I used to love Miso! I hadn't ordered it in a few months and was sad to see the changes. It's half the size and meat was tough. Disappointing

I've been eying this chain restaurant out for a while since coming to Olympia. It seemed like a Korean chipotle that I oughta try! The location that my friend and I went to is the one in Lacey in Britton Plaza with a drive-thru. There's ample parking stalls that won't ever be a problem or stay in the car and order through the drive-thru. The concept of this place is similar to Chipotle and Subway where you can add as much toppings/sides as you want. Extra meat or protein costs $3 more. I got the Seahawk signature bowl and added some cucumbers. I also added cucumber wasabi sauce on top of the other two sauces that came with it (poke and sweet chili). The bowl wanted to look like a poke bowl but definitely didn't look like one from Hawaii. The bowl looked kind of small, but it was PACKED. It was basically filled with a ton of vegetables and some protein in the middle. I guess it's a really healthy salad with the variety of vegetables (MUCH NEEDED). The mixture of the three sauces gave so much flavor to my bowl. I loved how the tuna wasn't a weird mushy texture and that it was the kind I liked for frozen style. The crab salad wasn't too mayo-y and mixed well with the tuna and vegetables. My friend got the Dragon bowl which was basically curry chicken. And wow. This was AMAZING. the curry was very fragrant, making the chicken taste soooo good. Prices here aren't too bad especially for the amount of sides and sauces you can add on. Definitely a place to check out if you're looking for a "Korean-styled" chipotle.

Roasted Chicken salad with carrots, wonton chips, and sweet teriyaki sauce

I ordered a chicken salad with sweet teriyaki sauce. The chicken was good, the sauce was good but it seemed like there was hardly any salad in the bowl. I ate the chicken but everything else was just not for me.

Great food! The bowl is basically bibimbap without the fried egg. Delicious food, friendly staff. Healthy but satisfying. Great lunch stop!

Decor is Aloha flashy but tasteful, just like the ones that draw the touristy haole crowd on the islands. Food reminiscent of the hole in the wall/food truck type places on the North Shore that usually serve up the more authentic flavor. And service that is quick, efficient and helpful w/o being too superficial, hovering and always in your face. With regards to our visit, definitely that laid back island attitude. As for the food, ono grindz fo sure. Not all gourmet but will feed that need. As mentioned before, you order a meal and it comes with the standard grindz, like in Hawai'i. In my case, loco moco done right, with two burger patties, two eggs, and a side of Hawaiian mac, no extra charge. Kalua pork, with rice and a side of Hawaiian mac, no extra charge. Katsu chicken, with rice and side of Hawaiian mac, no extra charge. All seriously good grub yeah. Spam musubi, if you read my reviews, you know my musubi standards. This one definitely makes my good musubi list. The one thing I haven't run into in other places here in Washington that L&L offered, MALASADAS! Nice, fresh, warm, sugary, MALASADAS! Not the soulless impersonations offered up at the Asian buffets, or the fancy jelly filled exotic bakery types. Genuine, no frills, Hawaiian MALASADAS! It has been a minute since I've had one this good. Next time, this may be all I will be ordering. Regardless, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue will definitely get a return visit from this local boy.

Then I saw their TikTok last night, and let me tell you, that video had me craving it instantly. The scrumptiousness was living rent free in my brain all night, so today my son and I had to stop in and see what the hype was about. We ordered the Sour Diesel, the Fire, and the Afgoo, all on their toasted jalapeño cheese bread. First of all, the female employee who helped us was so friendly and welcoming. We do not eat out much, so we were genuinely excited and maybe a little impatient to try them. When they handed us the sandwiches, I immediately noticed how heavy they were. And the smell in the car on the way home, oh my goodness. Pure torture waiting to unwrap them. Then we got home and opened them up, and I was honestly shocked in the best way. There was actually a MEAL on that bread. Not one of those sad sandwiches that's 80 percent lettuce and air. These were loaded. My teenage son even commented on how good his was, and trust me, teen approval is not handed out lightly. The portions were generous, the flavors were bold, and each sandwich was totally unique and delicious. I can confidently say I have found a new favorite sub spot. Total hidden gem if you love a good sandwich that actually fills you up and tastes incredible. I did not grab a shake this time because it was freezing outside, but after seeing all the flavor options on the menu, I will absolutely be trying one next visit. Highly recommend in every aspect. I love when you try somewhere new and it completely exceeds expectations. This one is a must try.

The chicken? Absolutely incredible. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of that deep, soulful flavor you can't fake. The fish and chips are sooo good, with crisp, golden batter and tender fish that melts in your mouth. And the Po' Boy sandwiches? As authentic as anything you'd find in Louisiana. The bread, the seasoning, the generous fillings--it's the real deal, the kind of sandwich that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate what's happening. The sides are true Southern, comforting and made with care. Every plate feels like it's coming straight from someone's family kitchen--greens, hush puppies, you name it, it's all delicious. On top of the incredible food, the vibe at Beau Leggs is warm and welcoming. The staff treats you like family, the portions are generous, and every dish feels crafted with pride. I was curious what the hype was with Popeyes, but now I know... I'm sticking to Chick-Fil-A. This is my first AND LAST visit to a Popeyes, ever, due to poor customer service and order inaccuracies. I placed a digital pick-up order today around 3:50 p.m. (PST) through their website and arrived at this Popeyes location around 4:13 p.m. to grab my food at the drive-thru. The order was still not ready, so they asked me to pull to the side at the drive-thru (literally blocking everyone at the exit so they had to drive around me), where I waited until about 4:27 p.m when 4+ cars' already received their order. Usually, I check my takeout orders before I leave, but I was assuming that if it took at least 30 mins to make it, the order would be checked for accuracy before handing it over to the customer??? Almost half of my order was missing! I don't care how busy it gets, I have never had this type of service or this low level of order accuracy at any other Wings restaurant (Chick-Fil-A, Wingstop, Fire Wings, etc. -- you name it). I did not check my order after pickup until I brought it home. That's what I realized I was missing: my Cajun fries, my fried pickles, my condiments of ranch and tarter sauce (which apparently they no longer have, but did not communicate that). I requested sauce on the side (for the condiments), but this was my first time ordering and did not think that meant for the [boneless] wings, so only the honey BBQ & signature hot sauces were given. Obviously, I had to inconveniently drive back to the store (luckily, I live a 10 min drive away).. When I returned to the store and walked inside, I was not greeted, and it took a few minutes for anyone to appear at the register. No surprise that there was a lack of service since the inside was empty of customers (besides one person sitting at a table with their bagged takeout order). Gawd, the vibe was like walking inside a wasteland with deadpan expressions and minimal or a lack of communication amongst all the working employees. I really should have pulled a Karen and asked to speak to a manager, but I managed to remain level-headed to tell them that several items were missing from my order. They said sorry and just gave me the excuse that it was busy. I straight up told them, I get that it's busy, but if it takes over 30 mins to make the food, I would have assumed the order would at least be correct? Then they scooped some fried pickles and Cajun fries for me into individual cartons (after I reminded them several times which items were missing). But the boneless wings? They just drizzled some sauce over it and shook the box in front of me before placing them in a new paper bag with my sides. I was appalled that this is how the sauces are added to the chicken. Or maybe it's the dystopian first-hand view of how cheap chicken can be sloppily made, and the illusion is shattered. The only thing that tasted good and worthwhile was the Gum-Gum lemonade, which is a limited-time beverage anyway. Almost $60 for this level of service and order inaccuracy is ridiculous. Mind you, I received nothing additional from this inconvenience besides pointless "sorrys," cold chicken (for all the time it took to "fix" it), almost $60 wasted, and anger. Do better.

I had a hard time believing him because my family jokes and calls it Taco Timmy, since it is the least Mexican looking place that makes tacos. Am I snob about that? Not at all. I love Taco Bell and Chipotle, so I had to come in and try it out. My sister in law warned me not to go because I'd be disappointed- she had been to the restaurant for business and saw how filthy the kitchen was. But when I visited it looked clean and airy, so I didn't let her words deter me from my curiosity. We came on a Sunday and this place had almost no one in it. That was the first sign. Since I love Taco Bell taco supremes, I got the Taco Time equivalent. It was dry. It reminded me of the ones Jack in the box serves where they fry the shell with the meat so that it's a hard, yet oil sopping mess. Taco Time's presentation was better, but that meat... at least Taco Bell's tacos are greasy but well seasoned. What I did like was the tater tots. Crispy, fresh, and plentiful, I'd come back to this place just for the tots. I also liked how the ketchup isn't in squeezy packs, but are packed in a dip sauce container so it's easy to sauce. Those two things earned the place another star. Was there anything else I liked? The parking was plentiful, but that also says something about the place, doesn't it.
