When I was in Denver, I met a guy who had relocated to town but was born and raised in Olympia and he swore up and down and passionately that he missed Taco Time. I had a hard time believing him because my family jokes and calls it Taco Timmy, since it is the least Mexican looking place that makes tacos. Am I snob about that? Not at all. I love Taco Bell and Chipotle, so I had to come in and try it out. My sister in law warned me not to go because I'd be disappointed- she had been to the restaurant for business and saw how filthy the kitchen was. But when I visited it looked clean and airy, so I didn't let her words deter me from my curiosity. We came on a Sunday and this place had almost no one in it. That was the first sign. Since I love Taco Bell taco supremes, I got the Taco Time equivalent. It was dry. It reminded me of the ones Jack in the box serves where they fry the shell with the meat so that it's a hard, yet oil sopping mess. Taco Time's presentation was better, but that meat... at least Taco Bell's tacos are greasy but well seasoned. What I did like was the tater tots. Crispy, fresh, and plentiful, I'd come back to this place just for the tots. I also liked how the ketchup isn't in squeezy packs, but are packed in a dip sauce container so it's easy to sauce. Was given a taco with the shell that was incorrectly bent and fried, the ingredients falling out, they served it anyway. The crisp beef burrito is now thinner and filled with a cheap beef filler. The chicken chili is now watery brown with very little chicken. Who are you people fooling? Corporate greed. read more

Taco Time has been my go-to fast food for years. The Lacey site has really gone downhill in the last year. I just picked up a pinto bean casita burrito that is almost only tortilla. there was a very thin layer of beans and sour cream, but nothing else. don't know if they're trying to save money or not training the preparer, but I'll be avoiding this one and going out of my way to go elsewhere now. read more

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't that busy inside. The person working the counter struggled to get our order right. I asked for no cheese or dairy products. 3 times asking for it to not add it was a bit much. This was my first time ever going to a Taco Time and I wasn't disappointed. I got a little bit of everything just to try it out and everything was pretty darn tasty. The regular crunchy tacos have more meat and cheese than Taco Bell. Their fish tacos were a treat. And my favorite was the delicious crisp chicken burrito! We dined in and everything was very clean. I was very disappointed in the extremely slow service at dinner time in the drive thru at this location. By the time I even got to the window, I was so frustrated I had lost my appetite. Where to begin... I have never had Taco Time before and after this tasteless experience, I will never be having Taco Time again. I ordered a Veggie Burrito and while it was a very large burrito similar to the size of burritos one might see at Chipotle or Qdoba, the burrito was very bland and mostly tasteless. It consisted of refried beans and spanish rice (a staple it seems in this ethnic cuisine), shredded cheese (which seemed industrial grade and unmelted), a hint of salsa, and a large handful of salad mix (you know the kind one buys at the grocery store with the shredded carrots and red cabbage/radicchio). The burrito was barely warm and the salad mix really added a bitter taste to the entire burrito. I wanted to get some churros, and thought the burrito would be so big that it would fill me up. I only got a quarter of the way into the burrito and threw the rest away because I was disgusted. Too bad I didn't get the churros. The "Mexi-fries" which are basically tater tots were also cold and seemingly soaked in grease which probably means they had been sitting out for a while. The restaurant dining area was empty, similar to the parking lot. It looked like from the drive-thru window that there was only 2-3 people working in the restaurant. Overall, I will not be partaking of the vittles from Taco Time ever again. I don't see how one can mess up spanish/mexican/ethnic food, but I guess that may due to the fact that Taco Time is a fast food restaurant. read more

The drive through is way too small. Who ever designed it should be fired. If you have anything bigger than a Mini Cooper the drive through is VERY hard to maneuver. read more

I love their food, I'm sorry! The food is so much better than the Taco Time in Longview where we moved from but they are even more expensive so we won't be eating here often. We had an Enchilada platter, 2 Crisp Meat Burritos and 2 tacos and paid $27! I hate to think what it would have cost to feed our kids! Anyway, excellent fast food. read more

I always feel a little sleazy yelping on a fast food restaurant. I mean probably 90% of them would probably disgust us if we really saw what happens in the kitchen. And I can't help but think that chain restaurants would be worse...but I digress..... The speed and service at my visit were fine. No issues there. Ordered and had my food in hand within 5 minutes. But first impressions are everything and when I looked through the drive thru window, I saw a rundown kitchen. This place has clearly never been updated and that doesn't really mean anything to the quality of the food but I had to question it based on how dreary the inside looked. Taco Time advertises freshness and quality. I guess that doesn't apply to the giant burrito I ordered. I expected something better than I would get at Taco Bell.... but in all honesty, it tasted exactly like something from Taco Bell. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing... I don't know. But it wasn't good. There are many things from the PacNW that I miss and one of them is the crispy taco from Taco Time. Their hot sauce, although not hot, has great flavor and those little mexi-potato nuggets are delish. Although there isn't too many things that are special or over the top but the white chicken chili is also impressive. I am not a fan of fast food but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and this is one place I visit when traveling back home for whatever reason. read more

This restaurant is inhuman, moraly wrong!!!! I were there early to oder some food. And this was happened- this hungry & upset man was calling the police . This restaurant refused to serve him because he walked up to the drive through! Even he explained that he has a big truck parked near by, and the restaurant doors closed during corona virus, so he could not go in side. And police didn't show up. The beef in my crispy taco was definitely too salty and definitely not filled with good flavor, and really it's just odd to have a taco with a slice of tomato in it (as opposed to having it chopped up like salsa) and I'm pretty sure the guy over charged us, but was too lazy to go talk to the guy over a few dollars. The Habanero Crisp Chicken Burrito is bomb af, it has that Habanero flavor but is only jalepeno-spicy. This location also has items other locations don't offer, like chimichangas, the beef chimi is perfect with the ranch and hot sauce. Fast service, perfect place for a quick and healthy lunch with family and friends. read more
