Children's Orchard has now become one of my favorite consignment stores in the area for infant/baby clothing and supplies. A friend suggested this spot and my mom and I had a mother/daughter date here a few weeks ago. They are extremely well-organized, clean, and have excellent prices. For example, for $5 you can selected 25 onesies, pants, etc. What a deal! I've now spread the word to a lot of my mommy friends! If you're patient enough, you can find some excellent semi-designer items on the racks. I found a beautiful Janie & Jack dress for $9! The lady working the store (I wish I remembered her name) was SO incredibly friendly and helpful. I will continue to support this shop despite living 20+ minutes away. read more

Been a customer here for years! I really wanted to root for this place, but time after time again they screw over their loyal customers. I've been around for a few of their "Reward Programs" and every time they roll out a new one, there's no announcement or actual Grace Period. I shopped in May and had enough points for a 20% off. Went shopping today and was eager to use my points. At checkout I was told they have a new app and the credit I have didn't transfer over. No mention of this on their social media either! If you are looking for $6-$12 play dresses this is the place. $20 used crocs/native shoes sure. But to feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer, nah. Pros: - they'll sort your items out within the day - they'll call you once everything has been processed so you don't have to wait around - they only ask for your name and phone number; not additional personal information like your address and driver's license number like some other locations require you to do - they write out a check - in-store credit is typically more than other locations I've been to Cons: - You must return the same day to collect your check or it will be store credit. No exceptions. Other than that, no complaints. The staff seemed friendly. The store was packed with children's items that were decently priced. The store is neat and organized. But after seeing reviews of how much they offer people for their stuff I would have thought the prices would've been more reasonable. A toy was $4 less here than if I were to buy it brand new in store. To me that is not too much of a discount. The pricing for clothes is also all over the place. I saw a sweater go from $4.99 to $9.99. Seems like there is no strategy for pricing they just price it what they want. I'll probably go in and look again, but I won't purchase unless I see something that's worth it. read more

Great place to trade in baby clothes and other baby items for cash or store credit! They don't take everything you bring in, just fyi. You can schedule a day and time to bring your things or you can call them during a weekday and ask if they can still take in your stuff to go through that same day. I think they have a max of 10 customers per day to sort out items. It'll take a couple hours to sort and they'll call you back to pick up unwanted items and ask if you want cash or store credit. I always opt for store credit since they always have so much to offer for really cheap! read more

Do not go here!!! Horrible experience. I had a huge amount of clothes, the staff told me that they would call me back up to let me know how much they're going to give me after they went through my clothes. When I got called back up they gave me $20. $20 for 6 pairs of pants( 2levi brand) 3 pairs of shoes, 15 shirts, 2 warm onesies 6 pairs of sweats, 1 Jean jackets and 4 jackets. All in really good condition bc my son grows so fast. $20! I told them I wanted my clothes back and they said they already mixed it in so it's either $20 or $25 credit to the store. read more

I have to say I am really disappointed in the Children's Orchard. I have been shopping here since my son was a baby they have some good finds. I am always referring people to try it out. I have been here multiple times recently and the older lady who works the cashier is rude and acts as if you are bothering her anytime you step foot in the place. I clearly don't work here so naturally I would ask her or someone who does a question if I have one, makes sense right? I have a love hate relationship with this store. And I hate leaving a super honest (my personal opinion) review when the people that work their are so nice and kind. I love it for the gently used clothing/puzzles/toy items for my kids but I feel with each visit my frustrations grow because it seems the experience gets worse and worse. Their new "logging in" system for their buy backs is like 5 or 6 steps to log in one item. They enter if it's boys/girls, brand, size, item description, color, and their 3 or 4 codes. I think they also google the item to see how much it retails for. So if you have one laundry basket full to "sell" to them you can easily wait hours. This last time I went to sell items I had a half - laundry basket of clothes and a small tub of toddler toys. I dropped off at 9:45 and it wasn't ready for pick up until 11:45. I was told their was only ONE person a head of me. When you don't live close it's a long time to wait especially if you have kids with you. They say they call you back and you have till end of day to pick up what they don't buy but it's so inconvenient. They would benefit from a second computer to check people out as long lines form, more workers pricing and doing "buys" and a larger store. It's just overcrowded especially when some people bring in multiple trash bags full of toys and clothes and they fill the main aisles. I have also seen in increase in prices. A shirt that would cost 3 dollars like 4 years ago when I first started going there is now 5 or 6. I just have seen a significant increase in prices in their items. Not sure if it's worth selling to them any longer- I might just use OfferUp or Facebook market place to sell my items and then stick to higher end thrift stores when trying to find cheap kid stuff. read more

Travelled far to this place (keep in mind the gas prices) as I was told I had to bring some items and they had to see them in person for them to purchase them from me and they never informed me it is only during certain hours of the day. So what did I do? I drove to my storage to pick up about 10 mini Melissa shoes to take and when I get there I'm told it's only in the earlier hours of the day and that they were booked. This place has so much potential. I've been shopping here since I had my son, last year. Every time, J feel so awkward. The lady at the front counter is older, and she is always, always upset and bothered by something. I've gone there twice while she is training a new employee and she talks so short to them. I am afraid to even ask a question because every costumer I see ask her a question, they immediately get shut down or get a short answer. I have found a few good items here, but it does not compare to most of the items that are high priced. I would not recommend traveling far to visit this place.. This is two sections, one for selling and the other for buying. For buying: great quality, prices and easy to shop. Love shopping here for my kiddos. Sometimes they have clearance and that's a great deal. They have toys, baby electronics such as swings, bouncers, jumpers. Strollers as well as other accessories! For selling: I called to set get info in selling and they told me the info, and hours. I work graveyard so waking up early is hard for me. I go in and I was not told the swing I wanted to sell had to be assembled. When I asked the cashier when is a good time with less people. I would not recommend selling items here unless you are expecting yardsale prices for your items... They have no standardized list for what they buy or price ranges, they don't even count your items to maintain integrity as to what you are leaving for them to look at overnight. You get a phone call with an offer and a deadline to come collect or I assume they just keep all of your items! When I arrived they produced a basket of what they didn't want. Then said they took the rest for a flat rate. But you don't see what they took. I got the sense that they have two businesses: selling online for items they can get more for and then selling in store for lower brands. They obviously know what they are buying and anticipate that you don't. I took in boys Kyrie Nikes no wear, Nike court borough all black no wear, Boys all leather Ecco boots no wear, and two pair of crocs along with two brand name hats, various Nike and Abercrombie tees and basketball shorts. They offered me $31 for ALL. I get they have to mark up product but it was absolutely weird. They don't tell you what they are pricing each item at either. They just say here's what we don't want, don't even show you what they did want, and tell you a flat rate. Super shady business practices. Shopping is straight forward, but seller BEWARE! read more

Oh boy! Beware of bad possible rude associates. I've been here two times now and I really think that it's a toss up of whether or not you're going to get good customer service. The very first time I came in I encountered a very nice young lady. She informed me of their buying policy thoroughly and answered all the questions that I had. The second time I came in to sell items and the girl who was doing the appraising was extremely rude. I arrived about 30mins early because of their "first 15" policy. The store opened the doors promptly at 9:30 and I was the 3rd person in line. About 45mind later I came back in the store to check the progress on my sell. That's when I encountered the unnecessary smart mouth of the buyer. She'd just got done with the first buy and I simply asked her if she could provide me with a time estimate because I was thinking about leaving the shopping center and coming back. Her response was very condescending and along the lines of "well if I just got done with number one, then there's two and then three." Slightly stunned, I looked at her, said "that was rude" and then just walked away. I honestly don't know if I'll be back.... read more

I've been a customer here for years! I shopped here a few times when my 14 year old was a toddler. I've been here more often since I now have a 4 and 3 year old girls. It's basically a thrift store devoted to children items. What's really upsetting is I've always been nice to Kelly the owner. We've had conversations every time I'm there and she is working the floor/counter. When they got a new reward system I enrolled. It is my birth month but unfortunately at the time I registered, Kelly did not enter that information. I asked if they would honor the 10% discount and Kelly denied it. My issue is, you'd think it'd be more of a family oriented store BUT it's not. Truthfully, you will bring in a hamper full of great condition clothes, and they'll offer you $20 cash or $28 store credit... then sell each item for $8. I suggest making the trip to Rancho where they have the best children's consignment. Great customer service and payout. read more

I went here with low expectations and I was most certainly surprised by my experience. This store is unlike the other franchises Children's Orchards that I've visited in CA. This location is extremely organized, clean and appear to be very selective about what they sell. The toys are shrink wrapped (see picture) which is awesome since kids tend to put their months on toys sometime. The buying process did take a while but I can see why since they clean and prep the items for display prior to finalizing the consignment session. I have 3 kids under 5 and therefore we go through clothes like crazy! I have to shop but I don't want to break the bank while I try to keep up with their growth. That's why I love second hand as an option because outgrowing good clothes is what kids do, I get really great value for gently used or never used clothes here. The store is organized and has great pricing for the brand name clothing they offer, you get to dress your children in mall brands without the price tag. They also offer strollers, toys, maternity pillows, toys, crib sheets and accessories... the list is endless. The staff is friendly and helps answer your questions even when busy, the only reason I don't give a full 5 starts is because they offer a very small selection for boys clothes especially toddler, the girls have way more merch and I know because I shop for both. If you want to sell your baby items, don't expect getting much from this place. They give you pennies back..you might be better off selling it elsewhere. I do think I am pretty realistic, too when it comes to the prices of used and new baby items. And their selection on what they want to buy from you is very random..they've bought old outdated things but skipped out on the new and modern items. Go figure. And it's a hit or miss when it comes to buying from here. I do think their prices on some items (especially Target brands) can be priced a little high. I don't see how they expect people to buy faded Target brand items for such a high price when they can just go across the street to Target and buy it new and for the same price or even cheaper.
