So I actually ate at their new physical location in Tumwater (formerly Plaza Jalisco). It's tucked away next to the Best Western, behind Dutch Brothers. This was my first experience, and I will say the food is extraordinary. Very welcoming server who seated us right away. Restaurant was very clean and in good order. They have a bar area, but it was closed as they were still waiting on liquor license. Very tasty homemade tortillas chips and salsa to start off with. I ordered Chicken Enchiladas and wife ordered Chicken Fajitas...DELICIOUS! Very attentive server who checked in with us periodically. We ordered a Chicken Quesadillas to go for our daughter (she thought it was super good). I think the three meals, drinks, and refills came to around $70 (not including tip). Each meal was ~$20 and it was a good amount of food. Overall, a really good experience. Please support this local business - you won't be disappointed! read more

This used to be my favorite taco truck and we have been here numerous times. We stopped by today and ordered a California burrito with chicken. There were approximately 3 pieces of chicken- it was stuffed with refried beans and what appeared to be French fries? It lacked flavor and was just meh. My easy to please husband said, "that was the second worst burrito I have ever had". To add insult to injury when I ordered it the person working charged me 4 dollars more than what the menu listed. When I looked at the menu confused he changed the price to the correct price. Not impressed. There are too many good taco trucks on the area to be ripped off like this. Won't be back. read more

Still some of the best tacos in Lacey and the Birria is great! I'm giving them another star because of their community care. Today when I picked up lunch, an unhoused man asked about getting some rice & beans and was given a small container with a fork & napkin from the friendly woman working the window. This made me smile. We only have one another. read more

I needed a burrito.. it was all I could think about. Seriously We were in the area so decided to give El Taco Amigo a try. I was not disappointed. They were friendly and quick! My burrito was full of flavor, tortilla was soft and crunchy at the same time. No complaints from me! Horchata and Jamaica were also refreshing. read more

Very nice person working. Great tacos. Hot sauce lives up to it's name. Very good. Will be back.

Arrived at the truck on 04/08/26 at about 7:15pm. Admired the menu for a few minutes, at 7:20 ordered #3 which is 3 taco meal (steak), two kids burritos with chicken and a fajita burrito with steak and added the deluxe option (sour cream, cheese, avocado). Wonderful lady who took my order said it would be about 7 minutes. At 7:24pm she called me over to give me my order with a bright beautiful smile and standing behind her was her team all smiling and thanking me for coming by. My kids loved the kids burritos, very nice size, they each said it was one of the best they've had. (We frequent Mexican food), my lady enjoyed her taco meal, my burrito though, as big as my forearm, perfectly assembled (food was evenly placed and not grouped together, you know where a couple bites are just beans, then veggies, then finally you get a couple pieces of meat) the burrito must have weighed 3lbs. Absolute banger. I used to live on that side of town, and would swing by the truck at least once every couple of weeks, but it's been a year or so and I fell in love all over again. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff is incredibly friendly. Next time though, I've got to convince them of more spice... The salsas are really tasty too. *regret not getting pictures, next time I will* read more

Burrito was awesome all the way! Huge, flavorful, right amount of spice, moist, WONDERFUL. This is going to be my Carne Asada burrito place. Ordered lengua tacos as well. Full of flavor. But, sadly, overpowering the flavor of the meat. Still, wont disappoint you. Food bursting with flavor!! read more

Give me street tacos any day of the week! But especially after running errands on a Saturday and then needing to stop for food fuel, these tacos on the back of my truck bed were the perfect happy moment before I got busy with the next set of errands! Carne asada is my classic favorite from here but their lengua is also very tender and flavorful. The pastor was a little heavy on the cumin today for my taste but other than that, perfect as usual. I love how they serve each plate with carrots, onions and radish. I love radish! Tacos are now about $2.45/tacos. For 7 tacos, with tip, my total was $25. Buen provecho! read more

I would say 3.5 if Yelp did give half points. I ordered a chile relleno burrito. The burrito was long and skinny and pretty good. The Chile relleno was not whole and it was cut in pieces. The menu says bean and rice added, but all I got was rice and a lot of it.but it was a pretty good size burrito and there was plenty of relleno inside. I also ordered a bean and cheese burrito, which was pretty good. But I thought the flour tortillas was too big bc there was a lot of tortilla wrapped around the ingredients. My daughter ordered an Al Pastor burrito, which she said she will never order again from this place. Not very much Al Pastor but a lot of rice and a lot of Pineapple, yes pineapple. It was basically a pineapple and rice burrito, she was very disappointed. I would say the ingredients are good but kind of chinsy with the main ingredients. We also asked for hot sauce and they only gave us two (for four burritos). So that was kind of disappointing. read more

Just bought a carne Asada burrito and birria multias and all I can say is WOW, the burst of flavor and freshness!! I'll definitely come back again. Thank you for making food so yummy!! read more

I think I got food poisoning from here once but I'll always come back, the food is soo good. Best burritos in the area and for so cheap too. If you ever visit Lacey/Oly, you have to come here. There's a El Taco Amigo food truck behind Titus Cars and one right next to Heavenly Donuts. My recommendation: - Al pastor burrito * Ask for deluxe, add extra meat, red sauce (green is not that spicy) - Carne asada burrito is also good Suggestion: leave in airfryer for a few minutes Wasn't a fan of the lengua burritos or the horchatas, wish they strained it more. read more

There are plenty of options for food here in Lacey. I had heard some great reviews from family about El Taco Amigo Truck and decided to give it a shot. There were some tables to enjoy your meal, but it was too chilly for that. Stopped by at lunch time today before 11am and there wasn't a line. We ordered the kid's burrito meal, asada fries and some pastor and lenqua tacos. It was quite a bit of food and all of it was very good. The kid's burrito was large enough for an adult. The tacos were very tasty and the asada fries were were huge, tasty and enough for 2 to share. The total was around $35. Well worth it. Friendly staff, delicious food and FAST. You can even call your order in ahead of time too. Definitely will return. read more

We came for lunch to El Taco Amigo and will come again. We had come here years ago and enjoyed the meal so we took a chance traveling thru to see if they were still in business; and thank goodness they are! This place never fails. This place is legit. The street tacos are bigger than other trucks and the workers are friendly. Communication slacks a little bit, but eventually you'll figure it out. Had a tongue taco, tongue sope and my friend ordered steak tacos with rice and beans. A good sized amount of toppings come on it and flavor is authentic. I recommend! $.025 for extra sauce please n the side. read more

Mexican food that has flavor + spice. I've had the tacos, burrito, and tamales and all were amazing!

I've been here numerous times last year, food was always delicious. Today was either just a bad day or they've changed their standards. Everything was lukewarm or almost cold except for the rice...sadly this was the best part of the meal. Cold steak is never good. I may never come back after this. Also, the lady asked me if I wanted red or green spice and didn't give me either. Found this out only after driving all the way back to work. I typically don't eat at food trucks, but my friend insisted we stop here since we were in the area. Great stop for a great meal and price point. We shared a plate, so we wouldn't go into a food coma driving back to Seattle. So glad we did. Carne asada torta, Cubana torta, and Lengua Quesadillas were all so flavorful and delicious. Don't forget to try their hot sauce! Super fast service, with a couple of outdoor tables to eat at, it's parked in a parking lot, so it's easy just to pick up and eat in your car. Food is super good we got a carne asada burrito & a California burrito both 10/10. We also got a large rice and large beans. The beans were put in a normal to-go box which led to them spilling in my car and all over me. Please get soup to go cups so this doesn't happen to anyone else! read more

Go here regularly. Got 4 queso Birria tacos last night. The dip/stew that comes with it, they changed. It was basically chicken broth. Wasn't even red. Horrible experience!!!!! Food is mediocre at best. Burritos were not better presented than what you get at Taco Bell. Too much lettuce and not enough meat on burritos. We asked for hot sauce for 5 orders and gave us two little ones. We asked for more and they said No. They also shorted us one burrito. We called to advise they shorted us, and they refused to acknowledge it. We drove back to let them know they shorted us a burrito, and they said there is nothing they could do other than we can buy another burrito. The customer service was awful, and lady taking orders needs to work on her manners. I would not recommend to anyone. read more

I have been sampling the taco trucks for the last year in Oly and this place is legit. It never disappoints! The tacos are a bit larger than traditional street tacos, they're stuffed to the brim! The beans and rice are delicious, the service is friendly - it's all aces with the taco friend. My fav are the al pastor tacos - but the burritos (and everything else) is incredible, too. Just do it. read more

For some reason I can never just get a bean and cheese burrito with rice here. Ordered one and got one with pork and pineapple in it. Reordered the same thing and I got a cheese enchilada covered in sauce with some rice and beans on the side. I don't get what is so complicated?? read more

The food was bland but what was even blander was the workers they were D1 yappers and kept yapping about how they gave us the correct amount burritos but they dident they gave us 4 instead of 5 and we dident check the bag until we got home and once at home we checked and there was not a 5 burrito so we called them and they had 0 professional experience they dident even put us on hold and we could hear them yelling each order and then they wouldn't acknowledge us. So after we called them they said to come back to get the burrito they missed fixed. But then once we got there they told us we had to give them one of the burritos back in order to give us the 5 they did not understand are request and they demanded a burrito back so ultimately I had to go to Popeyes to get food and we lost 12 dollers for one stupid butrrito. read more

This food truck never disappoints. Moving to the PNW from So. Cal I'm always searching for some bomb ass tacos and burritos. I make the drive from TacTown. So far I have loved everything I've gotten from asada tacos to the burritos with all the meats. The burrito is huuuuuge. It usually takes me 2 to 3 days to finish it... Delicious birria tacos! Salsa was super yummy as well. Large menu so there's something for everyone!

I ordered two orders of the birria tacos with consume through Doordash. I received mystery meat with rice and beans. I had Doordash redeliver. I again received mystery meat with rice and beans. Big fan of their food, really want to give them five stars but I just can't. Several times they've messed up my order and done nothing to make things right. Once they completely didn't make my phone order. I came to pick it up and the girl looked around frantically for the ticket and then told me they were just finishing it up, lol. I could tell she just completely forgot to write it down entirely and I had to wait 15 minutes which was against the point of calling in because I was on a time crunch. It was annoying, but I could have let it go, things happen. Unfortunately it wasn't the only bad experience. Another time they overcharged me 10$ and I had to get back in line to show them after realizing when I got in my car. The dude just gave me a 10 and said whoops sorry. It took like 10 minutes to wait in line and get the money back. This last time they completely forgot one thing I ordered over the phone and I didn't feel like waiting so didn't even bother to say anything. But the big thing...and this blows my mind... they have signs posted all over their truck about "PLEASE WEAR A MASK" and "STAY SIX FEET APART", and tonight, NO ONE in the truck, including the woman who projected into my face about what I ordered, was wearing a mask. Absolutely crazy. I'll continue to go back but maybe after COVID has died down a bit, and see if they have gotten their ordering system together. Food is awesome, but there's a lot to be fixed here. read more

Came back to knock one more star down because apparently this place just nickel & dime you for everything now. Charging extra for LIME! That's just ridiculous. Lime and salsa are things that should be given with burritos/tacos like any other taco trucks/restaurants. For a business that is obviously doing well, you shouldn't be nickel and diming everything. I'm glad there's another competing taco truck that I love going to because this is just not worth it anymore. read more

My wife and I used to look forward to the Taco Amigo on Martin Way & Carpenter, when the food was always plentiful a great. I had ordered the three Mexican steak enchiladas, which had been my favorite. One Saturday afternoon, I had ordered that. This time it was cold, each enchilada being tiny, nothing whatsoever like previous times; and the order was about 1/2 the usual size, with everything tossed together sloppily and served in a broken, leaking container. Different people were working there, not the ones from all previous times, and they were rude and angry looking. I went back after a couple of months, the same workers, so I left without ordering. I will never waste my time going back, as there are numerous other places that serve very good Mexican food at good prices--and are happy to serve their customers.
