Dessert
Tiff E.

The desserts are adorable looking, sweet but not too sweet, could be very filling if you eat too much lol. Service was good, but had to wait for a little bit while they hand craft the drinks and ice cream mochi. The shop was a bit tiny if you choose to sit inside to eat. Overall a cute shop!

We visited this past weekend during the promotion for Savorology's Second Anniversary Celebration. The mochi bubble and millie crêpes were discounted by 50%. We got one of each of the flavours of the Mochi Bubble (Coconut Latte, Durian, Bubble Tea, Taro Salted Egg Yolk, Oreo Chocolate and Chestnut Matcha) and a slice each of Earl Grey and Matcha Mille Crêpes. We were informed that the mochi bubble should be taken out of the fridge 1-2 hours prior to consuming. The mochi were large, softy, pillowy and delicious. The cream in the mochi was light and so tasty. I haven't had that many mochi to compare these to but the bubble tea mochi was superb. The flavour was exactly like bubble tea. I don't recall tasting chestnut in the matcha mochi but the matcha flavour definitely shone through. For those that had the durian mochi they said that the flavour was subtle and it wasn't as intense as eating the fruit. I was very pleased with the mille crêpes. I've been to another shop (in the GTA) and the millie crêpes was subpar. Now I know where to go whenever I get a craving for millie crêpes. The layers of cream between the crepes were thin and flavoured. The earl grey flavour wasn't as pronounced as the matcha one though.

Got surprised with a Durian Cake for my birthday and it did not disappoint. I've tried soo many durian flavoured cakes in TOP and this one tops them all! From how it looks (like a durian) to how it tastes (like a durian bomb) it was delicious from beginning to end. The shell was like a meringue, with sponge cake and durian cream/mousse. I still think about this cake from time to time and can't wait to have it again. The cake was ordered online through their store and delivered to our place - in one piece :) If you love durian please get this cake!

Amazing little patisserie/bakery in Scarborough! Drove here 2 weekends in a row because I couldn't get enough and almost spent $200 on just desserts in 7 days because I'm crazy. It was worth it though! The desserts are super unique and the mochis are the best I've ever had. They're about palm sized, super soft, fluffy and filled with whatever filling you chose (and not pumped full of whipped cream like most places). They run a slightly steep price, approximately $12 for 2. The durian cake is crazy! Looks insane, like a real durian and has durian purée, soft and fluffy cake and the flavours went wild. It impressed my entire family at the table, they couldn't get over how realistic it looked! It was about $75-80 and advertised that it could feed 6 people but it fed more than that! The mochi cake in a boxes are one of my fave. They're super soft and the mochi texture is amazing (peep the mochi pull!). I really love the sea salt flavour one and can't wait to see what else they come out with in the future. Hate driving in this area because crazies but def would come back just for this!

I tried the milk tea mochi bubble and I loved it! The flavour and texture were perfect and it's a pretty good deal for 2 considering the size. This place can be easily missed, located in an understated plaza but definitely worth it. They also often have deals on Uber Eats.

I only gave them a two-star because I felt bad giving a one star. I got a black sesame mille cake. The cream was fatty, didnt taste even a lil sweet and didn't have a black sesame taste. Also the size was very small for $10. They had other items there that very overpriced. They had a whipped cream with crushed Oreos and a little bit of salt and they're selling it for $14 ‍ I wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend it until they increase the taste and lower the price.

Great cake/dessert shop in Scarborough! We ordered ahead through their website, and pick up was quick and easy. We tried the tropical dance cake and it was delicious. Love the mango and passionfruit flavours and the sweetness is just right. Can't wait to try all the other desserts they have like the cake boxes and mochi! Prices are a bit on the higher side in our opinion, but worth the price for special occasions. Will be back for more!

Black Forest Cake (6 inch)

Ordered the 6 inch Black Forest Cake which came out to $55 incl tax. It comes with candles. The cake tasted good - light and not too cholatey with Cherry in between and good amount of whipped creme frosting. However, i don't think the price justified the size, design, or the rather plain packaging. I prob won't be back, too many bakeries at this price point and calibre to warrant a return.

We came to this bakery for their grand opening special for 50% off. This bakery specializes in mochis, mille crepe cakes and other cakes. They have some pretty unique asian flavors including salted egg. Service: We got in early so things moved quickly - seems to be run by a family of 3. When we left though, things got packed. Everyone was nice and doing their best as it was grand opening. Food: We tried the durian mochi which had a nice durian flavor but not overpowering. The mochi skin itself is soft but has a nice chew and flavor. The salted egg yolk and taro mochi was also quick good though I wish it had just a bit more salted egg flavor as it felt somewhat muted against the taro. We also tried the coconut taro mille crepe. Loved the many thin layers of crepe and the flavor was on point for taro and coconut. Price: Of course, we got it 50% off but regular price can be expensive. On the other hand, the quality is good and some of the flavors are quite unique. Will have to go again to try more items.

This place was cute and cozy. The mochi was so soft and chewy gelato was creamy and delicious! It's quite pricy but will return when craving durian gelato again!

Really good mochi. I've had some of their cakes which are light and fluffy. But I really love their mochi balls. They are sticky, chewy, and the flavors are really strong. I've had Durian Bubble, Bubble Tea, Salted Egg Yolk Taro Bubble, and Matcha Chesnut Bubble. All were good but my favorite is the durian. A bit expensive since it's $11.50 for 2 or $22 for 4. But I think it's worth it. A bit far from me but I will for sure drop by if I'm in the area.

Cathy S.

Too bad they don't sell slices of cake. I really wanted to try the durian cake:( anyway so, if you like mochi you need to visit this place! They have variety of flavours like the boba tea and durian flavor, it's so yummy!!

We were there on Boxing Day at about 10:15am. There was a limited selection of savoury and meat filled Chinese buns at that hour. Baked Char Sui bao, Cheese, Ham, Sausage buns. The fresh cream bun was added at this time. If you wanted Taro or Custard filled buns or Egg Tarts, there were none on the shelves. There was a posted board outside the bakery offering "buy 6, no tax and receive one egg tart". I bought six buns and received a small HK milk tea, which was fine instead of an egg tart. The buns filling and dough texture was so-so imo, when I compare it to buns available at Markham Chinese bakeries. However, it filled our need while we lined up at another store on the day.

I was there overhearing that they will be having their grand opening soon. You can find your classic buns here like sausage bun, pineapple bun and char siu bun. But they also have specialty buns like fried chicken sandwiches, garlic cheese sausage buns and more. Buns are fairly priced here as well in my opinion with fried chicken sandwiches being less than $4. They also sell whole cakes and slices of cakes which looks really good. Interior of the bakery is beautiful and newly renovated. It's brightly lit and super clean inside. The one cashier cashing me out was friendly and chatty which I enjoyed. Telling me that VIP cards will be available once grand opening happens, but didn't know the exact date of their grand opening yet. Make sure to check out these affordable and tasty buns!

Their designs are abundant on the website and they really get the design to a tee, it was PERFECT. Flavour selection is pretty good and I did have a short call with them while ordering on their site to determine which flavour was recommended as well as what colours I wanted the cake design to emphasize. I had to check Google reviews to confirm instructions on their location, but when I got to the Langham Square plaza it was easy enough to find based on their address (unit number 2006). Staff gave clear instructions at pick up to keep the cake in the floor of the car during transport and to store the cake in a fridge until ready to eat. The box for transport was great because I got to check the design easily before leaving and the ribbon was tightly wrapped to secure the box cover to the base. The staff speak Mandarin as well as English. Payment was all done online beforehand. Highly recommend ordering their cakes for any event!

A small neighbourhood bakery, nothing to do with Tokyo…read more We were waiting for our lunch order in the same plaza when we spotted this bakery. Went in and found it is a regular Chinese bakery. (Should have checked on yelp first as several others mentioned this in the past.) It's a small bakery, with wear and tear showing its age, but still had a number of offerings. We got six buns (not pictured) including red bean pineapple bun, pork bun, luncheon meat with egg buns, curry beef bun, and hotdog bun. We also got two cakes, chocolate and red bean&white chocolate cake. Total came to under $30. When we got in (around 2:45pm), the lady was on lunch break on the phone. We were already waiting up at the cash, trying to tell her our cake order but she was still on the phone for a while longer. She bagged the buns while on the phone. The cakes were not bad, the chocolate cake being a bit too dark for my daughter's liking. We enjoyed the lighter red bean and white chocolate cake. She did tape the cakes down in the box but they still ended up rolling around anyway, I guess from our drive/handling.

Nothing to do with Japanese bakeries at all, so keep that in mind coming to pick up treats. Due to their niche, most of their cakes are light, airy and not too sweet. No heavy flavors here. We tried a selection of their single cakes and shared one of their sponge cakes. The standout of the bunch was the coffee or the chocolate cake. Both are still mousse-based but has a stronger flavor. Great price at only around $3 each! Perfect with a cup of tea for an afternoon snack.

Visited this cute little Filipino bake shop nestled in shops at don mills…read more They sell Filipino sweet treats and baked goods. Pandesal, cake slices, coffee, cookies, cheesecakes, and a small select option of savoury food as well. For baked goods I walked out with: - Ube cheesecake: it was moist, Ube packed flavour with a hint of creaminess from the cheese. Enjoyed it. And read good reviews about it prior to ordering it so that's why I chose it :) - Ube crinkle cookies: a basic Ube crinkle cookie, not too sweet (which is great) and powdered with sugar on the outside. Ube flavour is mild not too overpowering, moist and fluffy cookie. Would recommend as well! - Spicy chicken empanada- buttery crust, soft and falls apart because the crust is so buttery!! Stuffing was generous, chicken flavourful but I didn't find the inside spicy. One is enough for one sitting. I would like to try other flavours as well. Service - friendly. Fast. Efficient. $$- I would say some of the items are quite pricey for what you get e.g. turon for $5, cake + coffee slice for $10-12, I think that I've found other bakeries to be a little more cost friendly. But assuming because this one is more franchised, Perhaps why prices are higher (?) Would overall recommend this place especially if you'd like to share Filipino sweets culture/food. They do sell cakes and party platters of desserts which is also a bonus. Would recommend to try!
