ADORABLE dresses!!! Don't let the cost of the dresses/tutu's here drive you away- you are paying for QUALITY products here. I have 3 daughters and whenever any of them wears a Beary Basics dress, I ALWAYS receive compliments! They use high quality fabrics that always have amazing designs you won't be able to find at your average retailer. From retro-prints to modern florals, you will be amazed at the selection and quality of these beautiful dresses. There are different styles, all in vibrant colors, that will be flattering for any body-type. Since they are so well-made and use higher-end materials, you can throw them in the washing machine and pull them out of the dryer and not have to worry about ironing or fading! I've had some dresses going on 4 years now, and they still look as colorful as they did when I bought them! Stephanie (the owner) and her mother are SUPER sweet- If you have daughter's that you love to spoil, need an adorable dress or fancy tutu for a little girl's birthday gift, or are looking for a great baby gift (Did I mention that they make cute blankets and towel sets for babies too?), PLEASE stop in! I'm very sorry to say that I have to give a one star review although I would give no stars if possible. The sweater I ordered as a gift came flawed. The knitted hood had a hole, so I emailed Beary Basics three times! They chose not to respond, so I'm stuck with a toddler sweater I cannot use or gift. Maybe this post will get their attention. read more

Got an item from them and they sent me the wrong size. When contacting the they asked if I could just get it altered. Needed this by a certain day so that wasnt an option. Asked them to ship correct size expedited as it was their mistake, they simply said no. Poor customer service, very indifferent considering it was their mistake Will never purchase from them again read more

After unsuccessfully trying to work this problem out with Zulily and posting on Beary Basics FB page, the Beary Basics owner called me and set up a very satisfactory solution. One of the dresses I received was mismarked so she sent me another in the correct size and I have mailed the "too small" one back to her. Thank you, Stephanie! read more

Sounds like Berry Basics has a problem with gett their clothing labeled right. I ordered a top that was supposed to be 12 months it looks more like a size 6!. Zulily was more than happy to refund my money, not only for the top but the pants as well since they didn't have another top to match. Cute stuff but I won't order from Berry Basics again. read more

So many Jellycats!…read more I've visited the boutique store a few times in the past several years, but came by today to check out if they have Jellycats...and they did! It honestly was the best supply of Jellycats that I've seen in awhile, especially with the seasonal ones that have been coming out (e.g., summer collection was partially in stock here!). Were the prices a little bit higher versus ordering from the Jellycats website or other stores? Yes. Not an exorbitant amount, but it is higher-priced. But, with how there's quite a low stock on a number of Jellycats in general, it didn't feel too awful to go ahead and purchase a couple. (I ended up getting one of the elephants, as well as an egg keychain). When talking with the owner, there's a chance that the Jellycats craze may die down soon, but it seems to be popular in the meantime. Loved chatting with the owner today, and how nice she was!

She instantly fell in love with a pink Jellycat rabbit (around $30), but right before we got to the counter, another customer bought it. The store representative kindly looked around but told us there weren't any more, so we decided on the white version instead. After lunch at the restaurant next door, we walked by the shop again and, to my daughter's excitement, saw more pink Jellycat rabbits in the display. We went back in to see if we could exchange the white one, but the store representative refused because the tag had come off. I showed her that we still had the tag -- it was immaculate and just disconnected from its twine string -- but she still wouldn't allow an exchange. It's disappointing when a small boutique with such a charming, small-town feel shows the same rigid, impersonal customer service you'd expect from a big-box store. Their items are beautiful and priced at a premium, which I don't mind paying for -- but I do expect a warmer, more understanding customer experience in return. A little more flexibility and kindness would go a long way toward keeping customers coming back.
