The drink was not coming with Tapiocas, but I really wanted it, then added to my drink, it was a bit pricey, since a lot of other Coco offered special drinks less than $5/cup, I still wanted it. This is probably one of the best Coco of all the Coco I have been and maybe even the #1 location in Markham. They are fast and efficient at churning out orders and has good friendly customer service :) See a line? Don't let it deter you. They get through the long line super fast. Now that things have opened up, you can now sit in as there is a cool section with tables and seats. One of my favourite drink is still 2 Ladies :) This location is so popular, they sometimes run out of the flavours. Sugar level still taste high so go for less sugar or no sugar. Parking lot is kind of busy so just park further if needed as there is tons of parking. Also this location is convenient to travel by public transit. read more

Better bang for ur buck. Tried the mango pomelo drink saigo. In no way does it taste like "yeung Ji gum lo". It's super sweet. There's no Pamelo, it's grapefruit. Very little bits of mango. The saigo was the only good thing it's chewy almost like tiny version of boba. Overall this drink was such a fail, it's so super sweet and has artificial mango taste. So definitely a nice spot to chill, do some work or bring kids - Staff are nice, knows Cantonese and Mandarin Drinks - Pretty standard compared to other chain locations - Menu outlines their top popular drinks with the usual selection on ice/sugar level representation - What I like about Coco is their take on monthly/seasonal/limited time drinks I tried their Brown Sugar Drink for the month, which is pretty much similar to popular drink at a certain competitor BBT chain. The staff made this drink in 2 minutes, a lot faster than I expected. Fixed ratios of ice and sugar and it was in a large size for about $4 (pretty sweet deal!). The drink itself, however was a bit mediocre. The milk tea flavour was strong, but it was difficult mixing it with the brown sugar at the bottom. Combining the two was alright, didn't have a similar caramel hit to it like the competitor. Tapioca is their usual ones, which is not infused or prepped separately. Overall uniqueness is lacking a bit, but for the price, size and quickness, I think it's not bad. Whether I would try again might be a different question. read more

Recently came here for the 2018 Coco Day, which you can buy any drink and get a free drink coupon to use at a large time. The line was quite long with over 10 people in front of me when I came in, but it only took 10mins to line up, so the people here are quite well trained to be efficient at making drinks. I have been to Coco many times at different locations, and despite the large crowd on Coco Day, this location was able to maintain the consistent quality for the Milk Tea and Banana Pudding Smoothie that I ordered. The shop isn't very big, but they do have 2-3 tables for seating and some boardgames around. One thing that bugs me about this location is that they don't have the entire menu on the screen behind the counter, but instead only a select few of their most popular drinks. You can however see the entire menu on a paper when you get to the cashier, but that is not an efficient ordering process at all. read more

The drinks are great. I quite like how they have games there. I got the lemon Yakut but I'm not a fan at all maybe because I didn't get any sugar... I don't like how if you don't finish your drink within 30 mins the tapioca will start to taste like it's a day old... I quite enjoy coco's milk tea it's just the right amount of tea and milk. Their cups and straws seem to be better quality. I looked at their strawberry beverages and I'd like to try them but then again I'm scared since I hate places that serves strawberry flavour drinks and it tastes so fake. read more

After we placed our order at the counter, our drinks came out pretty quickly. There were other customers waiting for their drinks too. The large size of the 3 Guys really was indeed large! The 3 Guys drink tasted strongly of milk tea. At first sip, I liked the Winter Mellow Juice with Grass Jelly. It was refreshing. However, I found that after a while, the winter melon juice was very sweet for my taste. I think next time I need to ask for less sugar. Worst customer service ever. The drink we ordered (Green Tea Yakult) tasted like water, so we went back to the store the moment we took a sip of it in the parking lot. The lady that served us made such a big deal about it when she had to make us a new drink.. your job is to make drinks, so remaking another drink for me cause I'm not satisfied doesn't hurt.. we didn't say anything at this moment. She made our drink and handed it to us.. she goes "if you don't like it next time order something else" in a rude / attitude tone, while at he same time threw my old drink in the garbage right in front of me really hard. We have been there a few times because it's close. However, the Gong Cha in the same plaza offers much better tea and service. This place is definitely designed for take out. The sitting area is crowded and not comfortable at all. All of the tables are directly next to the washroom. Go figure! The service is absolutely terrible. The staff are unfriendly and grumpy despite their fast service. Some have trouble understanding English well. The attract a large crowd because of their frequent promotions, and sometimes there is a really long line up, and even their fast service cannot clear the line fast enough...and there is very little room to wait...it can get really crowded. read more

Coco is one of the best bubble tea joints in Toronto! They have numerous flavours for all kinds of preference. They finally opened a new location close to home (Warden and steeles). The decor+environment is warm and welcoming but there are a limited number of seats. Staff is really nice and greets you right when you walk in. Today we got mango slush and lemon king. Perfect sweetness and fresh mangos used! They currently have a grand opening promotion going on ($3.50 for pudding milk tea or lemon King). It ends sept 25th I believe so get it quick! This location in particular, the staff are all really nice and super efficient. The store's temperature is very cool on a hot summer day and I love it. All the times that I've came, I noticed that there weren't many customers in this store which makes the whole process very quick, however the parking lot seems to be full all the time. My go to drinks are Bubble Gaga (passionfruit green tea with tapioca and coconut jelly), and matcha milk tea with tapioca. They recently launched a new drink called "fresh avocado milk" which is basically an avocado milkshake (the ones you get at a Vietnamese restaurant) AND IT'S FREAKING DELICIOUS. They use those frozen avocado cubes from Costco and blend it with milk I believe. It's very thick and creamy. Their tapioca is also fresh and chewy. Only downside is that the avocado drink is $6.50 before tax and apparently this is the "discounted price" until June 30th and it will go up after that..... That's so expensive omg, especially considering that this is just a franchised bubble tea chain. Please don't do this guyyyys. I love this drink......... read more

This location recently opened a few months back at the Metro Square plaza. Close and convenient COCO serves up a good selection of bubble tea both warm and cold. Thankfully for some reason, I have been getting promotional text messages for their featured tea so it made sense to pay this location a visit. I took advantage of their large promotional tea $3.50 which was worth it. The ambiance is small, cozy and most of all, CLEAN with some seating arrangements for those who wish to hang out. Overall great place. Only downside to this location would be parking as this plaza can be busy during dinner hours anytime of the week. read more

Bright space, interesting light pendants, wooden paneling and tables, bright orange walls, and a large light up logo on their wall make the new Metro Square location of CoCo tea a welcoming space to be in. We came specifically for their grand opening special of a free regular sized pearl milk tea with the purchase of a large sized beverage from their top 8 drinks menu, which I had learned about after receiving a text offer from the Vicinity loyalty card program. We ordered the signature Bubble Gaga as our large beverage. As they are still new and likely ironing out kinks in efficiency, it took between 5-7 minutes before we received our drinks. CoCo's pearl milk tea is creamy and full flavoured, and was just the right sweetness for me at 30% sweetness with less ice. The large Bubble Gaga was very shareable in size, and refreshing in flavour with its passionfruit flavour and generous amounts of tapioca and coconut jelly. I appreciated that it wasn't too sweet but sweet enough at 30% sugar level and less ice. It is really great to have another option for bubble tea in the Metro Square area. I'd probably seek out CoCo for some of their fruitier drinks like mango slush or Bubble Gaga (which in my opinion they seem to do better than their nearest bubble tea competitor). They have interesting drinks here but I picked the wrong thing. I got taro with sago which is supposed to be a popular drink. I got it with 30% sugar and less ice. Big mistake. 30% sugar made the drink bland so go half sugar if you pick this drink. The taro powder tasted fake. The only good thing about the drink was the sago. It had sufficient sugar and was soft. I would go back and try other drinks though. $5.60 for a large. Comparable to chatime. You use the Vicinity card to get points here, same one as chatime. read more

This was probably one of the worst bubble tea customer service experiences I've ever had, and I drink bbt quite regularly. On SEP 8, they posted a text message promotion of Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) of any drink for their Grand Opening special, with an explicit Expiry Date of SEP 18. On SEP 16, GongCha sent a similar text message promo for BOGO on their Milk Foam Black/Green Tea. On SEP 17, when I decided to visit CoCo over GongCha for their Grand Opening BOGO special, they said they were no longer honouring the BOGO promo due to "shortage of inventory", which was complete bullshit, as they still had people lining up, and still making bubble tea. So how does this explain "shortage of inventory"? I asked why they didn't send a new text notifying customers, who may be going out of their way to travel to this location for their special Promo, and they responded that they could only send ONE text message per week. Excuse me, but it's been OVER one week and I did not get any text that you guys are going back on your word for this promo offering. If this is already the Grand Opening special, I don't know how long you are going to last, with this type of sketchy underhanded type of marketing and false advertising. It is a sign of extremely poor customer service and reflects badly on the international CoCo name. Shame on you. read more

My second time to try their bubble tea and am very happy with their taste. My goto shop would be chatime but now I have another alternative. Tried their sago milk tea as it's currently on promo, large for $3.80 (reg $5) and it's delicious. I think I'm addicted to sago. This place is clean and busy. Customer service was alright. Tip: if you are into reward points, the promo drinks do not get you points so just a reminder. read more

I wasn't a fan of Coco, especially after a disappointing experience at their Scarborough location. I'm glad they opened this one here, as I frequent the food court at Metro Square. I decided to go with the standard Pearl Milk Tea with Tapioca and everything was done right. It's a smaller store compared to the other locations with limited seating, however I can definitely see this place getting busy, even with Gong Cha nearby. read more

I have never written a bad review before... having worked in the food industry myself I know the difficulties.. but I've got to say.. NEVER coming to this place again. Extremely poor customer service by the girl making drinks. All I can say is check your receipts...they will charge you for substitutions without telling you even after you've inquired about the cost/substitution. They also made both orders wrong and will charge you to correct it. For me it was a matter of principle.. and poor customer service.. arguing with a customer when you've added a charge without telling them to one of the drink orders and then making them pay an additional 55cents to wait while you correct the entire order because the drink maker didn't even bother to look at the order properly.. seriously.. I can't believe I'm even writing about this.. Worst customer service ever and there are so many other BBT shops in the area.. no wonder this place keeps changing names.. This review is solely about the service I received.. sorry couldn't really tell you about their drinks and food items.. Update: To clarify, 1 of the drinks ordered was a specialty drink which came with 2 toppings; to which the cashier had inquired and agreed to substitute for something else free of charge, but entered incorrectly and ended up over charging. The second drink wasn't entered correctly by the cashier either, but the barista did not check with the cashier and blamed us for the mix up. The manager has responded to me in a timely manner regarding the issue and offered to remedy the situation, however, the offer was not accepted as this complaint was based out of principle and in hopes that their staff would be responsive to the feedback. Coco is definitely one of my favourite major bubble chains. They serve some really good bubble tea. Usually has nice consistency and tapioca that isn't too hard or too soft. They great part about this Coco is that it's located in a not too busy plaza and it is somewhat close to my school so my friends and I can come and chill. What I love is that they have offers pretty often over their text message service and you can snatch some great deals. It is really easy to sign up, just ask for a Coco card at the counter and they'll sign you right up. They have a decent amount of seating, I have never encountered a situation where I couldn't find seats. Probably because the plaza it is in isn't busy. The store is really organized and clean but they only have one bathroom where everyone can see you go in and out which is awkward. Also for their large sizes, the cups are so tall and the straw is just isn't long enough. If the straw is touching the bottom of the cup, you only get a small stub to drink out of. read more

This place is good, but my go to preference is still Cha Time. They have the option of sugar level and ice level, which is great. The tea is very strong and good quality, and I had the black tea with grass jelly. They gave a very generous amount of tea and grass jelly but I find the jelly at Cha time softer and better tasting. There was also a very long line up and limited space, but the price point is great. I have also tried the one with pudding and I liked it a lot. read more
