Great experience this morning! I was greeted and helped by Cindy. She was kind and attentive. Her customer service was definitely refreshing! Also, got some great deals read more

Kristina was very well informed on the children's clothes and how they would fit after being washed, which is very important to me. She also saved me money by telling me, the two pair of pants I grabbed for my little one were on sale and to puck another pair because the deal was buy two pair and get the third one for free. Kristina also offered me a children's place credit card and I got thirty percent off my entire bill for applying. I overall had a great experience. Did I mention Kristina did all of this with a big smile like my hundreds of questions did even phase her. I will be going back to that location soon. Great customer service read more

Kristina and Emely were both very nice and super helpful. The store is always clean, and they always provide an excellent shopping experience. It's helpful to know that the staff at the store are reliable and very customer service focused. read more

Cindy absolutely restored my faith in customer service. Shopping has felt so impersonal in recent years, and it has been a long time since I've experienced the level of care and kindness she provided while helping me exchange my son's pajamas. She truly made my day. The store was also exceptionally clean and well organized by category and size, which made my visit quick and stress-free--even with my 2-year-old and 6-month-old with me. Please never lose your spark, Cindy! read more

The Children's Place - My order - Children's Clothing Near Me - Montclair, California

Spend over $200 in their store and have the audacity to charge $0.50 for a bag to carry my kid's clothes out. 2 female employees behind the counter also bothered by my needing to checkout, interrupting their personal conversations. Won't be back and will shop elsewhere for childrens clothes. read more

Great prices and selection. Brisa and Kristina were especially friendly and helpful. Great experience.

11/22/25- Emely gives outstanding customer service! In an era of so many businesses not taking just the extra time to assist customers is now the norm... However, Emely and her manager took the time to try to find my receipt that was never provided to me for an in store online purchase. It did take some effort but they were willing to assist the customer. I am so grateful and this is a sign that Children's Place is hiring and training employees not just for a job but for meeting the customer's needs. Cooperate needs to adopt this model at Montclair Thank you ! read more

I want to thank Brisa for welcoming me at the door with a warm smile and energetic smile. She asked me if I needed any help. She went right away and got me what I needed and made my shopping selection much easier and shorter. I also, got a great discount on their clearance section. Most importantly I like the quality of the clothing material. I was a very happy camper today. Thank you again Brisa for your patience and time. read more

Found myself randomly in the Montclair Mall this morning and was pleasantly surprised to see a Children's Place since many have closed. We just left and if the service is any indication this one won't be one much longer. We got there 10mins after opening to an empty store. Walked in to a lady on her phone behind the counter, no greeting upon entering and even once we passed her. Proceeded to select items and go to the fitting room without her acknowledging our presence. Took our items to the counter and the only words uttered after she stopped texting was "do you have a re adds number" and "cash or card".... would have left but my 13yr old likes the sweatpants here. Wasn't worth the experience. read more

This store is a complete disaster. It looks like a hurricane hit the store. Please see the attachments (pictures I've provided). There is no reason why a customer, someone interested in purchasing their child clothes should deal with a mess. This store is a complete disaster! I also checked other Yelp reviews for this store, and every review mentions the same exact thing. A MESS. Well, no one else ever attached pictures of the mess, throughout years of reviews so I decided to so that you can see for yourself. MANAGEMENT: What are you doing? STORE OWNER: What are you doing? This is BAD business, get it together! read more

The store is always in disarray and low on stock of shoe sizes and Jackie the manager is very rude doesn't have customer service skills or customer consumer etiquette she needs to be retrained Asap! I will not be shopping there. read more

First time being there and my experience was HORRIBLE. The store is very MESSY and the wait was ridiculous there was 2 cashiers and I was in line for 20-25 minutes. When it was finally my turn my cashier didn't even greet me she had an attitude the whole time. read more

I am a loyal Children's Place customer. That being said, I am HIGHLY disappointed in the service that I received by one of their associates today. Apparently, a few customers were standing in the wrong line. When I asked the associate, Jasmine, why she only asked us to move and not the customers in front of us, she responded, "I was busy. Plus, there's a big ass sign over there." Managers, please provide your associates customer service training. Employees like these make you lose business. My loyalty will now be to Old Navy. read more

I loved this store. I've been shopping at the Children's Place for 10 years already. I'm giving it 1 star just because I've been a customer for so long and never have I had any issues returning anything without a receipt till recently. I lost my Children Place card and I do not know if the girls are just lazy. For sure their system needs to be upgraded like the other stores. So if you don't have your receipt or credit card with you, you could only exchange for the same item. YOU (the customer) needs to call customer service because the girls cannot even do that. Customer service needs to look up the transaction for the return. You need to do everything on your own and return back to the store with the information and then they will do your return. It doesn't make sense. They either need to train their people to call for returns or upgrade their system so they could look it up some other way. Experiences like the one I just had makes me not wanting to go back. read more

I like to start off by saying I still work for The Children's Place for about three and a half years all together and I've always kept the shelves clean you always have to keep up with the t-shirts they're always going to get unfolded I believe this store and all other children's play stores they need at least three employees on hand at all time sometimes they only have to because there's no hours but there's no way to people could keep up a store like that they're little t-shirts little pants a little leggings everything gets messy quick and in this experience at the Montclair mall was very upset because I've been working for them for any retail store that I've ever worked. You got to give 110% and if you're going to work a register it seem like these kids came from kindergarten that are barely learning to count the employee was taking forever to count my change back she didn't know if I could give my email or my phone number which is unacceptable you can give both read more

I was there this weekend. The store was a mess! For a place that obviously is geared for children/families it was so hard to get around the store with a stroller. I was so frustrated at the chaos with so many racks out with nothing on them, just in the way I didn't complete my shopping. The only good thing is there is alway clearance/sales. Bring your coupons always available online. But I agree with the other comment about online shopping, has more selection and usually lower prices. read more
