a slice of crepe cake on a plate

The durian mille cake was delicious here. Very fresh and not overpowering. Check out IG: @ooi.eats for your next foodie adventure!

6 inch durian Mille Crepe cake

Ordered a durian 6 inch Mille Crepe over the telephone for a special occasion but it was quite difficult if you do not speak Chinese. The person who answered the call spoke very little English. I wanted to personalize the cake by adding a nickname on it but was instructed to text what I wanted written at the number I called. After ordering, I immediately texted what I wanted written on the cake. Sounds simple enough right? Well anyway the day I picked up the cake and opened the box, nothing was written on it. Apart from that, the cake itself was very delicious. There were huge chunks of durian seeping out through the layers of the cake which tasted sooooo good. If you are a durian fanatic, definitely check this place out. It is a tad pricey but durian is always expensive so take it or leave it. I will probably go back but will probably have to go into the store myself and order the cake right there on the spot to avoid mishaps for future special occasions.

Okay, so I tried this shop out of the request from people so that I may provide my opinion on it, so here it goes. First of all, I think it is not worth it to eat durian desserts from here. Not because they taste bad, their taste is actually okay (well I only tried the durian crepe cake), but the price their charge for their durian desserts just makes me think that it is not worth it. I believe you can find many durian desserts from around the city for better price (even though I know durian desserts can sometimes be difficult to find) But for example, you can go to TNT and buy the durian mochi, if your point is just that you like durian, this place wouldn't taste much better than supermarket desserts. I believe if they lowered their price down, for example like $7.50 for a durian crepe cake, then I would recommend, But A durian crepe cake is like $12 dollars which is more than $13 dollars after tax, it's not worth it. So go eat your durian desserts elsewhere.

Durian Custard - So much heavier than it looks!

Walking in the small takeout shop, my durian-hating partner didn't find the smell overly offensive...but when I got home and opened up my small, 3"x4" plastic Tupperware box of Durian Custard, it was a different story. He ran to open the window, while I ran to get a spoon to shovel the delicious layers of large chunks of durian and creamy custard (described as a "sauce", and said to be made with no raw eggs), with a top layer of crepe. $12 is definitely not cheap, but a pretty tasty treat...as long as you like durian! Tip: The sales lady spoke a bit of English and understands Cantonese, but main language is Mandarin. The menu on the chalkboard now includes English.

I love DURIAN... they are very expensive but people still come I guess its that GOOD! I had their durian milkshake and durian pancakes they are amazinggggg. You can actually taste the real durian. If i am not mistaken I think they use frozen durian to make all their products. Anyhow, we all enjoy it. However, its very pricey hence why we dont come often.

Gotta update my reviiiiewwww! Well, I pre-ordered a durian crepe cake on a Thursday, for pickup on the following Sunday, the person on the phone said sure, but leave me the details by text at this number, so that's what I did. The days after that, I never got a reply to my messages, but I figured maybe they didn't write in English very well, maybe on Sunday they'd text back for pickup information, but they never did. Finally, on the day I came to pick up the cake, they said they never received an order for any cake, and had no idea who I was. Luckily for me (and them), they did have a cake ready, and could decorate it for me and have it ready in a few minutes, so I wasn't too mad. As far as the cake goes, it was super delicious! I can't complain about the quality whatsoever. Lots of durian and fresh cream; it was just fantastic. Just wanted to put this out there for anyone thinking of ordering a cake in advance. Make sure (if you don't speak chinese) to call them back after making the order, because they'll invariably ask you to text them details. Make sure they confirm the order, at least a couple of times, because if this happens to you too, they might just not have a cake ready for you!

Food is delicious, price is a little hefty. I had emailed them (missdurian@hotmail.com) to order a cake for my partner's birthday. I had quite a few questions and Kelly was quite responsive to my emails (she responds within a couple of hours). I ultimately ordered an 8 inch Durian Crepe cake. I had ordered it for a pickup at their store, but on the day of, they had sent me a text letting me know that they had to change my pick up location to a house in east end Markham! I was so distraught because I needed to grab the cake from the west end and then head back to Mississauga. I informed Kelly of this situation and she promptly let me know she could arrange to have me pick up at a store that was a couple down from hers. The cake itself was delicious (for all those durian lovers). Majority of the cake comprised of durian and there was little to no cream in it. Even relatives from Hong Kong loved it! On a separate occasion, I had gone in to get a durian ice cream ($6) and that was quite creamy. It was probably also made out of durian! Quite good for special occasions, if you're not afraid to hand over $$.

First Impressions =============== Looked cozy and the durian smell was pretty strong once you walk in. The staff or possibly owner was very nice, she offered to dress up the cake a bit as it was for a birthday. Food ===== We purchased the durian crepe cake. And it was packed with chunks of durian fruit. The durian tasted fresh, the crepe was good and so was the cream filling. The overall taste of the cake was delicious for durian lovers xD. Would I come back? ================= Yes definitely would come back. The price of the cake to me, was at a price tier where in my head I was expecting a cake that looked better. We were a little dissapointed with the look and packaging but the taste of it made up for it. The most important part was that everyone couldn't get enough of the durian cake at home :)

Durian Ice Cream Cake, Durian Souffle (TERRIBLE) and Durian Mille Crepe (bad)
    Elina B.

I got the durian: ice cream cake, souffle and mille crepe all for $27. Was it worth it? uh No. Out of the 3, only the ice cream cake had a few chunks of durian and some flavour. The mille crepe was basically just cream and you could totally get some more flavour from other places nowadays. The souffle was SO BAD, I'm not sure why they even called it souffle because it was pure sponge cake; it was so dry and the only durian you get is a spoonful at the top. I would never come here again.

The $10 dollar cupcake that topped with some rough tapioca
    Eva C.

Never tried their durian product since I m not a fan of it, however, they still have a menu to sell non-durian product. I ordered the tapioca cake and it costs me literally $10 dollar. I wanted to see how special it is. It was a pretty bad experience when my friend opened the cake since I got it for her birthday. However, it ended up I was so disappointed. The cake is only a well-packaged cupcake topped with some tapioca. They put some random cream inside the cupcake. The cupcake that you can get it for $2 Max at other Chinese bakery store and they charged me for $10. I can literally make it at home too. The other products of the store are pretty pricy too. Most of them is above $10.

Although a little bit expensive, but it worth it! So many durian in the cake!!!!!!!! So yummy! If you love durian, you must try!

Bought the durian crepe cake and my entire family loved it. Huge chunks of durian in the cake and it's worth the price. Durian lovers need to try this cake!

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!
