Solid Italian restaurant. Cute vibe. Attached to a hotel which can always feel a little less-than but they did well to make it feel separate and still restaurant-y. Focaccia was good but would have preferred traditional butter over their hot honey flair. Did the bolognese and would recommend. Didn't skimp on meat sauce. Pizza was also wood fired and good. A solid 4.

Staff were amazing. Very helpful, polite and professional. Ambience is quaint and quiet. However it had 4 large tvs on the walls, so a quiet place to eat, but still able to watch the game. I liked it. Just different from the Italian restaurants we were used to. Cocktails were priced right and both very good. Meatballs for appetizers were very good. You get 3 meatballs and the sauce is fabulous. Entrees were plentiful and full of flavor. Short rib special was great. Pasta and peppers were a big hit also. Met the chef on the way out and she was kind to stop and share about the food. Valet parking offered, but a parking garage next to was just as easy. Will definitely go back.

I really wanted to like this place but the food is not seasoned at all. I've tried the Caesar salad and the gemelli and spice. Salad had barely any dressing, no cheese, and the croutons were soft. Gemelli and spice had maybe one tiny pepper but otherwise very bland. I will give them a try once their pizza oven is back up. But it seems to have been down since the first week they opened. Ok service. The inside is Instagram-y but left me lacking.

This place has potential to grow . It's in the downtown banks area. It's not terrible but not great. It's small and I will say nice, but reservations will be needed as it picks up. I had the casarecche with ricotta hold the sausage. It was just okay .i had to add pepper to the pasta. They will have the oven going for the pizza starting next week so I didn't get to experience it yet. It's a well decorated space and I can see hosting a a party here if the food improves . They have valet and street parking. I will try it again but they have a few kinks to work out.

Located downtown at 3rd and Main, this is an italian restaurant located downtown. One disappointment was a listing for lunch and dinner for Restaurant week and only dinner was offered. Service was slow for lunch time. They didn't have a bottle of wine listed on the menu ( of all wines not to have, a Sangiovese). No big deal but still not a good thing. Note to manager on that as well. The bolognese was pretty good, and the casarecce and spice was good as well. The pasta seemed a little undercooked but was still tasty. They take reservations and parking on street or nearby garages.if you do decide to dine here, they offer 1/2 plate and full plate orders... a full will feed two people.... or one BIG guy. One last mention... when my wife made the reservation, she noted this lunch was for my birthday. It was probably overlooked . Heck, as I said before, not a big deal .

We went to Trecento for lunch on their opening day, we did not have to wait long for a table & I did enjoy the open door concept - perfect for a nice day! 2 friends and I split the Caesar salad, half order of cacio e Pepe, wood-fired pizza, and fries. It was a great amount for us! The half order of cacio e pepe is very generous and really was the star of the show- it was so good. The Caesar salad was nicely dressed/had a good amount but I wish it had a little more flavor- the croutons were great though! The wood-fired pizza may have been a teeny bit under cooked in the middle but it honestly was still really good! We had a great experience- I am looking forward to coming back in the future as I know opening day is always hectic but they did a great job!

Rounded up from a 7/10. I had high hopes but was a bit let down by this place. The service was good and the inside was cute. I just think the menu needs some work. The pizza oven was down, which I knew about in advance and I appreciate them texting me to let me know prior to the reservation. I figured I'd be fine with the pasta. However, I ordered the Cacio E Pepe and wasn't really a huge fan. It mostly tasted overwhelmingly of oil and pepper. Definitely needed a little more cheese to balance it out. The portion size was good. This is usually one of my favorite dishes but I would not order it again unless they revised the recipe. My friend got the Gemelli and Spice and I believe hers was better. If I return, I'll probably try the pizza. I also thought the menu just needed a few more options in general, as it's pretty small. The drinks were also pretty expensive at $16 and there were only 3 cocktails to choose from. I ended up ordering a cocktail off the menu. I hope this place can make some needed adjustments and would be happy to return if they update a few things. Also would love if they had parking suggestions on their website. All of the lots I'd planed on parking in were blocked off or full and I ended up parking under the Reds stadium, so I'd give yourself extra time to get to your reservation if driving in.

The space is open, bright and well decorated making it very inviting for brunch. You order at the counter from the menus placed along the wall then food is delivered to your table. The various brunch items all sounded very inviting so I was having trouble deciding what to order. So I got a recommendation to try the Shakshuka. Not sure how to pronounce it but when it arrived it was just the right portion and quite tasty for brunch. It's a bowl with a red pepper sauce and feta cheese and kale along with eggs sunny side up. The dish is served with pita so you can do a little bit of dipping in the tasty sauce. To accompany our food we selected the mimosa service and bloody mary pitcher. A pitcher is just perfect for sharing. And the mimosa service was delightful. The server arrived with a bottle of Prosecco and small carafes of orange, grapefruit and blood orange juices to mix yourself. The food was fresh and tasty with prompt delivery of our food to our table. Not quite a full service restaurant since you have to order at the counter but still a nice experience located downtown.

Wow! What a way to spend our 1 year wedding anniversary! I loved this place…read more It has been a few months since eating here but I still find myself thinking about it. Our next trip to Cincinnati; It will be extremely difficult to stay away from here. We spent the day in Newport and around Cincinnati and wanted somewhere nice for the occasion. I was iffy on this place at first... you can throw a rock all over America and hit a place with 'Barrel' in the name these days. The Yelp reviews swing both ways here but I'm here to tell you my take... because it swings so far towards the 5 stars that it's very much a 6 or 7 star place(maybe more). We gauged our arrival time based on other activities that day. We wanted ample time at the nearby Lego exhibit so when we arrived there, we made a reservation for 4:30-5. Eating early and making our way back to Louisville was a great idea. The entire time we were there, no one else came in so we had the entire place to ourselves(It was a Friday). The atmosphere is homey but during busy times, I could see it being noisy. The booths could easily fit 6 people comfortably... probably 8 in some cases depending on how wide some of you are. Special Note: This place highlights The Parrillada Experience for Two on their menu and we wanted it! We didn't order it because at a price tag of 130-and pictures online, we didn't want it to be a failed outing. After our first trip, The Parrillada Exp will be on the agenda next time. It's a mixture of different steaks, sausages, shrimp, sides, and salads. Definitely worth the cost. On to the food: Sausage App - Argentine Chorizo. Farmhouse Sausage. Grilled Ciabatta. Hearts of Palm. Green/Red chimichurri. Pepper Relish. I don't like ordering this type of dish when I go places because you never know if it's going to be delicious or very bad. It ended up being super delicious. We couldn't make up our mind which sauce we liked the best and which meat we liked the best. App PERFECTION! Land and Sea - This is what my wife went with. Asada Skirt Steak. Jumbo Shrimp. Asparagus. Red chimichurri butter. I had bites of the shrimp and it was good. I had to save room for my dish. Wagyu Denver Cut - I went back and forth. Lobster ravioli being on the menu almost made my decision instant but I was going back and forth between ravioli, steak, and a few other things. I asked the server which he recommended of the 4 Chef's cuts. He recommended two... one of which was the Wagyu so I went with it. I wasn't disappointed AT ALL. He mentioned that the Wagyu Denver Cut was a new addition to the menu... I'm not sure but you could definitely tell it was cooked, arranged, and presented with care. I savored every angle of every bite. We also ordered a side of brussels because of course! Originally we were going to dessert somewhere else but went ahead and ordered the Hazelnut Vanilla Creme Brulee here. Perfect ending to the meal. This brulee was light and had the right amount of crunch. It was also larger than expected. We had no complaints with this place. Easily one of the better restaurants I've had in Cincinnati. If you're doubting visiting this place, take the dive! Other notes: They have beer and a small cocktail variety but they primarily seem focused on wine(plenty of options to choose from).

The drink was so good I had three... and I regret nothing. They were also running a pre fixed menu at a great price, and every stop on it absolutely slapped. The good first, though: Whatever the flaws in its business model, Green District still turns out well-conceptualized salads that always seem fresh and tasty. The Hide & Go Greek is a very nice chicken one with a robust, terrific dressing. The Thai One On salad is (you guessed it) an Asian-influenced one with shrimp, lots of cabbage and cilantro, and a kind of generic but fresh-tasting Asian-style ginger-heavy dressing. Also very good. Fortunate thing you can order online and don't have to verbalize those unwieldy salad names to a fellow human. (But if you think those names are bad, another one wants you to hold its beer: the Tequila Mockingbird.). Anyway, the food gets this to three stars, but only barely. Alas, the service at this location is a shambles. Count on at least a 35-minute wait, even if you order right after 11am, when things presumably ought not to be backed up. And it looks like chaos back there--just not enough employees back there, most likely. Last time it took this restaurant an incomprehensible 50 minutes to get my salad out. (Who with a regular lunch "hour" downtown has time for this?) Credit to the unflappable and put-upon young fella at the end of the line; he kept doing his job steadily and kept cheerful about it. The manager is always madly rushing about and isn't nearly as cheery (but it almost certainly isn't her fault, either). It astonishing that the food can be is good as it is in this environment. There's something very wrong about this restaurant's business model when the family-run lunch spot down the street (seemingly just as many orders) can crank out your to-go salad (as good as here, for the most part) in three to five minutes and be as friendly as they can be about it. Whoever came up with the plan has some major issues to resolve.
