Wanted to grace some pizza in a nicer place. From the pictures Padrino seemed to be more likable than other Cincy proper pizza places. Much of the pizza I've tried so far has been somewhat disappointing. Thankfully Padrino's does a great job of keeping the Cincy fluff with a crispy but not overly thin crust. I really I enjoyed my vegetarian though the olives took away from the rest, and I would have like a garlic shaker. The Mozzarella sticks were truly divine, I'm not a mozzarella guy outside of pizza so this was a welcome surprise. All in all I was certainly impressed. Also the fries did justice to potatoes by adding a nice along of breading without ruining it. The staff were really friendly and helpful as well. We came for lunch and had a great time!!! The place is cute and comfortable. Our server was awesome! We got the garlic knots which were fresh and a must get in my opinion. Their marinara sauce is just delicious. I got chicken parm and my son got the Cortez pizza and they were both SO good. The portions are generous. Also the bartender made us some great drinks. Only thing lacking is eggplant parmesan on the menu. That's what I'd get next time if they had it. read more

It was a nice day outside. We were excited to find that they had a really nice porch. It's a little bit of an odd set up, we didn't know whether to go in through the front door, or downstairs where there seem to be a party happening, or go up the steps. We chose the letter and then walked through the restaurant to find a hostess stand. It took about 15 minutes for someone to see that we were sitting outside as no one told her that we were sat. Ordered: vodka tortellini with a garlic knot and toscano pizza Our server was pretty busy but she was great- quick to get our order, checked in on us. The pizza was okay. The crust is really thin and crispy. There was a ton of toppings- essentially a meat lovers pizza. I couldn't really taste the sauce but it was pretty cheesy. The vodka tortellini was overwhelmed by the amount of garlic in the sauce that I couldn't taste anything else. The tortellini was filled with cheese. The garlic knot came out warm and was also generous with the garlic. Overall, my only memory is the taste of garlic throughout the whole meal. Stopped in on a Thursday evening and was quickly seated. The ambiance was a bit strange for a casual Italian spot. There were tiny test kitchen videos playing on the tvs which did not seem to fit the rest of the vibe. Swung by after seeing them on cincysavers. We got the vodka tortellini and the tuscano 10' pizza. The pasta had quite a bit of garlic with every bite and was very overwhelming I couldn't taste much else. The portions were very generous and enough for two to share. The tuscano pizza had a very hard and ticker crust and there was quite a bit of mozzarella and that it overwhelmed the meats. The service was pretty good and the restaurant had two story's with a cozy homey feel. Overall, not exactly where I would go if I was craving the best of each dish. read more

Even if you have reservations plan to wait a little bit. There is outdoor seating if the weather is right but it's a small dining room and a popular place. Great flavors in their pizza and salads. Nice bar area serving a decent selection of mixed cocktails and local beers. A few domestics are as cheap as $3-$5 for the local college crowd (or those that still drink like it) There are specials daily but I didn't get a pic of that. Our go to take out place with such a big variety of food. Sometime eat there as well. Such friendly service always. The dinning room and bar are all in one big room and nice vibe. The fried zucchini is amazing as is their spaghetti and meatballs. Also great salads. We have order many items and they never disappoint. Pizza is very good too. My sisters and I went to Padrino's today, December 5, 2025. We had two meatballs appetizer, followed by I had the pepperoni pizza and my sister-in-law had a pasta dish. We had very good service and the atmosphere was kind of laid-back. I also had two beers and my sister-in-law had two glasses of wine. This is the second time that we've gone there and I would recommend people giving it a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how good the food is and make a day regular stop. read more

Went in today for lunch, the place is very nice, our waitress was pleasant and the food was delicious. Since it was lunch, I shared the fried zucchini sticks which were so good and I had a chicken Caesar salad that was so delicious . This was our favorite takeout pizza place. Best pizza. Great price. Fast service. We were regulars. We ordered pizza weekly. We recommended this place to anyone who would listen. And then one week our pickup order was wrong. No biggie. Must be an off night. The next week we ordered a meatless pizza (we had a vegetarian guest). We got home and our pizza had meat on it. Uh oh. Another off night. The next week we received a pizza that was half cooked. Literally have raw and half cooked. We had to throw it away. We are off to find a new pizza stop. Ordered from Uber eats tonight. Meatballs on the hoagie had so much black pepper no one could eat them. My drunken goat pizza had virtually no sauce and no toppings on the 2-3" from the crust edge inward. It honestly was half a pizza. The food at Padrino is always amazing! They give very good service and generous portion sizes of their pasta. The chicken carbonara and the manicotti are probably my favorites but the pizzas are great too. And their food is very reasonably priced compared to other local italian joints. read more

So this place was solid for my family for a bit however took a turn for the worst when after separate horrible take out orders took an absurd amount of time not even on busy nights. I catered a dinner party for approximately 20 people from Padrino's last Friday night. We had lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, gluten-free pasta, garlic knots and Caesar salad. We were excited to try Padrino's, and decided to head there today. We got there right before the dinner rush and we were greeted by the Culinary Manager. He talked up the appetizer sampler and we decided to give that a try. At $19.50, it's a pretty steep price point considering the other prices. The mezzaluna and zucchini were quite tasty. The bread and meatballs were served cold. When we asked if that was supposed to be how they were served our server laughed and said no, said she'd get new ones, and left. She brought back the exact same meatballs, marginally warmer. I guess they went through the microwave. The meatballs were good--I imagine if they had been served hot and fresh, they'd be excellent. I got the kitchen special: turkey pesto grilled cheese with parm fries. I was given toast with smears of pesto that weren't detectable and the cheese was negligible. When I think grilled cheese, I think of melty, gooey deliciousness. I do not think of dry toast. My parm fries were warmish and not parm at all. My husband got the lasagna and it was quite good--served nice and hot. We'd have loved to have taken home the leftovers. Here's the thing: once we were served, we literally became invisible. We couldn't get refills. Our server did not ask how our food was, so I couldn't do anything about the toast which. We couldn't get a box to take home the rest of the lasagna. We struggled to even get the check! It took us getting up and going to the front counter (not something we'd normally do, but after sitting so long after a meal with kids, you can imagine there comes a point where that decision gets made). We were explaining the poor service to the girl at the counter (since she didn't get why we didn't have a check) who did not care or seek anyone else out. Suddenly, we reappeared to the waitress and she came over to tell us she got really busy and was given lots of tables. When we arrived, the place was empty except for maybe one other table. In the course of the time we were left there, the place filled up; however, there were plenty of other servers and a bartender. The Culinary Manager promised to knock our socks off when we got there. I guess he delivered since we weren't wearing any to begin with. There are a lot of great and good Italian places around. I wouldn't recommend this one. read more

Fantastic greeting upon our entrance to the restaurant first time dawning this hidden gem. Friendly wait staff with recommendations and very prompt with their service and the the atmosphere and food did not disappointed. The Alfredo was so delicious with a quaint little twist to accompany. If your looking for a causal off the beaten path eatery to have a cocktail and some great food you should find yourself here. My husband won a gift card to Padrino's Ft. Thomas location so we met there right after work on a Friday. While there were a few patrons when we arrived, the place was full of groups of friends and families by the time we left. It can get a little tight when packed. We were craving pizza and each of us fancied a different option. Padrino accommodated us by making a large half and half featuring our two choices - the Drunken Goat (vodka rose sauce base topped with goat cheese, bacon, mushrooms, capicola and cheese) and the Toscano (marinara based topped with capicola, pepperoni, meatball, bacon, basil and cheese). The pizza was tasty. I was happy with my drunken goat option. We ordered a large Caesar salad to share so we'd have some greens with our meal. The salad was mediocre at best. It seemed to come out of a salad kit and wasn't dressed enough. My husband ordered wine, which was pricey for the small pour he got. I had a fun beer from the decent selection of craft beers available. Service was attentive although our salad didn't come out until our pizza, making for a very crowded two-top table. All in all, it was an OK experience but with so many decent pizza options around, Padrino definitely has competition. They do offer pastas and sandwiches, which we didn't try. read more

We went on a Tuesday, so it was Trivia night. It was a little loud from this, but ok. The great food made up for it! We ordered the garlic knots, an LL salad, the lasagne, and an italian sub with fries. Everything was delicious! Garlic knots were warm and crusty and soft on the inside, LL salad was one of the best salads I've had, and the lasagne was very cheesy. It was also big enough I took 1/2 home for lunch the next day! Sub was hot and very good, and the fries were served with a ranch sauce that was very tasty. Finished off with a cannoli, which we took most of home, and it was also great. I was excited to try Padrino's, after reading some good reviews. We ate at the bar. The ambiance and service was pretty good; star for that. The pizza had crust that reminded us of a Table Water cracker, the sauce had no flavor, or we couldn't taste it, the little that there was. The sausage was crumbled and cooked too long, mushrooms were old, red onions....and, anyhow, it was a not so good pizza. (at all). We got the bill, $15 for pizza, and $2.00 and some change for EACH ingredient. - One beer, one wine, one small salad and a 15" cracker of a pizza, with a 20% tip - over $60.00. Outstanding food! We were able to get a reservation for 8 day-of which is difficult around the city- they squeezed us in later in the evening and it was so worth the wait. Highly recommend the chicken and spinach manicotti and the carbonara. They have a nice selection of wine and specials- on the menu this week was a great tomato bisque.
