Tokyo Pie is definitely not your typical pizza spot, and honestly, that's what makes it so fun. We went in not really knowing what to expect, but the flavors completely surprised us, in the best way. They incorporate things like umami, miso, shiso, and even wagyu. We really enjoyed the Kinoko pizza and would recommend the Ebi for seafood lovers! What really stood out too was how friendly and helpful the manager was. And of course, the vibe pulled us in right away. The neon lights and that insane hand-painted mural make the whole place feel super lively and unique, definitely an Instagram-worthy spot. It's one of those places you go to not just for the food, but for the whole experience

I ended up doing a takeout order for this place. I really wish I had an opportunity to dine in, but I was passing through Cincinnati and had to stop by when I saw a Japanese pizza fusion place. The cocktails also just looked incredible. The ambiance was nice and had a very thematic Japanese atmosphere. I ordered a Grilled Cheese Hand Pie and a Kinoko Pie. The hand pie was good but didn't have any cheese pull, and not really sure if it should. The only time I got the "chili crisp" was in the beginning from the tongue of the fish sticking out. I kind of wish I got the other hand pie in comparison. Nevertheless, if I come back, I'd love to try to Taiyookie. I love mushrooms so when I saw the Kinoko, I wanted to give it a try. The "Japanese mushrooms" were almost like Enoki, but I wasn't too sure. It tasted pretty good and the pizza had a good chew too. I probably made 3 meals out of the single pizza so value for price was pretty great. There's a few more pizzas I'd love to give a try if I stopped by again. I recommend you go!

Came for the first time during pizza week as their pizzas all sound very unique compared to others and I love the Japanese themed bar vibes it showed on its site. It's definitely a lovely and loud place with music on and they have many screens showing all the different sports games. Space inside is limited and narrow with a few smaller tables and chairs at the bar. They have some larger patio space as well. It's first come, first serve seating so if you have a larger group it may be difficult. I came with a friend so was just 2 of us and we found a spot at the bar after about 5 min waiting. The Japanese pizzas are made with 72 hour resting dough and it's a very light and airy crust. The toppings are what make it even more interesting and unique. The pizza week special was tasty but the corn takes up most the flavor and I didn't really get any miso flavoring. I like how thin and airy the pizza is and the 10inch is definitely filling for 1 person. I ate about half and had leftovers. I wish they had made this one of the menu items as those all sounded really interesting. I will definitely have to be back and try one of the classics on their menu. I can't wait to try the Sōsēji b/c the Umami red sauce sounds interesting and I love shishito peppers. The wagyu sausage sounds amazing. I also want to try the Kinoko with Japanese Mushrooms and a white miso sauce. The Toasted Bene Seeds also sound interesting as a combo. The staff is super attentive and friendly. We got our orders in right away for food and drinks. I ordered the Yuzu Aurora first. It was absolutely delicious with a balance of sweet and tart. The passion fruit foam was perfect so that you got the flavor with every sip as it sat on top. I could drink an entire pitcher of this. The next cocktail I got was the Sakura Ember. I liked the Yuzu one better but this was still unique and fun. Not too sweet but a bit more tart from the lemon. The pink sugared rim balanced the flavors as well. I definitely want to be back to try the Golden Matcha next. My friend got the Tokyo Smoke which they smoke inside a box so it's a really fun thing to watch and adds the perfect smokiness. I am less of a whiskey person than gin and vodka cocktails so stick to that. I think you can't go wrong with any of the cocktails there. I also loved the music they were playing and they showed the music videos on a large screen as well. It's definitely a nice place to check out but if you're looking for a cozy intimate setting this is probably on the louder end but a great way to spice up the night and get energized.

This place is such a vibe! A nice refreshing spot, very much needed in NKY! These Japanese fusion pizzas are amazing, unique combination of ingredients blended with a traditional dough. Cocktails are peculiar too, the mix of ingredients is fun and unusual! Totally worth trying (been there already twice!). This is a self-served spot, so you order and pick up all the food and drink items directly at the counter.

I LOVE it here! I learned that it is owned by the same owner of Agave and Rye and SOB, which made me love it even more. I find the ambiance is super cool in all of these establishments and the staff is even cooler, welcoming and downright dedicated to providing awesome service. Anyway, a friend brought me here because she loves pizza. lol I tried the Ebi (garlic shrimp) pizza as well as their version of a smoked old fashioned. Everything was DELICIOUS. I will return often with my son who will especially appreciate the anime theme and scene. Such a fun place!

She has done it again. Yavonne Sarber, the mastermind of Agave & Rye and SOB found a way to bring Japan to KY. The decor is the signature spray painted murals. You feel like you are in a small Tokyo restaurant. The cocktails are so detailed and sophisticated. The pizza, the crust is fantastic, light and airy and the toppings are like nothing around. We sat at the bar for lunch and had great conversation with the bartender. It was not very busy so a great time to go. I would assume as it gets later in the day into evening there could be quite a wait, but well worth it.

Arrived and were the only people there. Bartender was excellent and went through menu. Like others say, mostly self service but he brought the drinks over. Cool vibe on the inside. Thought drinks were excellent. I had the highball with great flavor. Forgot what my friends had. I got the sausage pizza which was way off putting. I'm not sure what the flavor I was tasting but not good. Buffalo was actually pretty good. Overall, just soso.

Everything was fresh, made to order & packed with delicious flavors that are sure to have you coming back for more!! Now open in Covington! Step into their electric, Tokyo-inspired vibe and sip on a beautifully crafted cocktail while you try their signature Japanese pizzas The Kinoko -- a white miso base topped with roasted Japanese mushrooms. Don't skip the side sauces (the Umami Red was our fave and a must for next time!) We finished with a shareable Taiyaki, a Japanese grilled cheese hand pie -- a great sweet-and-savory bite! Would love to see more creative vegetarian friendly items !

Such a fun cool place! Emma was a bartender and she made the best drinks! Her personality was over-the-top. We went there for happy hour and enjoyed the fish cheesy pies for happy hour in the special pizza for $12 which was hot honey pepperoni love love love this place. The ambience is over the top. It's kind of weird. They serve everything and throw away plates, etc. but I head over it. You should try it!

We went on a Monday night and it wasn't busy. The place looks really cool. You place the order at the bar, and then they bring it out to your table. All the food and drinks we had were delicious but the Tokyo Flame was my favorite out of what we had.

Wow this place is a whole vibe! We were lucky this place was open and still had food available. We been driving around and everywhere else stopped serving food. The staff was friendly and you order and view the menu through a QR code. The decor was perfection, looked like a busy city life and they had some great music playing. I ordered a beer and we got a pizza and dessert. We got the Kinoko which was a miso sauce with cheese and Japanese mushrooms, toasted seeds and charred scallions and a Taiyookie which is a Japanese hand pie with cookie dough inside and it came with a Carmel sauce. The pizza was its crisp crust and earthy flavors with the mushrooms and miso sauce didn't last long. Completely devoured and they Taiyookie was the best thing I have eaten in a while, warm with the Cookie dough filling gave it the sweetness and the caramel sauce was perfection. If we are ever back in the area this is a place I would definitely stop at.

Be aware it will be FAST. Look at the order ahead of time if you're a picky eater/drinker. They run your appointment like clockwork, and you'll be in-and-out, gulping down cocktails, through the entire experience. Your two drinks are included (this year, anyway), and I'd honestly be surprised if you managed to have time for a third. Time zips by fast. That being said, because they do it this way, you essentially have constant service, there's "events" that happen at the end of your reservation time, (I don't want to spoil it, but cover your drink!), and then they kick you out. Service was friendly, though, and I saw the server make time to take group photos for all of the tables (including ours) with someone at the table's camera. (No bullshit "group photo" upsells here) It's kinda loud, though, and I wouldn't recommend this as a chill meet-up-and-socialize spot. (If you wanna talk, they have an addendum, Christmas-themed laid-back bar next door.) It's more of a "get blasted in the face by Christmas for an hour and then leave" experience. It's pretty loud, and talking can be a bit difficult over the music and constant interruptions (more drinks? Photos? Cute Christmas video montage?) But this works in its favor as it feels the most Christmas, over-the-top, and seasonal out of all the holiday bars I've ever been to. It also keeps it from feeling too crowded as reservations are required, so you for-sure have a seat and you don't have to stand forever in line to wait for drinks. I'd probably guesstimate that bar staff is making all of their seasonal drinks, constantly, and servers just pick one up to deliver. With the capacity in here, it would make sense. No idea what the bar is like the rest of the year; this is just a review for the Miracle pop-up which, again, is probably the best I've been to in the Midwest. Cincinnati, you're spoiled down here. (Sidenote, I was absolutely taken aback by their TV presentation on the wall. It's hard to describe, but it isn't just a projector showing a giant rectangle. It's specifically slotted into the holes in-between holiday decorations. Staff told me that had to hire special technicians to get it to show up that way and that's seriously a level of detail I am so amazed by.)
