Menu and enchiladas à la crema
    Annalisa C.

I ordered enchiladas with three sauces. You can see it in the photo. When it arrived, it only had the one white sauce. I called and the lady said it was only for cinco de mayo. I asked why it was the photo for the item and she said I was wrong and it wasn't. Now I have a screenshot proving her wrong. Food is good but far far far too rich for only the white sauce. Bummer, it would've been great with the three sauces like the picture. Edit: they also didn't put any avocado even though I paid for it / it's included in the menu description.

The restaurant has appeared to have been recently renovated. There are new booths, tables, and menus. Everything looks elegant, clean and tastefully decorated. We ordered Micheladas (La Mansion with oysters). They were over-the-top generously crafted, and super delicious compared to other micheladas we've tried. These were one of the better ones out there. I got a molcajete, which was very tasty. My husband got street tacos and a half dozen of raw oysters. The server was courteous. We had a few hiccups with what was available on the menu so it took a little for my food to arrive after I had to change what I originally ordered. Overall, this is a nice restaurant to come check out if you like mexican seafood or just Mexican food.

I want to say at the outset that my family adored the food. Mexican seafood is uncommon in most of the US and most people do it poorly. But everything we ate was delicious from the ceviche tostada to shrimp tacos to crab legs to fajitas ... the food was superb. The problem is management. The menus have not been updated to reflect new pricing and the owners way of getting around this is posting a "sign" (8x11 sheet of paper on the front register) that lets diners know the prices have changed (even if not reflected so on the menu). Our bill was $40 more than we expected and that is a lot for a family of five. When we asked our server, she admitted that she should have been more clear when we were ordering. She offered to reduce the price of two items to the original menu price, but that was only $15 off the first bill.

Love coming here when I'm in town! Pros: Always easy to get a table, big menu, food is consistent and always hot. Cons: They add cheese to their fajitas which is a major downer for me and their guac is a bit bland.

Delicious food, cozy ambiance, peppy music. My husband took me here for a date night and they had the freshest guacamole and a very nice tart margarita. My husband has the enchiladas a la crema and I had 3 adobada tacos.

    Seafood Chimichanga

Came here on a Saturday evening. As we walked in we were warned that our food may take a while to be prepared. Sounds like maybe they were short staffed. The lady that greeted us at the door was the same lady that waited on us. There were a few other diners. Our order was taken in a timely manner. Soft drinks are sold by the can or bottle, so no refills. The chips were very crunchy and darker in color than most other restaurants. The salsa was good but did not pack any heat and left more to be desired. I decided to go with the seafood chimichanga. It has been a while since I have had one. It was packed with a seafood mix and cheese. It wasn't really what I was expecting and a little different than what I have had in the past at other establishments. The refried beans were a little salty and the rice portion is extremely small. We also ordered some ceviche, which was good...but for some reason was brought out after the main entree. We had the la mansion platter, wet burrito, LA burrito, chicken chimichanga, 3 tacos--chicken tacos (thought it was supposed to come with rice/beans but didn't) and the shrimp burrito. Everybody seemed to have liked their food, but noted that it was salty. When the food came out, it had a nice presentation. I would not say that the food was as good as I would have hoped for it to be. Not sure if this just wasn't the right night to visit but I can say it was a little disappointing considering there are many Mexican restaurants in the area. Customer service, outside of the wait time, was pleasant.

Shout out to Jennifer for being a great hostess/waitress. The food and drinks were very good. My friend got a seafood dish with octopus in it and we were surprised by how tender it was.

If you want seafood and Mexican this is the place! Some of the best ceviche on oysters I've ever had, shrimp and cheese dip--soo gooey and yum-o, and the Coctel Cameron omg. Great portions, homemade chips and a swordfish on the wall to boot! Visiting a friend here and she misses Mexican food back in Nevada, so this was a great choice.

Opening night at the revamped Ricardo's! As with any…read moreopenings, the kitchen was hectic but well orchestrated. (There's a window looking in on the kitchen and staff.) The owners, Shane and Jennifer, went to each table asking customers what they liked and what could be changed to improve their experience. Very good to see on a grand opening. Now, for the rest: Atmosphere: Picture an Italian restaurant from the 30's or 40's in Las Vegas, Chicago or New York. Very classy but definitely not stuffy or dated; something like Sinatra, Martin and Davis would go to. I would return for just the experience. Service: Top notch. The servers make you feel welcome as if you were part of the "Old Neighborhood." Our server, Bradford was amazing. Very attentive, knowledgable and friendly. I asked him for his opinion as to how my steak should be cooked and told him I didn't want it bloody. He explained the difference between dry-aged (Something Ricardo's does in house.) and store bought meat. I took his suggestion, Medium Rare, and it came out perfect. The FOOD!!! : As I said, my steak was perfect. The wife had some fancy pasta dish that I can't pronounce. I'm not a pasta-guy but what she had was delicious and not over/under cooked. I ordered the house salad, another thing I don't usually do, just for this review. The vegetables came out fresh, crisp and colorful; I actually finished it. For dessert, we shared the Creme Brûlée flight. The flavors were Vanilla, Peach and Lemon. I enjoyed each but the Lemon was out of this world! (My spouse just told me she had the Burrata Pasta. =) Top Secret: There's a speakeasy behind what appears to be a freezer door. The interior looked amazing. I'll be going there on my next visit. My thoughts: The owners, Shane and Jennifer knocked it out of the park! From what I heard, there'll be a Happy Hour menu with more choices. Times are tough all over; even businesses are feeling the pinch so Shane & Jen will make every effort for you to enjoy your experience at Ricardo's! This isn't your ordinary steak house, and there's more to the menu than just steak. As for my humble opinion, you owe it to yourself to enjoy an amazing time. Life's short... enjoy it!

We called the day of, and they were booked out until 7:45. Which makes sense considering how small the restaurant is. I'll start off by saying that the food was the highlight of the night for sure. But, the service wasn't the best from what I've heard from others. We ordered a bottle of wine, which took about 10-15 minutes to be served to us after the order was taken. Then when we were putting our appetizer order in, the server told us to wait while he handled something else. But, I've heard from close friends that the service is amazing, so maybe it was just an off-night for them. Anywho, we ordered the arancini, arugula and Gorgonzola salad, and the caprese. My favorite was the caprese. The tomato's were nice and juicy and tasted amazingly fresh. Mozzarella and basil also delicious. It was a nice refreshing appetizer. The arancini is a pretty heavy dish which makes sense since it's risotto stuffed with bolognese and cheese. I wish it was hotter, but the flavors were yummy. I ordered the bucatini that was on their specials menu. It was served with a sauce similar to Alfredo but a lot lighter than I expected. It also came with zucchini, mushrooms, and a prosciutto-like meat. It was my first time trying bucatini, and I was definitely not disappointed by it! They had great specials that night, so we were very fortunate to have caught them serving these dishes. We finished the night off with tiramisu, and it was delicious. Overall, I would definitely come back and hope for better service. But the food is something I would come back to regardless.
