I have eaten here several times but tonight was very disappointing. I ordered the Schnitzel and it was served with a tiny little salad. The sauce was sweet and very thin and the spatzle was gooey and lumpy. the price of $26.00 was exorbitant for the type of meal. A local establishment doing the dining and drinking experience right. The owners have figured out the fine balance between lunch stop and dinner experience. In addition, they are on site, attentive, and friendly. I've been here at night to eat and drink beer, and I've been here in the middle of the day with customers. Mish Mosh Burger seems to be the go to burger (or chicken sandwich) and I would have to agree. They do use top quality ground meat, and they cook it the way you order. Fries were a good side, but the star is the burger. Also had the Pork Bahn Mi and it was something I don't normally make at home and was what I expected. The side salads are a little pricey for the size, but that's for you to decide. The location is somewhat hard to find, and the building is rather nondescript, with low roof pitches and an unassuming exterior. Despite that, it's what's on the inside that counts, and I did not come away disappointed. read more

What a hidden gem! Hubby & I loved it. Food was great and not just barfood this was quality food made to order - we had their specials: salmon & stuffed chicken. Everything was fresh and deliciously prepared, even side dishes and drinks were great. Service was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. And love the atmosphere - a small restaurant with a bar and an outside eating area with a firepit. Wished they had an outdoor heater, but other than that hope they don't change a thing. We drove a pretty good distance because we heard good things about this small restaurant. Had reservation for 730pm. When we got there they had a "Specials" menu on the table but they were out of 90% of the items. WHY put the menu on the table ??? Did the chef just want to clean out his frig. REALLY disappointed. One of our drinks tasted watered down-mentioned to the waitress, but didn't seem concerned. Someone needs to be more customer concerned. read more

Had a great lunch with friends today and the service was great, food excellent, and the atmosphere is always great. I've seen some rough reviews about Bar 50/20, and I have to question those, but it's the restaurant business in the world of social media. It's rough out there. We all had the Friday fish special and we were pleased with the food. Great flakey Cod with awesome slaw and fries. A couple of important bumps in the road were; first a little high price for a fish sandwich at $13.75for fish sandwich and chips, and the wait time for the food. It was a pretty clear staffing issue. Manager and one server working service, with what appeared to be two in the kitchen. Both were delightful and friendly, but when a small restaurant gets hit this hard (20 ppl in a small restaurant during Lent in a heavily Catholic area, plan a little better). I've never had anything near bad food at Bar 50/20, and now its successor, Mish Mosh which is the official name of the place. They're a small independent restaurant that I like. Give them a try. I'll give five stars even though there were some rough spots. It's 13.75 for a great fish sandwich. Go to McD's if you're looking for 2 fish filets for $4. Worst experience of restaurant ever, without even eating! We waited for an hour for the food to come and the waitress (who did her best by the way) was embarrassed to tell us "your food is coming soon" until the manager of the place came to tell us that "they ran out of tape" which means nothing. She never ever apologized and told my husband "to lower his voice down"! As a manager this is not acceptable to say that to a customer who had been patiently waiting for one hour and not even talking loudly. So we decided to leave the place and the manager never ever apologized for not serving us our food! At least they should learn from this comments to apologize and compensate the wait of customers by offering bread, chips instead of having their customers waiting clueless and hungry. My husband and I went to Mish Mosh a.k.a. Bar 50/20 tonight for dinner. The drinks were good, the service was good but the food was underwhelming and misrepresented. For instance, I ordered the shrimp scampi.. but was instead served large shrimp with the tales on. To make matters worse I ordered broccoli instead of the linguine and was given three small pieces of broccoli. When I questioned the small serving I was told that broccoli cost more than linguine. I ended up ordering a side of broccoli to add to my meal. To the owner/chefs credit, the sauce was delicious on the shrimp. My husband's burger was good but the french fries were overcooked and they were small pieces. I ordered a side of fries, but to my dismay, they were much the same (over cooked and small pieces of fries). We have gotten really good meals in the past...so needless to say we were disappointed. read more

This is a diamond in the rough. Another don't judge a book by its cover. I've driven by dozens of times and really never thought to go in. Not sure why today was different but I now regret my delay. It's a really tastefully decorated huger end bar which you would never guess walking up to it. The menu is great as well and it's hard to choose from so many great items. So we asked our server for help and she was both very knowledgeable and helpful. The food is fresh, never frozen. Its homemade and delicious as evidenced by all 6 of us clearing our plates. In fact we all already have our orders ready for our next visit. I would highly recommend the Italian wedding soup to start. It was worth the calories. I'm going to say that this is likely the best dining spot in this general area which true, there is not a ton of choices, but this truly is a gem and deserves a stop. read more

We have been here a few times and have to say it's very good . I think they have a great burger and my kids always get the steak and fries. Sometimes it is a bit too crowded, but that's is good thing as the good is certainly worth it. Happy hour prices are great and when we went on a recent Friday we ended up leaving with a bill under 50 and that was for 3 of us - total steal. The service is excellent and have always felt well tended to here. Also- this is one of oy favorite places for salad as the greens are always fresh and tasty. I stopped into Bar 50/20 the other night to meet my parents for dinner. This has recently become my stepmother's favourite place in that part of town. It was 1/2 price burger and chicken sandwich night, so I was leaning towards one of those. We ordered a plate of their Provolone wedges for the table to go along with our beverages and I was stunned by the size and quality of this starter. The cheese was beautifully coated in a hearty crumb and deep-fried. It was accompanied by a delicious sauce, which I discovered was homemade. That quickly put the kibosh on my sandwich order because I had to have something with that incredible red sauce. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan, which came with a generous portion of cavatelli. My stepmother got an order of the meatballs with a breadstick. The meatballs were succulent and didn't have either a rubbery or mealy texture. Dad got the burger and it was quite substantial and included a generous amount of toppings. My side salad was nothing remarkable, but it was your standard restaurant side salad. Very pleasant and patient staff, interesting and delicious seasonal cocktail menu, good food, nice ambiance. 2 people in our party had the Sicilian Burgers. They were cooked perfectly to order, excellent boardwalk-style fries. My friend and I split the mesclun pizza which was delicious - crust was chew/crispy and had good flavor, topped with melted cheese, crisp lettuce and a great drizzle of dressing (maybe balsamic?) - and the dim sum app of crispy gyoza and mini spring rolls with a spicy sweet dipping sauce. 2nd visit this time with the whole family. Rare for us to all find something we want. My duaghter got lobster Mac and cheese. We all taste each other's meals the Mac and cheese was yum. And as evidence of how we enjoyed it was the only thing we brought back home. I had a fish fry, I really liked it, Howard even made cocktail sauce for. My 12 year old son is a pescatarian and he got a dish he didn't like they gladly took it off the bill. My wife got a burger and downed it all. Usually she'll bring 1/2 home. 1.the server didn't write down the orders, so she had to come back to confirm what was ordered and some of the changes that we asked for. We should have run for the hills right then. 2. it was about 45 minutes until our orders came out. NONE of them were correct. One of the burgers that was supposed to be medium well was very rare. I asked what substitutes were available instead of French fries and was told either broccoli or a side salad. My plate came with the fries and instead of leaving the plate and bringing me the salad, she took my whole plate so I had to wait to begin eating anything. Every member of my party had similar issues. 3. When the bill came, I was charged an additional $1.00 for the change from fries to a salad. We were not told that substitutions were extra. We sent the check back to have those extra charges removed and it took our server more than 10 minutes to return. 4. once we received the correct bill, it took her another 10 minutes to come back to pick it up and process the payment. 5. it was very noisy. read more

Unfortunately, the restaurant Bar 50/20 doesn't exist anymore. Fortunately, it's got a new name, MishMosh. My wife and I just returned from an absolutely delicious meal. She ordered a chicken sandwich that was, amazingly, not overdone. The accompanying fries were done just right. I got the Bento Box, consisting of tasty salmon with brown sugar glaze, wonderful jasmine rice, sesame-garlic broccoli and a small salad. Everything was perfectly prepared and tasty. The prices are quite reasonable and the patio is delightful. MishMosh will become a regular stop on our dining circuit. read more

This is one of my favorite local bars. Just to clarify, I'm not a barfly or even much of a drinker. This is one of those bars that is truly better known for their food then their beverage. Bar 50/20 is a small business that is run by its owner. While, I won't add his name here, this man cooks the food you are being served. To me it's like quality assurance. If the owner is actually running their restaurant, he/she will care what comes out of the kitchen. I have never had anything mediocre here. Everything is fresh and super tasty. Just to give you an idea, there is a fresh kale salad, wild mushroom flatbread, eggplant parmigiana, and various meat dishes for all. This is not you standard bar menu loaded with fried food. It's way more creative During my last visit, I ordered the eggplant panini. I was craving one of those since I saw a show on food network about eggplant parmigiana. The eggplant panini from bar 50/20 did not disappoint. I highly recommend this creative place for your next casual meal. read more

Good food, and drinks. They Attempted to provide a good experience for their customers but was very hesitant when we were paying our bills. We asked if we could do separate checks and our server said of course when we started ordering but when we were about to pay, all of our checks were messed up. The server (flustered and annoyed) then said that she will NEVER do this again, that tomorrow will be a new day. It made us feel pretty shitty because it wasn't our fault! She said it wasn't at all a problem-- something happened behind the scenes(she forgot, she lost her pad of paper with our order, change of servers....) We never felt that there was not enough staff. This was the worst place I've ever been. Food was o.k. but nothing fabulous and a little pricey for where you are. Outdoor deck is basically in the parking lot. We live right around the corner and drive passed every day but honestly never thought to try it. One night I was craving a burger so decided to give them a call for pick up. I told her I couldn't find the menu online so we read all the burger descriptions to me! It was so sweet and I really appreciated that she took the time to do that. Since Bar 50/20 has opened, it has been enjoyable and fun. I first started going here in early 2012. I got to know the owners, Joe and Jim. Every time I see one of them, they buy me a beer! The service can be slow at times, but only when they are busy. There are regular bartenders, such as Nann on Friday nights, who know everybody by first name. The pizza is thin-crust and usually way too hot to eat right away (I'm not complaining!). But as a suggestion, get the pizza well-done! read more
