You know that you are in for authentic Mexican food when you enter the restaurant to find the…read moreclientele that are there were all of Latino people. When we arrived the place was full and there was no room for our party of six until the largest party very graciously gave up one of their tables for us. I had a wonderful chicken chimichanga, my wife and her friend shared a pot of seafood and another friend desired something that wasn't on the menu (Huevos Rancheros) and was accommodated in his desire by the chef. I would definitely recommend Huicholitos as an authentic example of Mexican food and ambiance.

Most excellent flavor! I also got a chicken molita which isn't pictured. The chicken in my…read moreenchilada was so juicy. You could tell it wasn't just in a pot continuing To cook, or an under a warming lap drying out. The flavor of the chicken has almost a Smokey quality which seemed a Step above some other places locally. They must use some amazing Marinade. The beans in my Plate were just how I like them Smooth with a Hint of texture, not too much. The rice was moist and well cooked not to mention, flavorful as well. My wife got the nachos which she absolutely loved and only had 5 chips left over which, being the good guy I am, helped with. Seriously though the nachos were great. She added extra jalepeno which they had no problem doing for her . Water come in sealed/chilled bottles which is something I'm used to with European dining, which isn't an attempt to level Up for them, it's just how they do it here. We also noticed in a restaurant that's ethnic has a lot of people from the same culture eating there that's a GREAT sign! Service is prompt and pleasant. A no frills kind of place, modest in size but they could accommodate a larger group in a space to the side. They also have Uber Eats available too. A great little place, highly recommended!! This was our second time here, first dine in experience.

Hola! Back to the story... The food is generally very good, but sans the experienced server, it tends to fall apart. Firstly, the prices are a little high for the ambiance. Secondly, the ambiance is a bit worn for the prices. Thirdly, it's mostly like walking into a mall where over half the stores are now shuttered. It's like they don't care anymore. Lots of unfulfilled potential here. But, the food is generally very good. I almost always get the arroz con pollo (chicken with rice), and it's a pretty full plate (lots of rice). There is the expected Spanish music playing in the background, and the tv's are set to various sports in the bar area. All in all, clean the place up and get all servers to be like their one superstar, they'd be an easy five star stop!

I paid two dollars for extra cheese. I paid an extra dollar because it was a to go order, not sure why that made a difference. Total price for a burrito with no sides over $27. That's just ridiculous. Will not return. They're just too many better options out there.
