Recommend : Zenchi & Hiru Rolls & Unagi Don Time : 2:00 Price range: $6-30 per food item 6 min walk from Soho54 We walked from Starbucks and found this gem . Modern aesthetics and clean restaurant. My guest and I were immediately greeted and we decided to sit at the bar. A beautiful bartender served our drinks of Aqua Panna, an Old Fashion , and a glass of Pinot Noir. The food was tasty and came within 15 min of our ordering. The fried rice has bits of fried chicken ...maybe chicken thigh ? Idk but it was crispy. The Zenchi and Hiru rolls were delicious and aesthetically pleasing.

Had this the other day for a quick bite. Ordered chicken fried rice. It was really tasty and filling. I love the decor: exposed pipes factory aesthetic. The service was prompt. I would definitely come back!

One word: Yum. Was craving fried rice, was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. They have a pretty decent happy hour menu and the food is super fresh. Really impressed by the decor! This is more of a slow-paced restaurant - so give yourself time to enjoy yourself.

My friend and I wanted to find a Japanese restaurant near her work place and decided on Mishik. We sat down and finished eating within 45 minutes, which is great for a workday lunch. The ambiance is nice, on the upscale side, with lots of open space. It didn't feel too crowded between tables. CHIRASHI - 35 The order came with complimentary salad and soup. The dressing on the salad was too much and overwhelming, so I was unable to finish it. The miso soup was fine with lots of fried tofu bits. The chirashi bowl was sizable, but contained a lot of aesthetic veggie fluff that took up 1/3 of the bowl, rip. Besides that, I enjoyed the tuna and eel, but other fish cuts were just OK. Surprisingly, there wasn't salmon in here. Overall, 3.5/5. Food was fine, but not memorable. Unsure if I would be back in the future, though.

We stop by to have a light drink and snacks at the bar before our dinner. The bartender is very friendly and her drinks are amazing. We love the Seiko so much. It's perfectly paired with the appetizers there. They have a beautiful sushi bar and table seatings. If anyone interested in sushi maybe can give it a try.

The truffles sushi rolls is TO DIE FOR. Literally we talked about what our last meal would be and I think it would be THAT sushi roll. The food is high quality and the cocktails are just as good. Shook by how well done the cocktails were. The salads were nice and light. The service was attentive and efficient. The ambiance was elevated but still casual enough for a work lunch.

Overall: A // 5 stars Chic and upscale spot on the edge of SoHo with high quality and subtly innovative Japanese fare. Friendly and knowledgable staff that fits in their equally comforting ambience. Great new spot! (Chirashi Teishoku: A+) - The chirashi is immaculate, with fresh fresh fish sourced from global destinations, very precise cutting of the fish to highlight the beautiful marbling, and expert seasoning to the point where I didn't need to use any soy sauce. This gorgeous bowl is a treat to have for lunch! A salad and soup also comes with the set, which offer a slightly elevated take, with parmasean crisps that come with the salad for that extra saline and crisp, and some seaweed in the texture of noodles for the soup to have more substance. A great modern Japanese restaurant. My fiancee and I came here for dinner on a Thursday evening, which was surprisingly not too busy with only a few people sitting at the bar. Very modern interior with a showcase omakase chef's counter. Our waiter was professional and attentive. For drinks, I tried the Blossom ($20), which is a mezcal drink with Sakura Syrup, lemon, and vanilla. Pretty tasty with the strong mezcal flavor. What may not seem like the appetizer, we ordered the Sushi Toku ($65), which is a chef's Selection of 8 Nigiri and 6 makimono pieces. They were arranged from lean to fatty on the plate. We also ordered the Toro Taku ($15), which are toro and pickled daikon in a maki roll. Overall these were alright. For the entrees, we ordered the Wagyu Kimchi Fried Rice ($29), which was freakin delicious because of the A5 wagyu. I think the waiter mentioned that this was their top selling item. We also ordered the Soondubu Jjigae ($22), which contained chicken bone broth, chili, vegetable medley, silken tofu, and banchan. This was pretty good, besides all the oil sitting on top of the broth.

Came to try their Teishoku lunch set for $35, which comes with soup + salad. Their soup had a nice umami/mushroom flavor and the salad had these yummy parm crisps! We got the Roasted Chilean Seabass and Japanese Hamburg for our entrees. I really loved the Seabass! It was moist and the yuzu miso sauce paired perfectly. The Japanese Hamburg also paired nicely with the potato salad, which had the most refreshing Ikura that popped in your mouth! Their Teishoku portion is just enough for each person, with room to order an app or two to share. For apps, their Rock Shrimp Tempura is a MUST! It's a dish of bite-sized shrimps and each one is fried to perfection! Their Gyoza also had a beautiful, crispy skirt. We closed the meal out with their refreshing and delicious mocktails. Comfortable and nice interior with attentive staff. Quick walk from the A/C/E/1 trains at Canal St and near a good amount of corporate offices, for the perfect lunch or happy hour spot!

I stopped by for a wonderful modern Japanese fusion meal and stumbled upon their affordable teishoku lunch deal for $35, which comes with a soup and salad. Just the salad alone was one of the freshest and tastiest ones I've had. The interior is beautiful inside and they offer omakase as well, but we opted in for their kitchen dishes. Mocktails were refreshing and fizzy. The Gyoza filling had great umami flavor. The shrimp was fried lightly and sauced well. On to the lunch entrees, the seabass was so succulent and soft. The hamburg meat was juicy and cooked to a perfect temp. Last, but not least, the ice cream was rich and had that earthy taste that hojicha is known for. And the cheesecake was smooth and citrusy; perfection. Also really loved the service here. 10/10 all around!

Nice looking restaurant, but realistic rating is a 3.5. The pricing is pretty high for most items but the desserts are surprisingly affordable at $5 for a dessert. My husband ordered the jjigae and I had the chirashi bowl. The jjigae was $22 without seafood, but we added a supplement of $10 for the seafood. The jjigae without the seafood would have been a complete joke of a dish. The soup was watery and no rice came with it, so it you didn't have the additional seafood it would have just been a few pieces of vegetables and tofu. It was not a particularly good dish either, so at $32 it was too pricey for what it was. I ordered the chirashi and while it was nicely presented and tasted good, it was very small. I somehow left full anyway but I don't typically eat much. We ended the night with hojicha ice cram and a wafer. The waitress didn't bring any utensils for us to eat this, I thought it was odd but she overall was very nice. When I went to use the restroom, one of them didn't close so I had to go to another one. We paid the bill via inKind in time for me to use the expiring funds. This was worth it because glee didn't end up thing much

A5 Wagyu - Yakiniku course (chefs tasting menu)

Came here with my bestie and fiancé to celebrate his birthday last weekend. I randomly found it on Yelp and made a RSVP after looking through some photos and reviews. We arrived before 6pm on Saturday and it was quite empty. The ambiance was nice for a date or having a catch up sesh with a friend! We all decided to go with the chefs tasting menu ($105) and sake pairing ($70). I really enjoyed all the courses - the scallop sashimi, tuna donburi, sea bass, nigiri, a5 wagyu, dessert and dashi. Some mishaps- The sake tasting was a little confusing- I wish they either had a different sake for each course, or advised us on when to drink each since there were 5 in total but more than 5 courses. We all ended up finishing our 4th sake during our nigiri course and had nothing for the A5 wagyu course, which was extremely fatty and would've benefited from some sake to break up the fat. (The 5th sake was for our dessert round.) We were also served our dessert before our dashi course and had to ask the waiter if we were still getting it. We ended up finishing our dashi with the yuzu sake, which while delicious separately, didn't really match. My fiancé also had a slice of yuzu cheesecake with a candle with his ice cream, but my friend and I just had the ice cream. I just noticed that the menu says both so not sure why we only got the ice cream. Outside the mishaps I'd still come back again! I'd skip the sake tasting and just share a bottle next time though.

I came here for restaurant week, and it was delicious! For $60, you get an aperol spritz, app, entree, and dessert. I chose the gyoza dumplings, gyudon, and panna cotta. My friend got the fried squid legs, sushi plate, and the hojicha ice cream. The gyoza dumplings were juicy but couldn't really taste the quality of the meat; i'd rate it a 6/10. The squid legs were crispy and came with a delicious sauce; 7/10. The gyudon and sushi plate were both a 10/10. The gyudon came with a peanut butter spinach, poached egg that was so creamy, and the meat was so delicious. The sushi plate had a 6piece crawfish roll and 4 nigiri pieces. The panna cotta and hojicha dessert was also delicious.

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit. The entrees provide a substantial amount of food, and I especially appreciate that they allow you to choose which roll comes with your meal.
