Service was actually pretty bad. The server brought us menus and chips without asking if we wanted anything to drink. After several minutes (more than 15) she came back to get our order and we finally got to order water and drinks. Brought out my margarita but no water after another 10 minutes. Then finally water for my wife. Dinner was good, but then we waited forever for the check. Hire more people or lose business because I don't think we'll be back. read more

Let me start by saying this is my second visit, and the food is wonderful! Having said that, my husband ordered 3 street tacos, and asked to hold the onions and cilantro, and add lettuce and cheese instead. The waitress did not mention an extra charge for that, so when the bill came, I was surprised by the fact that they had charger $1.99 for each add on of lettuce, and $1.99 for each add on of cheese. The original cost of each street tacos was $2.99, but with the outlandish price for the cheese and lettuce, each taco was $6.97. That made the total price for 3 street tacos $20.91. I ordered the tacos Dorado, which came with 3 tacos and rice and beans for just over $18. I don't mind paying for add one, but that price is absolutely ridiculous. I cannot patronize a restaurant that clearly takes advantage of people. At the very least, the waitress should have advised us in advance. read more

We were on our way home from Seattle and I found this place on YELP, here's my review. Staff: 10/10 friendly, down to earth, and kind. Restaurant: appeared clean, the bathrooms were clean, they had a changing table in the Women's bathroom. They were making house tortillas when we walked it and they were amazing. When we were leaving the had two tables full of tortillas laid out which I thoughts was strange though? Food: in my opinion the beans were meh (I love El Sarape beans), I think I got the wrong order but everything was decent, I'd probably eat there again. My partner is a big Mexican food lover and he says it was a 8/10. Their tortillas and cheese dip were life giving. Pricing: two kids, two adult meals, one appetizer and drinks $125 total. read more

The interior is nice and clean. There are about six booths and the rest is table seating. It can get kind of chilly when the door opens if you're sitting at one of the tables. The service has always been good no matter who is working. The menu is very extensive. There are plenty of seafood options as well as a nice vegetarian selection. The margaritas are pricey but two people can split one of the 32 oz. The portion sizes are very big. They have a really nice creamy hot sauce you must ask for. I tried the new phone app. It was slick for ordering takeout lunch during work hours. Today I went to use the app and it didn't have the lunch menu. I called in my order and picked it up only to discover the lunch prices have gone up considerably. Since I was ordering more than one meal, I asked for an extra salsa and was charged $1.75 for a tiny salsa for my coworker. Our lunches came to over $37 dollars. Not again. What a rip off. read more

Found this place on Yelp. Located in a small strip mall, we wanted Mexican food while heading back from Portland. Large selection on the menu, dishes you don't often find on standard Mexican restaurant menus. Our food arrived promptly and were large portions. Both the combo plate and the burrito were amazing! got a little tiny carne(?) taco, which was good. lots of cilantro and onions, but what got me was the little baby green salsa squeeze bottle :o it made me so smiley throughout the meal because I could not get over the size. that with the little baby plate, too! carne was chewy and no fat on it, which I liked. For food my husband and I ordered their queso birria tacos and consome plate, their asada and tripa tacos and an order of their aguachiles en salsa obscura. It was delicious and very well portioned. Their tripa tacos were perfectly crunchy definitely a favorite and their aguachiles had great flavor and felt fresh. The cantaritos were refreshing and delicious as well. I would never go back to this place again ! I am from El Paso, TX ! I know what menudo and pasole is. They gave me menudo with NO HOMONY !!! I couldn't believe it ! It smelled so rancid ! I had to tell them , where's the homony , doesn't menudo come with homony ?!! Smh !!! Gave me tacos and they were dry !!! No salt no seasoning ! The only thing that was ok was the lemonade !!! Walking in, place seems authentic and ladies there are friendly. Plenty of seating for private booth to large party. The salsa was 5 and they even allow you to purchase but kinda on the pricier side, but worth it if you are not local. We ordered burritos (Mexicana & Fiesta) 3 and they were ok... meaning that they were bland, but large portions which you will take home half of it or you can share. I saw there were fries on the menu, a socal feature, so if I am in the area again (yes for the salsa) I will try that and share. We've been here twice and the first thing I want to point out before anything else... is the service! An incredible crew works here and they are tentative and friendly. Even if the food was a 1 (which it's not) the friendly environment and service goes above and beyond! Second: the food ‍ we went for dinner and we had to take things home because it a well-well-well portioned plated. We ordered a plate of tamales and a combo plate with a dorados and enchiladas. Today was our first time trying the new breakfast menu. We ordered the tamales with eggs, rice & beans - and a bloody Maria (tequila). I think the kitchen is still getting the hang of preparing breakfast items. My meal tasted very good, as always, but my "over easy" eggs were well done - runny eggs are so much better topping a tamale! My hubby's tamale came with only one egg instead of two, but his was soft-cooked. Chips weren't served until we asked, they are important for scooping up the beans & rice. Next time we will know to ask for chips and to make sure they know we want the eggs to have a runny yolk. We will be back! read more

What a fun place! Festive. Packed on Sunday night. Friendly and great service. My wife and I love to share so they have a meal for two called the Molcajete. The mixed meat molcajete is a preparation of different types of meat (chorizo, beef rib, chicken breast, panela cheese and vegetables (nopal, chiles and onion) Nopal is actually cactus! It was good, but not what I was expecting. My son got the Tamale combo, tamales were big but mostly masa. Ordered whole beans but got refried. The Chile Colorado that my sister ordered looked good. Tacos run a little on the small side, would prob need to order a few more than you would at other places. The beans and rice were yummy, but could have bigger portions. 5/28/2024 ---- Still my favorite restaurant in town as the atmosphere, food, and service is always outstanding. Hubs and I come here at minimum 3 times a month to get our fix of carnitas tacos and at least one of their 4 fabulous shrimp dishes. BUT, as if I needed another reason to come here, I recently was enticed by Nayeli (an absolutely STELLAR waitress/bartender) to try the Cantarito!!! Fresh muddled orange, lime, and lemon paired with super smooth tequila and a splash of a citrus soda (7up or Squirt). The tajin rim and spicy candied straw make this a true adult treat!!! Best tacos I've had in the area! And I keep trying tacos everywhere! We went with a large party of 7 and they seated us right away and multiple servers offered help with drinks, more chips and salsa, etc. We never had to want for anything! The carne asap tacos are flavorful and juicy (not dry at all). The salsa was great and the Birria was tender and awesome.
