(Late post) so happy we stumbled upon this place and tasted their mango pockets and a slice of mango crepe cake in August! Their mango pockets were filled with fresh cream and sweet, juicy mangoes. My husband is a big mango fan and vouched that these were the best he ever had. We thought the mango crepe cake was okay... In summary, we were pretty blown away by the mango pockets so we'll definitely return for some more

I'm so happy I finally got around to trying Mango Like Desserts, as it has been on my list for quite some time. It was initially the downtown location that had caught my eye, but I was content to find out that Scarborough also had a location so I headed there as it was more accessible for me. Not going to lie, as I pulled up into the area, I was very skeptical... I felt like I had entered a very sketchy area that was abandoned, up until I looked to my left to see their nicely displayed sign. The shop is extremely small, hence only one person/party allowed inside at a time. You'll be happy to know that they do infact have an online ordering system if you want to order ahead for pickup to avoid the wait, since it does take about 10-15 mins for them to whip up your goods. Service was friendly though! I ordered the MANGONADA SUPREME, without any real knowledge of what it is, besides the fact that they're well-known for this item. However, their menu does have a very thorough description that matches what you get to a tee! This was definitely a unique item for me... An acquired taste, as it was literally sweet, spicy, salty, and sour, all at the same time! Also quite pricey in my opinion, but the drink was hefty to hold and had a lot of fun components to it. Worth a try and definitely a photo! The other thing I ordered were the MANGO POCKETS, which I couldn't resist as it's a familiar dessert I love. The mango chunks were of a firmer variety, but not sour at all. The overall dessert had the perfect level of sweetness to it. If you're looking for an added treat, they're also selling cookies from a brand named "Ida's Cookies" too. Personally didn't try them but they appear to be shortbread cookies of varying flavors and colors.

Visited several weeks ago with my gf on a rainy day since we had seen pictures on social media and were in the area. Location is in a small plaza that sort of makes you question if you're at the right location until you see their sign. Small shop that realistically fits two people, you're met with the smile of who I presume is the owner of the shop. She was friendly and recommended several items after we mentioned it was our first time visiting. We ended up picking the Mango Fruta Picada since we love mangos and the dish seemed pretty interesting since it was a different spin on mangos. The mangos are drenched in a chili based sauce in a cup with a sprinkle of chili powder and a couple of mint leaves on top. I can definitely see how this dish would appeal to people that love mangos, but personally I was not a huge fan. Perhaps it was the unripened mango pieces we received or the steep price we paid that took away from the enioyment of the dish, I'm still glad we were able to give this place a chance. I would honestly say that if you loved mangos,o you should give this place a try since the large variety of items on the menu will almost guarantee you a mango dish you'll love. Just be prepared for steep prices.

Mange crepe dessert was ok. Mango was not really sweet. Staff was friendly. Located inside Upper Canada mall.

Fyi look for Ida's cookies store front - mango like is located in there as well! We got to meet Ida and tried her shortbread cookies and macaron. WOW would definitely buy shortbread from her. Now to the main desserts. It did not disappoint. The mango was so fresh and sweet even in December, I am impressed. Got the rainbow pockets - mango and strawberry were on point! And they gave so many mango chunks.... The best. The blueberry wasn't what I imagined. I thought it would be the same consistency but realized it was a crumble cake inside. I wouldn't have that again just because I like a fluffy pocket instead! Also got the mango mille cake. Soooooo good! Must have. Overall this is my place to go when I crave mangos all year round. So impressed by the quality.

Loving the quality of these desserts. I have to say this is the sketchiest plaza ever and you can tell it's their warehouse storefront location but as long as I can get the same great desserts uptown why not? :) I am allergic to mango so this is a weird place for me to try but they have many non mango options too! My fiancé is not allergic to mango so I got the rainbow pocket I said it was okay to have it in there but I didn't know they would put mango purée on the side touching my strawberry one :( good thing I'm not like anaphylactic but I thought they would separate the mango one from the others :( I had to cut around the places where the mango purée touched but other than that I was fine ha. The food was ready pretty fast and was well packed. They only gave us one knife given that I was not touching the mango it would've been nice to have two knives but I can't put that against them :) The cookies were a bit unique tasting for my liking, not a huge fan of shortbread but they were nice texture and my family enjoyed them. I personally found there to be a strong smell associated with the cookies that I could not quite pinpoint? Maybe it was the key lime cookie? Honestly I don't think I would buy the cookies again but would 10000% come back for the other desserts :) Definitely check them out!!

The plaza's kind of sketchy, especially at night and it's fairly easy to miss the entrance but it's all worth it!! We got the Mango Fruta Picata duo which came with the drink and the sliced mango. The flavours were incredible--they were sour, sweet and spicy. However, I did find the sliced mango to be a bit bland at the top and waited about an hour or so for it to marinate. Personally, I wouldn't get the duo again because they're flavoured the same and I would jus opt for whichever I'm feeling more. The drink would be really really nice on a hot summer's day, especially if you diy add some booze to it and the sliced mangos make for a great appetizer. The service was incredible; the lady working there was so nice and sweet and she brought out our order to the car! Also their ringtone is mango--so cute!!! Definitely will return to try their other desserts!

Finally tried this place after many months of having it on my "to do" list! I was pleasantly surprised that the drinks didn't taste too artificial or "yogurty". It was super tasty but a tad bit expensive at $10+ per drink.

It was hard to find at night. The plaza has no lights except for Mango Like Desserts. ( I am glad I read a review about the location. Thank you.) The sign I saw was Ida's cookies but it's the same place. After I found it, I was surprised how big the dessert I got. I ordered the Rainbow Warhol pockets. It's so beautiful I did not want to eat it. The staff made it fresh and it was delicious. The price was reasonable since it is high end dessert. I would get it again. Strongly recommended.

I always see Americans posting this dessert and I always wanted to try! This is the "Mango Fruta Picada (Chopped Mangos + Chilli-Mango Lollipop)" It's a mix of spicy/sour and sweet! So delicious and I definitely recommend cause you can't go wrong with mango.

When they had the BOGO deal on acai bowls, I tried all the flavors with the exception of the peanut butter. Looks small at first but trust me, it is plenty! Almost difficult to finish near the end. Tasty especially the bites with the honey. Small place, meant mainly for take out but has about 4 stool/ counter top seating.

I take it without yogurt, so it ends up being lactose-free and I still get the oat beverage to get the cream part. I remembered this store on Markham Road, just south of 14th Avenue. It's next to Kung Fu Tea, near the Shoppers Drug Mart that serves as one of the anchors of this plaza. I decided to check it out. I came here after work last Wednesday. I had no problem finding a parking spot at around 8 pm. I backed into a spot and walked over. There was a male customer talking with the lone female staffer. He was having problem scanning his receipt with the Booster Juice app. I'm assuming that he was trying to get points credited to his account. It seemed like quite a straightforward task, but it was challenging for him. I probably waited a good five minutes before this woman came over to me. I'm patient. No biggie. I ordered the orange 'n' cream without yogurt. She said, almost out of protest and disgust, that my drink would be thinner. Um, I know. I said that I always order it this way. I got my rewards QR code scanned from the Booster Juice app to get points. I then paid with a debit card. Done! Well, my drink took a good ten minutes to prepare. It seemed extensive. I saw her trying to squeeze oranges with more force than necessary. Were they frozen?! It seemed too labour-intensive. I almost wanted to try making this drink at home in my blender that pulverizes everything effortlessly and try to forget this image of her painfully making my drink. I finally got my drink. I thanked her. I got a paper straw and left the store. I then sipped my drink as I drove home after a long day. I loved this drink. It tasted so good. It was like a creamsicle, but in a drinkable format. I still crave it so much. It's awesome. I hope it never comes off the menu. This drink comes in a single size. It's easy to order. However, part of me wants an entire vat of this stuff. I like the Warden-Highway 7 location better. This one requires a longer wait for my lone drink. A bit of judgment on making a drink lactose-free was odd. (465)

KALE BOOST TEA - 9.99 + normal ice + light sugar + jasmine green tea + with chia seed I was hesitant to order this drink because paying for a vegetable-based tea sounded questionable, but my cousin insisted it was refreshing. Surprisingly, there was none of the bitterness I expected from kale, and it paired really well with the jasmine green tea. I loved the chia seeds topping, and hopefully it will help with my bowel movements after all the heavy foods I've been eating this past week. My cousin ordered the limited tiramisu milk tea, which HEYTEA is currently offering in collaboration with Pop Mart. We expected it to be fun, but it ended up being fun AND genuinely good. The coffee notes blended nicely with the milk tea, and it wasn't overly sweet or heavy. Overall, this was a solid stop, and I'm glad I got to enjoy something light and refreshing after stuffing myself with dim sum nearby.

They use the highest quality organic fruits and vegetables and are most famous for their cold-pressed juices. Instead of getting a cold-pressed juice, I decided to get one of their açai bowls. Here's my rundown: Food There were three açai bowls to choose from - classic, beauty, and soul. I got the beauty açai bowl which had the açai, avocado, coconut oil, and almond milk blend topped with bananas, granola, coconut flakes and fresh strawberries. The açai blend was smooth and rich in flavour while the fresh fruit and oats made for great flavours and textures. It was a very refreshing treat to get and had the perfect balance between all ingredients. Atmosphere Can't really comment on the atmosphere here because the store is quite small and has minimal seating. There were about 4 high chairs to sit but it's more meant to be used while you're waiting for your drinks or bowls. It's small like most downtown cafés and this place is more so for those grab and go type of people. Service Service was really friendly and the employee was helpful in helping me make a decision about the type of bowl to get. No complaints here; they were really inviting and patient with my indecisiveness. Price I paid $10 for the açai bowl! A little pricy but you're paying for quality organic food here so it's worth every dollar. Verdict Refresh is indeed a refreshing experience has they use only the finest organic fruits to make their products. I'm excited to return here to try their juices and other açai bowls. Definitely worth a try if you're roaming around downtown Guelph. A well-deserved 5/5 experience!
