Cute place to grab, tea, matcha, coffee. Located in downtown San Diego 2 blocks from the ocean and maritime museum. You can also get sandwiches, dessert here. I ordered the miracle potion matcha latte. Look at the pics how beautiful it is. The sparkly butterfly melts my heart but it is edible too. Most people come for English style brunch or afternoon tea. Brunch tea is $39 per person and afternoon tea is $59 per person. I don't know the time cut off or the difference in foods served as I have not tried. It is in the upstairs space, which I didn't get to view. You will need to reserve and there is mandatory gratuity for parties of 6 or more. The only downside is there are only 3 or 4 tables, so it's more grab and go. Don't bring more than 1 person to come with you unless you reserved the English tea sessions. Hours are 8a-3p or 8a-4p on Saturdays. Parking is a challenge here or costly at paid lots. Will be back to try the miracle potion brunch experience.
Such a lovely cafe but an even better tea room! It was really easy to reserve our tea ahead online. As soon as we got there they brought us upstairs for their special afternoon tea experience. Their tea consisted of individual cups of tea with a pot of hot water for each person (we were only a party of 2), sparkling pink lemonade, 3 sandwiches, classic biscuits with French butter, and an assortment of desserts. While I was a bit bummed to have tea bags in my cup instead of infused tea in a full pot, it still worked! You are allowed two different flavors of tea, so you would just keep adding your hot water to one tea bag until done and then switch to your next flavor. I had their spiced apple chai and gingerbread teas. I absolutely loved the spiced apple chai whereas my friend loved the gingerbread more. They do offer a wonderful assortment of teas. My favorite sandwich was the salmon croissant although ALL of them were fresh and absolutely delicious. I did enjoy my scone but I was just so excited to have real French butter that the butter definitely outshined the scone. Still all was delectable! Their desserts are almost too beautiful to even eat. Luckily, everything I had was as delicious as it looked. A great overall tea experience!
Miracle Potion is a literal dream. I had the pleasure of enjoying their Afternoon Tea for a girlie solo date, and I felt like the most special little princess dumpling, healing my inner child in perfect pink pleasantry. Service was perfect, every bite was more delicious than the last, and I cannot wait to return!

This spot is so cute and pink! Downstairs is just a cafe, but if you're doing afternoon tea, they take you upstairs. The savory items were very tasty and petite desserts were delicious. You also get sparkling pink lemonade when you are seated and choice of two teas. Definitely a lovely spot for tea time with the girls or day date!

It was so delicious and even refreshing. The staff were nice, quick with our drink too. They also have an upstairs area for reservations wanting to hold a tea party. I'll be coming back!
This place seems like a cute little spot. It's pink and fun and the drinks are pretty good. I had their signature matcha drink which was violet flavored and had rose petals. It was recommended by the owner and my only critique would be that once I got towards the bottom of my drink I couldn't really finish it because I was just sucking up the dried rose pieces. I would definitely come back and try something different.

So glad I finally stopped in here after months of passing by when it was closed. The ambience is spectacular, a clean and pink aesthetic that leans more mature and naturesque versus barbieesque. Immediately I was greeted by the warm and friendly woman at the register and it was such a relief because that's not a norm here sadly as I have come to find in downtown but not here. She was also so helpful when I asked for recommendations and I can't wait to come back and try the other recommendations. I ordered an oat milk caramel latte and the cinnamon roll. I appreciated that they took their time to prepare the drink meticulously and warm up the roll properly. It arrived on an adorable pink tray and I could smell the magnificence of the cinnamon roll (like the legit homemade version) that I had to take a few bites before heading out. Wow! Phenomenal, rich, and delicious! And the latte was just right. Not overly sweet but also not too milky. Perfectly balanced. I'm glad my espresso machine is under repair so I could visit this lovely place. Already looking forward to coming back!

I got the chai flight (banana, coconut, cinnamon & guava) and the lunch special with a salmon croissant. We went on a hot day so it was good that we got something light. Everything was so good!! My favorite chai drink is a tie between the banana and coconut - YUM!! The owner was there & she was super sweet. The details they do on everything does not go unnoticed. I went on a Sunday, so parking was free on the street and wasn't too bad to find. I will be back as there will be a floral coffee flight & im dyingggg to try!

Took a stroll through downtown and somehow ended up exactly where I needed to be--at Love Portion. I was on a mission for matcha, but not just any matcha... I wanted something a little extra, and this spot delivered. I ordered a custom lavender iced matcha with honey cold foam and wow... it was such a good call. The lavender wasn't overpowering, just light and calming, and paired so well with the earthy matcha. That honey cold foam on top? Chef's kiss. It added the perfect touch of sweetness without making the drink feel heavy. Every sip was smooth, balanced, and honestly kind of addicting. What really stood out though was the service. It was my first time and I had zero clue what to get, but the girl at the register was so sweet and patient. She took her time helping me figure out a combo I'd love and made the whole experience feel really welcoming instead of rushed. You can also customize your milk (coconut, etc.), which I always appreciate. The shop itself is adorable. Think soft pink, super cute, aesthetic vibes all around. There's even an upstairs area that's set up for tea parties, which is such a fun touch and makes it feel a little more special than your average coffee spot. They also have pastries and small bites, so it's not just drinks if you're feeling snacky. Overall, this place is such a vibe. Great drinks, genuinely kind service, and a space that makes you want to hang out a little longer. Definitely coming back to try more of their menu. read more

Miracle Potion is hands down one of the most beautiful coffee shops I've ever been to -- it's like an Instagram dream come true! Everything is decked out in pink -- walls, flowers, décor -- it's absolutely adorable and perfect for that cute photo op. It's conveniently located right next to the San Diego Santa Fe Amtrak station, so it's a great spot to hang out while waiting for your train. We actually missed ours and had an hour to kill -- this place saved the day. I ordered a chocolate croissant but ended up getting what looked more like a chocolate bread bite. It was tasty, just not what I was expecting. The pink lemonade sparkling drink was refreshing and crisp, and their famous pink latte was surprisingly good -- smooth, creamy, and Insta-worthy. What a lovely place to getaway to in the middle of the day. My husband and I came here for a private event. Our group was provided a mini tea sampling on our visit, including the home baked items made in-house to accompany the tea selection. The parking nearby on a Saturday was plentiful. There was a sign to direct us to the event space upon arrival. Each participant was able to choose a tea of choice off the menu and I selected the strawberries and chocolate tea. The business fills their own tea bags for the tea room. Lovely pink everything is served here, from the table and linens down to the tea cups and trays. We were served by the owner and her assistants. My favorite item on the tray were the macaroons. They provided cream and sugar for those who wanted it. I would recommend booking a reservation in advance and to make sure you get a seat. Many tables of two were taken inside and there were a few additional tables outside. Perfect for a nice day. Hands down, best tea spot I've been to recently. Let me just start with the good stuff. They're on time, walk you to your prepared table, go over the menu with you and give you two tea options. Not one, but TWO. We also got a lemonade drink with our tea set. The service is friendly with a smile, when the staff brought over our food, they took their time and explained what each item was and made sure we had enough hot water for our tea pots. The decor is cute, clean, and two stories. The food is delicious and we never felt rushed. We enjoyed our time there, the food and just simply catching up. This is a fun place whether you just want to hang with the girls, or have little girls of your own. This place did not disappoint. Worth the money. read more

I really wish I had taken the time to read the most recent Google reviews instead of falling for the hype. I submitted a request for three people a month in advance for their afternoon tea experience. Instead of a simple confirmation, I received multiple confusing text messages saying, "the appointment you requested may now be available..." but for a date I didn't even request. Despite trying to book far in advance, I still couldn't secure a reservation. I finally decided, oh well, I'll just meet my two friends there, grab a drink and pastry, and enjoy the vibe. Well, that didn't happen. They were shockingly rude to my friend and completely turned us off from wanting to stay. There are maybe two tiny tables inside by the cash register and a few tables outside. The beautiful seating area you see on social media? Completely blocked off unless you have an appointment. And when we asked about it, they told us they'd only had one appointment that day, which is laughable considering how impossible it was to book one. To top it off, the cashier handed my friend two business cards and told her she'd have to call their boss to ask permission if we wanted to order and sit there. What?! I've never experienced anything like that. At that point, I didn't want to spend a dime there. We left and went to Parakeet Café instead and honestly, it was a way better experience read more

A truly delightful and perfectly pink location! Floor level and loft seating available (no elevator). This is a lovely space with delicious coffee and nosh. I went here before hopping on the trolley to school and it was so delicious! I got a latte with soy milk (I can't remember exactly what it was but it had pistachio too). The decor is so so cute and pink. I had walked by before and wanted to try and I'm so glad I did. The staff are also super kind and know the local construction people well. I absolutely loved this cafe and was so happy it was in walking distance of my hotel. It is the cutest cafe and the aesthetics was a vibe. They provided great recommendations for matcha and I ended up going with the pink matcha latte. Not only was it the prettiest it was delicious. I will always make this a stop when I'm in San Diego. It was also a nice day so I was able to sit in front,enjoy my matcha while taking some pics. read more

Yes, it's a rose flavored latte but they can make almost any drink pink, even the matcha latte.
