Milk Tea Smoothie

Coco is one of my favourite bubble tea places! Many delicious choices on the menu and it all tastes good. Their tapioca is always nice and chewy, very consistent. Ordered a milk tea smoothie this time around and I love it!

Large QQ Milk Tea for $4.80 (with new taro tapioca!)

Returned to Coco Tea to try their newly released taro series! To celebrate their 23rd anniversary, they're offering a large QQ Milk Tea with the new taro tapioca balls for $4.80 plus tax during the month of September. I always love Coco because their milk tea is less sweet compared to other competitors like Chatime. I typically order it at 50% sugar (whereas I have to get 30% sugar at Chatime and it'll still be sweeter than Coco) which allows you to taste more of the milk tea flavor and not just be overwhelmed by sweetness. This was a good call for this drink too, as the taro boba is sweet in itself. I'm not a taro-lover but loved these tapiocas! The taro flavor is definitely there, strong enough to taste but not overwhelming. Also, the texture isn't paste-y (something I'm afraid of)! The tapioca was QQ and chewy as you'd hope, delicious. The location was super busy. Lined went out the door, about 5-6 parties waiting outside, and about 4-5 parties inside (either ordering or waiting for their drink). With three staff members working, I'd say they were quite efficient. I got my drink in about 5-7 mins.

Best bubble tea you can get in Richmond hill ... Even though that's not saying so much it's still better then average with pretty good prices. Possibly get 3 sizes then just 2 but all around good!

This is one of 5 new locations through out the GTA. The grand opening weekend was from Oct 26 to Oct 28. This location is located right off of Yonge street. While driving along Yonge, you will see a plaza with Pizza Pizza, Cash Money, National bank and a large Shishlix. While the plaza is on Yonge street, Coco is actually facing Weldrick road. This is a welcome addition to the Yonge street corridor, as the only other bubble tea place is cha time across the street, but in hillsides mall. The workers definitely seemed new, but willing to peace. Will be definitely coming back soon

Finally something a little closer to home! I have been to a few CoCo locations but I am much prefer this location for a few reasons- nicer staff, HUGE space, and duhh closer to home. This time I got the grapefruit Yakult drink (50%- recommended by staffs, and 0 ice). I never would have thought Yakult and grapefruit can be a good pair. The sweet, sour, milky probiotic drink made the bitterness from the grapefruit more mellow, and easier to adapt to it for those who aren't used to the bitterness (me). The grapefruit juice they used are totally squeezed from the fruit itself, you still get some pulps in your drinks which is nice.

CoCo Fresh Tea is one of my favorite bubble tea chains and I'm happy that there's finally one closer to home. It's located near Hillcrest Mall and just across the street from the T&T supermarket. I came here for their grand opening back in October. There was a long line-up and it seemed like the staff were just getting used to making drink orders. I'm sure that things are running more smooth now. I didn't notice any difference in the flavor of the drinks compared to the ones that I've ordered from the Commerce Gate location. My favorite drinks so far are 3 Guys and Lemon King. The interior is clean. There are plenty of tables for you to relax and enjoy your drink.

Spacious and bright store. Even though there was a lineup, the line moved quite fast and we didn't have to wait too long for the drinks to be made. I wanted to try their sago taro milk tea, but opted to get the BOGO grand opening deal instead. The pearl milk tea was not bad, more creamier then I would like it.

Matcha red bean

Now that there's more and more coco locations opening up, it's more convenient to find one nearby. This location opened recently and it's close by to home which is great so I don't have to travel far when I have my cravings. So far, Coco has been my preferred place to grab bubble tea because they never disappoint. I cannot say they are the best I've had, but for the price I am paying and quality, nothing more I can expect! On a Thursday afternoon, I visited this location. Easy to find parking as it is located inside a plaza but not so easy to spot especially where there's construction happening on the roads. The place was fairly quiet with 4-5 guests inside, very spacious inside with multiple of tables spread around the space. There were 4 staff behind the counter, standing around chit-chatting as there's no orders. So, I order a red bean matcha milk tea with less sugar and ice. When I got it, the taste was as per usual. HOWEVER, there was barely any red bean in there ( SEE ATTACHED PIC)! I ordered a large drink and the amount of red bean was less than 10% of the drink! SUPER DISAPPOINTED!! Red bean was nearly gone when I had 1/4 of the drink and half was thru, there wasn't red bean anymore. The proportions were just not right! For sure not coming back to this location!

Love that Coco opened in this plaza! We always crave bubble tea after eating in the nearby restaurants and Coco is our favorite place to go! They have a lot of seating unlike our usual Coco, and their aesthetic is pretty cute! Seems like a nice place to chat with friends or do some work. It's a pretty quiet location so far since it's not in a particularly busy plaza.

They have been putting more ice in my drinks and quality is starting to reduce at this shop. If that wasn't enough they also raised prices

A Yelp event last month introduced me to Hana's Tea. Since this first visit, I have returned twice…read morefor more good eats and bubble tea. I will admit that before discovering Hana's Tea, I rarely visited Richmond Hill for bubble tea. I do now! Two of my visits have been after work on a Tuesday. I came here with a friend on a Thursday. You can park on Yonge Street, but parking is limited. There is parking behind Hana's Tea. The sign said that it was by the church. I did the opposite and parked behind McConaghy Centre and walked over. I got the following items as part of the event experience: - Lychee ade - S'mores cookie - Yuzu lemon and tiramisu macarons I love carbonated, fizzy drinks. The fruity ade line screams me. I got the lychee ade with no sugar. As usual, most folks question my choice to go without sugar. I'm used to it. It works for me. The lychee ade was awesome. There were bits of lychee in my drink, which made this drink naturally sweet. It was cold and refreshing to sip. Pure joy! The s'mores cookie had a huge marshmallow in it. I had to get it. It was divine. The toasted marshmallow was so good. The cookie was moist and had the right amount of chocolate to make it taste like s'mores, minus the graham crackers. I'd get it again. The interior is cute and is perfect for taking photos. I used the washroom during my first visit. The decor was lovely. It was clean. No complaints. I got the tiramisu and yuzu lemon macarons for my intern. It was her last day in the office the next day. I normally like to consume macarons before gifting them. I had a good feeling about them here because the filling was abundant and thick. We have similar tastes in everything, so I felt confident about gifting them to her. I paid with a credit card. It also allowed me to tip. Yay! All three visits consisted of my receiving a small bag of candies that had bubble tea in the centre. The next day, I gave her the macarons after we were discussing a work task that she was wrapping up on Wednesday. She was so excited. She ate both of them in a span of a minute. She had the tiramisu first. She said that it was slightly sweet and amazing. She thought that it was her favourite until she had the yuzu lemon. She said that it had lemon peel that made her love this one more. She is a younger version of me when it comes to food. I returned to Hana's Tea two days later. I joined my friend, Sandy, after work on a Thursday. It was her Yelp experience. I came back as a repeat customer. One of the women remembered me. I let her know that I loved everything that I had on Tuesday. I loved everything so much that I was back to order some more, which made her happy. I got these items: - Chicken gyoza - Peach ade - Yuzu lemon and tiramisu macarons The chicken gyoza were delicious. They were crispy on the outside with a thin wrapper on each one. The dipping sauce was perfect. Each gyoza was packed with chicken that was nicely seasoned. Yummy! I loved my peach ade. I got the same question about whether I was sure about going without any sugar. I was fine. It had small bits of peach that I loved. It also had coconut jelly. A large goes for $7, which is a steal. I finally had the macarons. OMG! The tiramisu tasted just like the dessert, but in compact macaron form. It was a touch sweet, but exceptionally yummy. The lemon peel bits in the yuzu lemon were amazing. It was excellent with the perfect amount of lemon brightness. I recently returned to get more macarons, to celebrate my friend's birthday early, who also happens to be my colleague, He had just returned from Paris. I suggested that he get macarons there. He did and loved them. Yep, I got macarons from Hana's Tea. I was hoping that it wasn't a step down from his Paris experience. It wasn't! I got two of each macaron flavour: - Nutella - Crème brûlée - Yuzu lemon The two female staffers recognized me. Yep, I'm becoming a regular. I also got a strawberry coconut refresher. I got it with no sugar and less ice. The female staffer was trying to get me to add sugar. I said that the strawberry syrup was sweet, as was the coconut jelly. End of story. Staff put my macarons in a box. I also got a paper bag to put everything in. It was a nice touch. I thanked them both and headed to my car to drive home. The following day, my friend and I indulged in macarons throughout the workday. We loved all three flavours. The crème brûlée was exceptional. It tasted like custard. I loved the Nutella macaron, which had Nutella filling. It was awesome! I have found a good place that makes yummy fruity ade, gyoza, and macarons. Staff are helpful and nice. I love everything that I have consumed so far, as have my friends. It's a gem of a spot. I will say that this place promptly closes at 9 pm when my friend and I were here on a Thursday. We chatted right up until 9 pm. We got a polite announcement from a staffer that the place was closing. You have been warned! (361)
