I always come here thinking my experience will be better than before but it's always about the same. Don't get me wrong they do have some great drinks but it feels like they take your order, forget you're there and then you get your drink 20mins later. If you're stopping in to get a drink before heading to a show or dinner I wouldn't count on fast efficient service. It's always a friendly vibe inside and there's always a ton of people but even when I came in with only 2 other people there it took 15mins to get my drink. The drink is always great but the price of my drink feels a bit steep for the small drink I receive. I keep wanting to go back to think it was just a bad night but consistently they have slow service no matter how packed or empty they are.
If you're near the intersection of Gilbert and East McMillan, there is a quaint and quiet cocktail bar...King Pigeon. Modern vibe with a casual atmosphere. Service is good and they have a good cocktail list. Parking on the street and a small parking lot next to Fireside Pizza on East McMillan . They do offer a lite menu.
long story short: a cute spot for good drinks We went to King Pigeon to celebrate a birthday & we had a great time! I brought a cake & they were very accommodating. which was much appreciated. Our server had great knowledge of the menu & was able to specifically recommend cocktails based on our individual preferences. The vibe was very warm, with lots of cool lighting & good music. As for drinks, I got the grasshopper & really enjoyed it. I tried my friends' drinks & also liked them, especially the golden hour mocktail. They gave us thai spiced cashews, which were delicious, & my friend ordered dumplings, which she said were good. Overall, King Pigeon is a great place to enjoy drinks & spend time with your friends. I will be going back!
We live nearby and honestly don't go to King Pigeon enough. We finally made it back after their grand opening about a year ago and caught the tail end of Happy Hour before their Wednesday night jazz. The Pigeon in Pigalle was fresh and tart, with layered flavors from the tequila, cacao, lime, and bitters. The Fractured Fruit Highball was sweet, summery, and super refreshing, with a light kick from the Sichuan peppercorn foam. The setup for jazz makes you feel like you're in the front row for the performance, definitely immersive. We'll definitely be back more often.
This place is awesome. I came early on a Sunday and it was so peaceful. The barista was friendly and was able to give great recommendations. I got the special - a salted miso caramel latte. It was AMAZING. Also ordered some banana bread and it was very good as well. There is plenty of seating and it's quite comfortable. I will be back some evening to try their cocktails!
King Pigeon is on point for cool staff and delicious drinks. I patronized during the day while they are serving beautifully crafted lattes and teas. The playlist was a vibe. Great place to meet a friend or work from home. The bar energy is a nice touch for keeping it classy being alone or with your peers. Enjoy!

Popped in before dinner for drinks on Friday night. Parked right out front of the spot and breezed in. After being warmly greeted by the host, we parked at the bar. The place is beautiful. Love the design choices and the blue notes. A big table carved into the back wall looks great for a group. The drinks take awhile for the staff to make, so prepare yourself. However the wait is definitely worth it. Loved every drink we had. The French 75 was light and crisp. The Peardon my French was tasty and not overly sweet. I'm not a huge rum person but would highly recommend the hibernation sour. The bit of salt and spice was fantastic. Can't wait to come back. I want to try their daytime coffee and food menu.
"Good Vibes" is posted outside their window, and all I can say is, they live up to their motto. Stopped by this morning for a warm drink/food with the frigid air and snow outside. And boy did they absolutely deliver. The space you walk into is modern, colorful, and inviting. Plenty of seating for groups, dates, or solo. Their drink menu is displayed prominently along the back wall. You order at the counter which becomes a cocktail bar in the evening. I was welcomed with a smile and an explanation of their food offerings. I opted for the chai and northern Thai breakfast sandwich. The chai was delicious -- fragrant and smooth, the spiced powder to finish added a welcome savory note. Now for the breakfast sandwich -- the flavors on this thing are absolutely incredible. The Sai Ua patty with Thai spices and lemongrass provided depth of flavor and just enough heat. The crispy shallots and perfectly fried egg with runny yolk, all on top of Allez bread.. literal perfection. Only wish it came with the other half of the sandwich because I would absolutely devour the whole thing. All in all, I was very impressed by King Pigeon. Solid spot to check out if you're looking for a new spot to start your mornings. Excited to come back to try their evening menu offerings!
Great vibe, excellent cocktails. Was a little loud with a DJ in a small space (maybe wouldn't reco for a first date or catch up with an old friend- as it was hard to talk). Still, would def visit this spot again! Bread with pesto and garlic toppers were awesome.
Visited on a Wednesday night at 6:30 PM - the place was ~670% full and we had made a reservation to be safe, but it would not have been needed. We sat at a high-top in the back of the space which allowed us to take everything in. All the decor is simple, but stylish. They restored as much of the original ornate ceiling as possible which was great to see. Sitting a table we had servers come to us which was a nice touch and they provided us water immediately which was greatly appreciated - for drinks we opted for the Bright Sun (Non-Alcoholic) which was very flavorful and the aquafaba was a fun touch; the Abi Road which was PACKED with flavor; along with the Umami Old Fashioned and Brooklyn which my partner said were both great whiskey/bourbon cocktails as well. Overall we thought that each cocktail was worth the $12-$14 price due to presentation and taste. We did not expect for there to be food options based on our research online, but they did have a small snacking menu, along with beer/wine menus that were not posted on their website. We opted for the carrot dish ($13) that came with labneh and sprinkled with pistachios and various seasonings like thyme and sesame seeds. We were pleasantly surprised with how flavorful and beautifully presented this was as well. The King Pigeon artwork/logo and menu alone are something worth coming to see and read if you want a quick chuckle, and the cocktails are definitely worth staying for - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We had a great experience here and are excited to add it to our list of spots we like to visit!
I took advantage of the nice weather and walked to the new local cafe/bar King Pigeon. I think my favorite part about this place is the seating options. It was nice being able to hang out at the bar while I enjoyed my americano, but all the other spots looked nice for conversations. Coffee was good and they had wifi - I'll definitely be back.
[coffee review] Dropped by King Pigeon on a Saturday morning for a coffee and a snack. My ZqPeppermint mocha (it's the holiday season!) was very tasty and daughter's iced matcha latte was excellent; both aesthetically presented. It was a late morning visit and we snagged the last pastry, a delicious coffee cake slice from Allez bakery. The space is modern/vintage and our server was fantastic. Parking on the side street was no problem. read more

A quick morning coffee date with my daughter who is in from college. I enjoyed the chai which they make themselves! That is factor that bumped my rating from 3 to 4. Not too many in the area make their own chai mix. Bravo. Street meter parking surrounded by loads of commercial construction. This location is experiencing an abundance of development. The service was prompt and helpful. Retro styled decor and seating surrounded by high ceilings. It's a bit cold in this room. We will return to try the evening cocktails. read more
We had a blast checking out King Pigeon today for the first time. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and super informative about the menu. The space is small with only a few small tables but there's also bar & occasional seating as well. Between the 2 of us we ordered the Cappuccino, Cold brew (a single origin Mexican bean that was smooth and delicious), the Spiced Pear & Candied Fennel Scone (surprising with a sweet but also savory vibe), and the Thai Breakfast Sandwich (mouthwateringly delicious & complex in its flavors with the over easy egg cooked to perfection). I honestly can't wait to go back to try more of the espresso & food menu! And also want to check out their evening shift to cocktail bar & bites! *We devoured the scone too quickly to snap a pic! But just believe me that it's worth a visit for that alone! read more
Amazing craft cocktails. I honestly think you could find anything on this menu or convince them to make it if you can't find it. Cool vibe and decor, great music and ample seating. I'm sure it gets very crowded, but managed to get in quickly late on a Saturday. Had the Irish Office/Coffee off the cold weather menu, which is one of the best balanced cocktails I've ever had. Can't wait to see what they come out for their warm weather menu. read more

king pigeon is that girl!!!! the coffee is great! the service from baristas is incredible! the food is pricey, but filling n delicious! and the SPACE? my god! even the bathrooms are gorgeous!! king pigeon is conveniently (and dangerously) located right across the street from my apartment so im in here at LEAST once a week and it never misses haven't been for a late night cocktail evening here yet, but hopefully soon! read more
Ambiance is beautiful. The wimsy and story are lovely - it's a great date spot. Caution - this place has one sandwhich and some sides. Don't expect dinner. The night we came the sandwhich was off the menu and the other 3 offerings were carb based sides. If you need protein to drink, go to Gomez across the street first:) I ordered the hibernation fizz. It's a beautiful cocktail. It was more sweet than its placement in the flavor map. I would drink this at brunch like an aperol spritz. Nice cocktail, poor food selection. Just know what you want and be sure that it's mostly cocktails! read more

The coffee was phenomenal and as good as it was I have to say the stand out for me was the breakfast sammies. I got the Northern Thai sandwich and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. My wife got the regular breakfast sandwich and it was also really flippin' good. The building feels large and spacious but the register set up was a wee bit confusing. It's tucked back in the corner and the menu was only on the counter next to it. The staff were great though! read more

So far so good! I just popped in for a quick coffee before meeting a friend... the hours posted on Yelp have since been updated. But there is a transition time between day time and evening service. At the risk of sounding like a total mess, I don't really know what the situation is here in terms of when which menu starts/when they are closed or just doing limited options or if I'm committing a faux pas by being here at 3:30p? I don't know, I'm sorry, don't be mad at me. That said, the drip coffee is delicious and the rumor is they serve bread from Allez - which is my absolute love language. Allez rocks. The space itself is fun with light wood punctuated by dark blue and gold furniture and a camel colored booth along one wall. As per the norm in this neighborhood, the ceiling is vaulted and accented with tin (a total plus in my opinion). As they get popular, they might want to consider adding some sort of entryway drape/divider/etc bc whenever the door opens it lets in a big burst of air. Also, word of caution: Cincinnati Parking Enforcement is alllll over these streets so don't even consider a parking infraction or even venturing here with expired tags. You will be ticketed! Updated: they do the morning menu from open until 2ish and then dinner menu starts at 5 and goes until 10ish. Then Sunday only they have brunch. Menu subject to change. read more

Flavors are great (subbed avocado for sausage) but the size of the bread and sandwich are substantially smaller than before. I hope they keep their level of standards moving forward. Vibes are chill and service is friendly. read more

12/10 banana bread, 12/10 ambiance for a sunny Sunday morning, got a dirty chai to go and the chai tasted like someone had hand roasted the spices and made everything from scratch. Deliciousness and perfect. Highly recommend. read more

Super yummy cocktails. Ordered the espresso martini off menu and I honestly think it's one of the best in Cincy! Also loved the Crime of Passion. Zo was a great bartender! They have very unique cocktails and knowledgeable/welcoming staff. Will have to come back during the day for coffee + food. A great addition to Walnut Hills! read more
