    Chicken nachos! Delicious

I have eaten here Sooooooo many times because each time the food is delicious. The vibe and decor is amazing. The service is always great. Tonight they charged for refilling our chips though, they never used to charge for refilling the chips. $1.50. That's the first time any Mexican restaurant charged extra for a refill. Is that a thing?

Sweet little find in Tumwater, WA. Cool metal Mexican skeletons all over the bar and restaurant, and a 6-foot cigar smoking butler figure in the dining area. I'm a sucker for ambiance. The food!? Actually, pretty good. I ordered the lunch street tacos. Flavor-wise, good, but difficult to pick up. Perhaps they are designed to be fork/knife eaten, but when I think taco, I think hands. Accompaniments were the typical add rice and refried beans. What I found disappointing was the complimentary chips and salsa. Call me old school, but I've come to expect them as part of my Mexican restaurant experience. At La Patrona, only the first serving is comp, after its $3 for each refill. Call me spoiled, but I didn't appreciate that surprise. Price -wise, about $24 for my plate and an iced tea. I'll come back even if I need to adjust your the new $3 chips world!

We drive by this restaurant every day so we decided to stop in and try it. The place was full (great sign) on a Sunday around 6pm. There was cool decor and some merch available to buy right as you walk in. We ordered queso for our chips and it was DELICIOUS. We both had an order of the birerria tacos and were blown away. We shared an order of the jalapeño wontons, (highly recommend). Overall, service was great, food was really fresh and amazing. Definitely worth it.

This is the place for a good Carne Asada steak and some flavorful Mexican cuisine. Steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, juicy, tender and delicious. They also provide complimentary chips and some really tasty salsa upon arrival. Service and atmosphere were also pretty good as well.

    The Best Food ever!

We just had dinner here and the food, drinks, and service were FABULOUS! Best food We've had since we were last in Mexico. We will definitely be returning.

We love this spot because it makes you feel right at home. They have a great variety for Happy Hour and the margarita flight is a great price and just the flare to light up your day! The jalapeno popper appetizers, oh they melt right in your mouth and honestly makes me want to get a second order! I love the taco salad too. I try something new everytime and never disappoints! Another drink favorite is the paloma, not too sweet, just right!

    Cute bar area

Visiting in the area and tried this restaurant. It's really cute and decorative inside with plenty of seating for small or large groups. There is also outside dining at the back and looks very cozy.... would be fun in the warmer weather. The bar area is vey comfortable and nice. Plenty of seating at tables as well as stools at the bar. Large selection of drinks and beer. The service was great and servers were very nice. Orders came out quickly and we enjoyed the chips and salsa before our meal. We had the avocado margarita and another traditional margarita. Yum! For our meals we ordered the steak burrito and the Molcajete..... and if you've never had this dish, you have to try it. The best of everything in one big black volcanic bowl. It's a great dish for sharing or for a second meal! We did the combo chicken, steak and shrimp. Betty flavorful and presented well. Great place and had a great family meal .

Stopped in for a quick visit with some friends. Waiter was kind. Food was delicious. I had Arroz con Pollo and adult drink Diablo Mule. It was great. The decor inside was awesome. They also said they could make the drink spicy if wanted. While food, staff and drinks were great wanted to give a few tips. 1. Could be loud inside. 2. Parking entrance is not the same as the exit. 3. Bathroom located back entrance of restaurant. 4. Parking is scarce. 5. Outdoor seating with lighting and heaters.

12 of us ate here for lunch today. Positives were we had great service and the place was very clean and nicely decorated. However not one person said they really enjoyed their meal. It was just ok. My lunch fajitas with a diet soda were 23 bucks! I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. Meh!

Very meh, pork carnitas were on the dry side. Music not to my taste. Great service. Sticking with Don Juan's in Tenino.

I read a lot of negative reviews, but were staying in the hotel next door so gave it a shot…read more It was actually very tasty and hit the spot, whether or not it's authentic. It was charming inside, and the service was great, unlike other reviews mentioned. My only complaint is that it was cold inside!

Not great. Let me start off by saying that Plaza Jalisco has always been my go to for Mexican food…read morein the area. There are A LOT of Mexican places to choose from and this USED to be my first choice every time. I have been going here for years but over the last year, every time I go, I tell myself it will be the last. After today, it is truly the last time. 1 - The server, an older lady with black hair, is always grumpy and acts like you are bothering her by asking for basic things like napkins, silverware, etc. She is unfriendly no matter how nice you are. Her name starts with an S but I'm not trying to put her on blast publicly. 2.) The prices are ridiculous. I know everything has gone up but 19.00 for a bowl of tortilla soup? 22.99 for a lunch sized portion of Polla ala Crema? I paid 29.22 today for polla ala crema and a soda that was never refilled. There was 3 ounces, at best, of chicken on the plate. 3.) Refills are practically non existent now. My cup sat empty for most of my meal and the server never came back to check on us so I never received a refill.paying 3.50 for one glass of soda is ridiculous. 4.) We ran out of salsa but there was no offer for more, like most mexican restaurants offer. 5.) The restaurant is always cold, not sure if they are trying to save on electricty but it is noticeably cold in there. The polla ala crema is very good and it is what has had me coming back but I just can't fathom spending almost 30.00 (without the tip) for lunch for one person for such small portions and terrible service. It was a good run, Plaza. I do wish you well, but judging by the empty parking lot every time I have been there in the past year, I am guessing things aren't great. It might be the prices. Or the service. Either way, best of luck.
