This used to be my favorite taco truck and we have been here numerous times. We stopped by today and ordered a California burrito with chicken. There were approximately 3 pieces of chicken- it was stuffed with refried beans and what appeared to be French fries? It lacked flavor and was just meh. My easy to please husband said, "that was the second worst burrito I have ever had". To add insult to injury when I ordered it the person working charged me 4 dollars more than what the menu listed. When I looked at the menu confused he changed the price to the correct price. Not impressed. There are too many good taco trucks on the area to be ripped off like this. Won't be back. read more

Arrived at the truck on 04/08/26 at about 7:15pm. Admired the menu for a few minutes, at 7:20 ordered #3 which is 3 taco meal (steak), two kids burritos with chicken and a fajita burrito with steak and added the deluxe option (sour cream, cheese, avocado). Wonderful lady who took my order said it would be about 7 minutes. At 7:24pm she called me over to give me my order with a bright beautiful smile and standing behind her was her team all smiling and thanking me for coming by. My kids loved the kids burritos, very nice size, they each said it was one of the best they've had. (We frequent Mexican food), my lady enjoyed her taco meal, my burrito though, as big as my forearm, perfectly assembled (food was evenly placed and not grouped together, you know where a couple bites are just beans, then veggies, then finally you get a couple pieces of meat) the burrito must have weighed 3lbs. Absolute banger. I used to live on that side of town, and would swing by the truck at least once every couple of weeks, but it's been a year or so and I fell in love all over again. Give me street tacos any day of the week! But especially after running errands on a Saturday and then needing to stop for food fuel, these tacos on the back of my truck bed were the perfect happy moment before I got busy with the next set of errands! Carne asada is my classic favorite from here but their lengua is also very tender and flavorful. The pastor was a little heavy on the cumin today for my taste but other than that, perfect as usual. I would say 3.5 if Yelp did give half points. I ordered a chile relleno burrito. The burrito was long and skinny and pretty good. The Chile relleno was not whole and it was cut in pieces. The menu says bean and rice added, but all I got was rice and a lot of it.but it was a pretty good size burrito and there was plenty of relleno inside. I also ordered a bean and cheese burrito, which was pretty good. But I thought the flour tortillas was too big bc there was a lot of tortilla wrapped around the ingredients. My daughter ordered an Al Pastor burrito, which she said she will never order again from this place. Not very much Al Pastor but a lot of rice and a lot of Pineapple, yes pineapple. There were some tables to enjoy your meal, but it was too chilly for that. Stopped by at lunch time today before 11am and there wasn't a line. We ordered the kid's burrito meal, asada fries and some pastor and lenqua tacos. It was quite a bit of food and all of it was very good. The kid's burrito was large enough for an adult. The tacos were very tasty and the asada fries were were huge, tasty and enough for 2 to share. The total was around $35. Well worth it. Friendly staff, delicious food and FAST. Big fan of their food, really want to give them five stars but I just can't. Several times they've messed up my order and done nothing to make things right. Once they completely didn't make my phone order. I came to pick it up and the girl looked around frantically for the ticket and then told me they were just finishing it up, lol. I could tell she just completely forgot to write it down entirely and I had to wait 15 minutes which was against the point of calling in because I was on a time crunch. It was annoying, but I could have let it go, things happen. Unfortunately it wasn't the only bad experience. Another time they overcharged me 10$ and I had to get back in line to show them after realizing when I got in my car. The dude just gave me a 10 and said whoops sorry. It took like 10 minutes to wait in line and get the money back. This last time they completely forgot one thing I ordered over the phone and I didn't feel like waiting so didn't even bother to say anything. But the big thing...and this blows my mind... they have signs posted all over their truck about "PLEASE WEAR A MASK" and "STAY SIX FEET APART", and tonight, NO ONE in the truck, including the woman who projected into my face about what I ordered, was wearing a mask. Absolutely crazy. I'll continue to go back but maybe after COVID has died down a bit, and see if they have gotten their ordering system together. My wife and I used to look forward to the Taco Amigo on Martin Way & Carpenter, when the food was always plentiful a great. I had ordered the three Mexican steak enchiladas, which had been my favorite. One Saturday afternoon, I had ordered that. This time it was cold, each enchilada being tiny, nothing whatsoever like previous times; and the order was about 1/2 the usual size, with everything tossed together sloppily and served in a broken, leaking container. Different people were working there, not the ones from all previous times, and they were rude and angry looking. I went back after a couple of months, the same workers, so I left without ordering. I will never waste my time going back, as there are numerous other places that serve very good Mexican food at good prices--and are happy to serve their customers.
