusiveness goes a long way!! I'm still trying to figure out why we were ignored, because of the color of our skin or because they made assumptions about our appearance, which was that of being dressed casually.. ‍ either way, shame on those ladies, they lost out on $200+ $$ No doubt this store is a beautiful store, and I have no doubt that the previous ladies who commented about their great customer service experience, had a great experience.. but I find it very it very interesting that a year ago a young lady of color experienced the same exact discrimination we did today.. What's more apparent and disheartening is that the owner hasn't addressed my review, instead has 2 other "patrons" write a review expressing their "great customer service." Any company who receives a negative review attempts to address the situation and better it. I guess I won't be holding my breath for it.. I come in here often. They have a great selection of home decor and gifts. The Kurtz tile is a "go to" for a wedding gift. You can have it personalized with the couples name, wedding date, even their invite! During the holidays the store turns into a Winter Wonderland and always gets me in the holiday spirit. read more

Recently my wife and I engaged with Lori and Lisa at Lorisa Gardens. We were looking at possibly a complete remodel of our bathroom or adding on another 900 square feet to our house. They assured us they could do either. We weren't just looking for a complete remodel with these two area's but many other areas of interior decorating throughout the home. We are anticipating the cost to be around $150K to $200K in work. We thought this would be of interest to anyone and we wanted to keep the business in Glendora. I stated this numerous times to them. Our first meeting got canceled with a pet emergency, the second meeting they came late, I had to go into their store 2-3 times to ask where they were in following up with costs, proposals or ideas. They assured me they would make up for their lack of attention and slow response and then when we were expecting them to come out with suggestions they showed up with travertine glued to cardboard as samples to show as an idea for the remodel of my bathroom. Strange thing our bathroom has travertine currently and it wasn't very impressive. I stressed my interest and urgent need to get this done again and was promised quick response. This entire time I have had a leak in the bathroom that I didn't want to fix because I wanted to start this project immediately and I told them the cash was burning a hole in my pocket. After her last visit it has been three weeks and they have never reached out. We never complained about any price, we never tried to negotiate, we told them we wanted to give them MONEY. I would highly recommend running as fast as you can before allowing them to contract anything for your house other what you can buy from their store and walk out with. Make sure you only pay a deposit up front and payment in full after project is complete because your project will not have any hope of starting on time nor getting competed based on what I have seen first hand. I own my own business and run a sales group and I have never seen such poor service, follow up, or desire to help. You are at great financial risk having a project with this group. "RUN" read more
