I am a huge fan of Poke bowls, this is by far the worst I have ever tried. We purchased this for a birthday dinner, spent $105 with a generous tip.. so disappointed! If you want a good poke bowl, go to Tuna Poke also in Lacey, a million times better. The poke bowls from Miso were grossly sweet, very skimpy on the protein, and had flavors that were not mixing well together. You know it's bad when "the boys" won't even eat it.. my dad found a tough, chewy piece of skin on his tuna. (these were even signature bowls from the menu, not custom creations) The noodle bowl......... Cold Soup? The person that made it didn't bother to get more noodles since the bin was getting low, instead just poured the little amount of noodles and water into the bowl. What the hell. I love Miso. And I'm very that I even have to leave this review. I found Miso when they planted a new storefront at Capital Mall. During the pandemic, I ordered from them every so often. And now, the last 2 times I've order through Uber Eats, their portion sizes are nearly half of what they used to dish up. Today' I ordered Chicken Curry with curry sauce and kimchi. They barely put at curry sauce on and there was barely a tablespoon of kimchi along with it. I love the flavors of Miso, so I will order again, but probably will go in the next time and see if it's the same in store as it is when ordering through a delivery service. read more

Overrated and this place has gone down hill over the years. The tragedy staff who works there are overbearing and annoying. The food has been over cooked and the vegetables are not fresh. Stay away. The restraunts was being ran by two young man and woman who were frantic about the orders coming in and were not able to task organize with taking care of the in house customers. They were more focused on dive through. 3. The meat (chicken) looked overly cooked and soggy. 4. The concrete floors were very sticky. This place is the Asian version of Chipotle. You can order from different style cooked proteins and then build either a nori wrap, rice bowl, salad or burrito. I went with the bulgogi steak and made it into a burrito. The corn slaw, cabbage, and carrots give it a nice crunch and really accent the steak. My wife went with the rice bowl and did it veggie style. She said all the vegetables were fresh and the brown rice was delicious. The do offer a kids bowl as well. It is basically the rice bowl but smaller portion. Food = 4 Stars. The place was pretty clean but we did visit early on a Sunday before many people were even there. The bathroom looked clean as well. I've been to MiSo several times and their food is spectacular, fresh, flavorful, etc., if you have yet tried it please do so. The reason I'm reviewing today is due to the amazing customer service I received, as well as every time I've come in, but today (at 12:30) I chose my protein, which was tofu, and wanted to add kimchi ($1+) to my bowl. The worker made the connection that I was vegetarian off of my protein choice and considerately mentioned that there was fish sauce in the kimchi! I finally made it in here today, after reading so many good reviews on yelp. THIS PLACE IS EVERY BIT AMAZING AS THE OTHER YELPERS SAY IT IS. I know, without a doubt, this will be my new go to place for quick, healthy, and reasonable food. The guy and gal working were both SUPER friendly and helped explain everything in a genuine and friendly way (not patronizing or annoyed in the least bit). It is like a Korean Subway she said - yes it was! You get to pick what items you want. I got a roll and my daughter got a bowl. We both gobbled them up and were in food heaven the whole time. The bulgogi is TO DIE FOR. Don't skip the corn slaw - sounds gross but it is so delicious. Both employees asked if we liked everything while we were eating. They were attentive and seemed to really care about their customers. They have a ton of sauces to try. The wasabi mayo was just flipping deliciously spicy - perfect really. I LOVE that they offer brown rice. Both of us ate for under 19.00 (including drinks). The restaurant was cute and very clean. We felt "healthy full" afterwards. We both agree we will be back. I wish they had one in Tumwater. This one is out of the way for us but I think we will find a reason to be on Lacey Blvd in the future. It is kinda hard to find.......it shares the same building as the papa johns in the same plaza as the Walgreens, Harbor Freight, foot massage, Paco's tacos; etc. Oh and as I was reading other reviews after writing this initial review I read that they offer military and first responder discounts - so thankful they appreciate those who protect and serve. The more I try Miso's restaurants, the more I love their consistent quality and service. This was my second time and my husband's first time at Miso. To say I had to pull teeth to get him to try this place is almost an understatement. He doesn't like places that don't sell burgers or aren't full restaurants. So, first the service. Miso employs are the best people! They are so nice and patient and happy to help. Honestly, I am not a tipper, wherever possible, as I do a fantastic job at my work and I receive no tips. However, I'd happily tip these guys!! They make you feel welcome, they don't rush you, and they are full of information. Next the food. You can taste the freshness! You get SOOOO much!!! They are so very generous. I had the Ahi tuna salad with creamy sesame dressing. Tons of tuna!!! My husband sort of freaked out because it wasn't cooked but it is so very yummy and, well, he wasn't the one eating it. :) I love all their fresh and healthy toppings. My husband had a brown rice steak bowl with avocado (which is extra but you get tons for $1.50, like probably half an medium avocado, it is smashed not sliced, just FYI) and he also had the creamy sesame dressing. I had their ginger tea which is the tastiest thing in the world! If I knew how to make it myself I'd do it by the gallon. Lastly the price, this one does force me to limit my visits to healthier fast food places like Miso and Freshii's. It was $26 for our meals and my tea including tax. Now it was certainly filling but that's an expensive lunch for us. All in all, I love healthy options like this restaurant and hope more places like this will open in the future or that current fast food places will see the value of selling high quality food, made well, with great service. Wow. Sooo good! Something different and I dig it! My family of 4 had a great lunch here today 4/23/2020. Ordered over the phone and the order was ready for pick up 20 minutes later. The cost was right around $50 bucks. Not too expensive when you consider the fact that we are STUFFED now! Upon arrival and entry, all employees were wearing gloves and masks. Thank you for that. One person prepping food and another one register handling payments. Also, thank you for that. Less cross contamination. Our order was bagged up and ready to take him. In and out in less than a minute! When we got home and unbagged I immediately noticed how nicely everything was packed and packaged. Yes, there was some plastic to go wares, but there was also a good amount of compostable stuff too. So good on Miso for trying. All food was prepared very well. Nice grill marks on the tortilla wraps. My family each ordered their own wrap or bowl. We ordered : 2 steak wraps, in spinach tortillas 1 crab salad wrap, in spinach tortilla 1 Tuna rice bowl Everything was delicious! The corn slaw really is epic! Sooo good! The steak was nice and tender. The tuna was perfectly diced and COLD. The crab salad was on point and tasted exactly like a Cali Roll. Yum! We also ordered and Poke Nacho to share. Those were really good too. Although, maybe I would suggest a little less sauce? The sweet Teri sauce was a little overwhelming to the crab and tuna, which was so perfect it doesn't need to much. I have seen this place for a while now but never stopped by to eat there. I figured it was a rice bowl. Nothing I can't make at home. One day, being extra lazy and coronavirus closing down a lot of places, my husband stopped in and picked up some food. I had the crab salad and oh my! It was delicious! They gave me the right amount of toppings, let me choose whatever I wanted as a combination, and was the appropriate amount for chubby little monkeys, like myself. I LOVE MiSo! This place is fresh, delicious, and locally owned. They have choices of rice bowls, wraps (seaweed and tortilla), and salads. Any type of specialty diet can find something at MiSo. Tofu, beef, chicken, seafood, all sorts of veggies and pickled items. Their flavors have a Korean flare and umami about them. There are three locations now, Lacey (original), Hawks Prairie, and Olympia (Capital Mall). They make your item fresh when you order it, so you can choose your toppings and watch them make it in front of you. The wraps with seaweed can become hard to eat if you don't eat them immediately. So if you are getting to-go or having delivery - maybe choose a tortilla wrap, salad, or rice bowl. The seaweed wrap is my fav though. :) Also, make sure you try their corn slaw and chips. read more

A friend and I met here for lunch on the 7th of Dec. it was not a good experience. we showed up right as they were opening. they were not ready to serve food. the restaurant had dirty tables, chairs and floors from the previous day. nothing had been whipped down. there was dirt and food on the floor along with white strings from a mop. the tables and seats had crumbs all over them. I grabbed a cup of tea while waiting for my friend. it was cold. when I asked about why it was cold they said the heated coffee pot it was in had not been turned on! the tea was from the previous day I'm sure! I asked for a hot cup of tea and was told that it would take too long to boil the water. the tea in the pot would be hot by then so I should just wait for the old tea. I ordered a chicken bowl with rice, veggies and a sesame sauce. it literally had NO taste at all. it had different textures but no flavor. I won't be going back. the 2 young men working there could not have cared less about my meal. I really wonder if the food had been sitting there from the day before, like the tea. Janet read more

I love MiSo! My husband and I both really enjoy eating here, and I've asked him multiple times to stop here as opposed to stopping at other restaurants in the area (he likes to try new places...I drag him back here). We both love Korean food and thus love the Korean inspired flavors here. I usually get a bowl -- the Classic, to be specific, with a few additional veggies added in. My husband always gets a Classic burrito and swears by it despite the fact that the burrito is less food than the Classic. The meat and rice are always good, and the Kimchi is great quality. I also really love the sauce (I believe it is gochujang, but its spicier than normal which I appreciate). The ingredients are always fresh and great quality. I often get stomach aches after eating out, but the food at MiSo always rests easily in my tummy -- this restaurant is a good option if you have a sensitive digestive system. I wouldn't say that MiSo is super unique or "special" in that sense, but I'm obsessed regardless -- its like healthy comfort food to me, and I'm guaranteed to have a good meal when I stop by -- there's no risk that I won't enjoy it. The staff here are always really sweet! I've never once had a remotely bad experience, and they're regularly attentive and provide excellent service. Its always clean, service is fast yet careful, and the food is always prepared well. I have to agree with some other reviews: the location is funny. My husband and I were confused the first time we stopped by. I believe that the sign faces away from the one way street it is located on, which makes it hard to find. Amazing food!! My wife and I are now obsessed. I have tried most of the dishes and haven't had one I didn't like yet.

After 5 visits I can confidently say MiSo never, ever disappoints. The quality control is impeccably persistent and that's phenomenal for us regulars because the food is DELICIOUS. Granted, I get chicken every single time, but that's because it's cooked to perfect. The ingredients are always fresh and the employees are perfectly friendly.
