This is an okay bubble tea spot with a decent selection of drinks on the menu. The beverages are fine overall, but nothing particularly special. The interior feels overly bright and a bit plain, almost more like a workshop than a cozy bubble tea shop, so the atmosphere lacks much vibe. This was a busy location. Currently, they have the Brown Sugar bubble tea and daily specials as well. I like the Brown Sugar Bubble tea so much, and my husband likes the Honeydew Jasmine tea. Both hitting our favorites. There were only two staff working there only. People were lining up, but I could tell they both work as fast as they could. Since I had waited for a while and 3 numbers after me had picked up her drinks, something off the hook. After the staff tried resetting their machine, they informed me that it's not working and the drink was on the house. Super sweet gesture! I'm a frequent customer of theirs so I really appreciated the free drink on the house. Decided to sit in at this location for a bit to enjoy my drink while killing some time and realized it was really nicely renovated. I say this is not the best location in Markham. You might as well head up to Buroak. They often get drunk orders wrong. Rushing because they're busy or behind in orders, and give you messy drinks. The mobile order at this location is like nothing. They don't even punch it in until you're there so what's the point? I often get my drink made last as they finish up all other orders. Look at my last experience here, loose seal and the staff just gave me a lid. Not even napkin or offer to remake as a good amount spilled. ** Review of the limited time dragon fruit drinks ** I saw the dragon fruit drinks on social media and the drinks are so pretty and Insta-worthy that I just had to get them! I learned from the store that the vibrant pink colour is all-natural and it comes from the red dragon fruits (Pitaya) that Coco imported straight from Taiwan. They currently have 2 flavours available so I decided to try them both. I personally prefer the Passion Dragon Fruit Smoothie more because of the extra fruityness of the passionfruit, but I was not a big fan of the seeds inside. The Dragon Fruit Yogurt with Fresh Orange is also a great drink to try if you enjoy more yogurty drinks as I think this one is mixed with kefir. OMG, this Coco Tea location at Peachtree Plaza is much more spacious than the other ones I've been to in North York, Finch/Midland and Richmond Hill. I think I'm gonna make this my go-to from now on lol. It was not busy on this early Tuesday afternoon; just a few people here studying and chillaxing. The service is fast, and the lady at the cashier is friendly and courteous. It is Coco's 22nd anniversary this year on April 26, 2019, and they have been promoting amazing deals throughout this month leading up to the special day. CoCo is one of my favourite bubble tea places to get my fix. This CoCo location has been around for at least a couple of years. I tend to avoid hitting New Kennedy Square, which isn't exactly new. It tends to be ridiculously busy with many indecisive drivers who cannot park for beans. I have probably been here once after Hy & Zel's went away. Yes, it has been that long ago when this entire area once had at least one non-Asian store. Since I was still on vacation, I thought that I'd drop by. Yes, the plaza was still busy, but parking wasn't too bad. I backed into a spot and walked over. CoCo's sign indicates that it's the largest bubble tea chain in the world. I learned something new today! I walked in and was promptly greeted. I decided to use my free drink voucher that I got on Boxing Day. I immediately noticed that the music was extremely loud. My hearing tends to be pretty good. However, I had this fine exchange with the woman at the counter. "I would like a strawberry black tea," I said. "Blah, blah, blah?" she asked me. "I'm sorry?" I asked. "Blah, blah, blah?" she asked again. "What?" I asked again, over the horribly loud music. "What ice level?" she asked. "Ah! A little bit of ice and no sugar," I replied. "Blah, blah, blah?" she asked. Oh, no. "Pardon me?" I asked. "Want any extras?" she asked me. "Coconut jelly," I said. What an ordeal! How about tone down the music so that an order can be audibly placed? Moments later, the helpful staff member had a question for me. "Did you want a macchiato?" she asked me. "A strawberry black tea," I replied. Strawberry black tea under loud music becomes a macchiato. Interesting! Considering that she got most of my order correct, I am pleased that I could still be heard. There was no one sitting at this place at 12:30 pm on a Wednesday. I wouldn't want to casually sip my drink here and not hear anything but loud, pounding music. Don't get me wrong. I love music and concerts. I don't expect such loud music at a bubble tea place in the middle of the day, though. My order was ready quickly. I was pleased. I took my drink and left. I've always seen CoCo as a fallback but now it's my to to. There's a lot of them throughout the GTA and even in the US. You always kind of know what you're getting. What I've found lately is that CoCo is pretty darn consistent in offering boba with great texture and and flavour. Coupled with the fact that you can order in advance online so you can quickly grab and go...they're just the best. This plaza is a little messy in terms of parking but luckily the CoCo is one of the exterior shops so you can just pull over and pick up pretty fast. Now that it's come to markham, and the january promo is $3.50 drinks, how can I say no? The two drinks on promo right now are not disgusting ones that nobody wants, like how most bubble tea places put on their promo. *Achem* chatime and their tea of the months... Matcha milk tea with red bean and 2 ladies (how laughable was it that we asked for "two 2 ladies please") Upon walking in, it was delightfully empty but a pretty large seating area for a bubble tea shop, which was great. The order process was quick and the drinks did not take too long although it's weird how they don't really call out #'s consistently. I was so confused because there were 3-4 drinks there, but they were unclaimed because no # was called. Disappointed. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!! I ordered a strawberry latte for my sister and a taro milk tea for myself so this review is solely on my own drink experience. I watched the worker make my taro milk tea, where I saw her press a button for the sugar, then scooped taro powder, added water, ice, shook the shaker a few times, and then poured the contents into my cup. I was a bit weirded out as I didn't see any tea being poured in as I order this drink often and there's always tea in it. This place always have super long lines but they move fairly quickly. I would say their prices are slightly lower than other by chains and their selection is pretty decent. When it was our turn, we ordered a lemon yakult and a wintermelon tea with grass jelly. The wintermelon tea with grass jelly could only be made with regular sugar. We ordered the yakult with 50% sugar and regular ice. Suddenly, the cashier cleared the order and decided to reenter. He entered lemon yakult with regular sugar and 50% ice. He completely forgot our order within seconds. We had to remind him that it's the other way around. The lemon yakult was pretty good. It's basically a yogurt drink with a sour lemon taste. The wintermelon tea with grass jelly was extremely sweet. It was like drinking syrup. Not too sure why they couldn't make it less sweet as they could simply add some water... I was disappointed the first time I went to CoCo in Toronto, only because my expectations were so high. I had tried CoCo for the very first time in Taiwan and that was one of the best bubble teas in my experience. The fruit was fresh and had actual bits of shaved apple and passionfruit in it. But, this was not translated well in the Toronto branch. The tapioca had started off soft and the juice was nothing to write home about. This time, I went hesitantly. I tried the grapefruit one, on the recommendation of a friend, and was pleasantly surprised. They had used a real grapefruit to make the juice, and the tapioca wasn't half bad. Coco seem to always have tapioca made to my liking, which is soft and chewy, not dense and hard. I don't really like their cup sizes/ design as much as their previous. That being said, I quite enjoy their original and their matcha red bean. There's a slight bitter matcha taste to it at no sugar, but the drink on its own is on the sweeter side. Located inside the Peachtree (New Kennedy square plaza). This is the only bubble tea shop in the area, not too many other competitions. Their monthly specials are fairly cheap. They offer roasted milk tea with pearl for $4.2 (large) which is a good deal. I love roasted milk tea; nice rich flavour, way better than the regular tea. They also have milk tea with sago for the month of May ($3.8 for large); not too fond of this drink. Overall it's a decent place for bubble tea cravings. read more

While this franchise is really good for their Hamilton location because there really isn't much there to be choosy but in Markham there are too many competitions that I give this a 3 stars because their black milk tea is made with milk powder. I find that unacceptable and I understand it's much cheaper compared to condensed milk from a can. It tastes good but really nothing special. The location is good with spacious sit in area but finding parking may be challenging on weekends with the busy plaza and neighbouring restaurants. CoCo is a franchise chain that's all over the metropolitan areas of China. The first one broke into the Canadian market a few years ago, and more have been steadily popping up since. In China, CoCo is a popular and local favourite known for using premium ingredients in their drinks and food menu items (food items are not available in Toronto). I have never really been a big fan of Bubble Milk Teas, but the kids really wanted one, so I caved. The kids ordered mango with Lychee jelly, and super large cup at that. The Lychee jelly did not disappoint, sweet, firm, and exactly as expected. The pieces were small enough that they could easily be sucked up through the over-sized straw. 4 stars. The drink itself though was watery and while it did have mango flavouring, it wasn't much. As time went on and the ice melted, the flavour kept getting weaker. Quite disappointing. 1 star. As I said before, I'm not a fan of the drink in general, and this experience did not help. 1 star. My kids were not that impressed with it either, and said it was OK. 3 stars. Mostly a milky taste, though the consistency was not that creamy. Still definitely an interesting take on your standard bubble tea and worth a try. I definitely like Chatime more. Things that we like here: 1. They are always having some kinds of promotion here. Last month they have five large specialty drinks for $3.50. This month they have a promotion for macha latte, chocolate bubble tea (which taste really bad because chocolate doesn't goes well with bubble tea). 2. Staff here are ver polite and nice. 3. When we order less ice, they give us less ice for the drink. Our only complaints are: 1. Drinks here runs kinda sweet. We normally order 70% sugar here (equivalent to other bubble tea place 100% sugar). 2. They are always running out of tapioca. We came here for at least 10 times, at least 5 times they don't have tapioca there. It takes at least 15 - 20 minutes wait time for them to make a new batch of tapioca. 3. I hate driving into this plaza because it's always crowded and hard to find parking so location wise, it's not a favourite. But if you're already in the area grabbing food it's convenient to walk over. I was disappointed with the efficiency of staff members. There were three people on staff and their operations were disorganized. There was a huge line and the third person in the back didn't help to serve or make drinks.
