    Delicious vege pizza with pepperoni.

Place was packed but service and food was great. Will definitely go back when in Cincy!

Had Mio's over 30 years ago, when they were in Hyde Park, and just moved to Anderson and saw them! They used to be one of my favorite pizza places. We ordered a large with 4 toppings and the toppings were so meager that we weren't sure they were all on there. My husband said nope! He didn't like it at all. Tried again the other night and ordered a medium Chicago style. Ha! I was given a medium pizza box and opened it up and saw this small 7.5" pizza that only took up half the box. I called and was told that that was the medium. $24 pizza that was only 7.5" wide! Then I tried to eat it and it was just gross! The sauce was super bitter and the crust really greasy. I couldn't even finish the first slice. I thought, ok, maybe I'm just tired. I put in fridge to try next day. First bite, nope! Still bitter and greasy. Will not be spending anymore money at this place. Super bummed. I guess things are better in our memories.

    Stuffed crust pizza!!!!

The ambiance is college kid oriented no problem tho because I come to eat..but the server wasn't that attentive. The drink wasn't nothing to brag about strength wise. But the pizza is pretty good. Nice hint of garlic...it was nice. The only reason I wouldn't come back is the college kids atmosphere just not me. There weren't any problems tho. But if you're looking for a good stuffed crust pizza this is your spot.

Our waiter forgot part of our order but he was super sweet. The pizza was just fine but there seemed to be a problem with flies inside the place. Not super excited to return in the future.

It had been awhile since I had been to this location so we had to come in for another lunch. They are most well known for their deep dish pizza and once again that's what we got on this occasion as well. Since I'm a big time carnivore we got the Meat Topper that come with pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon. Since it's a Chicago style deep dish the toppings were in the middle of the pizza with the sauce on top and crust on the bottom. With so many ingredients in there it was definitely a knife and fork pizza as it was thick as could be. It was so delicious as the plentiful toppings were super good as was their sauce and the crust more than held up its end down on the bottom. Every bite was a heavenly treasure. For an appetizer we tried their Pretzel Bites with Bier Cheese. The pretzels were really good and their version of bier/beer cheese was uniquely tasty. This location since it's in the middle of the city is quite lively and thus loud at times so definitely be aware of that although it's not outrageously so. The service was top notch and rounded out a sensational lunch.

I'm coming in hot with some strong opinions: 1) HOT TAKE: Mio's is underrated. 2) Chicago Style Pizza is WAY better than NY Style Pizza... honestly, it's not even close. 3) You can disagree with #2, but you shouldn't be allowed to vote. Okay, fine, you can vote...but you need to reevaluate your opinions on pizza. Chicago Style pizza is delicious and Mio's does it really well. To me, Mio's is pretty comparable with Giordano's. I might prefer Giordano's a little bit, but not by that much. The stuffed pies have a super generous layer of cheese and their sauce is delicious. Honestly, I've never had anything other than the stuffed pies from Mios. As delicious as they are... I'm not sure I need to order anything else. I've dined in before here too (though the picture below is from a delivery order) and the service has always been great. I'll definitely be back!

This is hard for me to write, I grew up in Cincinnati and went to Army in 1991. I served my country and loved the opportunity to meet ALL TYPES of people. Never have I met such a racist server, he was very frustrated with dealing with Black People. It was so apparent and very disheartening. Here all these people watching March Madness with Blacks shooting basketball, yet we didn't feel as we be BELONG. I have 2 stars because the food was good; but we felt very disrespected. We didn't leave tips due to the pain!! Please remember to remember "GREEN" is the important color when running a Business!!

The thin crust pizza was undercooked. How is that even possible? Toppings were minimal but yet there was a ton of cheese.

We had better service here than most "normal" sit down restaurants. And the food...not one item we have tried was bad, the vast majority have been the best in their category. Best mozzarella sticks: it's obvious it's a higher quality mozz than whatever everyone else uses. Crispy perfection! Best GF/cauliflower pizza: lots of toppings to choose from (though somehow chicken isn't an option on DD) and again, from the mushrooms to the sauce, you can taste the difference. They make the sauces in house! According to my husband, best Chicken Parm he has had since moving here! You get a healthy portion. And...best cannoli in the area! Growing up in a predominantly Italian and Polish area, I have been lucky to have REALLY good Italian pastries...and their cannoli was reminiscent of those times. This has been the ONLY cannoli in the greater Cincy area that is worth consuming, IMO. All in all, we would dine in at Il Gusto constantly, if we lived closer. Glad they're on DoorDash though! It was honestly so delicious, and oddly enough was even better reheated the next day! (Reheated great in a toaster oven) It also came out quicker than I expected. (With it being Chicago deep dish, I was prepared to wait!) We also got their appetizer sampler. The items were good, but the pizza balls definitely stood out! The dough was so fantastic and clearly homemade. It was perfectly buttery and flaky, yet firm structural. The sauce was also delicious. A must: pairing everythingggg with their house made ranch. My brother got a steak hoagie and was pretty disappointed when a small sandwich with a meat patty and a side of potato chips is what came out. It just didn't match the caliber of the pizza at all. We also got to Italian sub style hoagies, and those were both small and underwhelming as well. The dining room had a bit of a disheveled feel but I couldn't quite put my finger on what was off. The servers were attentive and kind. We parked at the Levee and walked over. Overall synopsis: I actually can't wait to get pizza here again!!!

The restaurant was clean and comfortable. They have outside seating, which could be nice in the right weather, though the area is just feet from the main drag. Our server was fine. I have no real recollection of them. We ordered a deep dish, looking to find a pizza as good as Zachary's in California. Bourbon House Pizza is not as good as Zachary's, but it is the best deep dish pizza we've tried in the Cincinnati area since we've been back in Cincinnati since 2021. We made our own pizza in an attempt to match our favorite - spinach and mushrooms. It was good. I enjoyed the sauce on top. Under the sauce, the cheese was very thick making the overall taste of the pizza very cheesy. We had a similarly cheese deep dish in Chicago. Our pizza at Bourbon House was better. I will say the crust is thick. I would have eaten the crust if there had only been two pieces per person. Since I was faced with potentially eating four pieces, I opted to skip the crust. One of our group asked if she could order from the kid's menu. The server had no issue with the request. Oddly enough, her meal was huge! We were all surprised it was a kid's meal. Our fourth ordered a small pizza. It looked like it had pineapple on it. I didn't ask how it was, but he ate every bite. It must have been a small and it was the perfect single serving size. Oh... we ordered a medium deep dish. It was eight pieces and was too much for two people. Because we were going to a show after dinner, we didn't box up the leftover two pieces. This size pizza would be great for four people to share. We will continue to look for great deep dish pizza, but we definitely found a good one at Bourbon House Pizza.
