This is my 'local' coco tea! It's the one I come to the most. Location: In Commerce Gate in Markham Parking: Commerce gate parking can be nuts. Some people don't realize that there is also underground parking. You can park underground and pop up Decor: It's a right in right out! There are no chairs just a counter to order. When you go, it's to grab a drink and leave. I like that. There's never a big line up, it's pretty steady. You come grab your drink and leave. The Goods: I've tried quite a few drinks. My favourite is the king lemon. Green tea with a whole lemon in it. I also enjoy the bubble gaga- passion fruit with coconut jelly and tapioca balls. My friend is crazy over the milk teas. Right now they are advertising the creme drinks. I've been trying the creme series which I'm liking too! Watch for pictures! Staff: Everyone is really nice!!

Small CoCo location with no seats. The staff are friendly--they even humored me when I asked to buy a box of tapioca! (It's hard to find large quantities, okay?) The drinks come out at a slow pace though, so prepare to stand around for a bit (although I find most CoCo locations like this). The drinks themselves are pretty consistent with other CoCo locations. We tried the new avocado pudding with milk drink and I've got to say, I was really surprised. It has the very mild avocado flavour and the smoothness, but it tastes like a dessert? The flavour is hard to describe and really unique from what I've tried before--but I quite enjoy it! It's definitely quite filling so maybe on get the avocado drinks if you're feeling hungry or had a small meal.

This location is a very small compared to other locations, no space to sit or stand really. It's more of a location for takeout. It's usually very busy and I always see very long lineups out the door. I was here on a weekday evening and luckily there was a very small lineup. The line moved very quickly and my drink was ready within minutes which really surprised me! There was only 2 people working at that time and clearly they were very efficient!

CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice is one of the four BBT places at Commerce Gate. Talking about competition! Is it ready for competition? CoCo has some good solid drinks that I like and I found their flavour more intense and I do enjoy their more interesting combination of drinks. But this location is definitely at a disadvantage as being a takeout place only. The fact that if they going to offer promotional specials on some of the drinks might help to bring in business as Chatime hardly have any specials. I might pick up something to try at $3.50 for a large. So no Vicinity Points on promotions? I hope the head office would get it straight as it seems to have no standard on royalty program as it really depends on the locations or who is serving you?

Anniversary discount. Buy any drink get one regular pearl milk tea free.

Tea based is very strong and flavourful. I would say CoCo has the best Milk Tea among all the Bubble Tea Chains. We always order the 3-guy (Grass jelly, Tapioca, pudding). The service was pleasant and quick in this location. This location is a take-out only.

I love Coco drinks, but my experience recently has not been great. Pros: - Wait times: Almost every time I've gone, there is usually no line or the drinks are made very quickly. - Parking: As long as you don't go during peak hours, there is usually parking at Commerce Gate. Keep in mind though that the plaza has tons of other desserts or restaurants. - Selection: There is so much selection on the menu from milk teas to fruity drinks to hot beverages. Cons: - Service: I was really disappointed with the service I got the other day. I ordered a Jasmine Milk Tea with Grass Jelly. When the drink came out, it looked all like 2% milk and grass jelly. I was trying not to be a downer and tried it anyway. It tasted like 2% milk and when I had my friends tried it, they also agreed like only 2% milk. I asked the server if she could remake it because Jasmine milk tea has the taste of jasmine but she said no. This is very annoying when you've ordered this before and you know what it tastes like, but it wasn't made correctly. I would say this is not consistent amongst all chains. Drinks I love: - Lemon King: Great refresher if you love lemon drinks! They put a whole lemon inside, it is so refreshing. My favourite drink there. - Bubble Gaga: This one is pretty sweet so I personally get 50%-80% sugar but great if you are craving passion fruit tea with coconut jelly and tapioca. - 3 Guys: Great milk tea option if you are craving for tons of toppings as well. It comes with tapioca, grass jelly and pudding. Overall, I had a bad experience on my part. I will probably just go to other locations instead or another shop instead of this one.

I'm no bubble tea connoisseur, but I absolutely love CoCo and definitely think it's one of the best places to get bubble tea in the GTA. I recently tried this place for the first time when the new location at Commerce Gate opened up, and man have I been missing out. I've tried a few flavours so far, but my favourites would be the Taro Sago and the 3 Guys (Original Milk Tea with Tapioca, Grass Jelly, and Pudding). My drinks are always made fresh and the toppings consistently taste great - unlike most of the other bubble tea places I go to where the tapioca/grass jelly are sometimes a bit off. I also feel like the drinks are a bit sweeter than usual here, so I'd recommend getting less sugar. P.S. I'm an Elite Chatime member, and it has always been my personal favourite when it comes to bubble tea. But ever since I've had CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice, things have changed... I've chosen CoCo over Chatime every time for the past month. I love it here! I wish there were seats/tables inside this location instead of just take out though.

I bought a couple of buns as a customer since then and I'm hooked! Bun Appetit is located at Commerce Gate. It's located closer to Highway 7. It's around the corner from Kinton Ramen, which I have been to a handful of times during the pandemic to pick up good eats. I found a parking spot steps away from Bun Appetit on a Wednesday evening at around 6:15 pm and backed in to it. It's easier to find parking when it's a weekday, in the afternoon. Bun Appetit's breads are naturally fermented for 168 hours. I liked that all buns and breads are gut-friendly and low on the glycemic index. I'm always interested in lower sugar options. I have sampled these items: - Baguette - Whole wheat walnut vegan bun - Lychee bun - Raisin earl grey bun - Oreo chocolate delight bun - Matcha pistachio pretzel - Whole wheat German pretzel - Yeast loaf with Nutella They were all delicious. They were soft and airy. My favourites were the whole wheat walnut vegan bun and the Oreo chocolate delight bun (also known as the messy hands bun). The former had whole walnuts that were so crunchy and fresh. The bread was chewy and soft. The messy hands bun used dark chocolate. It was also fluffy and soft. It lived up to its name. I had messy fingers just eating a morsel! It has 9 g of sugar, which is practically nothing being fermented. I liked how unique the flavours were. I loved the smell of the lychee bun. I wish it had lychee pieces in it. Instead, it was wine-infused and that flavour overpowered everything. I loved the yeast loaf with Nutella as a dessert option. I nearly picked up a loaf after this event was over! As a parting snack, I got the truffle mushroom one. It was the last one. I love mushrooms. It was super delicious with truffle oil, enoki mushrooms, spinach, garlic, and melted cheeses on top. The bun was soft and perfect. It was such a gourmet bun. I have since returned to get more buns: - Strawberry beetroot - Chocolate arancia The strawberry beetroot bun was fluffy. I decided to cut it in half. To my surprise and joy, it had whole strawberries in it. Wow and yay! I love fruit, but I wasn't expecting so much of it in this bun. I loved it. It was naturally sweet from the strawberries. The beetroot wasn't noticeable in flavour. I feel it added colour to the triangular bun more than anything. The chocolate arancia was equally as unique slicing it in half. This bun had candied orange bits in it. It tasted so good with the chocolate morsels on top and the subtle chocolate flavour in the bun itself. It was delicious. I need to return for more. I have found the buns of my dreams, which sounds odd and funny. It's all true! I paid with a credit card. You can register your phone number to collect points towards goodies. I'll be back. (185)

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

We anticipated a chaotic parking situation being familiar with the usually busy Times Square plaza but was very easy to find parking this morning. Beautiful space with modern decor. Always happy to get a booth! We got the chicken and waffle - tender, juicy chicken that's perfectly crispy on the outside. These were served with soft warm waffles and a side of syrup. We got a nice flat white. The braised beef breakfast sandwich was so tasty and went great with the Bernaise sauce (like a deconstructed eggs Benny). Would have preferred the mixed greens on the outside of the sandwich as a side salad rather than in the sandwich. It was served with a decent portion of thick cut home fries, bonus they add yams in the mix! Our first time trying a soufflé pancake. Came with 3 on the plate (not pictured as we started eating before I could take a photo lol). The texture takes some getting used to as it's almost too soft (batter-like) but they were perfectly sweet accompanied by a nice thick chocolate sauce and SMALL pieces of fruit (the banana had a nice sweet crunchy sugary glaze). Wouldve given 5 stars but but the pancake couldve been served with larger pieces of fruit or atleast way more of it. It became more of a garnish than a topping as the fruit were so so soooooo tiny! Overall will be returning to try their soft shell crab options!!

We tried the pork sausage shakshouka, pork jowl eggs benny, and a strawberry matcha latte. The drink was a standout--refreshing, nicely layered, and not overly sweet. The dishes themselves had good flavors and promising concepts. Unfortunately, the experience started off rough. Despite having a reservation, we waited over 30 minutes for a table during the busy Saturday brunch rush, and parking around the plaza was difficult. When the food arrived, the eggs in both the eggs benny and the shakshouka were overcooked, which was disappointing since runny yolks are key to both dishes. Overall, Corner Cafe has a nice vibe and an interesting brunch menu, but the long wait, tough parking, and inconsistent execution made the experience fall short this time.
