They hold against the teeth the way good noodles should. The broth comes through, then the pork, and then the marinated egg with its dark, quiet flavor. It is more authentic than the ramen you buy at the Asian grocer and take home to make yourself. There is something different about a bowl made by someone who knows what the bowl is supposed to be. The room was not what you might imagine when you think of ramen. It was somewhere between a teriyaki place and a sandwich shop. The building was full of businesses and the room belonged to the building. There was nothing wrong with that. A man does not need much from a room when he has a good bowl in front of him. The waitresses understand this. They come by often. They look at the table and see what is needed. Water. Another thing. Anything that is not quite right. They take care of it. That matters. It is a good bowl of ramen, and they take good care of you while you eat it.

I informed her of my phone order and she brought out the food and rang me up for around $55? I was thinking, yikes, that's a steep price for a spicy tofu soup and a lunch special of the galbi and mentioned it to her. She told me that the portion made is not the lunch special and next time, make sure to specify that over the phone if I want the Lunch special or dinner portion. She clarified, while acting out the mannerisms, of customers that would complain about the Lunch special, because they would want a dinner portion instead, so she just places general orders as the dinner portion. (I can already imagine the Karens she must have received for her reaction, which is understandable, but at the time, I was just slightly irritated since I was hoping to pay a cheaper price.) I am assuming after this experience, there is a difference in portion size for the lunch and dinner pricing.. Besides the miscommunication, I can at least say that the food was prepared quickly since it was ready by the time I arrived at the restaurant (about 15 mins after I placed the order?). With the outcast weather, I was craving some soondubu, and Seoul Garden definitely delivered! The tofu portions were generous and the broth was the right amount of spicy where you can taste the flavor but it is not overwhelming. I was not expecting so many complementary sides either! They paired very well with the rice and galbi, which was thoroughly marinated in a delectable glaze. Even though I was initially frustrated that I received the dinner portion, I calmed down after eating the galbi. My son and I actually ended up devouring it.. the food was so good, I totally forgot about the pricing at the moment. Just keep in mind though, this place is not advertised as KBBQ, so you're paying for individual plates/dishes/orders that should already be cooked. I would only recommend this restaurant if there are certain staples you really enjoy (i.e. you're only craving bulgogi but don't want to go out to eat or grill it), because it is arguably just as expensive as KBBQ. But if you're a foodie that can afford it, I'd suggest stopping by to try it out yourself! :)

I love love love Miso! I am all about new food trends and have been living a healthy lifestyle since the beginning of the year. Miso is my guilty pleasure, but no so guilty because it's so healthy. I have never met owners of a business who could be more nice than these people. My only concern is that I love Bulgolgi and I usually order bulgolgi with the wrap and decided to get a bowl since the wraps do get pretty messy to eat depending on the contents you have. With a bowl, I was able to taste the bulgolgi alone and I was not blown away. In fact, it didn't even taste like bulgolgi, a little more like thin strips of pot roast, so I was a little disappointed. However, they do have a variety of "proteins" and I love that they offer brown rice. You can also pile on as many toppings as you want and only the Kimchi is a dollar extra....but it's super delicious. Also, the corn slaw...OH MY GOODNESS! It's probably the most high calorie food, but it's filling with a small portion and adds a creamy texture to the wrap/bowl without having to add extra sauce.....speaking of which, the bimimbop sauce if my favorite! I will always choose to go to this place after my work out and I can't be bothered to cook at home. It's quick, easy, convenient and yummy! I would also love to see nutritional value so I can sub certain items when I need to be a little more strict. read more

Flew in from out of state and saw all the good reviews for Miso, so I thought I'd give it a try. Went in before closing and ordered a burrito. I finally got around to eating it a few hours ago and I've been in the bathroom of my hotel ever since. I didn't eat anything else, so it has to be the culprit. Wonderful place to go for lunch, highly recommended. Stopped in for the first time on Thursday 6/23/16, and was impressed by the food's quality and nutritional benefits. A very healthy place to eat for a wide variety of diets. The employees had a pleasant attitude (greeting me as I came in and thanking me as I left), and accurately made my order with a smile! This has become my new favorite restaurant. I love that I get to choose what my meal looks like- I choose a rice bowl, salad or wrap (it's a Nori wrap!), the meat I want and the toppings I want. If you're a fan of poke you have to give this place a try. I love the nori burrito. They have delicious pre- determined recipes, but you are also encouraged to create what you want! The portions were large. I enjoyed the flavor and combined textures of my meal. I could only eat about a 1/4 of the bowl, and was full. My husband said the bulgogi smelled good, but he only ate a bite and put it aside. He did not care for it, saying it tasted like "fake meat." I asked if he wanted chicken or a different protein option, and he declined. I can see myself trying Miso again. My husband no. But for the restaurant to be completely vacant when I entered, attention to food safety and detail should be a much higher priority. Edit after the owner's response. The entire serving utensil was inside the uncovered poké stainless steel container. Any raw seafood must be stored properly. It must must be at a safe temperature and covered. An entire serving utensil (handle included) should never be stored inside the serving dish of raw ahi tuna. I was a waitress with a required food handler's permit prior to being a surgical/trauma/cardiothoracic and neurosurgical intensive care Registered Nurse. I have been an RN for over 3 decades. I am an honest Christian and a professional. I do not lie. In retrospect, I should have submitted video evidence of your food line yesterday, as I feel you doubting my concerns that you "are unfamiliar with." Taking your reply into place, I will take my business to Zen Ramen where I am respected.

The portions are definitely huge and worth the pricing, because she had to double wrap my order just so it would all fit and wouldn't fall out. To pair with the nori wrap, I also ordered the original miso soup, which comes with the usual tofu and seaweed but is on the sweeter side compared to what I'm used to. I personally like it sweeter but if you don't, I probably wouldn't order it. I don't often crave healthy food, but it was fairly filling and I had a good experience, so I'll be back to try out MiSo again!

When we arrived around 6:30 PM, the place was empty, and we ended up chatting and eating until around 8:30 PM when they were about to close. It never got overly busy, though a few customers came in and out throughout the evening, so it seems like a pretty casual, low-key vibe. One thing that did throw me off was finding the place. I came from the direction of the roundabout and somehow struggled to spot it--maybe I was just tired. Parking wasn't too bad overall, but I think I may have approached from the wrong direction when I tried to park in front. I'll be honest--I didn't really pay attention to the cleanliness because I was too focused on enjoying the food. I didn't get sick and I left feeling full and happy, so overall I'd say it was a great experience. My only real gripe was how difficult it was for me to find, but the food alone makes me want to come back and try more from the menu.

We ordered spring rolls tonight and it was literally a handful of a mixed greens (long browning stems and all), 1-2 shredded carrots (like a singular piece) and a lone unflavored shrimp buried in the middle. It was the worst spring roll I have ever had. Weird pinch of chopped up rice noodles, no cilantro or basil. I took one bite and the rest are going in the trash as my family didn't have interest either. I seriously feel like they really don't care about quality anymore, and it shows.
