Came here for lunch with a friend on a Saturday, had a good time! (Drinks in photo not from here)…read more I enjoyed my Cast Iron Egg dish, the shallot (or scallion) cream sauce was the secret winner, but I may want to try something new next time. My friend enjoyed the Pork Chili Verde dish. Portions are decent. We sat outside, which at noon in May is a bit warm, but we eventually moved to a shaded table and that was enjoyable. They have lots of fans and misters outside too. I also picked up a strawberry rhubarb and coconut rum cake for my parents. They loved the strawberry rhubarb, but they said the coconut rum cake was a bit strong on the rum (it tastes exactly like Malibu if you like that). Overall had a good time and would go back, staff was friendly despite it being busy.

A friend of mine suggested this spot for a mid-morning breakfast, and I hadn't been here in years…read moreso I agreed. I read that their parking lot fills up quickly but that there's a public lot across the street, so I parked there and crossed over. This cozy restaurant was fairly busy and we perused the pastry case while waiting in line, lots of tempting treats. My friend ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes which are topped with blueberries. A lot of their menu items have pork in it, but they were good about substituting. The burrito usually has schreiners chorizo, hash browns, cheddar, sunny egg and chili oil with side of salsa verde. I asked for avocado instead of the chorizo. We brought our own drinks so didn't order any. We grabbed a table on their patio since the sun wasn't over our heads yet. It's nice out there and I think they have some fans going to keep the air flowing, and there was also a natural breeze. Our food came out and they were plated beautifully. My burrito looked good, but it had too much hashbrowns and also there wasn't any chili oil, which was a bummer. Maybe they normally put it on the chorizo so they forgot to add it to my avocado. The egg was runny which I like: The salsa verde was delicious; I love cilantro and it had great flavors. I tried the pancakes and they were fairly rich but I liked the tart lemon flavor and the blueberries, one of my favorite fruits. This is a nice place to meet up (small groups) and I'm glad I visited again.

It has plenty of room, a clean modern feel, and a steady crowd of people working on laptops, so it's a good spot if you want to settle in for a bit. Food options are pretty limited, and with the background music and lobby energy, it's not the quietest coffee shop in town - digital nomads beware. Still, it's comfortable, useful, and easy to like for what it is: a roomy urban coffee spot that works well for coffee, laptop time, or a casual meet-up.

Let me start off by saying my coffee latte was excellent.. 5/5. I ordered the Sweet Treat latte and it was delicious but sadly I won't be back. I walked in and sat at a bar where the barista was making drinks. I watched as she made drinks, cleaned, did everything except greet or acknowledge me! After giving it some time, I said to her excuse me do you have a menu and she goes menu is over there. I then responded it would have been nice if you said something to me and she responded oh the bar is closed to that I responded well this is my first time here and I didn't know that but maybe if you would have said something to me. Anyway, I clearly was irritated and if I didn't have the passport for the free drink, I would have left. I had every intention of buying a pastry or something else and sitting in the shop and enjoying my morning but she rubbed me the wrong way! How hard is it to welcome someone, ask if they need help instead of ME having to get her attention when the place was empty. I wish I got her name. I found her rude and won't be returning. Save your money! Support local businesses that are welcoming.

I was specifically interested in their piercings (Side note, I asked if Xolo Tacos is also owned by them, but it isn't). I visited for the first time on a Sunday afternoon, just missing the late morning rush, so I had ample options to choose from regarding seating (there's couches, tables, stools)! As a first-timer who loves specialty coffees, I inquired about which drink might be the sweetest and best suited to my tastes, and through shared decision-making, we decided on the Azucar Morena! It's comprised of brown sugar and molasses, which satisfied my taste buds and coffee fix. There wasn't a wifi password sign anywhere, but upon inquiry, I received it and proceeded to chill for an hour or so before closing. I loved that they kept the door open to let in more natural lighting and fresh outside air on that serene Sunday afternoon. Overall highly recommend this coffee shop for delicious, unique specialty coffees. I can't wait to return to try more, including the pistachio espesso and cafe de olla! Or I might even stick to my azucar morena that I loved so much

The theme is (as one might suspect) songbirds and the entire Cafe is decorated with small songbird items. As a detail oriented person, I was in heaven noticing all the cute decorations. I ordered the matcha latte and it did not disappoint. My friend ordered an iced americano. Both are classic items and they delivered well. There is plenty of seating inside and outside (weather permitting) and it seems like it would be a peaceful place to study or work. The baristas were sweet and patient and helpful with the menu.

Apparently the shop sources coffees and teas from local businesses. For example, coffees = Infusion Coffee Roasters in Tempe, loose leaf teas and chai = Maya Tea Company in Tucson, kombucha = Milly Moon Kombucha in Phoenix, and breakfast burritos = Lua Lua Catering. [Parking]: Mostly metered parking and I ended up parking few blocks away from the shop (plenty of metered parking spots near the intersection of E McKinley St & N 5th St). [Atmosphere]: Inside of this historic house, the wall features the work of local artists. The shop also has a cute outdoor patio area with tables. [Menu]: Apparently Matcha Latte is one of the more popular drinks here. The shop offers 12 black tea options, 9 green tea options, 8 herbal tea options, 4 white tea options, and 3 oolong tea options. *** Matcha Latte (16 oz, iced - $6.25): I was surprised that my drink was sugar free by default and I probably say yes when the staff had asked about adding sweetener. The drink was not as creamy as I thought and it was honestly a fairly mediocre drink. The drink also came with a paper straw. *** A great spot for a casual 1st date due to great vibe, but matcha latte just didn't hit the spot.

Hands down the best ube latte around - and this was my third visit in one month, which says a lot!…read more I originally found this spot on TikTok, and it's quickly become one of my favorite coffee shops in Phoenix. The ube latte is what pulled me in, and I haven't been able to order anything else since! It's consistently fantastic: smooth and balanced, not overly sweet, with rich coffee flavor, earthy ube, and just the right touch of sweetness from the condensed milk. If you're an ube fan, this drink alone is worth the trip. The shop itself is also part of the charm. It's tucked inside a small old house, so it's easy to miss - but once you're inside, it feels cozy and intentional. Even better, it doubles as a vintage shop, so you can browse unique antiques while waiting for your coffee, which makes the experience feel more like a leisurely stop than a quick caffeine run! Last time I was there I found a cute cactus bottle opener :) Service has been friendly and consistent every visit as well, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming. This is the kind of place you end up craving between visits - and I already can't wait to come back!

My friend ordered their Ube Matcha and said that it was delicious, but the flavor was a little overpowering and she couldn't really taste the matcha. Their drinks are pretty reasonably priced compared to other matches in the area. The shop itself is small, but they have cute outdoor seating and a small antique store for you to shop around in. This is one of my regular spots, and I recommended to everyone!
