Korean corn cheese
Oneya O.

Wayfarer tavern is receiving a ton of love right now. I'm happy to report that it is all well deserved. We ordered three pizzas for five people and had leftovers to take home. Our favorite was the Korean corn cheese. Who knew that gochujang was the perfect pizza topping. The spicy, pungent sauce cut through the cheesy pizza in a way that is so craveable. We also had the meatwad, which the carnivores among us really enjoyed and the potato truffle rosemary. The potato pizza was more subtle that I would have expected, but in a good way. It was like having a bread course in addition to the pizzas. Great service and suggestions from our server. Also, our reservation changed from 3 to 5 people the day before we were to dine- the hostess went out of her way to accommodate us. The dining room is super loud, so save your intimate conversations or ask for a table outside.

Great little place in Dayton, KY. Old building with a great bar. Two rooms plus outdoor patio that gets afternoon shade. We sat outside and our server was very attentive even though they have to go out the front door to get there. Only two beers on tap, but others in cans/bottles. Lots of wine options. Full page of cocktails. The pizza was awesome. Perfect crust. We shared the seasonal summer corn elote pizza. Perfect taste and spice. We started with the beef carpaccio and summer watermelon and tomato salad. I would highly recommend both. Definitely a place I will visit again.

Ok, I started with a wine from the Piedmont that was crisp and perfectly chilled while my husband had a Dayton Handshake that included a Miller Highlife and a well bourbon shot (other shots available if you are not a bourbon fan). It was busy for a Wednesday so our salad was slow in coming, but we really enjoyed the watermelon, tomato, feta when it arrived. It was so fresh! I'm vegetarian and my husband is flexitarian, but none of the veggie specialty pizzas grabbed him, so we went our separate ways. He got the Tavern Classic and I went for the Al limone Rapini. Our server, who was attentive and professional even though he was in his first week, told me the Calabria peppers were spicy, so I had them on the side. Next time, I'd have them on the pizza- the balance is perfect! All in all, we really enjoyed our evening and look forward to returning, although we'll probably share a create-your-own next time. What a cool addition to Dayton, Kentucky's renaissance!

Stopped in here earlier on a Friday evening just ahead of their rush(with lots of people waiting what looked like awhile for a table). We've been meaning to get here as all of our friends have raved about it. It's nestled all the way down the adorable business-filled Sixth Street in Dayton, KY. We struggled to find the parking lot that was mentioned and just took an easy spot on the street. I recommend getting a salad, drinks, and/or starters as the pizza takes awhile to come out, but is so worth it. We made the mistake of not ordering enough at the beginning and had to wait extra long when we opted to order a second one mid-meal. Don't be like us, order lots of pizza to start. It's so good, trust me, you'll want more.

Food was SO good. Pizza tasted fantastic. Hot honey & pepperoni tasted good but the fan favorite was definitely the hot lemon ricotta. Service was great!

Wayfarer Tavern is one of the best neighborhood spots in Dayton. The atmosphere hits that perfect balance of cozy and lively -- warm lighting, friendly regulars, and staff who actually treat you like they're glad you showed up. It feels like a true community tavern.

This is a special of theirs the All' Amatriciana.

This is a special of theirs the All' Amatriciana. Delicious! That's all I will give you. But I will also share that the staff and bartenders are amazing, chill, and welcoming. The focaccia bread is worth the trip alone (sorry I didn't photo it) . The vibe in here is upscale but not pretentious. You can eat upscale food and fancy bev but also feel chill at home vibes. Love everything about this place! It's so great to see quality food coming in to Dayton, ky! The interior is fun and cozy, we loved the bar area and the food was delicious! The carpaccio was some of the best we've had in cincy! We also loved the crispy pizza crust! We tried the staff pick of the month and it had pepperoni and hot honey.

Caesar salad
Kristin P.

This place is soooo good! The Caesar salad was phenomenal and full of flavor. The toasted breadcrumbs and Caesar dressing that came with it had us begging for more. We had the classic tavern pizza and fully planned on taking some home, but my husband and I CRUSHED it because it was that good. We are already planning another trip back so we can try a different pizza!

How big are the pizzas? Menu does not say? 12 inches? 16? 24?

I believe they are 12". The two of us each had a salad and split one pizza. Salads are generous. We brought some pizza home one night. Another night we were hungry!

Lots of authentic tiki vibes and lots of great drinks! This was all so a really great place to talk to locals and enjoy an easy-going good time! You can bring in food from any of the surrounding restaurants. We got a group cocktail that would be for 3 to 5 people. When it came out, we were disappointed with the size, but I can tell you that that drink sure gave a punch! We were happy with everything about this place! You won't be disappointed.

I asked for their signature Bang Bang Barrel but was informed that I could only order from the sponsored menu, I was prepared to buy mugs, merchandise and several drinks but after that we were a bit put off. Within the first 15 minutes the bartender also set off the fire alarms with a flaming drink so we had to wait outside for a bit until the fire department shut off the smoke alarms. I've been to several Tiki Bars in California and other locations, this one is pretty low on the Tiki Pole for me unfortunately. If it wasn't so far of a drive I would give them another chance but at this point I would rather just go to Nashville or Indianapolis for my Tiki Fix.

They made it work for us and were very accommodating. The food menu served was brunch. The menu was simple, but they had a lot to offer. I would best describe southern soul food. Very reasonable in pricing and the drink menu had a great selection as well. My fiancée and I ordered: Drinks: -Pinot noir -Manhattan -Espresso Martini Brunch: -Grilled salmon with side of onions & potatoes - Shrimp and grits For it being super busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food. It was fabulous. My salmon was grilled perfectly. The hot honey went very well with my salmon. The potatoes were delish. My fiancée really enjoyed his shrimp and grits. He mentioned that the shrimp was on point. I tried my friend's French toast . Wow! That was amazing. Nina was our server and she was great! Very polite and attentive. She was working really hard. I want to give her huge props. I highly recommend coming here. The DJ really knows his music and everyone was having a great time. That's all that matters, Right!? Great place!

If you reserved a spot for 5 or more people you received a free bottle of wine. I kept asking our waitress what the free bottle was and she kept saying she'll ask but never came back and told me the answer. After an hour we received our free bottle. My drink came out 30 mins before the rest of my group and then some of the food even made it out because others had their drinks. I ordered lamb chops and wings my lamb chops came out but my wings never did. I asked about them 5 times and finally they came out as my group was ready to leave (2 hours later). I told the waitress I didn't want them anymore and I was excited to try the apple bourbon sauce. They ended up coming out I told the waitress I didn't want them anymore because I've waited so long and she took them back and said "well you should have told me before I went back there to ask about them. I was waiting in the back for them and told them to make them fresh for you" and then she took the wings back and didn't offer any compensation. I then went to the bar and asked this sweet lady named Q for a manager a manager came out faster than I expected and handled the situation with grace. As far as my waitress goes I understand the frustration with kitchen being slow but please don't take it out on me. I'm very understanding. Also they no longer have hookah. My first experience here was definitely better than my 2nd experience and I'm not sure if there will be a 3rd.
