We were there on Boxing Day at about 10:15am. There was a limited selection of savoury and meat filled Chinese buns at that hour. Baked Char Sui bao, Cheese, Ham, Sausage buns. The fresh cream bun was added at this time. If you wanted Taro or Custard filled buns or Egg Tarts, there were none on the shelves. There was a posted board outside the bakery offering "buy 6, no tax and receive one egg tart". I bought six buns and received a small HK milk tea, which was fine instead of an egg tart. The buns filling and dough texture was so-so imo, when I compare it to buns available at Markham Chinese bakeries. However, it filled our need while we lined up at another store on the day.

I was there overhearing that they will be having their grand opening soon. You can find your classic buns here like sausage bun, pineapple bun and char siu bun. But they also have specialty buns like fried chicken sandwiches, garlic cheese sausage buns and more. Buns are fairly priced here as well in my opinion with fried chicken sandwiches being less than $4. They also sell whole cakes and slices of cakes which looks really good. Interior of the bakery is beautiful and newly renovated. It's brightly lit and super clean inside. The one cashier cashing me out was friendly and chatty which I enjoyed. Telling me that VIP cards will be available once grand opening happens, but didn't know the exact date of their grand opening yet. Make sure to check out these affordable and tasty buns!

Their designs are abundant on the website and they really get the design to a tee, it was PERFECT. Flavour selection is pretty good and I did have a short call with them while ordering on their site to determine which flavour was recommended as well as what colours I wanted the cake design to emphasize. I had to check Google reviews to confirm instructions on their location, but when I got to the Langham Square plaza it was easy enough to find based on their address (unit number 2006). Staff gave clear instructions at pick up to keep the cake in the floor of the car during transport and to store the cake in a fridge until ready to eat. The box for transport was great because I got to check the design easily before leaving and the ribbon was tightly wrapped to secure the box cover to the base. The staff speak Mandarin as well as English. Payment was all done online beforehand. Highly recommend ordering their cakes for any event!

A small neighbourhood bakery, nothing to do with Tokyo…read more We were waiting for our lunch order in the same plaza when we spotted this bakery. Went in and found it is a regular Chinese bakery. (Should have checked on yelp first as several others mentioned this in the past.) It's a small bakery, with wear and tear showing its age, but still had a number of offerings. We got six buns (not pictured) including red bean pineapple bun, pork bun, luncheon meat with egg buns, curry beef bun, and hotdog bun. We also got two cakes, chocolate and red bean&white chocolate cake. Total came to under $30. When we got in (around 2:45pm), the lady was on lunch break on the phone. We were already waiting up at the cash, trying to tell her our cake order but she was still on the phone for a while longer. She bagged the buns while on the phone. The cakes were not bad, the chocolate cake being a bit too dark for my daughter's liking. We enjoyed the lighter red bean and white chocolate cake. She did tape the cakes down in the box but they still ended up rolling around anyway, I guess from our drive/handling.

I was looking for a cheesecake for a birthday celebration since I know they love New York style…read morecheesecake but I wanted something a bit more special and not from a grocery store. Found this spot and they had a good selection mid afternoon to pick up on a Sunday. The person at the counter is super helpful in helping describe how the cake may taste. They have basque cheesecake which is richer and the flavour I'm sure the person I'm gifting would confidently enjoy but I wasn't sure if they would prefer the lightness of their popular japanese options over the classic NY cheesecake. She explained the glazed popular cheesecakes they have aren't regular New York style cheese cake (despite their Uber Eats describing it as such for their Yakult flavour cheese cake). It's more like cheesecake mousse. I didn't want to get the basque cheesecake because it didn't look as nice. So she said the black sesame is in between the classic basque / New York cheesecake and the popular glazed mousse cheesecake. It's also made of marscapone and layered with matcha and not too sweet. It's also her fav so I went with her recommendation. I notice the black sesame cake isn't shown as available on Uber Eats delivery. I decided to pick up in person to make sure the delivery goes smoothly. The price difference is just $1. However, Uber Eats does charge tax and other fees whereas there's no tax at all on pick up. I eventually tried a piece and it does taste like a hybrid cheesecake in texture though the middle thin layer is a bit soggy, though I didn't mind that part. However, even though I love matcha I'm not a fan of the matcha and black sesame combination. I think I would've like an intense black sesame middle layer. The matcha layer is more intense creating an imbalance and over powers the black sesame flavour in the cake. Still a tasty cake especially for someone that prefers lighter not too sweet cakes. Note the staff does hand you the payment and there's a tip option of 10% as the lowest suggested option, which I found kinda excessive for just putting a cake in the box. They don't even make cakes at this location. It's all made in the Sauga location and she didn't even write the happy birthday on the cake. I know it's optional but it's just the consumer experience, I tipped but I feel like the tipping culture is a bit excessive to pass onto the consumer to tip on an expensive cake. Just price the cake fairly to compensate the employee or waive for pick ups and have it for only dine-ins. Unlike the previous review, it seems like they do provide a little free happy birthday topper and also a complimentary skinny candle and you're also welcome to buy extra candles if you want. They also sell some $10~ decorative helium balloons to make your celebration a bit more festive. This is their second location. The main one being in Sauga, which I've been told has been in operation for over 25 years apparently. This one I was told was opened in the last 2 years.
