This shop has been such a staple inside new Kennedy center! We usually come for their fresh sugar cane juice (comes in variety of sizes) and their egg waffles, which are made fresh once you order. The egg waffles are not overly sweet like most other places and have a nice crunchy exterior. They also make a very good green juice featuring five types of greens including bell pepper, bitter melon, cucumber, green apple, and celery. There is a slight wait time for the waffles but worth it.

Large sugarcane juice was $6 including tax. It was quite big. It had no ice & was concentrated. This is the best sugarcane juice option I've found in the GTA.

This place is absolutely fantastic. I visit this place to get their sugar cane juice whenever I get the chance. They make the juices in front of you and they do an excellent job with the quality and freshness. The workers are very friendly and kind and the service is great. I highly recommend this place!

I was searching for fresh Sugarcane Juice and saw this place popped up and decided to give it a try. All I can say is, this is now my go to place for some fresh squeezed Sugarcane Juice

You know what the problem with childhood memories are sometimes? They lie to you. You used to love something and then you go back to it 20 years later and realize...oh my god, what changed? Well, I'll tell you what's changed at Sunlight. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This little shop in a quiet Asian plaza is the epitome of mom and pop shop. And I'm not exaggerating, this has been here for at least 20 or so years. As a kid, my grandpa used to take me to the indoor playground/arcade that was across Sunlight. I used to have the time of my life and then order a nice cup of sugar cane juice. I loved watching them chop up the fresh sugar cane stalks and squeeze them through the metallic pressing machine. The playground and arcade are long gone, but this is still one of the only places hand-pressing fresh sugar cane to release its liquid goodness. No added sugar, water, or other ingredients. They've got all types of fruit juices made the same fresh way. Yes, that means it'll take a little while because everything is done by hand, in front of your eyes. Don't come here if you're in a hurry and looking for a frozen, ready-to-go "fruit beverage". They also produce the egg waffles that spawned my love affair with egg waffles. Crispy edges are the best thing in the world. Personally, I don't understand the ice cream + egg waffle craze. The ice cream just makes the waffle soggy, cold, and overwhelms the delicate sweetness of regular egg waffles. One of my saddest moments was seeing people line up an hour for that abominable creation when literally right there in the same plaza, was this amazing egg waffle producer with not a single customer. Even though the plaza's crowd has died down over the years and competition is popping up, Sunlight is a survivor. I may not be a kid anymore, but it's still giving me great memories. Shine bright, Sunlight! Here's to at least another 20 years of serving fresh juice and wondrous waffles! (8/100) - 2017

Sugarcane Juices - 5/5. Delicious, but served at room temperature. My favourite blend is the grapefruit+sugarcane juice. Service is slower - but considering there are only 1 or 2 people working and they are fresh pressing the sugarcane infront of you - it's understandable. Just don't arrive in a rush. Bubble Egg Waffle - 3/5. Maybe I'm coming in on off-days, but the few times I have ordered the waffle, it was dry and crunchy throughout. I prefer a crispy outside and fluffy interior - the waffle here was almost cracker/biscuit-like. I wish I liked Sunlight's waffle more but I prefer Woofles&Cream (in the same food court).

Love the egg waffles here! Nowhere else can compare. So crispy and fresh with enough egg taste. Authentic HK style for sure. Probably the best in Toronto. Mom and pop place. The fresh juices are really good too especially the sugar cane juice! My fave snack and juice place literally!

The best bubble waffle in the city! This is the only place I go for bubble. We ordered two bubble waffle for $6. The owner doesn't smile a lot though.

Lots of place make these "egg waffle", so what makes this place so special? It is LITERALLY in the little things. They cut little holes in their paper bags to help air it after, and before they put it in, they first fanned it to "crisp it up". They do it regardless of how many people are waiting. No one complains because people understood that what's make it so good. THAT'S what make theirs best in the city. Oh, how can I forget the really good sugar cane drinks they have. They spend time shaving the cane (something I don't see other places do), so no need to do second or third pass with the cane. Simply pure...mmmm...wish I'm still in the area so that I can get another....

Happy to find a place that has fresh sugar cane juice made on the spot. Sugar cane wasn't fully ripe, but still sweet.

Since it was my first time using the app, I also received a few coupons, including 25% off a single drink. KALE BOOST TEA - 9.99 + normal ice + light sugar + jasmine green tea + with chia seed I was hesitant to order this drink because paying for a vegetable-based tea sounded questionable, but my cousin insisted it was refreshing. Surprisingly, there was none of the bitterness I expected from kale, and it paired really well with the jasmine green tea. I loved the chia seeds topping, and hopefully it will help with my bowel movements after all the heavy foods I've been eating this past week. My cousin ordered the limited tiramisu milk tea, which HEYTEA is currently offering in collaboration with Pop Mart. We expected it to be fun, but it ended up being fun AND genuinely good. The coffee notes blended nicely with the milk tea, and it wasn't overly sweet or heavy. Overall, this was a solid stop, and I'm glad I got to enjoy something light and refreshing after stuffing myself with dim sum nearby.

I've been to this location before but I didn't remember my past experiences so I revisited on Canada Day with my gf. MANGO DIAMOND SLUSH BRO lol. Got it with zero sugar cuz summer means mangoes are in season and super sweet. Service was fast. Used the ordering kiosk, waited maybe 5 min and boom drink was ready on the counter. Genuinely surprised at the low aggregate rating for this place. Maybe it's a bunch of old scores from when this place was new? Staff seemed very efficient and courteous as well.

It took a little while before we could even place our orders and even longer before they were prepared. This is by no means a complaint or criticism of the lone worker. She was doing her best, and quite an amazing job of taking orders, making them, and handling cash, all by herself! Kudos! There was a lot going on but she didn't appear stressed, although there were a couple of minor mistakes with our order. That can easily be forgiven, with all the stuff she had going on. Great job! I take it without yogurt, so it ends up being lactose-free and I still get the oat beverage to get the cream part. I remembered this store on Markham Road, just south of 14th Avenue. It's next to Kung Fu Tea, near the Shoppers Drug Mart that serves as one of the anchors of this plaza. I decided to check it out. I came here after work last Wednesday. I had no problem finding a parking spot at around 8 pm. I backed into a spot and walked over. There was a male customer talking with the lone female staffer. He was having problem scanning his receipt with the Booster Juice app. I'm assuming that he was trying to get points credited to his account. It seemed like quite a straightforward task, but it was challenging for him. I probably waited a good five minutes before this woman came over to me. I'm patient. No biggie. I ordered the orange 'n' cream without yogurt. She said, almost out of protest and disgust, that my drink would be thinner. Um, I know. I said that I always order it this way. I got my rewards QR code scanned from the Booster Juice app to get points. I then paid with a debit card. Done! Well, my drink took a good ten minutes to prepare. It seemed extensive. I saw her trying to squeeze oranges with more force than necessary. Were they frozen?! It seemed too labour-intensive. I almost wanted to try making this drink at home in my blender that pulverizes everything effortlessly and try to forget this image of her painfully making my drink. I finally got my drink. I thanked her. I got a paper straw and left the store. I then sipped my drink as I drove home after a long day. I loved this drink. It tasted so good. It was like a creamsicle, but in a drinkable format. I still crave it so much. It's awesome. I hope it never comes off the menu. This drink comes in a single size. It's easy to order. However, part of me wants an entire vat of this stuff. I like the Warden-Highway 7 location better. This one requires a longer wait for my lone drink. A bit of judgment on making a drink lactose-free was odd. (465)

Dim Sum A Juice Ltd is one option that is selling frozen dim sum, which can be reheated (steamed or pan fried) at home for a modified dim sum experience at home. Pricing is very good - if you offer from the smaller dim sum list ("b" list, although there is nothing B-list about it). If you order from the Small Dim Sum list (B list), Siu Mai and har gow are well price at 50 pieces for $25. While the selection is not as varied as what you would get in a restaurant there are enough staples here to satisfy the itch. Taste wise - my little one liked their Cha Siu Bao, and the larger har gow, their mini sticky rice dumpling are pretty good. But my favorite item is their shrimp & chive cake, which I pan fried. For better flavour, Do NOT microwave, it won't taste as good. I would recommend steaming anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes for most items. Ordering was easy. The contact is responsive when contacting on WhatsApp and following up if your order has items not in stock. Paying - they accept electronic transfer only. Delivery - if your order is $100 and up - they offer complimentary contactless delivery if you are in within their delivery boundaries.
