Bella Vita is a bit off the beaten path, and that's a good thing. The greater Florence area has no shortage of dining options. When driven by convenience, or value oriented dining, it's unfortunate that we're eager to concede a truly enjoyable food experience for something that just checks the boxes. Skip a few of those trips; save up for a nice night out. Enter Bella Vita. There's a buzz. Energy. Conversations. Laughter. Stories being told. Friends and couples speaking and sharing. Phones and screens, if present, remain an afterthought. Testimony of enjoyment in body language and actions. Server knows the menu. Makes informed recommendations. Pleasant, warm, welcoming, energetic and enthusiastic. Takes pride in the craft and in the carefully crafted meals they're serving. Decor is old Hollywood meets ambient dining. Al Capone. Dean-O. Gentle lights. Prominent bar. Intimate space with every corner utilized. Not too quiet. Not too loud. Clean. Old meets new. Temperature pleasant. Bottled beers, healthy wine selection. Four courses: breads, plates, meal, dessert. Breads are light, fresh, soft. Toppings are freshly prepared. Fresh figs fight creamy blends. Flavors are layered with subtleties and enjoyment. Sausage plate. Fusion of fresh pork sausage meets Chicago with peppercini, pickled onion, and a semi sweet pepper sauce. Satisfying and shared. Lasagna: savory pasta melts away as mixes of fresh cheese, gently sweet red sauce, warmly blend with finely diced beef. A bit heavy, as it should be. Pure comfort. Generous portion. Tiramisu: light as a cloud, slightly sweet with notes of strong coffee, mascarpone, Bailey's perhaps, and a bit of cream. Enough to share, and not overwhelm. All present were joyful and enjoying the experience. We look forward to a return visit. read more

Bella Vita - Wine Bars Near Me - Union, Kentucky

This is a welcome addition to the area. As someone who lives in the city, aka Cov, it's nice to visit family without going to a chain restaurant. There were some hiccups, but not going to bring them down a star being new. Service, yes, could be better. I'll let them work the kinks out. Took about 15 minutes for a glass of wine but manager checked on us (I'm guessing) so all good. Decor seems good but tbh, didn't pay too much attention. Had the caprese salad, while not the best I've ever had, pretty solid. Touch of salt. We had vodka sauce with meatballs and Alfredo with chicken. Tasted both(not the meatball) and vodka sauce and cook were excellent. Alfredo was on point, chicken was great, and I just love broccoli in Alfredo. I told some friends who live out that way I'd go back. Love to try the sausage and peppers. Good add to the area read more

Bella Vita is absolutely worth the visit! We stopped by just six days after they opened and arrived right at 4:00 when the doors opened. There was already a line wrapped around the building! We were quoted a 45-minute wait, but ended up grabbing seats at the bar instead. The cocktails weren't my favorite, but the wine selection was phenomenal with some great options to choose from. If you're a beer drinker, just know they don't have draft beer since there is such limited space (~10 seat bar) but they do offer bottled and canned beers. The food was the star of the show. The vodka sauce was sweet, rich, and absolutely delicious. The chicken Parmesan was incredibly tender and lightly breaded. I paired it with a side of pasta tossed in their rosé sauce instead of traditional red or garlic sauce, and it was honestly dreamy (hint of spice and salt, just to die for!). Every bite was fantastic. The bread service was to die for. I am now trying to understand how a garlic olive oil dipping sauce can be so good. Truly something I will always be ordering! The only downside was the wait for food. It took about 75 minutes after ordering for our meals to arrive. That said, they've only been open six days, the restaurant was absolutely packed, and our food came out piping hot and clearly made fresh. Given how new they are, it's completely understandable, and it definitely didn't ruin the experience. Overall, Bella Vita knocked it out of the park. Great food, an impressive wine list, and a restaurant that's already drawing a crowd for good reason. We'll definitely be back! read more

We had a great experience in our first visit. Atmosphere was really nice, food was outstanding. Highly recommend!

I was so happy a regular sit down restaurant with table linens opened near our home. However, it took 42 minutes for our food to reach the table. Spaghetti, fettuccine and chicken piccata were the three orders at our table. What item takes more than 20 minutes to prepare? Then when food arrived at our table it was luke warm. Perhaps bread should be complimentary with dips being extra. This could be accomplished by raising prices by a couple of dollars. The ambiance was nice and I liked the overall vibe but the time to table was a fail. read more

Ambiance great. Food was perfect. Timing was perfect. Finished app and dinner arrived. Finishing dinner and waitress offered dessert. Everything was fantastic. read more

Space is a little small, but I like it. Great Italian food, with nice updated interior from the former farm stand restaurant. Bread was great, but I felt like it should've just came with it since most restaurants are like this with the option of adding on other things to spread or dip at an extra cost. The waitress did mention it would take 45 minutes for the food to come out which was longer, but being a new place and being so busy it's understandable. I appreciated that she let us know. The entrees were very comparable for size and price similar to Cincinnati restaurants. Overall I would say the food was great and I'm glad we have another option in Union. The parking is really tight, but it's worth the walk if you need to park further. After all that pasta it's probably a good idea anyways. read more

Our first visit could be summed up in one word: **wait**. The atmosphere was nice and the food was good, but unfortunately, the experience involved a lot of waiting. On a Thursday evening, we waited to be seated, about 25 minutes, not bad. Once seated & ordered, we waited another 57 minutes for our food, not good. The food ticket was opened at 7:02 PM, and we ultimately left the restaurant at 8:51 PM. That is A LOT of waiting for a Thursday evening. We eventually had to ask how much longer our food would be and whether we could get something else to drink. They apologized at that point, but honestly, those are things you shouldn't have to ask for when you've already been waiting that long. We were told that the "kitchen is small and had gotten backed up." My concern is that if the kitchen size is the underlying issue, this may not be something that can easily be resolved without expanding the kitchen. If this was our experience on a Thursday night, I'm not sure we would be willing to try a weekend evening. We did appreciate the complimentary desserts they provided. That was a very kind gesture, and we certainly appreciated them trying to make things right. I genuinely wish them the best of luck because the restaurant is cute, the atmosphere is nice, and the food was good; however, it was barely warm. However, for us, the cost didn't quite match the value of the overall experience. I'd also suggest considering complimentary bread rather than charging $5 for "bread service," especially when a significant amount of waiting is already part of the dining experience. Hopefully, they can work through the timing and kitchen challenges because there is definitely potential here. For now, though, our first visit left us feeling like we spent far too much time waiting. read more

Is is hard to get a table here so we sat at the bar. We shared the meatball appetizer which was so good, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. We then split the Ravioli which came in a rose sauce. This dish was the best Itailian dish I have had in this area. The service further class, the atmosphere is perfect and the prices for the quality of the food and the overall experience were very reasonable. read more

Very disappointed and normally will give a place a second chance but not sure about this place until I hear their service level improves drastically. Took an hour and 20 min for our main course and that was after it took 25 min to get initial service. Nobody came over to our table- we were virtually abandoned for most of the night. Food was decent but in very small portions and not a good value for the price. read more

They are still working on staffing issues. Waited two hours for food. The manager was very gracious and explained everything. Food was excellent and we will try again, but not for awhile until they can get a proper brigade nailed down. The three stars is just for the delay. Wait staff was friendly and we understood it's not their fault. read more

We have visited twice now and both times the food was delicious and service was excellent. This is not a quick dine establishment. Come hungry and enjoy the evening. read more

I arrived at 4:30. An hour and half wait. No reservation system. When I complained, the manager came up and gave me an attitude. I'd be hard pressed to go back. Other reviews also complained about the wait and the food was subpar. If you read through the Google Reviews you will see just how awful the owners and managers are from how they respond to constructive criticism. read more

This is a great local place. Food is incredible. i had dinner there with my in-laws from NY and they raved about the food. I would suggest as a customer, remember they are a fledging resturant and logistics are being worked out. We were seated for close to 3 hours to finish have appetizers drinks and our entree. Don't be discouraged, we spent the time catching up and r food was worth the wait. I do have reccomendations, list on the menu the sauce choices and an add when a side of pasta is available with the up charge. I think servers and patrons would benefit. thanks .. keep up the good food.!! read more
