It has comfy chairs and a nice big, but not too big, round table. The place filled up fast. It's a small, intimate place. The music was not reminiscent of Italy. And a large screen TV showing sports was also out of character for an Italian restaurant. We started with FOCACCIA - Allez focaccia, house-made ricotta, hot honey. I didn't count the pieces, but there were five when I took the picture. I imagine there were six. Regardless, the texture of the focaccia was perfect - crispy, light and airy. The ricotta/hot honey was fantastic. The app is good for a large group. I found one piece to be a perfectly sized bite. A Caesar Salad was ordered; we didn't taste it, but it looked good. Mark and I shared a PEPPERONI Pizza - San Marzano tomato sauce, aged mozzarella, spicy pepperoni. The bottom of the pizza was thin with the perfect crust. It was crunchy and delicious. No crust was left behind. We both enjoyed the sauce and pepperoni. A hungry person could put away a whole pizza, but splitting it (I think there were eight small pieces) was delightfully satisfying. We skipped dessert. When Mark and I go back, I think we'll have to try something off the dessert menu.

Yes, the restaurant is small, but anyone who has dined in a major metropolitan city will recognize that the intimate setting is completely comparable and so is the quality of the food. My husband and I wanted to sample more of the menu, but we were in a hurry, so we ordered the Margherita pizza and the bolognese. Both were delicious. The pizza had a beautifully thin, crispy crust, just like a traditional brick-oven Neapolitan pizza. You could immediately tell the sauce was made in-house, and the fresh basil and high-quality mozzarella brought everything together perfectly. The bolognese was clearly prepared with a rich, traditional ragù and was the star of the meal. I can't say for certain whether the pasta was made in-house, but the sauce was so flavorful and well executed that it honestly didn't matter. I also had the Fragola Spritz, which complemented the meal beautifully. Our server, Becky, was especially attentive and made the experience even better. If you haven't tried Trecento yet, I highly recommend it. We will absolutely be back and next time, we're making sure we have enough time to explore more of the menu.

The lunch and dinner menus are the same but they have a variety of daily specials. We kept it simple for lunch: a hamburger with fries and a veggie burger with Saratoga chips. The burger was big and tasty but the veggie patty didn't have much taste and the texture was too soft. It's not something I would order again. A soft drink and a beer (the place is also a brew pub) ran up a bill of $40. It's primarily an Italian place but there are several non-Italian choices from Fish & Chips to Rueben sandwiches. It has a nice, cozy ambiance and service was prompt and courteous. It could easily become my local hangout except it's just a little too far from my home. That being said I do plan to revisit and try some of their Italian fare. Free parking on the street or in their lot. Full bar.

The service was excellent - especially considering that they were so busy after BLINK! The pizza is good and portions are generous! The pepperoni was crispy and thickly sliced, which I enjoyed. The prices here are a bit spendy, but I understand a small restaurant nestled in downtown has to do what it can in order to survive. They walked us right in and we were seated at this high top share table. It was a beautiful wood and long enough to put a few small parties seated next to each other. Normally I wouldn't want to sit with neighbors like that, but we had a very nice woman next to us who talked a little bit with us and did her own thing. This place feels upscale! Was my son underdressed? Maybe. But overall that didn't stop us from enjoying a good meal. The moscato was flowing (it was a super sweet moscato and very chilled- how I really enjoy my moscato) and the service was impeccable. Super friendly and on top of things. Like I said our neighbor chatted a little. We learnt that she was a regular in town on business and she suggested the spicy spaghetti. So that's what I did. It was delicious! I usually stay away from the spice but it was just enough to still be enjoyable. AI have to admit, I had another highly rated Italian place on my list and was super bummed we couldn't get in but you know what- Forno was a great 2nd choice and I would suggest people make it their first choice. We started with a few appetizers: Calamari - Fried squid, olives, blistered shishitos, parmesan and red sauce with crushed herbs. Our dining mates enjoyed the squid. I tried one of the olives, which appeared to be fried. The olive was good; it did not taste like an olive, which made it interesting. Sesame Sourdough - Local seeded bread served with house red gravy and olive oil. Four huge wedges of sesame sourdough bread. The texture was very good. The dipping sauce was okay. I thought the pieces were too big. Everyone ended up tearing them in half. It might be better to serve eight smaller pieces. Oh, the red gravy looked and tasted like pasta sauce from a jar. I am not saying it was; I believe it was house-made, but we found it rather bland and nondescript. Potatoes - Crispy potatoes, garlic confit, Parmesan, and Calabrian chili mayo. Definitely the best bit of the night. These little potatoes were bursting with flavor. Highly recommend! Green Beans - Local green beans swimming in brown butter topped with lemon and almond crunch. Two folks really liked the green beans. I had one and maybe it was missing all the flavor of the rest of the serving, but for me it didn't sing. I was in the minority here. On to dinner... Mushroom Marsala - Casarecce with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, Marsala sauce, toasted breadcrumbs and crushed herbs. I had high hopes, but I found it boring. My nephew and I agreed something seemed to be missing. I also had Garlic Soup. I love garlic. When I cook I always feel more is better. I don't know about this soup. It was somewhat bland with an undertone of sharpness from the garlic. The garlic flavor was muted and again, it felt like something was missing, as if it needed just one more ingredient to elevate it to delicious. We all agreed salt and pepper on the table would have helped. We should have asked. Tomahawk Fried Pork - Crispy fried pork smothered in a spicy vodka sauce topped with hand-pulled mozzarella. My nephew's dish looked amazing. The flavor didn't match the beauty of the dish. See "something is missing" comment above. He also ordered a side dish of Crispy Garlic Alfredo - House linguine smothered in local cultured butter and parmesan, topped with Calabrian chili garlic crunch and chives. He was interested in this for dinner. Our server suggested having it as a side and he was all about that. He was thrilled he hadn't ordered it as his meal. He found it lacked flavor, even with the chili crisp. Spaghetti and Meatball - Classic spaghetti blanketed in our rich red gravy, topped with a tender, house-made meatball. Mark thought this dish was bland. Given the name of the sauce, it matched the flavor of the sauce served with the sesame sourdough bread. Oxtail Ragu - Oxtail and osso buco ragu served with macaroni rigati, topped with a mountain of Pecorino Toscano and fresh chives. My niece absolutely loved this dish! She raved about it and as the rest of the table mentioned being underwhelmed, she repeated her meal was outstanding. Given her review, I highly recommend this dish. Dessert: The gelato was outstanding. I believe Morgan said it comes from Golden Gelato. I had Salted Caramel and Mark had Mint Chocolate something or another. The melt factor was off the chart (this is a GREAT thing). They had six options. Budino - Rich chocolate pudding layered with candied hazelnuts and whipped cream. My niece loved it! Mark tried it and agreed it was delicious. Silky smooth and chocolatey, with punched up sweetness from the hazelnuts. Overall, not too sweet, but delicious! Panna Cotta - This was not on the menu. It had strawberries on top, a cookie crust and it sat on what I believe was a strawberry gelée (I had to look this word up and I do not know if that's what it was, but it conveys the texture). My nephew loved it and my niece would have licked the plate if we weren't in a restaurant. Overall, it was okay with flashes of good.

Unfortunately, the experience from the moment we sat down until we left was extremely disappointing. First, the soda from the main machine was consistently flat. After receiving flat soda multiple times, we eventually had to ask for refills directly from the bar because that was the only way to get a drink that was actually carbonated. We ordered an appetizer, a pizza, and an Alfredo fettuccine with breadsticks and a salad with ranch. Our server was Marlo. The pizza came out a full 20 minutes before my niece's pasta. When her meal finally arrived, it was completely incorrect. Instead of what we ordered, Marlo brought chicken Alfredo fettuccine with garlic bread and a Caesar salad. My niece's entire order was wrong, and it had already taken 20 minutes longer than our food to arrive. After we pointed out the mistake, Marlo did bring out the correct pasta and breadsticks--but it took another 15 minutes. By that point, my mom and I had already finished eating. My niece was essentially left waiting for her meal while the rest of us ate. Then, when we received the check, we were charged for the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and an additional dollar for the Caesar salad, neither of which was what we ordered. Marlo did not come back to our table for quite some time, so I eventually went up to McKenzie to have the bill corrected. She fixed the charges without me explaining everything that had happened, which I admittedly should have done. What was most disappointing was that, despite the incorrect order, the significant delay, the repeated drink issues, and the fact that my niece didn't receive her correct meal until my mom and I were already finished eating, there was absolutely no attempt to acknowledge or compensate us for the experience. Instead, the only explanation we received from Marlo was that "everyone is new." While I understand that people can be new and mistakes happen, that doesn't excuse the overall lack of communication or the way the situation was handled. We left feeling both rushed and ignored, and the experience was unnecessarily frustrating. Mistakes happen in restaurants, especially when it's busy, but what matters is how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, we did not feel that ours was handled well at all. For the price and overall experience, I expected much better and left extremely dissatisfied.

It really doesn't seem like you can go wrong with any of the options they featured. The cast iron focaccia is warm and fluffy and is paired with a rich olive oil where you can actually taste the high quality of olive oil. The mozzarella Caprese salad is an experience that you cannot pass up. If you're a meat lover, you have to indulge in the Fabio's waygu meatball, it's definitely large enough to share with 3 to 4 people having a bite or so each.
