Located at a very convenient intersection however finding parking might be a bit challenging at times as the parking lot isn't as big. I usually order via the app however it wouldn't work when I tried to use a free drink voucher and do an upgrade from regular to large so I had to order in person. When I tried to use my gift card to pay for the upgrade and the toppings, they had a bit of an issue with the system. It took some time for them to take my payment. We came to get the BT21 Kosmos drink. There were a lot of parking spots available on a weekday afternoon. During non-covid times it's a pretty busy plaza with so many bubble tea shops and restaurants congregated within this small area. Other than drinks there's sweets offered as well. There were a few cookies lined up by the cash register (peanut mochi, red velvet and salted egg). In the display case there's various flavours of macarons and Basque cheesecakes as well as individual slices of Japanese cheesecake, tiramisu and twice baked cheese tarts. Even though there were a few customers that had ordered ahead of us we got our drinks fairly quickly. You may have to remind the staff to give you a purple pocket if you order 2 of the BT21 drinks. It's interesting that on the promotional poster for the drink it's marketed as a large sized drink for $6.80 but when ordering they asked what size I wanted. Just an FYI that on the receipt it shows as $6.20 for the drink plus $0.60 for the large and you'll only get the BT21 cup in a large. Once shaken the drink is so pretty, it shimmers. My rating is 3.5 stars. I'm rounding down. As of late, I have had a huge craving for bubble tea. I cycle between CoCo, Kung Fu, and Chatime these days. I have been drinking more chocolate milk-based beverages, too. Recently, I saw two friends share a photo of their hazelnut chocolate milk tea beverage from Chatime. Friend influence is real. I wanted one badly. On my way home from various errands two Saturdays ago, I dropped by this Chatime in Scarborough to satisfy my craving. I have never had any problems parking in this huge plaza with tons of eateries and more. I backed into a spot and walked in. There were roughly six people in front of me at around 5:40 pm. I was a bit surprised, as this store has been here for a while and I typically don't expect a huge bubble tea rush at this hour. When I got to the counter, I placed my order. I got a large hazelnut chocolate milk tea, with no sugar and a bit of ice. I skipped getting any toppings. I was in this store for twenty minutes. There were three people on staff. Perhaps there was an abundance of takeout orders, but the wait seemed unusually long. This Chatime does Vicinity rewards. I entered my phone number and got credited for my purchase. This Chatime also offers Bake Code desserts. One of these days, I will try the twice-baked cheese tarts. I thanked the woman when I got my drink. She handed me a purple straw and I happily walked out the door. She was nice to ask whether I needed a bag. I typically pass on bags at bubble tea places. I typically have one on hand if I do need one. I had my drink when I got home. It was so good. It's like Nutella in liquid form. So good. I drank it too fast, though. So gone! I was absolutely parched in the morning and needed to be revived by something fruity. When I walked in it was bumping minus all the people. Loud music, cool lights. It was actually pretty cool. Worst cha time location I've ever been to. This is the 3rd and probably the last time I will go to this location even though it's the closest and most convenient for me. Drinks are always bland and kind of tasteless from this store, like the Genmaicha I got today. This is my go to drink at chatime and usually has a fragrant roasted rice flavor, today it just tastes like a bland plain milk tea. Even the texture of the tapioca is off, maybe they're old? One of N&G's friends, E, thinks Chatime is a piece of shit bubble tea brand. Considering E's history of suspect opinions, N&G decided to judge for themselves. We ordered the Sakura Sweatheart because the mixture of the sakura pink and the matcha green looked very pretty. History repeated itself as N struck the straw before mixing the drink. But, this resulted in the perfect gram. As per tradition, G took the first sip. He liked the strawberry taste of it, it was refreshing but he felt that the matcha was too powdery and overpowered the delightful fruity flavour. N had no idea what G was talking about, she thought it tasted fruity, with a refreshing rosewater aftertaste and she liked the texture of the sago. What G didnt know was that N diabolically designed this tradition so G would act as a human filter which is why he got the powdered sip and N got the good stuff. But, karma came for N as she progressed with her sips, she too tasted the disgusting powder texture of the matcha. This Chatime is PACKED (or perhaps it is because I came on a Saturday afternoon). The lineups were nearly out the door for this Chatime, and we waited nearly 15 to 20 minutes to order. The drinks area is a little small, so it's probably hard to staff more people to help out. The person who was at the front was really nice. I found it amusing that they had to handle these lineup orders as well as those that people order online? (I wasn't sure what the mechanism was, but I know she was tapping orders for a remote order). The main reason for going to Chatime is really just because you can find them almost anywhere. The bubble tea itself will satisfy your cravings, but their drinks are pretty hit or miss when it comes to trying new things. Once you find drinks that you enjoy, however, you'll find yourself coming back often. The prices are similar to any other bubble tea spot, all within the $4.5-6 range. This price range is consistent over their various drinks, including lattes, qq juices, slush drinks, milk tea, etc. This location in specific, is usually busy & cluttered. As there isn't that much seating or room, you won't always find yourself a seat or even feel comfortable staying there. When it isn't busy though, it's a nice place to do your work. Also, there is a Coco & The Alley literally walking distance away. I've been to other Chatime locations that have sample drinks & ample seating, which provided a better experience. Although I am a bigger fan of The Alley, when it comes to fruity drinks Chatime is normally the place to go. Today I tried one of the drinks from their spring launch, the playful passion fruit strawberry. In this case, it was pretty disappointing. There wasn't much of a strawberry taste, but more of a passion fruit green tea. It also has a bitter after taste, that if you wish to avoid you should add extra sugar. It was also $5.10 for a regular, not worth it. My normal favourites are the pearl milk tea, which is rich & dense in milk tea flavour, as well as the qq grapefruit juice. Usually there's 2-3 people in line before me Brown Sugar Milk Pudding Tea ($4.70R) - Pudding is very muted in flavour so you can't get sick of it. Tastes like egg flan or something of the sort. The milk tea has a more delicious warm taste to it. It's very comforting. However ask for "no ice" because when I ask for "less ice" it still filled up one quarter of the drink. Okay, I can definitely say that I have tried better bubble tea elsewhere. I came here a few times and the drinks and service seem to be the exact same each visit. I have tried their mango slush with tapioca, honeydew slush and lychee stardust drink (a new drink that sparkles). The mango slush with tapioca is okay, not the best but not horrible. I felt like it was a bit too iced up, however I was still able to finish it. The honeydew slush was SO bad! My friend personally got that drink, I decided to try it and oh boy, did I feel bad for him. During my last visit I tried the lychee stardust which I loved! However, you can't have too much of that drink. The service was okay, I felt like the male who was helping us and giving us suggestions then cashed us out was really kind and attentive. However, there was this one girl who was not that kind. Also, we were given options of the lychee stardust, peach swirl and the passionfruit. I ordered the lychee drink and my cousin ordered the passionfruit. She was then told after she paid and waited for about 5 minutes that the powder was done. I come here pretty often when I'm in the area. This location is pretty convienent and the service is friendly and relatively fast. The lineups do get pretty long at peak times though. I also love that they are super accommodating when it comes to sweetness, tapioca and ice levels. There's not much seating available at this location so it wouldn't be a good place to go especially with a large group if you want to stay a while. I usually get the Jasmine Green Milk tea (either with or without tapioca - both are my fav). Not many places have the Jasmine Green Milk tea as their bubble tea option which is why I particularly like this bubble tea chain. A solid location for Chatime! I frequently come to this plaza because the holy trinity of bubble teas are all here: chatime, alley, and coco. If I'm in the mood for chatime, this location never fails to disappoint :) Store wise, this location is a little small for how busy it gets. Whenever I come, there's a line snaking through the store and almost out the door. There is seating for customers but I feel very cramped whenever I come in. My friend ordered the Roasted Milk Tea with Grass Jelly and I had a sip of it and right off the bat, the "roasted" tea flavour was not all there. Wasn't it just 3 or so years ago when Chatime was only in Downtown? The reviews I'm seeing here are saying how this Chatime has the least lineups out of all the branches in the GTA. Either business has significantly picked up, or they didn't go on a weekend...cause the lineup was out the door last night at around 10pm! As well, since this Chatime is smaller than the other branches it made finding a seat and even walking in the store difficult. The waiting area for your order was also not set up well, as you would be standing in front of a table where a group would likely be sitting to have their meals. In terms of the drinks themselves, they were about par with the other locations, although my hazelnut chocolate milk tea had quite a bit of chocolate syrup sunk to the bottom. A shake up and down after and everything was good. This branch also has the largest supply of baked goods out of the branches I frequent. I had two extreme chocolate muffins, and they were actually quite good! I would visit here if I'm in the same plaza for dinner and whatnot. However, I would certainly not go out of my way just to come here. read more

I love love love their mousse drinks! My favourite one is their Matcha mousse. Definitely best made with less to no ice because the mousse topping sticks to the ice when the drink is finished. Also, the mousse itself has some sweetness to it, so I always ask for less or no sugar in my drink. I've only tried their pearl (tapioca) and coffee jelly toppings. Their tapioca is very good; just the right texture. I found the coffee jelly to have a nice, sweet, coffee flavour, but a bit on the hard side. Our drinks were made in a decent amount of time even though there was a line. Out of all the Chatime locations I've been to, this one's the most quiet and has less wait time. Interior decor is pretty nice, everything is white, bright, and purple. They also have a mini showcase of food (donuts, cronuts, etc), but from my visits, it's not always fully stacked. I've visited Chatime many times in the past, but it was only yesterday that I got my own Chatime rewards card because they don't really ask if you'd like to join or if you have one. Tldr: Great bbt and juice options, this location is small and can get cramped Chatime is probably one of my favourite places to go for bbt. So many options for milk teas, juices, slushes, and the choice to customize toppings. I usually get the grass jelly roasted milk tea, jasmine green milk tea, oolong milk tea, or if i'm feeling juice i'll get the QQ grapefruit or QQ passionfruit. What i love about the QQ series is that you get your choice of juice with tapioca AND jelly under one flat price (such value friends!) Less ice, half sugar is my usualy go to, but i'll opt for less sugar when i feel like i already had enough sugar for that day (no diabetes pls). When this location gets busy (usually at night-time), the line is massive. Since there's not much space in between the tables that they set up, it feels like i'm at a night market when i'm waiting. Aside from that, the staff are pretty polite, and over the years i think the service has been more speedy. I think it really depends on the amount of staff working. I drink a lot of Chatime myself, and I found this location isn't the best Chatime location. I still get it here once and a while when I'm in the area, but mostly I am at the Gibson location. The reason for this is because the drinks taste like it is watered down, so the flavour isn't really there. On top of that this location always have a really long line up, around 10 pm. Another downside of this location is they make their drinks really slowly, sometimes I get impatient and just go to coco in the next plaza.
